MAIN EVENT
Zero McHannon and Cyncity vs. Jimmy Page and Johnny Cannon
A yellow spotlight suddenly shines down across the black curtain of the entrance way, whilst the house lights begin to dim down. Slowly, almost in unison with the change in lightning does "Voodoo Child" (Jimi Hendrix" Cover) by Brick + Mortar begins to play. A small ebb of yellow smoke ascends from the ventilators to grace the ramp. The Brit's silhouette emerges behind the curtain, only backed by another daintier image.
"well i stand up next to a mountain
well i stand up next to a mountain
well i pick up all the pieces
maybe even make
maybe make a little sense"
Finally, bursting through the curtain emerges "The British Mamba", Johnny Cannon. The Englishman stands before the live audience in all his strapping glory; as per usual, his cocksure, megalomaniacal grin is etched on his face as he pauses on the ramp, his head raised high and snobbishly to the sky above as he surveys the masses. Standing just behind him is none other than Quinn Goodrich, who edges on the crowd to incite their scorn. Wearing yellow and black MMA style trunks, with matching boots and a black knee brace (on his left knee), the Brit appears ready for action - not due to his attire, but due to the belligerent look in his eyes which is only revealed as he removes his Aviator Sunglasses. His eyes are those of a cold, and calculating individual. Johnny places his shades in his black track jacket with numerous insignias sewn on it, and begins his haughty strut to the ring.
"well i stand up next to a mountain
and i chop it down with the edge of my hand
well i stand up next to a mountain
and i struck it down with the edge of my hand
cause I'm a voodoo child"
J.A. Aldridge: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is your main event of the evening! Introducing first, being accompanied by Quinn Goodrich! From London, England! Weighing in at 245 pounds! He is “The British Mamba”... JOHNNY CANNON!
Cannon struts to the ring, marching with an undeniable swagger, whilst Quinn continues to taunt the audience, by swinging his arms up, and shouting whatever obscene remarks he can think of. Johnny ignores the audience on either side of him, showing complete indifference towards their opinions. He spurts forward toward the ring, and slides in under the bottom rope, before launching himself to his feet and suddenly spinning to the center of the ring in a very Shawn Michaels-esque fashion, before positioning himself carefully in the middle. He unzips his track jacket, lowering it down his hands and to the canvas below him like a male stripper, before throwing up the offensive, British, two finger salute, eliciting tremendous heat from the crowd.
"lord knows I'm a voodoo child
cause I'm a voodoo child"
From there, Johnny slowly backs into the ropes, hooking his arms back on them before bouncing several times, beginning his mental preparations and prerequisites as Quinn looks on from ringside; Cannon nods his head several times, as his eyes flicker with a hundred different ideas and strategies to carry out in the match.
Kris Cruise: Now we know why Johnny Karma refused to be at the last edition of Vertigo. He warned us that he may not have been able to control himself if him and Cannon were in the same building. But we've seen all hell break loose on two occasions tonight!
Stephy Auger: From what I've been told, Karma is still in the building! Has security restrained him!? Has he been banned from ringside!? I don't want to see this match ruined by Karma's antics!
The lights go out, and the crowd is quiet. Suddenly the pounding of drums and a dark, spacey, ambient melody plays. The pounding drums and the spacey melody intertwine with one another. Suddenly, the voice of the late David Bowie begins to play...signaling "Cat People".
See, these eyes so green
I can stare for a thousand years
Colder than the moon, it's been so long...
The lights begin to flash a deep bloody red.
Feel my blood enraged
It's just the fear of losing you
Don't you know my name
Well, you've been so long
And I've been putting out fire...
WITH GASOLINE!!!!
Page saunters out, with his trademark controlled stagger, his black track jacket over a Ziggy Stardust T-Shirt. He keeps his his march, his eyes glued forward like he was trance. The camera gets a close up of him, he pushes it away. He stops at the bottom of the ramp, and looks around for a moment soaking in the fan's disgust for him.
J.A. Aldridge: And his partner, from Flint, Michigan! Weighing in at 230 pounds! He is “The King of the F’n World”... JIMMY PAGE!
Page walks to the front of the ring, runs and slides on top of it. He begins to climb into the ring. Page stomps towards the corner and stands on top of the turnbuckle. Page lets his jacket slink off of his shoulders fully revealing his Ziggy Stardust shirt, hanging his head down for a moment before whipping his hair from his gaze. A spotlight hits him as David Bowie continues to play over the P.A. system. Page leaps down from the turnbuckle and begins to slowly sink into the turnbuckle, sitting down, signing along with the song, resting his hand on his cheek, awaiting the match.
Kris Cruise: Jimmy Page has to be sweating bullets after seeing the way Fujiko Mine has competed in recent weeks. Not only has she not backed down from the competition, but more importantly, she hans't backed down from Page!
Stephy Auger: Now while I'm happy that things have turned around for Fujicakes, she has to be out of her mind if she thinks that going against Page is a good idea. Oh yeah, it's admirable. It's even courageous. But it's dangerous and it's foolhardy. If she doesn't rethink this, she may end up on the sidelines.
The beginning of "Dam Dadi Do" by Nightcore fills the arena speakers over. Playing over the song was a loud siren, the crowd in the arena on their feet letting their voices be heard. The lights in the arena dim down just enough for the spotlight in the arena to shine directly on center stage.
Dam dadi doo dam dam didoodi dam
Dam dadi doo dam dam didoodi dam
Dam dadi doo dam dam didoodi dam
Dam dadi doo dam dam didoodi dam
When the beat kicks in heavily, Cyncity bursts out onto the ramp with her arms out to her side, pretending to be an airplane as she runs up and down the top of the ramp. When she's done messing around, she smiles and makes her way back to the top of the ramp. She stands at there for a moment, scans the crowd, and feeds from their energy before she makes her way down the ramp. She flaps her right arm up in the air and takes in the audience's cheers. She stops midway down the ramp and scans the crowd one more time, nodding her head and giving the audience a round of applause. She spins in a circle and does her trademark Sex Sells pose, her arms in the air, and bottom pushed out. Fans in attendance whistle in her direction as she breaks her pose and blows kisses to the audience.
J.A. Aldridge: And their opponents! Introducing first, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania! Weighing in at 125 pounds… CYNCITY!
She slaps the hands of a few lucky fans, and even gives a few of them hugs before she marches her way down the ramp and towards the ring. She finally pulls away from the fans then continues her quickened pace toward the ring. She slides into the ring and plays with the crowd some more, then gets herself loosened up for the upcoming match.
Kris Cruise: Here is the number one contender, Stephy! Cyncity looks to be in great shape!
Stephy Auger: She's in great shape for now. But Page is one of the most dangerous men in company history. Cannon has put two world class athletes on the sidelines. In her corner? The man that's defending his FGA World Championship against her. You think that Zero wouldn't be above leaving his "good friend" high and dry to make things just a bit easier for him?
“Same Old War" by Our Last Night hits the speakers. It's slow to pick up, but when it does, it comes in blazing as the light surveys the arena, then stays focused on the top of the ramp with a bright white light. Zero McHannon walks through the curtain with the FGA World Championship fit firmly around his waist, and a black zip up with the hood over his head. He turns his back to the audience, until the lyrics hit, then turn back around with his arms spread to the cheering crowd.
“I've been fighting the same old war,
against a disease, without a cure!
Been holding on for so long! For so long!
For so long!"
Zero holds his arms out for a moment and raises his head to take in the atmosphere from the fans, then slowly starts to make his way down the ramp. He lets the fans reach over the barrier to touch him and his world title, holding his hands out so that he can tag theirs on the way down. McHannon stops at the bottom of the ramp and bounces on the balls of his feet, looking from one side of the arena to the other, then sliding in through the bottom rope, and bouncing right up to his feet.
J.A. Aldridge: And her partner, now residing out of Long Island, New York! Weighing in at 215 pounds! He is the reigning FGA World Champion… ZERO MCHANNON!
“I've been wishing upon a star,
as my universe falls apart!
I feel so far from the sky,
as my dreams, are going by!
And they say, it's a battle that can't be won!
Should I run away,
and change my name?
Or should I stay and fight through the night?
And never close my eyes?
I'll never close my eyes!"
Zero McHannon climbs the nearest turnbuckle spread his arms and begins to yell towards the crowd as they do their best to cheer over him. He freezes for a moment, taking in the love from the crowd, then hops from the corner ropes, and tests the mat under his feet. He's talking to himself as he crosses the ring and stands up on the other turnbuckle, pointing to the crowd, and slapping himself in the chest. Finally, he unbuckles the FGA World Championship from his waste and holds it high above his head with one hand as the crowd goes nuts.
"I've come too far, to go back now,
to turn into a face in the crowd!
Been on this road for so long,
For so long... For so long!"
McHannon walks into the middle of the ring with the title in one hand, and pulls off the zip up with his other hand, tossing it into the crowd. He falls back into one of the corners, and slumps into the turnbuckle, holding the World Championship close to this chest with both hands as he waits for the match to begin.
Kris Cruise: And here is out Wor-
The bell sounds as Cannon and Page rush across the ring, blindsiding Zero and Cyncity. The crowd bursts into boos as Zero and Cyncity get attacked from behind.
Kris Cruise: Page and Cannon have just gotten the jump on Cyncity and McHannon!
Stephy Auger: Page and Cannon aren’t necessarily concerned with fighting fair. They’re concerned with getting the job done.
Page takes Zero, marches into the corner and slams him face first into the top turnbuckle. After turning Zero around, Page chokes him with both hands. In the opposite corner, Cannon lays into Cyncity with a ballistic combination of rights and lefts to the body. He caps off the combo with a European Uppercut that rocks Cyncity. He then gives her another for good measure. Back to the other side of the ring, Page is pummeling Zero down in the corner with a series of mudhole stomps. Once Zero is seated in the corner, Page chokes him with his foot. He then pulls down on the top rope for added leverage. After roughly ten seconds, Page lets go and begins facewashing Zero before taking off into the far ropes. When Page returns, he nails Zero with a running knee facewash. In the opposite corner, Cannon delivers a blistering series of chops that causes Cyncity to double over and guard her chest. Page and Cannon then look across the ring at each other. They then give each other a knowing nod before grabbing their opponents. On cue, Cannon and Page take Zero and Cyncity and go for an irish whip. But Zero and Cyncity reverse, sending Page and Cannon crashing into each other in the middle of the ring to an explosion of cheers.
Kris Cruise: Their plan backfired, Steph!
As Page stumbles back, Zero jumps up and delivers a backstabber to cheers from the crowd. Page bounces off of Zero’s knees and proceeds to roll to the outside. As Cannon stumbles back, Cyncity takes off into the ropes. When she comes back, she brings Cannon down with a hurricanrana. Cannon gets back up, but Cyncity knocks him back down with a dropkick. Cannon returns to his feet, but Cyncity returns him to the mat with another dropkick. As Cannon gets back to a vertical base, Cyncity takes off into the ropes. When she returns, she gives delivers a spinning headscissors takedown. As a now dizzy Cannon returns to his feet, he stumbles back towards the ropes. Zero sees this, so he charges across the ring and connects with a clothesline. The clothesline sends Cannon over the top rope and to the floor.
Kris Cruise: Cyncity and Zero McHannon just cleared the ring and they’ve now got this capacity crowd on their feet!
Stephy Auger: Don’t get too excited. It’s still early. There’s still plenty of match left.
While Cannon gets up on the outside, Cyncity runs into the far ropes. When she returns, Zero back body drops her over the top rope. Cyncity then lands on Cannon and brings him down with a hurricanrana. The crowd responds with cheers and applause!
Kris Cruise: How about that teamwork!? Zero and Cyncity are totally in sync!
Cyncity climbs up onto the apron and waves up Page. Once Page returns to his feet and turns around, Cyncity runs along the apron before knocking him down with a flipping senton. The crowd responds with cheers and applause!
Kris Cruise: There goes Cindy Parker again!
Stephy Auger: She’s taking out everything in sight, Cruise!
Cyncity picks up Page and slams him face first onto the apron five times. After a knee to the midsection, she shoves Page up onto the apron then back underneath the bottom rope.
Back in the ring, Page is met with a series of stomps to the chest from McHannon. The World Champion reaches down, picks up Page and moves him into the corner. From there, Zero delivers a series of shoulder thrusts to the midsection. He then takes Page and whips him across the ring. He then runs, jumps and connects with a flying forearm into the opposite corner. After bringing Page from out of the corner, Zero grabs him from the side, lifts him up and sits a back suplex, followed by an elbow drop. The crowd cheers as he makes the cover.

Stephy Auger: He planted Page with that DDT.
Zero goes over and tags in Cyncity. Once Cyncity gets back in, she delivers a stomp to Page before picking him up. She then goes for an irish whip. But Page reverses, sending her in towards the corner. But instead of crashing into the turnbuckles, Cyncity performs a headstand on the top turnbuckle. Page sees this, so he runs over to knock her over. But Cyncity knocks him down with a mule kick. She then picks up Page, pushes him into the corner and unleashes a series of knife edge chops that echo throughout the arena. She then takes Page and goes for an irish whip. But again, Page reverses. Page whips her across the ring and follows her into the corner. But instead of crashing into the corner, Cyncity runs up to the top turnbuckle, flips off and knocks Page down with the Emphatic Whispers to an explosion of cheers. She makes the cover.

Page gets his shoulder up.
Kris Cruise: Outside of that cheap sneak attack at the start, this match has been controlled by the World Champ and his Number One Contender. But that’s what happens when you’ve got teammates that are actually on the same page.
Cyncity picks up Page and goes for an irish whip. But Page reverses, sending her into the ropes. But instead of coming back, Cannon yanks her down face first to the canvas to boos from the crowd. After yanking Cyncity hard to the outside, Cyncity falls off the canvas and lands stomach first on the outside. Cyncity gets up on all fours. But Cannon is quick to nail her with a punt kick to the ribs as the crowd continues to boo.
Kris Cruise: Cannon with the cheap shots on the outside! But wait, here comes her partner!
Zero sees this, so he hops off the apron and runs to the other side of the ringside area. He turns Cannon around and nails him with a series of right hands. But Page reaches through the ropes, grabs Zero by his beard and yanks him up onto the apron. After the two scuffle, Zero nails Page with a shoulder thrust through the ropes. He then goes for a vertical suplex back into the ring. But Page slips down from behind. He goes for a German Suplex. But Zero elbows him in the face. After performing a standing switch, Zero goes for a German of his own. But Page violently flings his head back and hits Zero in the face. After performing a standing switch, Page goes for a German Suplex. Just as he lifts Zero off the canvas, he gets nailed with an elbow to the face. After Zero lands on his feet, he performs a standing switch and pulls Page’s head back by grabbing his hair. He then nails Page with a European Uppercut to the back of the neck. While Page is doubled over, Zero sets him up for a pumphandle fallaway slam. But the cheers turn to boos as Cannon runs across the ring and knocks Zero down with a lariat. Cannon continues to put the boots to McHannon as Cyncity rolls back in. She runs over behind Cannon and leaps up onto his shoulders.
Kris Cruise: Is it Cynderana time!?
She goes for the Cynderana, but Cannon blocks her from wrapping her legs around his neck. He then positions his hands underneath Cyncity’s legs before thrusting up with his arms, sending Cyncity off of his shoulders. After Cyncity flips off and lands on her feet, Cannon turns around and throws out a lariat. But Cyncity ducks and runs towards the ropes. She uses the momentum to go for a handspring elbow smash. But Cannon knocks her down with a lariat.
Stephy Auger: He just swatted her out of the air, Cruise!
The boos continue as Cannon grabs Cyncity, runs and flings her over the top rope. But while Cannon turns away, Cyncity grabs a hold of and hangs onto the top rope. After stabilizing herself, Cyncity “skins the cat,” pulling herself over the top rope and back into the ring. But before she can turn around, Cannon knocks her down with a reverse roundhouse kick to the back of the head. Page then turns her over and makes the cover.

Stephy Auger: Whatever issues they have, they can be put aside for the greater good. Which, in their mind, is beating Zero McHannon.
Once Cannon gets in, he repeatedly puts the boots to Cyncity. After reaching down and pulling her up, Cannon knees her in the midsection. He then takes Cyncity and whips her into the corner. Cannon sizes her up before running across the ring and connects with a corner knee strike. He then slips down, places Cyncity in a headlock and goes for a running bulldog from out of the corner. But Cyncity shoves her off of him and into the ropes. When Cannon returns, Cyncity throws out a clothesline. But Cannon ducks, swings around and grabs Cyncity from behind. Before Cannon can attempt a German Suplex, Cyncity runs into the ropes. She tries to hook her arms under the top rope and then jerk back to send Cannon rolling off of her. But Cannon’s grip around her waist is tight. So Cannon rolls back and goes for a German Suplex. But Cyncity backflips and lands on her feet. When Cannon turns over and gets back to his feet, Cyncity runs at him. She hops onto his shoulders and then turns herself so that she’s facing the same direction he’s in. But before she can fling back for the Cynderana, Cannon hoists Cyncity off of his shoulders. After Cyncity lands directly in front of him, Cannon quickly applies a waist lock. He then delivers a backward roll into a bridging German Suplex to boos from the crowd.

Cannon delivers a soccer kick to the small of the back.
Kris Cruise: Cannon just saved Page!
Cannon picks up Zero, delivers a single leg pickup and rams him back first into the corner. The crowd continues to boo as Cannon delivers an alternating series of back elbows and elbow smashes. But Cyncity turns Cannon around and nails him with a right hand… and another… and another. She then takes Cannon and goes for an irish whip. But Cannon reverses, puts on the brakes, turns and whips her back into the corner, where she crashes into McHannon.
Stephy Auger: Oh no!
As Cyncity stumbles back, Cannon hooks her from behind and hurls him over his head with a half nelson suplex.
Stephy Auger: What a suplex that was by The British Mamba!
While Cyncity’s down, Cannon turns over on all fours and watches her, waiting patiently to strike. As Cyncity slowly begins to rise, so does Cannon. He’s about ready to throw out the Roundhouse Kick when Zero comes out of the corner, grabs Cannon from behind and turns him around. But Cannon uses the momentum to clock McHannon with a discus elbow, knocking him down to boos from the crowd. When Cannon turns back around, he sees Cyncity on her feet. When Cyncity turns around, Cannon throws out the Roundhouse Kick. But Cyncity ducks, causing the ref to get caught with the kick.
Kris Cruise: The ref just got struck with that kick!
Cannon looks down and sees the ref out cold. When he turns around, Cyncity nails him with a series of right hands. The crowd cheers as Cyncity hammers away at The British Mamba. While Cannon's dazed, Cyncity takes off into the ropes. When she returns, Cannon turns her inside out with a lariat to boos from the crowd.
Stephy Auger: Cannon nearly decapitated Cyncity with that lariat!
Kris Cruise: McHannon’s down! Cyncity’s down! The British Mamba is standing ta-
There is a sudden commotion within the crowd. This catches Cannon’s attention. The British Mamba raises a curious eyebrow before rolling to the outside. A commotion that gets increasingly louder as more and more people can see what the camera crew cannot - until it soon becomes clear exactly what the source of the commotion is once Johnny Karma emerges through the crowd and vaults over the crowd barrier before arena security can get close to him, and the second he reaches ringside he makes a beeline for Johnny Cannon.
Kris Cruise: It’s Johnny Karma!
Stephy Auger: What is he doing out here!? How has he not been thrown out of the building!?
Karma charges towards Cannon, practically running through Goodrich as he does so, before he reaches his target and charges him back-first into the crowd barrier before he tees off with a series of hard rights to Cannon’s face before he grabs Cannon and runs him face-first into the ring apron, keeping hold of Cannon so he can run him towards the crowd barrier and hurls him clear of the barrier into the crowd, quickly climbing over the barrier to get to Cannon just as arena security once again rush down the ramp in an attempt to separate the pair of them
Kris Cruise: These two are out of control!
Stephy Auger: You’re right, which is why Karma should have been thrown out of the arena! I knew he was going to ruin this match!
Members of the crowd jostle Cannon as he tries to create some distance between himself and Karma, at which point Quinn Goodrich catches Karma with a forearm to the back of the head, creating enough time for Cannon to get his bearings about him and giving him time to grab Karma and toss him into a stack of the fans’ seats that cause the crowd to part like the Red Sea as fans duck out of the way to avoid getting hit by flying chairs, fists or wrestlers from one direction, while from another direction arena security are jumping the crowd barrier to try and get to the two me, and with all this going on Quinn Goodrich is standing over the downed Karma and giving him a dog’s abuse while Cannon - until he gets grabbed by security and bundled out of the way
Kris Cruise: Pandemonium has broken out tonight, Stephy!
As arena security march Goodrich away, Cannon picks Karma up by the hair and looks to hurl him into another pile of chairs, but at the last second Karma elbows him in the ribs to break his momentum, then elbows him again to loosen Cannon’s grip and connects with a forearm to Cannon’s face, only for Cannon to rake the eyes and turn tail, looking to get the hell out of Dodge as arena security converge upon their location and he makes his way to the nearest exit - but even then, Karma continues after him despite having his vision impaired, so once Cannon makes his way through the exit he is soon followed by Karma, with numerous members of arena security right behind them.
Back in the ring, Zero can be seen smirking as Cannon hightails it. As he backs away from the ropes, Page slides in from the other side of the ring with a steel chair in hand. As soon as Zero turns around, Page swings the chair violently at him…
Kris Cruise: NO!
… but Cyncity shoves Zero out of the way and gets waffled in the head with the chair. The ref sees this and immediately calls for the bell. The crowd falls silent at the sight of Cyncity’s limp body laying face down on the canvas.
Stephy Auger: Zero just dove out of the way of that chairshot!
Kris Cruise: What!?
Stephy Auger: Zero just dove out of harm’s way and let Cindy get hit with the chair!
Kris Cruise: He did not!
Stephy Auger: Boy, with friends like Zero, who needs enemies?
The silence that engulfed the arena is soon filled with a wave of boos. Satisfied with what he’s down, Page tosses the chair down before stepping away and slipping through the ropes. Back in the ring, Zero turns around and is shock as he sees Cyncity face down on the mat.
Zero scrambles over towards her. He calls out to her, but she doesn’t answer. He then begins pushing on her back to try and get a response. But he gets nothing but silence. He then yells at the ref to get help. While the ref signals for medical assistance, Zero places his hands on his head in shock. He continues to attend to Cyncity. But he's not getting a response. Zero is soon moved out of the way as medical personnel tends to the number one contender.
Winners by Disqualification: Zero McHannon & Cyncity
