“Back Off Evil” hits and Darby swaggers out, chewing gum as he looks around the crowd before spitting it out and batting it into the air. He makes his way down toward the ring, jabbering at a fan or two, making a pass at a couple of the more comely ladies in the crowd before he slides in, sitting on his knees and giving the official an earful before he heads toward his corner, stretching as he waits for the beginning of the contest.
CHARACTER BACKGROUND
Pic Base:
Timothy Thatcher
Gimmick:
A low-life con-man and thug from the seedier side of London. He’s got the gift of gab, and a penchant for letting that get away from him.
Bio:
Alistair Darby always had a knack for talking shit. Ever since he was a youth, Darby managed to find ways to talk his way into circumstances far beyond his standing, and talk others into dirtying their hands so he wouldn’t have to. However, Alistair also had a penchant for not knowing when to quit, getting himself...and anyone who had the misfortune of going in on one of his schemes...into hot water on more than one occasion. The most frequent victim of Darby’s mismanaged plights? Theodore Butcher…The man he affectionately called “Butchie”. After a scheme for Alistair to take over control of Butcher’s career as bareknuckle fighter (and subsequently cheat many of the London underground’s most notorious gangsters) went sideways, and Butcher cut ties altogether, Darby went on the lamb himself, plotting and scheming...and dabbling in the trade of grappling. Learning from the oldest hands, the ones who had no respect, and no qualms in playing dirty with their opposition. Any trick Darby could use to get ahead, he’d take it.
Darby, after all, had another grand plan: To find his way to the states, and pull off the biggest con of all. All he would need...was his old pal Butchie.
