ESSENTIAL INFO
Frontier Sports Group, LLC, operating as Frontier Grappling Arts and sometimes referred to as FGA or FGA Wrestling, is a major professional wrestling promotion founded in November 2011. Originally headquartered in Bloomfield, NJ (now Union, NJ), the company has steadily expanded throughout its existence, going from events held solely in the Mid-Atlantic region to events held throughout the United States, as well as Canada, the UK and Australia. From September 2017 - December 2019, the company operated with two separate brands under the FGA banner via brand split.
COMPANY BACKSTORY
If you wanted to be famous in the world of professional wrestling on the indy scene in the early 2000s, you had to go North. The Northeast, to be exact. The New England, Tri-State and Mid-Atlantic regions of the U.S. have been hotbeds for professional wrestling for decades. In recent years, a large number of independent promotions have called the Northeast home. Each promotion has jockeyed for position in the crowded Northeast scene. But since 2011, FGA has risen above the crowd, becoming one of the most prominent promotions in not just the U.S., but the world.
