“How was everyone’s Thanksgiving? I hope you guys enjoyed this time with friends and family. It was exciting for me because it was the first American Thanksgiving I celebrated since coming from Australia!”
Mercy warmly welcomed with a smile, standing at a medium frame of the camera. She wore her new branded logo forest green T-shirt altered into a crop top that showed her ample cleavage.
“To celebrate I joined a cause along with my older brother to feed the homeless during this time of feasts. It was liberating seeing those smiles on their faces giving thanks. I’m very grateful for that experience..”
Mercy smiled one last time. “Now I’m back to work, I can either do two things, continue being happy-go lucky Mercy or actually start to do something noteworthy around here in LDFC.”
Mercy’s face dropped, now changing her voice to a downbeat tone.
“I should start off that I didn’t capture the Old North Championship at 3rd Strike in that battle royal. I’m disappointed, of course but I was able to have two eliminations until Kellen Klein eliminated me. And for some reason, Kellen can’t seem to keep my name off his tongue, constantly reminding everyone he’s better than me and I’m on the lower of the totem pole.”
Mercy gave a slight roll of her eyes, trying to brush off his persistent wrangle with her.
“I shouldn’t allow a man like him get to me - but whatever, he’s not any of my concerns at the moment.” Mercy waved her right hand around to gesture her indifference.
“Right now I need to focus on my upcoming match at Pride against a person who competed in that battle royal - Becky. Becky was the first eliminated in the battle royal and if I was her I would use this match as a redemption for that shortcoming. So this means I cannot walk into this match and underestimate my opponent. But... Becky is an interesting individual, from my gathering she’s the type that gets frustrated quite easily. She can miscalculate her maneuvers and rather go against the grain when someone states otherwise to her. Understanding those two key factors does give me a better judgement on how she’ll perform. But, this relates to what I just said, I still can’t underestimate her ability. Let me bring up Kellen again, he walked into 3rd Strike blindly overconfident and did he win the Old North? Nope. Skylar Cloud outsmarted everyone and took it out from under him. So thank you for that lesson Kellen, at least you are useful for something.”
Mercy cracked a smile, giving a mini salute to the camera for Kellen.
“Anyway.” Mercy cleared her throat, getting back to her words.
“Of course I want to climb up that ladder and earn a few wins under my belt and actually win gold; So far I’ve only had one pinfall victory in my tenure here. That drive in me does not want to become subpar, I want continue growing to be much greater than I am now. Judgement goes a long way, and I’m no stranger to this. People have already branded me as the hot girl, nothing more. People don’t want to believe a woman with good looks can become a decent wrestler. It’s sorta like your botches are amplified by how big your chest is.”
Mercy scrunched her eyebrows, a bit confused if what she said even made sense. Mercy shook her head and continued anyway.
“It frustrates me to no end, but it gives me that edge to perform even better than before and continue prove those naysayers wrong. If no one is saying anything about you, then you're clearly doing something wrong. Becky, I will step in the ring with you but I will use my utmost ability to get that victory and make you beg for Mercy.”
With that, Mercy beamed with a smile for a few moments until the camera switching off.
