“I don’t like you.”
Nest folds his arms, his legs dangling off of the branch of his favorite tree. “I don’t like anything about you or what you stand for here in MY Nest. The Crimson Baroness has done nothing but make a lot of noise while devilishly sneaking her way into any opportunity she’s ever received. She’s clearly trying to make it on her looks and only her looks to which I ask…”
Nest chuckles a bit, taking a second to perhaps choose his words more carefully. “What are you doing here? Beauty pageants are for the catty. Reality shows are for the catty. Litter boxes and nip are also for the catty. One place people like you don’t belong is a wrestling ring. Ever since I saw myself going up against you at the next Pride, I’ve gone around the facility and shook any and everyone’s hand. I don’t know who makes these decisions, but during the holidays, I’m thankful to get the chance to humble you. I won’t squander the opportunity to pummel you to a pulp.”
“The Princess has started to sense my frustrations. A lot of people have started to sense these frustrations lately. I’ve never been concerned with making friends but now I’m especially done trying to show respect to those who don’t respect what this sport is about.” Nest strokes his beard. “No longer do I look at someone like The Crimson Baroness and give her the benefit of the doubt. See, there was a time where I let her actions roll off of me. Make no mistake about it, I don’t give an inkling of a damn about Emily Carter, Bree Nelson and Donnie Cross. As I alluded to online, their massacre means nothing to me. Baroness’ politicking does, however.”
The Apex Champion starts to crack his knuckles. “For months I’ve been the ultimate test. No one has forsaken my reign or knocked me out of this tree. Toe to toe, there’s been not a man I haven’t sent back down to class from my office. I’m not the principal, but the law of the land and The Crimson Baroness has done everything in her power to work her way around the law. That’s over and done with. I understand, you know in your heart that you don’t have half of what it takes to defeat me in the middle of the ring. It makes sense why you’ve been trying to hook your way up to relevance, a penis in your throat finally pressed the elevator button for you. You think you’re on your way to the top.” Nest laughs out loud. “I go one on one with Luke Wisia and defeat a valuable player for Hard Knox Wrestling at Frontier to the Future. I tore the house down, yet we all had to suffer through another one of your petty catfights that no one remembers and no one talked about once the dust settled.”
“At 3rd Strike, the best wrestlers in LDFC competed for the top prize that was once the only prize. Yet after I tore the house down again, we all had to suffer through that car wreck you six are trying to call a wrestling match. A bout full of high schoolers fighting over stolen mascots and smeared makeup headlines a show that’s supposed to showcase the cream of the crop.” Nest shakes his head. “Time and again, whatever schoolyard drama this sorry excuse for a woman is involved in gets prioritized over what fans really care about. All the he said she said, I know you are but what am I’s isn’t what wrestling is about and I reaffirm that whenever I step into the ring and lay waste to the latest social media superstar. Pride will be no different.”
Nest tilts his head.
“So what will you do? You saw in the beginning of my career that your looks has no effect on me. Even less so now. You can’t charm your way into my realm of trust like you did to Triple T. I’m not one of these naive pricks that listen to your sweet nothings and get manipulated by a blowing of kisses or blowing in general. What are you going to do when you’re standing in the middle of the ring, looking up at the man with power you’ll never possess? With an intent for evil and destruction you cannot fathom? With so much pent up frustration from the disrespect you’ve caused, be it explicit or inexplicit, just waiting to be unleashed? Nothing you do after I break you will be taken seriously. Just like Princess, for all the shit you stir, everyone will still know you can’t hold not one damn candle to me as the bell tolls. Nest Assured.”
