Our scene opens with Kellen Klein sitting on the apron of the ring that is located within the LDFC academy. The place has been empty due to the Thanksgiving Holiday. Klein, however, began his preparation as the Holiday began. He already had his Thanksgiving feast in the form of banging two cute girls for days off end. That helped him get his confidence back, but not his momentum. There was only one way to do that. Since he set up a video camera to re-watch him running the ropes, he decided it was time to cut a promo of some kind. He looked down at the faded quote that his new valet, Abby, wrote on his arm.
“First they ignore you, then laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.” Kellen was barely able to make it out after sweating some of it off. He looked toward the camera. “That was a quote from great philosopher and Planes, Trains, and Automobiles Star John Ghandy and that seems to be the battle I am fighting right now. Since I showed up, those in LDFC have ignored me, then they wrote me off as a comedy act, but now that I have proved myself by eliminating the guy that was pegged to win it all, they are trying to stop me dead in my tracks. How? By sending one of their 'So-Called' main eventers out to stop me dead in my tracks, thinking that what happened at 3rd Strike, my great showing was a fluke. Now, there is a hope that putting me up against a guy who wants nothing more than to cause others pain; to suffer as much as he has will put me in my damn place. They think it will force me back into Mercy Williams territory where I supposedly belong. Because, afterall, I am just a comedy act right?”
Klein shook his head at that notion before continuing.
“No, I am a guy who likes to have a good time by paryting and fornicating, but I am far from a joke. The real joke is Brody Watts; a guy who literally has no goals and aspirations, other than wanting to babble incoherently, who somehow deserves a main event slot over people in the Apex and Old North title scene at a special event. That is comical. Brody, you might be here to make others suffer, because, I will just guess here ...society or your parents didn't accept you for who you are or whatever bull shit reason self-pitying weirdos use to justify their actions ...but I am here because I value myself and this life more than that. Life isn't this terrible abyss you want to make it out to be, where you are the only saving grace. How arrogant and depressing do you have to be to believe that shit? My life is great because I see the opportunity it provides to those of us who have a good attitude and actual talent; who do not automatically get defeated by one road bump. You are just one of those road blocks that LDFC is putting in my way to slow down the momentum that I have, but I am going to breeze by it.
“Beyond you is a one on one match for the Old North title that I will win and from there a chance to be on the FGA roster. THAT is why I am going to win this outing: I can see my future within the company and all you can see nothingness. More than that, you have the bad luck of meeting me in the ring after I had the wool pulled over my eyes. I SHOULD have a match with Skylar Cloud soon for the title that I was so close to winning and what better way to prove that I am the rightful number one contender than to beat a guy who was headlining a super show. I hope she is watching me prove that I am your better in every way, realizing that she will actually have to step into this ring with a guy who hungrier than ever to show that he doesn't just belong in LDFC but will be a headliner in FGA someday ...and that he can do it the RIGHT WAY.”
Kellen chuckled to himself.
“That is WHY I am here. Brody, you are here for same reason you were outcasted by society: to be a nuisance to those that have a future. Like all A.D.H.D kids, you are driven to test and prod those that have motivations because you have no idea what it is like to have a purpose. Like those children, I will cast you aside on the way to glory.”
