Frustrated.
That's how Jensen Walczak has felt since the second that bell had rung and his debut had ended with him being on the losing end. The embarrassment he felt after Keegan Hightower managed to pin him while using the ropes for leverage is something that will sting every time the match is talked about, which seems to be a lot on Keegan's end.
The main problem Jensen had with all of this was that not only did Keegan Hightower win the match via cheating, but he continued to brag about it like an idiot. And it pissed Jensen off because before wrestling even made its way into his life, the way he and his...friends dealt with cheaters would have had Keegan walking around missing a finger. But unfortunately, he did not have the power to do that anymore without getting his ass thrown in a jail for at least assault. All he could do was learn from his half-brother and half-sister and maybe from his mentor on how he could retaliate on this cocky bag of dicks.
His first attempt at retaliation was nearly successful, mostly thanks to Kerry pointing out the fact that Keegan was a type who liked to taunt his "victims" face-to-face. He also pointed out that Keegan had seemingly focused his attention on Jensen and he should use that to his advantage. That's when Jensen came down to that ring with the goal in mind being to make Keegan think that he was safe, only to catch him with a move that has been perfected by his family specifically. Unluckily, Keegan managed to just duck before Jensen could have caught him in the jaw and knocked him the hell out for being the annoying little bitch that he was.
But the plan to get retaliation at Keegan is still in place and Jensen won't stop until he knocks him out with the Bank Shot, a move he didn't learn from Lion's Den, but from the damn creator himself.
However, his focus now has to shift on his second ever opponent in the company, and this guy is a tougher test than Keegan. And hell, he failed that first test when he got caught in something that he should have been prepared for. But no, Jason Bronco is a whole different breed of talent and Jensen is definitely going to have to step his game up. And maybe Jason Bronco has a lot better morals than Keegan, who seems to find it funny to mock a deaf girl. Or at least, that's what Jensen thinks at the moment. For all he knows, Bronco can be just as big of an asshole as Hightower and Jensen could be basically getting another crack at replaying his debut match and fixing his mistake should Bronco go the Hightower route.
However, he's not gonna think of Bronco like that unless he gives him a reason to. And if he does give him that reason? Then Jensen is not only going to kick Jason Bronco's ass, but he's going to make sure that the guy never ever attempts to try that shit again.
Jensen sits at the table in his apartment in Gibsonville, staring at the small stack of papers with a focus that it takes the light running of some small steps to finally snap him out of it. He quickly turns his head and sees his godson, Gage, smiling as he runs up at him and motions for his godfather to pick him up. Jensen chuckles before he finally grabs Gage and lifts him up before letting him sit on his leg. The 3 year old then quickly reaches in and hugs his godfather, getting another smile out of Jensen before quickly letting him go and looking up at him with those big blue eyes.
"What are you doing up? I tucked you in an hour ago."
"Couldn't sleep."
"You couldn't sleep?"
Gage furiously nods his head, getting another chuckle out of his godfather. Walczak slowly gets to his feet with his godson in his arms before walking him back over to his room. Once in the room, Jensen slowly sets the son of Rhys Baines down in bed and tucks him back in again before flashing him another smile.
"Do your best to go to sleep. No monsters will get you, ok?"
He nods just as Jensen turns and begins walking out of the room, only for Gage to ask a question that makes him stop in his tracks.
"Can I come watch you wrestle next show?"
Walczak slowly turns before staring at the boy he is now a legal guardian of.
"Yeah...sure. Just...go to sleep now, okay?"
He nods again and Jensen quickly exits the room, closing the door shut behind him.
"Fuck."
