“Welp my nightmare has come true. They finally stuck me in a tag team match.” Nest shakes his head. “I made a point to distance myself from people so that I wouldn’t fall victim to these glorified double dates. Teams aren’t what I do, and that’s well documented in the files of anyone who knows me.” Nest’s voice trails off, realizing that that’s a very small and exclusive pool of people. After a sigh, the champion started to smile. “But with these conditions, I can’t be too surprised. Thus, I won’t complain. Triple T’s been having trouble with the ubermenches, and now he finds himself making a bee line for my Apex title.”
Pondering, Nest smirks. “Logic would have Terrence run the gauntlet to settle of his beefs in one fell swoop. Unfortunately, I have a sense of respect for the guy and won’t be looking or needing an advantage over him. T’s been nothing but cool beans with me ever since we had our first training class together.” Nest takes a moment to rub along the trunk of his tree. He wasn’t sitting in his usual tree, but standing right in front of it, looking down at the dirt that covered its roots. “Frankly, if I had no choice but to team up with someone, I have no issues with it being Terrence Tillman. Despite the fact that we’re about to be opponents, I haven’t forgotten the fact that T’s been one of the few in my corner since I first started out in this wrestling thing. Because of that, I’ve always felt the obligation to return the favor, and in that sense we could be considered acquaintances.” Looking down, Nest’s smile goes to a frown. “I’m sure Tillman knows that even though there may be what they call chemistry between us in that ring Wednesday night…that’s not a Nest he wants to get used to seeing.”
Chuckling and pushing away from the tree, Nest leans his back on the trunk. “But I don’t have to go there right now. This week it’s all about the two people who’ve been trying to cause Tillman a little bit of hell. I may not seem like I pay attention to all of what goes on in the LDFC but I do.”
“Ze Germans.” Nest continues to chuckle. “Ever since the Lion’s Den opened, all I’ve done was observe these two angry uptight foreigners. In my observations, I found a lot of things. For one, Liesl’s name isn’t ‘Lies!’ and these two are actually quite talented in the ring. Wherever they came from obviously wasn’t producing the competition, because they arrived here and have been nothing short of dominate.” Nest strokes his beard. “As far as tag teams go that is. It piques my curiosity as to what the relationship is between Hanz and Liesl. I’m not really sure who’s manlier. Which one really carries the Hoden, if you will. I don’t know if you two are lovers or brothers. Most of all, I don’t know what your endgame is; but what I do know is the games you’ve been playing are about to come to an abrupt end.”
“We don’t have a title for tag teams right now. There’s not enough teams around that you two haven’t put an end to to even consider it.” Nest folds his arms, looking down to the dirt.“Yet and still, you two have a bond that can’t be broken. Between you both, there’s a mutual love for terrorizing the humble talents that come through my Nest. What’s funny is that neither one of you seem too excited to be stepping in the ring with the Apex Champion. How come I’m not getting the same superiority complex that every one else has? I feel left out that Hanz hasn’t done more to threaten me before this match, and I can’t help but wonder why.”
Scratching his head, Nest finally cracks a smile. “It wouldn’t be respect, because the way you two carry on, I doubt you even respect each other. Just using one another until the opportunity to break out on your own presents itself. Sooner or later one of you will get tired of holding the other’s weight. That’s when you’ll have the real dick measuring contest isn’t it?” Nest laughs. “Then after one of you prevails, you’ll want to see how you fair against the LDFC Standard. Well, Liesl and Hanz you two are in for a treat. Instead of forcing everyone to watch this inevitable trainwreck, this week on Pride I will personally give you both a good old fashioned American country ass beating. Whether or not Triple T brings it to the dance is irrelevant. You two will know that neither one of you are in MY league. Nest Assured.”
