The scene opens to the women’s locker room in the LDFC training facility. The camera pans along the room, revealing a white tile floor, light tan benches and Carolina Blue lockers that line the walls. The room was quiet, except for the spurting shower heads that could be heard in the distance. Suddenly, the rattling of a locker door is heard. After a hard pan to the right, we see Emily Carter, who’s ready to FINALLY make her in-ring debut for LDFC. Carter stands dressed in black sneakers, black mesh shorts and a gray “Property of LDFC” tee.
"Hey everyone! Emily Carter here and I’m super excited to finally be debuting for Lion’s Den! As I’m sure you know, I was supposed to make my debut a few weeks ago at 2nd Impact. But a certain somebody had to go and ruin all the fun."
(Carter sucks her teeth at the thought of The CrimsonBaroness Witch.)
"But it’s okay because that same week, I was able to secure a spot in SSWA’s UK Cup! I even got a win over Morgan LaSalle. Can you believe that?"
(Carter nods as even she’s still shocked at pulling off the upset.)
"As good as it was to get a win in a place as great as SSWA, it means so much more to finally be able to step into a ring here in LDFC. I’ve been itching to debut for a while now. After impressing the trainers at the tryouts in June, I thought I’d be on the roster in no time. But boy was I wrong. I didn’t get added to the roster for another month or so and I’m just now having my first match. At first, I thought maybe I did something wrong. Maybe they had buyer’s remorse. It hurt seeing people get signed and having matches after I went through that training camp. But I quickly realized that the trainers were doing it for my own good. They didn’t want to just throw me to the wolves. They wanted me to be as ready as possible for my debut. Looking back, I couldn’t be more grateful. Especially to our assistant head trainer, Riley Owens. Thanks again, Coach."
(Carter gives a thumbs up to her favorite trainer.)
"Now I finally get to show everyone what I’m made of here in LDFC. It’s not just wrestling in front of you great fans that has me pumped. But I also get to wrestle in front of my good friends Bree Nelson, Donovan Cross and Jensen Walzcak."
(Carter tucks her hair behind her right ear as she blushes at the thought of Jensen.)
"But I’ve got quite the test in store for me. LDFC isn’t pulling any punches with the new girl. They’re throwing me right into the ring with Valcone.
You know, there was a time that I actually liked you. I used to tune into Pride and be amazed at what I saw. Sure, you were arrogant to a fault and could never win the big one. But you had so much talent, Valcone, and you still do! More than that, you used to be such a handsome man. Not just on the outside. But I could tell that there used to be someone sweet inside underneath all of that bravado. That’s why it upsets me to see someone that used to be so gorgeous turn into… this.
I know it hurt losing to Nest time and time and time again. I’m sure you were beyond embarrassed. But you didn’t have to turn into this. And what you did to both Bree and Donnie? That was uncalled for! Donnie and Bree never did anything to you. They always respected you as a competitor. Yet you showed disrespect in return.
Well I’ve got a newsflash for you. Donnie and Bree didn’t make you hate yourself. Donnie and Bree didn’t make you ugly. You did this to yourself. Your refusal to cope with reality has caused all of this. You can grow out that goatee. You can wear that silly green mask. But we all see you for exactly what you are: a petty, insecure coward.
You might have slithered away with a win at 2nd Impact. But it’s just like Donnie said, cheaters never prosper. You’ll find that out the hard way because at Pride, I’m coming for you! I’m not just doing this more me. I’m doing it for me friends Donnie and Bree, too!
See you next Wednesday… MacRear"
