After Show For Pride S02E05

Hey guys. I figured this would be a good way to keep storylines moving heading into the "off week".

After each show, I'll post an After Show thread for each show. The idea of the After Show is to give your in-character thoughts on what happened on the show.

Want to move your storyline alone? Talk about it?

You wanted to send in that backstage segment but never sent it in time? Post it here.

You got attacked? Talk about it.

You got screwed? Talk about it.

You want to brag? Talk about it.

I'm not asking for anything much. This isn't even mandatory. But 5-6 lines at the most is perfectly fine. If you want to do more than that? By all means, go for it.

If you do respond to these threads, then your character's dialogue will be used in upcoming magazine shows, DVD tapings and news reports. Again, it's just a way to keep storylines moving.

The camera cuts to the back to find Katherine Kensington standing in front of Pride's backstage interview set-up. Presumably responding to a signal from the cameraman, the recently-promoted Intermediate student brings the microphone to her lips to say a few simple sentences:

'I hope, after tonight, my fellow students realise I had every intention to deliver on the promises I made two weeks ago. I have certainly made that much clear to a certain, preening, posturing fellow countryman of mine. And now...I shall do likewise to one of the most insufferable people I have had the displeasure of knowing.'

Katherine pauses, a smirk allowing itself onto her lips.

'Your Highness, I do hope your...ahem...'victory' over my fiance did not boost your ego so much that you were not paying attention to my match with Mr. Butcher. Or rather...I hope it did. It will only make what happens next all that much sweeter...'

With this, and another enigmatic smirk, the Brit exits the interview area, leaving it free for anyone else who wishes to use it.

Long after the camera's for Pride stop rolling. Long after everyone in the locker has gone their separate ways. 

The LDFC Apex Champion is sitting on the floor in a dark corner. The belt is across his lap, though barely visible, and he's seen wielding a meat cleaver. 

"Butcher..."

We zoom in to see a dark smile on the face of Nest. 

"I'm talking. I'm breathing. I'm coherent. I'm champion. As far as I'm concerned, you proved nothing tonight I already didn't know. You're weak. Even coming off the high of an attack, you still managed to disappoint me where it mattered. Well as the saying goes you don't get another chance at a first impression."

Nest chuckles.

"Hell after I see you at Second Impact...you won't get another chance to do much of anything. Nest Assured."

The champion darts the meat cleaver towards the camera lens causing an abrupt end to the stream.

Backstage after Pride, Jessie Pederson finds Triple T leaving the locker room with his gear bag over his shoulder. Jessie rushes to catch him for a quick word.

JESSIE: Triple T can I get your thoughts about tonight?


TRIPLE T: Any time J.P.! Tonight was epic in so many ways. Nest going through tables, the Germans faring with Bond, Katie getting the “w” over the number one contender! It was an amazing night.


JESSIE: One thing you forgot to mention is your win. We got to see “Skyfall” for the first time tonight and it was devastating. What made you bring it out tonight?


TRIPLE T: Jessie the bottom line it’s time to take things to the next level. Shintaro Majima is a next level competitor and I had to take it up a notch to win that match. I’ve been working on “Skyfall” for a while in training and I felt it was time to give the T-Unit something special.


JESSIE: You say next level, but you are already one of the top stars here in the LDFC. You are in the advanced class now and could at any time make that move to the FGA, is that your motivation right now?


TRIPLE T: Actually it’s not. No you see there is one thing I have to do before I can even begin to think about making the jump. I can’t leave the LDFC without being the Apex Champion. That’s my focus that’s my goal. And no disrespect to whomever holds it when I get my shot, but you are one “Skyfall” away from being the FORMER Apex Champion.


The days of doubt and wonder are over. I know I have what it takes, the guys in the back know I have what it takes, the big wigs in the offices know, Hanz found out a few weeks ago and Majima found out tonight, and the T-Unit knew it from day one! You can call it a “catchphrase”, a “gimmick” or whatever you like, but I am beyond a shadow of a doubt the Future of this Industry and the Pride of the LDFC. And I will be the LDFC Apex Champion sooner than later…and like that skinny guy with the crazy hair likes to say….”Don’t believe me…Just watch.”

With that T high fives Pederson and heads towards the exit.
