[Top Tier Terry]

It’s early morning and Triple T is walking on a track at a local college. He is in a full sweat suite with the hood over his head. He face barely visible. He looks up at the clear blue sky as if he were reflecting on something before he finally begins to speak. 

TRIPLE T: Obstacle… a thing that blocks one's way or prevents or hinders progress.
 

Common synonyms: barrier, hurdle, stumbling block, obstruction, bar, block, impediment, hindrance, snag. In my time here in the LDFC this word could very well describe a great part of my career. I mean two steps forward…three steps back. Win a big match lose two right after. You get the point. Last Pride I fought in one of the most physical altercations I’ve ever had in my life let alone career. Hanz Kuntz and I had a fight…not a match and I came out on top. After that I went to All Star Showdown in front of the biggest crowed I’ve ever performed in front of. And no I didn’t win the match but the experience outweighed the loss. The electricity, the roar of the fans…it was intoxicating. It was a high that stayed with me all the way to the flight home.

Here’s the thing. I don’t want to come down. I don’t want to take steps back anymore. I have let obstacles hold me back, slow me down, distract my focus. I pushed and worked my way to the top tier of the LDFC and I have nothing to show for it except missed opportunities….obstructions like Hanz Kuntz, snags like losing to Mc…Val…Rear…core in the Apex tournament.

Now next week I take on Shintaro Majima. This guy is a beast. He is quick…cunning…and dangerous. He just picked off the so called number one contender and is Hell bent on marching his way to the top…he is beyond a shadow of a doubt, and obstacle.

But here’s the thing…overcoming obstacles is what I do. It’s what I’ve always done. It’s why I went from beginner to intermediate to advance, it’s the reason I walk in the underdog and walk out the victor. It’s what gives me the ability to put the big scary German monster to sleep…

Triple T removes the hood from his head. A confident smile across his face. 

TRIPLE T: It’s time for me to do what I came here to do and that’s be number 1. So that means if it’s Makima, Val…Mc…Recon…Butcher or even Nest…I will become the Apex Champion sooner than later. This is my time. This is my moment and I absolutely refuse to have any more stumbling blocks stop me from my goal.


Shintaro. There are no introductions needed. I’ve seen you in the ring. I’ve seen you training in the LDFC facility. I know what you bring to the table. But I hope you understand that you are not facing a wannabee tough guy that lucked into the title picture, you are facing the “Pride of the LDFC”, the future of the FGA, the shoulders that carry this place Terrific Terry Tillman and with the hottest chick in the game on my arm and the T-Unit at my back your best bet is to battle for number 2…cause I’m locking down the top spot one TTO at a time!

Suddenly a vibrating noise can be heard and T reaches in his pocket. He sees whose calling and smiles as he answers. 

TRIPLE T: Good morning baby girl…yeah I missed you too…I’m on my way to the facility now…
