Betraying her name, Serenity's irises are fiery and animated, her mouth angled into a sly grimace.
"So. New show, new opponent... and the same words about me as always."
The eyes, they roll.
"Serenity, Ligaya, they're stoners," she gasps, bulging her eyes and letting her mouth hang open in mocking parody of disgust, "Sometimes they say it dismissively or derisively. Sometimes they say it shocked and affronted. But they say it. Always they say it. Every fucking match me or Ligaya's had since we signed with LDFC, feels like someone feels this desperate need to point out this fact." She shakes her head and sneers, "Well here's a shocking revelation for you: half the main FGA roster smokes weed. You watch a Sunshine Scandalous promo, look in his eyes, and tell me he ain't hit a blunt right before the cameras started rolling. Shit, half the damn population of this planet smokes weed. You probably fucking smoke weed, AKIRA. But with me and Ligaya, just me and her and nobody else, it seems to be this terrible crime that overshadows everything else we do. We don't hide it, sure, but it's not like we're those stoners who constantly talk about weed because it's the only thing to their identity. But apparently the LDFC roster can't tell the difference. Guess they ain't goddamn smart enough. Either way I'm starting to wonder if I'm facing the same person every damn show just made up to look like someone new, because you all fucking sound exactly the same."
She grins as she asks, "Are you a better fighter than me, AKIRA?" Shrug. "Probably. Like you like to point out, you're just about close enough to undefeated to be able to call yourself that. Now explain to me why I oughta give a fuck? I ain't a natural, I know this. Nature didn't make my body for fighting. Still beaten better fighters than myself before though. And I'll take that; I didn't start wrestling to be the baddest bitch or whatever. Fuck that. I started wrestling to continue the legacy of a man who never backed down no matter what. Who never gave up and never gave anything less than 100% to the fans. A man who requested to be booked twice on each show just because wrestling meant that much to him; a man who would throw absolutely everything into a barbed wire ropes match, a steel cage match... then an hour later go out and do it again. Guess what - he didn't have a great win-loss record either. Company he's most associated with, he was there five years and never won a single title. And you know what? That didn't stop the fans flocking to see him. Didn't stop him inspiring people around the world. Just like some losses won't stop me," she adds, determinedly.
That grin creeps back. "AKIRA... I think you think getting stoned is my entire identity because wins and losses are your entire identity. If you beat me, then whoopdefuckindo, you roll on the same, I have another meaningless loss to someone in another division... but if I beat you? Then you just got handed your first proper loss to some 'failed stoner-chic idiot' nobody pays attention to and nobody takes seriously. And the oh-so-great fighting god gracing LDFC with her presence, who's insulated herself from her own vapidity with her win-loss record, is suddenly looking at the lights courtesy of someone who's sooo faaaar beneath her... how would you handle that humiliation, AKIRA? Would it break you?"
She winks, brow creased aggressively.
"Let's find out."
