For the two weeks leading up to Pride S02E03, Crimson Baroness constantly berated me. She told me she was going to wipe the floor with me. That I was not on the level with her when it came to the LDFC ring and that her own personal journey towards whatever prize she is seeking would drive her right through me. I must admit, the way she talked I fully believed her. She fights hard like bitch, just the same way she speaks to everyone she obviously doesn’t like. But as with many of my matches, I was scared of a bark that was much harsher than the bite. I beat Crimson Baroness and move right back on to the next obstacle. A woman on her own mission, one that includes targeting a woman in this business just as upbeat and excitable as myself, Annie Zellor. I assume the need or want to kick me in the back of my head the same way she did poor Annie is just as strong. But I’m done being afraid. I got my anti-venom in my pocket and I’ll survive the adder’s strike. Will she have any bite left when I come back at her once she’s given all she’s got?
Dear Interwebs,
Dear Interwebs,
I won again. So yay! I mean, I’ve had some fights recently that have meant a lot to me. Losing to Nest really hurt, but it’s okay because he’s the Apex Champion and top dog. Losing to him just reaffirmed the fact that he’s right where he’s supposed to be. But beating Crimson Baroness after all the things she had to say to and about me before our match... That was a highlight of my still young and blossoming career. Just goes to show that I am not a person to be slept on.
People still do it though. They still see me as a small girl with nothing to show the wrestling world. I’m the one that stands in the way of every other wrestler that gets into the ring with me. All I am to them is something that stops them from being or fighting whom they want to fight. I’m not seen, but I like that. It’s nice to me. It means that much more every time I am able to beat people everyone writes me off against.
For example, my upcoming match against Hana Song. The Black Adder seems to think that I’m just nameless victim number three. I can see how she’d think that too. She’s new. She probably doesn’t care to know me any more than she has to. And she has this ultimate goal it seems, much like Crimson Baroness does. I’m not in that plan so I don’t matter in the end. But after Episode 4 of Pride, I’ll matter in Black Adder’s story just as I do in Crimson Baroness’ now.
The time is coming when matches against me are seen as a jumping point or the end of the road for my opponents. To get to their goals, people are going to have to go around me, or try their best to go through me. Beating Hana Song will be another bullet point on my resume going forward. She’ll be a tough nail to hammer down, but I have been in similar situations. I forge forward fighting to the end, and more often than not I come out on top. Episode 4 will be no different. I may not hear you Hana, but I see you coming and I’m ready to separate the head of the snake.
