The easy road leads to ruin

Then...
Shintaro Majima is sat backstage after the last show, soaked in perspiration yet deep in thought...
For someone who calls themselves a "fighter", AKIRA Kaede resorted to wrestling manoeuvres more than she would ever admit. No truth pours from her ignorant mouth, only poison. I no longer feel sorry for her, but for the nation she claims to have an affinity with - although I am glad that my country is spared the shame of association.
Now...
Majima is once again at the LDFC gym and he is unleashing some brutal-looking forearms on a poor, defenceless punch bag. With his assault finished, he takes a step back and allows the bag to swing in the air for a moment before he places a hand on it to stop its momentum before he walks away and takes a seat on a nearby bench.
There is no greater shame than failing to shut the mouth of an arrogant fool, and that is what happened the last time I set foot in the ring. Because of my failing, poison will continue to flow from the ignorant mouth of that buso, and for that I am truly sorry.
At best, I can take slim comfort from being able to redress a previous failing, as I once again face Katie Kensington, and it is time to put her down and make sure she stays down. Yet there is a bigger issue, as I will be teaming with Butcher - the "man" who prevented me from claiming a debut victory. But now…
Majima takes pause, taking a lot of consideration over his next words
…now I need to consider looking and moving forward. There is what has already been done, and then there is what needs to be done, and that is where my focus lies – not on the past, but on Katie Kensington and Johnny Ajax.
Majima places the back of one hand in the palm of the other, studying it for a second, before looking back towards the camera.
I would say that Ajax should ask his partner about what is in store for him, but his partner spent more time trying to evade the inevitable than face it head-on that she would be unable to give an honest account of how hard I hit. I could suggest you ask AKIRA Kaede, but… Majima pauses, ruefully shaking his head while wearing the facial expression of somebody sharing a confined space with a foul stench, …why would you want to do that?
Yet I am sure Ajax doesn’t need to ask such questions, after all he has spent time in Japan so will know the honours and traditions just as much as he knows that holding back is not something he will see in a Japanese ring. If anything, at least he is prepared for what will be coming his way, if not physically at least mentally.
Yet is he prepared for Butcher? This is a man who wants to get inside Katie’s head, and I doubt he is above hurting her friend and partner is below him. So the question for Ajax is whether he is willing to be a pawn in another man’s game, which is a very different question but the answer may well be the same. After all, love hurts - but will it hurt more than... Majima mimes throwing a chop, before looking directly at the camera.
You will soon find that out for yourself.
