Liesl was dressed in her ring gear tonight, strutting a bit for the camera as she gave thought to what she wanted to say to the woman that called herself The Crimson Baroness. Running her hands down her sides she flipped her hair before she began.
"The Crimson Baroness, for a moment I wondered if you might be German, but no, no such luck. Just a strange little girl who likely got her name from a Peanuts cartoon, yes? No? It doesn't matter much, really. You have designed yourself to appeal to a very specific sort of wrestling fan, haven't you? Look how cute you are, to get in front of a camera and spout off about things you know nothing about."
Liesl sneered, shaking her blond head.
"It should not bother me, I suppose, that someone as ignorant as you would think to pontificate about the advantages of being mentored by an example of a true man like Hans Kuntz. I imagine it is beyond you to understand who he is and what he stands for. That is no surprise, really. Look at you, with your little squishable face."
Liesl sighed, putting her hands together as if she were praying.
"He is perfection in the ring, and he is who I have chosen to emulate. But for all your words, all you revealed is what you do not understand. You think you can get me to doubt him, to get in my head and under my skin. You think you are clever for this, but I wonder who you are truly grandstanding for."
A quick, disrespectful roll of her eyes followed.
"You talk and talk, and while you did well enough in your first match, really that's all it was. You are here because you wish to learn how to wrestle properly, there is no denying this fact. What is also a fact is that you are woefully inexperienced in many facets of what it means to be a true wrestler."
Liesl gave an almost sympathetic smile to the camera.
“I wonder most how you will handle your first loss, far more about that than you would like, little girl. You have already shown us how you handle a win, and I am not as impressed as you would hope. Anyone can showboat after a win, celebrate as if they won the lottery so they can sit around on their fat American asses and do nothing. That is only showing your woeful lack of experience. A true wrestler will show their spirit after a loss. A true wrestler does not let a small setback stop them, they will learn and grow, and improve as I always do after any match I am found in.”
She nodded firmly, convinced of the truth of her words.
“This is why I did not despair when my own first match did not go as well as your own did, Baroness. This is why I examined what happened and thought about what I might do better. These are things that will simply help my career get bigger, and better. These are the sort of things that Hans teaches me. So for you to disparage him, to focus so much on him? This was your mistake, because it will not be Hans across the ring from you in Gibsonville, no. It will be me, and I unlike you have something I wish to prove. So I suppose I should thank you, and this I will do...with my fists.”
Liesl smiled though there was no warmth in it as the camera feed faded.
