I knew the day would come but I wasn't ready. I guess I didn’t expect everything to be rainbows, candy corn, and unicorns but being attacked after our great match with Hans and Liesl surprised me. Two people that vowed to take me and Donnie apart... we fought to a time draw. So naturally, this was a bit upsetting to them. So it makes sense that two people so angry with American culture would attack two strong bayou kids that wouldn't just lay down.
Thank goodness for 420 BC right? They showed up and ended what could have gotten really bad. Cause despite the fact we were able to hold our own against Hans and Liesl that was a long match. The fact of the matter is that if we'd been left out there to fend for ourselves we may not be fighting at New Generation at all. So I've got all the thanks in the world for Serenity and Ligaya. Then a few days later the final card for New Generation is released and I see that we get a second chance to beat Hans and Liesl. But not only that, we are forced to fight once again against the two tough veterans that I know have taught me so much in my short career about tag team wrestling. It's going to be a great triple threat tag match, and I just hope that Donnie and I can continue doing what we do. Winning at New Generation would just be so perfect for our first supercard cycle.
Hello Interwebs!
Bree here again, just a few short days away from LDFC's first ever supercard, New Generation. As I looked forward to what my first ever supercard match would be like this triple threat tag match was the last thing I pictured. Not just because of what type of match it is, but what has happened going into it.
Donnie and I always dreamed about being professional wrestlers together in the same company when we grew up. For some reason though, those dreams never included us tag teaming together. Perhaps because ten plus years ago when we started it was still considered taboo to have males fighting females and vice versa. But here we are learning to wrestle in an era where gender doesn't define the boundaries that we face in the ring. The only thing separating you from your opponents is your skill level and how high your potential can reach. So Donnie and I embrace the idea of standing in each other's corners when we are asked to. And we fight as a team because we've been best friends, a team of sorts, for over ten years. Never saw that coming.
But the other side of unexpectedness in this match is just how familiar we are with our opponents in this supercard match. We've fought 420 BC and beat them. We fought Hans and Liesl to a time draw. And I fought Ligaya one on one and beat her. Me and Donnie have the luxury of having scouted our opponents on multiple occasions already and even have tape of them fighting each other. If we use all these information to our advantage there's no possible way we could be more prepared than we are. The only thing left is literally to go out there and fight the match.
I know Donnie and I's plans are to go out there and fight our hardest. I hear the way the crowd cheers when we come out. We'll make sure to keep the reason for those cheers going!
