Cliff Hangers

The ending of the latest episode of Grey’s Anatomy is playing on the television as Bree sits on the edge of her seat staring at the television. The close captions tell her the story as she watches the picture go by. As the last frame of the shot shows the sticky note with the words “Derek?” on it, the show fades out and the credits begin to roll. Bree silently screams and throws a pillow across the room. It hits Donovan on the back as he sits at the computer desk near the kitchen. He turns and looks at her. She shrugs and smiles at him. Donovan then signs to her.
Donovan: (What was that about?)
Bree: (These stupid cliff hangers on Grey’s anatomy. Is he cheating or isn’t he?)
Donovan: (Falling right into their trap.)
Bree: (I’ll bet he’s cheating. He’s a guy, it’s in his nature. Pig.)
Donovan rolls his eyes at Bree and both laugh.
Donovan: (You’ve been watching too much drama on TV Bree. Television doesn’t always imitate reality dawlin.)
Bree then turns off the TV and walks over to Donovan. She gives him a hug from behind before she sees that he’s playing with her promo video from this week. She then let’s go and looks at the monitor as he plays with some of her video effects.
Bree: (Our LDFC training is like Grey’s Anatomy though.)
Donovan laughs and then looks right at her.
Donovan: (How in the world do you make that correlation?)
Bree sits down on a folding chair next to Donovan at the computer.
Bree: (Well, So far we’ve both done just enough to get wins in LDFC. But every match we’re put into since we’re new, people wonder if we’ll be able to do it again. It leaves them on the edge of their seat like a cliff hanger.)
Once again Donovan laughs. He can’t help but appreciate the way Bree’s mind wanders sometimes.
Donovan: (Yeah, I guess that’s true enough. Not going to be much different this time around either. We’re both rookies, and we both face a tag team that has been wrestling together for a long time. This is definitely the biggest challenge yet.)
Bree pumps a hand into the air as she enthusiastically signs…
Bree: (We can do it!)
Bree then points at the computer screen and motions for Donovan to play her promo video back for her. Over top video of her match with Ligaya Fontaine and clips of all her training, Bree has put her promo into words. The video effects Donovan has added for her play around the video and words making it perfect. The video reads…
Donovan: (What was that about?)

This week on Pride, Donovan and I get to do something we've dreamed about.
We tag team the same way we would when we were kids.
Facing off against an established tag team we both really respect.
I can’t wait for the challenge and I know it’ll be a great match.
