Battle Royal for the vacant Mid-Atlantic Legacy Championship
Mike Bisignano, Alec Sage, Camellia D. Magna, Jason Richards, Seth Lawless, Jake Wylde, Prince Kaour, Noelle Smith, Fujiko Mine
Kris Cruise: Up next is the 8-Person Battle Royal for the vacant Mid-Atlantic Legacy Championship! You know, Stephy, it was just about a year ago when this title was won the first time by a Battle Royal.
Stephy Auger: Yes it was. If I remember correctly, Jason Richards was also in that Battle Royal. You could bet that the Strong Style Wolf is looking to right his wrongs from the last time and walk out the new champion.
Kris Cruise: There are so many sub plots in this one, Stephy. How are Mike Bisignano and Alec Sage going to go about this match? Will they try and be the last one's standing? Or will they go after each other? Don't forget that The Biz also has history with Prince Kaour, as well.
Stephy Auger: Of course, there's the hometown girl, Camellia D. Magna. There's nothing more Cami would love than to win that title in front of her friends and family.
Kris Cruise: Noelle Smith has been in a bit of a funk lately. She's fought hard in all of her matches. But she seems to come up just short. Winning the title would be a huge step in the right direction.
Stephy Auger: There's also Fujiko Mine, who has definitely used some trickey to come out on top more often than not. Does she have anything up her sleeve tonight?
Kris Cruise: Then there's Jake Wylde, who got the biggest win of his career over Chaz Holiday at A New Odyssey. Can he ride that momentum to a title win here?
Stephy Auger: Speaking of momentum, one person that needs it is Seth Lawless. But this is his type of match. The last time Lawless was in a Battle Royal, he literally eliminated every single other person in the match. Can he do it again?
Kris Cruise: There's only one way to find out? Let's send it to the ring where J.A. Aldridge is standing by with the in-ring introductions...
The low rumbling synth beats rumble through the arena, and warps into a funky beat that tells the crowd who is on their way. The crowd begins to cheer for Lady Luck, as pink and purple lights dance around the entrance area. As the beat drops, Fujiko leaps through the curtain, jumping into the air and whipping her head forward. Her hair flows through the air around her head, and when she lands she has a large grin on her face. The crowd that is on her side sings along to the 'whoas' in the song, which really gets her hyped up.
J.A. Aldridge: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! It is a Battle Royal for the vacant Mid-Atlantic Legacy Championship! Introducing first, from Milwaukee, Wisconsin! Weighing in at 140 pounds! She is “Lady Luck” FUJIKO MINE!
She begins bobbing her head to the music for a moment before slapping hands with the fans. Once she reaches ringside, Fujiko leaps onto the apron from the floor. She walks over to the turnbuckle, and hops up onto it, singing along as some of the crowd members throw multicolored streamers around her. She revels in the attention, before hopping down into the ring as she is announced, ready to start the match.
“Even Flow” by Pearl Jam hits, and the crowd begins to boo instantly. Jake Wylde makes his way from the back pushing the curtains aside, taking a drink from his water bottle and dumping some on his head. He runs his hands through his hair and over his face, looking at the fans with a look of disgust.
J.A. Aldridge: And her opponent, now residing out of Lockport, New York! Weighing in at 202 pounds! He is “The Infection” JAKE WYLDE!
He mocks some, keeping his distance from them before sliding onto the apron. He sits there, back to the ropes looking at the fans on both sides of the ring, shaking his head. He hops up, and climbs into the ring getting ready for battle.
“Riptide” by Sick Puppies sounds through the speakers in the arena. The main lights go dim and the entrance ramp is lit by blue and green lights. Fog slowly rolls down the ramp, covering the floor. Cami steps onto the top of the ramp with a huge smile on her face. She walks down the ramp, constantly looking around, spinning in a circle so as not to miss anything, enjoying the cheers from the crowd.
J.A. Aldridge: And their opponent, weighing in at 145 pounds! She is Charlotte, North Carolina’s own… CAMELLIA D. MAGNA!
When about halfway down the ramp, she takes off running, sliding into the ring under the bottom rope. While on the mat, she pushes up into the bridge position. After holding it for a few seconds, she kicks over to a standing position.
A loud howl blasts throughout the theatre as the lights go out as it stays dark the camera focuses on the entrance way as he appears out of nowhere his head is down a wolf type mask covering his mouth. He slowly raises his head we can see he is wearing ice blue contacts he begins to make his way to the ring as he seems to be in a trance with his entire focus on the ring.
J.A. Aldridge: And their opponent, from Seattle, Washington! Weighing in at 202 pounds! He is “The Strong Style Wolf” JASON RICHARDS!
He walks up the ring steps and then stands on the second rope as he rips the mast off he lets out a howl of his own. He jumps down and crouches in the corner looking straight ahead.
The intro of "What's Up Now" hits the PA and gets the crowd going immediately. As the song gets heavy, Alec Sage storms onto the entrance and immediately takes off his hood and turns his back towards the ring. After letting the fans have a good look at the "Alec Sage Ain't Nothing To Fuck With" sign on the back of his vest, he turns around and shouts "COME ON!" to get the crowd going even more.
J.A. Aldridge: And their opponent, from Cleveland, Ohio! Weighing in at 164 pounds! He is “The Knockout Kid” ALEC SAGE!
He walks to the ring and claps hands with the fans in attendance before jumping on the apron and slingshoting himself into the ring. Once there, Alec immediately climbs to one of the turnbuckles, showing off to the crowd, then takes off his vest and hands it to a ring crew member before warming up before the match.
"Buttons" by the Pussycat Dolls starts to play over the PA, and the lights dim as Noelle steps from behind the curtain, a wide smile on her face as she waves to the fans before doing a few provocative dance moves as the lyrics cue up.
I'm telling you to loosen up my buttons babe
But you keep frontin'
Sayin' what you gon' do to me
But I ain't seen nuttin'J.A. Aldridge: And their opponent, from Orlando, Florida! Weighing in at 125 pounds… NOELLE SMITH!
She does an athletic handspring forward to take her half down the ramp and then rushes the ring, using her hands to push her up onto the apron as she slides under the bottom rope and pops up, giggling and blowing kisses to the fans, winking at the referee and waving to the ring announcers cheerily.
Seth Lawless steps through the curtain to boos from the crowd. After throwing on his sunglasses, he slowly walks down the ramp and avoids any interaction with the fans. Lawless then slides into the ring and waits for the opening bell.
J.A. Aldridge: And their opponent, from Detroit, Michigan! Weighing in at 240 pounds! He is “The Lawless One” SETH LAWLESS!
The first accords of "42 and 6" by Tool start playing around the arena as the lights start flickering and a small amount of smoke floods the floor. After five to ten seconds of the song, Prince Kaour walks out of the curtain and stands right in the middle of the ramp, his eyes closed soaking the atmosphere.
J.A. Aldridge: And their opponent, from Chica-
Kaour gets nailed across the back with a steel chair from Mike Bisignano.
Kris Cruise: What the heck!?
Stephy Auger: The Biz just attacked Prince Kaour from behind with the chair!
The crowd continues to boo as Biz repeatedly nails Kaour across the back with the chair. He then throws down the chair before marching down the aisle.
Kris Cruise: I cannot believe Biz! He just took Kaour out of this match before it even started!
Stephy Auger: You know that had to have been a message to Alec Sage, who has recently become buddies with Kaour.
The bell sounds as Biz calls for Sage to come to the outside. Sage drops, rolls to the outside and charges up the ramp. But Biz tackles him to the floor with a double leg takedown. The crowd boos as he mounts himself on top of Sage and hammers away with hammer fists to the face.
Kris Cruise: Sage seems to have abandoned his gameplan to go after Biz. But Biz saw it coming and tackled him to the ground.
Stephy Auger: This is exactly what Biz wanted.
In the ring, Richards moves Cami into the corner and delivers a series of shoot kicks to the chest. He then takes Cami and whips her into the opposite corner. Richards then runs across the ring. But Cami is able to dip her shoulder, ducking the oncoming attack and dumping Richards over the top rope…
Stephy Auger: Richards is out!
… but Richards lands on his feet on the apron. He then quickly drops down to the apron and rolls himself back in under the bottom rope.
On another side of the ring, Lawless is delivering shoulder thrusts to Fujiko as the crowd boos. He then brings Fujiko out of the corner and whips her into the ropes. When Fujiko comes back, Lawless throws her down with a hip toss. Fujiko gets back up, but Lawless knocks her down with a dropkick. Fujiko gets back to her feet, but Lawless knocks her back down with a jumping calf kick to boos from the crowd. He then picks up Fujiko, runs and tries to hurl her over the top rope. But Fujiko wraps her arms and legs around the top rope. Lawless then tries to rush over over and shove her over the top rope. But Fujiko lets go and elbows him in the face.
Kris Cruise: Great save by Fujiko to wrap herself up in the ropes there.
Across the ring, Noelle takes Wylde and delivers a series of knife-edge chops. She then lifts up one of Wyle’s legs and drapes it across the top rope. She then grabs Wylde’s other leg and tries to dump him over the top rope. But Wylde delivers an eye rake, followed by an elbow to the head. He then slams her head into the top turnbuckle before whipping her into the opposite corner. Wylde runs across the ring and goes for a corner splash, but Noelle moves out of the way, causing Wylde to crash into the corner to cheers from the crowd. As Wylde stumbles back, Noelle grabs him from behind and tries to toss him over the top rope. But Wylde wraps his arms around the top rope.
Kris Cruise: Wylde was nearly eliminated there! But he was able to save himself.
On the outside, Biz lifts up Sage, runs and rams him back-first against the barricade. He then takes Sage and rolls him back into the ring. As Biz climbs up onto the apron, Sage nails him with a shoulder thrust through the ropes. He then takes Biz, runs over towards the corner and slams him face-first into the ring post. As Biz stumbles back, Sage runs back into the corner and goes for a triangle dropkick. But Biz ducks. Once Sage gets back up to his feet, Biz nails him with a shoulder thrust through the ropes. He then grabs Sage and goes to suplex him to the outside. But Sage is able to land on his feet on the apron.
Stephy Auger: Sage was this close to be eliminated! But he was somehow able to land on the apron instead of the floor.
Biz and Sage trade punches on the outside until Biz rakes him across the eyes and follows up with a kick to the midsection. After stepping back on the apron, Biz goes for a running STO. But Sage counters with a fireman’s carry off the apron and to the floor.
Kris Cruise: Biz gets tossed the floor!
Stephy Auger: But he wasn't thrown over the top rope, so he's still in the match.
On the other side of the ring, Noelle steps through the ropes and springboards to the top turnbuckle. She crouches down, waiting for Wylde to get in position. Once Wylde gets up and turns around, she leaps off, going for a cross body. But Wylde connects with a dropkick in mid air, knocking her down to boos from the crowd. Wylde picks up Noelle and whips her into the corner. He then runs into the corner and connects with a drive by kick, sending her crumbling from out of the corner to boos from the crowd.
Kris Cruise: Noelle just got rocked by that running kick in the corner. I'd be surprised if she even knows where she is.
Lawless picks up Fujiko and whips her into the ropes. When Fujiko comes back, Lawless scoops her up from the side and delivers a backbreaker to boos from the crowd. He then picks Fujiko back up, only to deliver a vertical suplex. After dragging Fujiko into position, Lawless climbs the turnbuckles. Once he reaches the top, he goes for The Unstoppable Moonsault. But Fujiko gets her knees up, causing Lawless to crash across them to cheers from the crowd.
Kris Cruise: Lawless is in a world of hurt after landing on Fujiko's knees!
Stephy Auger: Fujiko got her knees up just in time. If she didn't, she might be getting tossed overthe top rope right now.
Richards takes Cami and delivers a series of alternating shoot kicks to the legs, followed by a spinning back kick that doubles her over. Richards then lifts her up for a powerbomb, but Cami nails him with an elbow to the head. After slipping down in front of Richards, Cami knocks him down with a step up enzuigiri to cheers from the crowd.
Kris Cruise: No one's been eliminated in this one. Stephy, who you got?
Stephy Auger: It's so hard to pick, Kris. I think all eight of these grapplers could win the title.
Sage takes Biz and rolls him back into the ring. Once Biz gets up and turns around, Sage knocks him down with the Rolling Stone Lariat to cheers from the crowd. He then picks up Biz and whips him into the ropes. When Biz comes back, Sage knocks him down with the Hellbow. He then runs into the ropes. When Sage comes back, he goes for a standing Shooting Star Press. But Biz gets his knees up. Biz then gets up, grabs Sage, runs and tosses him over the top rope and to the floor.
J.A. Aldridge: Alec Sage has been eliminated!
After Sage gets up on the outside, he turns and sees Biz mocking him. Sage tries to climb up onto the apron, but the two refs on the outside pull him back down.
Kris Cruise: Mike Bisignano gains some measure of revenge on Alec Sage by tossing him over the top and to the floor.
Stephy Auger: You know Biz is absolutely loving this. Kaour is still down near the entrance. And now his rival has been eliminated at his hands.
Cami picks up Richards and goes for an irish whip, but Richards reverses, sending her into the ropes. When Cami comes back, Richards bends over to set up a back body drop. But Cami counters with a knee lift. She then takes Richards and goes for an irish whip. But again, Richards reverses, sending Cami into the ropes. But instead of bouncing back, she hangs onto the ropes. So Richards runs over to attack. But Cami grabs the top rope and drops down, sending Richards over the top rope and to the floor.
J.A. Aldridge: Jason Richards has been eliminated!
Kris Cruise: There goes Richards!
As Cami pulls herself back up using the ropes, Wylde runs over to attack. But Cami grabs the top rope and drops back down, sending Wylde over the top rope…
Stephy Auger: Cami's got herself another elimination!
… but he lands on the apron. When Wylde gets back up, Cami goes to grab him. But he ducks and nails her with a shoulder thrust through the ropes. While Cami is doubled over, Wylde plants her with a slingshot DDT to boos from the crowd. He then picks up Cami, leans her against the ropes and tries to dump her over the top rope. But Cami wraps her arm around the top rope.
Kris Cruise: Wylde nearly met the same fate as Richards. But he got himself back in the ring and now he's the one trying to eliminate Cami.
On the other side of the ring, Fujiko takes Lawless and whips him into the corner. She then runs across the ring and connects with a corner lariat to cheers from the crowd. Fujiko then climbs up onto the middle ropes, grabs Lawless and brings him down with a diving facebuster. She then picks Lawless back up and leans him chest-first against the rope. Fujiko then reaches down, grabs one of his legs and tries to lift him over the top rope. But Lawless nails her in the back of the head.
Across the ring, Wylde is still trying to dump Cami over the top rope. He’s almost got her leveled with the ropes when Noelle connects with a kick to the midsection, causing Wylde to drop Cami. The two women then double team Wylde, nailing him with clubbing shots to the back to cheers from the crowd. They each grab one of Wylde’s arms before sending him into the ropes. When Wylde comes back, Noelle & Cami throw him down with a double back body drop. He gets back up, but Cami knocks him down with a dropkick. Wylde gets back up, but Noelle knocks him down with a dropkick of her own. Once Wylde gets back to his feet, Cami runs over and connects with the Crown of Thorns to cheers from the crowd. She and Noelle then take Wylde and lift him over the top rope, sending him to the floor.
J.A. Aldridge: Jake Wylde has been eliminated!
Kris Cruise: Noelle and Cami using some teamwork there to toss "The Infection" to the outside.
Noelle & Cami turn to face one another before giving each other double high fives. But the good times stomp once Biz runs over to attack. But both women duck and counter with a back body drop, sending Biz over the top rope…
… but Biz someone lands on the apron. He quickly grabs Cami and tries to suplex her to the outside. But on the way up, Cami knees him in the head, forcing him to drop her on the apron. Lawless then runs into the corner and goes for a triangle dropkick. But Biz ducks, causing Cami to get knocked off the apron and to the floor. The crowd boos as the hometown girl is eliminated.
J.A. Aldridge: Camellia D. Magna has been eliminated!
Stephy Auger: Cami's just been eliminated and this Charlotte crowd isn't having any of it!
Noelle tries to go after Biz, but Biz nails her with a forearm strike, sending her stumbling back. Biz then follows up with a springboard side kick that knocks her down to boos from the crowd. But the boos turn to cheers as Prince Kaour can be seen making his way to the ring.
Kris Cruise: Kaour's back up! He's making his way to the ring!
Stephy Auger: And he has his sights set solely on Kaour!
Biz crouches down as he waves Kaour into the ring. Kaour cautiously climbs up onto the apron. Before Biz can go over to attack, Noelle connects with a front dropkick from behind, sending Biz stumbling towards Kaour, who knocks him down with a springboard knee strike.
Stephy Auger: What a knee by Kaour!
On the other side of the ring, Lawless takes Fujiko and slams her face-first into the top turnbuckle. After turning her around, Lawless unleashes a series of knife-edge chops that echo throughout the arena. He then places Fujiko on the top turnbuckle before climbing the ropes. Once he reaches the top, he goes for a superplex. But Fujiko blocks the move. So Lawless tightens his grip before going for another superplex. But again, Fujiko blocks the move. So Lawless lets go of Fujiko and goes to throw a punch. But Fujiko blocks it and connects with a punch of her own. Lawless then shakes off the blow and throws out another punch. But again, Fujiko blocks it and counters with one of her own. She then nails Lawless with three more punches before shoving him off the ropes and to the canvas.
Kris Cruise: Lawless falls hard to the canvas!
Stephy Auger: What's Fujiko looking to do here?
Back on the other side of the ring, Kaour knocks back Biz with a series of forearm strikes to the face. He then runs into the ropes. When Kaour comes back, he clotheslines Biz over the top rope and to the floor.
J.A. Aldridge: Mike Bisignano has been eliminated!
Kris Cruise: And this crowd cheers in unison as Kaour sends Biz to the floor!
Biz gets up and begins slapping the apron out of anger. Kaour then goes over towards the ropes and repeatedly points at Biz while he yells at him. Biz then hops up and grabs Kaour’s arm. The two ref’s on the outside try to pull Biz off of Kaour while Kaour tries to break free. But it’s to no avail.
Kris Cruise: What is Biz doing? He's been eliminated!
Stephy Auger: The ref's need to get him out of here!
On the other side of the ring, Fujiko sizes up Lawless before leaping up for the Endless Fantasy. But Lawless rolls out of the way, causing Fujiko to crash knees-first onto the canvas. Noelle then runs over, picks up Fujiko and dumps her over the top rope and to the floor.
Kris Cruise: Fujiko's out!
While Biz and Kaour continue to struggle, Lawless runs over, grabs Kaour by the waist from behind and dumps him over the top rope and to the floor.
J.A. Aldridge: Prince Kaour has been eliminated!
Kris Cruise: Kaour's been eliminated by Lawless. But he just got a huge assist from Biz.
Stephy Auger: And now look at Biz...
While Biz stomps away on Kaour on the floor, Noelle tries to come up behind Lawless. But Lawless turns around in time to dip his shoulder and dump her over the top rope…
Stephy Auger: Oh no! Noelle!
… but Noelle lands on the apron. Lawless then tries to attack, but Noelle grabs the top rope, jumps up, wraps her legs around Lawless’ neck and delivers a headscissors takeover, sending Lawless over the top rope and to the floor.
J.A. Aldridge: Seth Lawless has been eliminated!
Stephy Auger: Lawless is gone!
Kris Cruise: We've got a new champion!
Noelle stands on the apron and raises her arms in victory. But just then, Fujiko rolls back into the ring, runs over and delivers a dropkick to the back, knocking her off the apron and to the floor. The ref calls for the bell.
Kris Cruise: Wait a minute...
J.A. Aldridge: Here is your winner and the new Mid-Atlantic Legacy Champion…
Stephy Auger: Who is it?
J.A. Aldridge: … FUJIKO MINE!
“Finale” plays as Fujiko collapses onto her back. She then places her hands over her face in disbelief. But she’s not the only one in disbelief as Noelle is wondering what just happened.
Kris Cruise: Fujiko Mine has been declared the winner. But Noelle threw her over the top rope!
Stephy Auger: I know! But I don't think the refs saw it! They were too busy trying to pull Biz off of Kaour.
One of the ref gets in the ring, sits up Fujiko and hands her the Mid-Atlantic Legacy Championship belt. He then raises her arm in the air to cheers from the crowd.
Kris Cruise: Does Fujiko even know what happened?
Stephy Auger: What do you think?
Noelle can be seen talking to the other ref on the outside. She’s trying to explain to him what happened. But the ref tells her that he didn’t see Fujiko get eliminated. Noelle then places her hands on her head, now realizing what has just happened. She then turns and looks up at Fujiko, who climbs up onto the ropes and raises her newly won championship to more cheers and adulation from the crowd. But the cheers turn to boos once Mirage steps through the ropes, cutting off her music.
Stephy Auger: Uh oh...
Mirage then unstraps “his” Mid-Atlantic Legacy Champion belt from around his waist before raising it in the air to jeers and boos from the crowd.
Kris Cruise: Mirage is still walking around with "his" championship. But whether he likes it or not, he's the one that vacated he belt and now Fujiko is the champion.
