FGA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
(c) Jimmy Page vs. Riley Owens
Kris Cruise: Here we are, Stephy! It’s time for arguably the most anticipated match on this show! It’s time for Jimmy Page to defend his FGA World Championship against Riley Owens!
Stephy Auger: Rileys going to have this crowd firmly on his side. But that’s nothing new for Jimmy Page. Every arena he walks into, Page is the most hated man there. No one likes him. No one loves him. He is public enemy #1 from show to show and tonight will be no different. Page is used to having his back against the wall. He’s used to having the crowd solidly against him. He’s also used to beating Riley Owens.
Kris Cruise: That’s right. Jimmy Page does indeed have Riley’s number. It’s true that Riley did end his Pride Championship reign back in April. However, Page has defeated Riley twice in their other two meetings. Tonight, Riley could very well take that World Championship from Page, just like he took the Pride Title from him a couple of months back.
Stephy Auger: Riley is as determined and focused as I’ve ever seen him. He just doesn’t want to do this for himself. He wants to do this for his good friend, Cordy Stevenson. He wants to do this for every fan in the arena and FGA as a whole. Riley’s got a ton of heart and a ton of talent. To see his maturation and growth over the past year has been something to see. Tonight could be the feather in his cap. Tonight could also be the night that Jimmy Page knocks him out.
"De(v)tails" by A Bullet for Pretty Boy begins to play over the speakers. Owens walks out onto the entrance ramp and look at the crowd. He adjusts his wrist tape and then slowly walks down the ramp.
J.A. Aldridge: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the FGA World Championship! Introducing first, the challenger! Now residing out of Miami, Florida! Weighing in at 200 pounds… RILEY OWENS!
Owens walks around the ring once and wipes his boots before sliding into the ring. Owens climbs the nearest turnbuckle and raises a fist. He hops off, adjust his kickpads, and waits for his opponent.
Kris Cruise: You can see the focus in his eyes, Stephy. This man is ready.
Stephy Auger: Riley’s got his eyes on the prize and he’ll be damned if he’s leaving this arena without it.
The eerie cue up of "They Are Lost" by Last Remaining Pinnacle plays for ten seconds...then dies down, along with the lights. Suddenly the sound of drums and a electronic melody plays. The lights flash in red to the melody of the song. The song, "Can You Feel My Heart" by Bring Me The Horizon plays as a silhouette appears from out of the red. In his signature controlled stagger, Page comes out, hands extended, head down. Slowly his raises his head, soaked in the red lights. Fans boo him as he makes his way to the ring. He whips his hair out of his eyes as he snatches away from of the extended hands, almost threatening to hit someone. Page stops from time to time, swearing at some of the fans who chant "FUCK YOU JIMMY!!" and "PAGE SUCKS!!!" getting in their face.
Aldridge: And his opponent, from Flint, Michigan! Weighing in at 230 pounds! He is the reigning… defending… FGA World Champion! He is “The King of the F’N World,” JIMMY PAGE!
As Page finishes his march of ridicule, he stops at the top of the ramp. His eyes dead, his expression stoic as he glares around the arena, the lights still radiating that deadly red. Page goes in front of the ring, slides onto the apron on one knee and quickly gets inside. He goes to his right and climbs the turnbuckle and stands on top of it, swearing at the fans, pointing at himself, talking to them, taunting them, mocking them. He stands there for a moment, then routinely spits his gum at the crowd. Page leaps down, slides down into the corner, and sits on the middle turnbuckle. He rests his left hand on his cheek nonchalantly, waiting for the match to begin.
Kris Cruise: Page wants the love that Riley gets. He wants the admiration that Riley gets. He can’t wrap his head around how Riley is so beloved when in his mind, they’re one in the same.
Stephy Auger: There are similarities between the two. Riley has touched on those this week. But the difference is that Riley has gone about everything the right way and Page hasn’t.
The bell sounds as both men charge towards the center of the ring.
Kris Cruise: These two aren’t wasting any time!
Owens strikes first, knocking Page down with a flying knee strike to cheers from the crowd. As Page gets back up, Owens runs over and throws out a clothesline. But Page ducks. When Owens turns around, Page nails him with a knee strike that sends him in the air and falling down to the canvas.
Kris Cruise: That hard knee by Page nearly knocked the air right out of Riley!
As Owens gets up on all fours, Page runs into the ropes. When he comes back, Owens gets up, ducks the clotheslines and counters with a saito suplex. He makes the cover.

Kris Cruise: Quick nearfall there by Riley. But Page is able to kick out.
Owens immediately mounts himself on top of Page and hammers down with rights and lefts to the face. Page begins to cover up. So Owens reaches over, grabs two handfuls of hair and pulls Page up to his feet. He then begins to deliver several knee strikes to the face. But on the last knee strike, Page catches his knee. He then delivers a double leg pick up, runs and rams Owens back-first into the corner. Page then begins to deliver a series of shoulder thrusts as the crowd boos. But on the last shoulder thrust, Page gets his knee up, driving it right into Page’s chin.
Kris Cruise: That last knee appears to have stunned Page.
Owens positions Page in the corner and nails him with several Muay Thai kicks to the midsection. He then brings Page from out of the corner and goes for an irish whip. But Page holds onto the top rope. So Owens tightens his grip around Page’s wrist and goes for another irish whip. But again, Page holds onto the top rope. So Owens lets go and kicks Page in the midsection. He then takes Page and whips him into the ropes. When Page comes back, Owens bends over to set up a back body drop. But Page counters with The Paralyzing.
Stephy Auger: Neckbreaker right across the knee. That could be it...

He then grabs Page by the arm, steps over and applies a rolling cross armbar. The crowd cheers as Owens pulls back, trying his hardest to break Page’s arm.
Kris Cruise: He’s got the armbar applied!
Stephy Auger: Riley could break his arm at any second!
Page can be heard screaming in pain as Owens tries to break his arm. The ref kneels down and asks im if he wants to give up. But Page won’t quit. He then rolls over into a pinning combination.

Kris Cruise: Page is trying his hardest not to allow Riley to hyperextend that arm.
Stephy Auger: Page needs to find his way out of this and quick!
The ref asks Page if he wants to give up. But again, Page refuses to quit. He then rolls back over into a pinning combination.

Kris Cruise: Riley will not allow Page to escape!
Page tries to keep his hands locked. But the more Owens pulls back, the more he loses his grip. Panicking, Page reaches out with his right leg. But he’s not quite near the bottom rope.
Stephy Auger: Page tries to stretch his foot over towards the ropes. But he’s not quite there!
Owens continues to try and snap Page’s arm in two. The ref asks Page if he wants to give up. Page closes his eyes as he grits his teeth in pain. He then tries to squirm over the best he can and reach out with his right foot. While he doesn’t get it on the bottom rope, he’s able to get the tip of his boot just underneath the bottom rope. And thats enough for the ref to start a five count, causing the crowd to boo.
Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR…
Owens reluctantly lets go.
Stephy Auger: Page is lucky he was able to get that rope break. I’m not sure how much longer he would’ve lasted in that hold.
As Page gets back up to his feet, Owens nails him with a shoot kick to the side of the arm. He then follows up with a front kick to the shoulder. Owens sizes him up before delivering another stinging shoot kick to the arm, followed by a front kick to the shoulder.
Stephy Auger: My goodness, do you hear the thuds from those kicks?
Owens rattles off three shoots kicks to the arm, followed by a front kick to the shoulder that sends Page stumbling back into the corner. As Owens marches over into the corner, Page lunges out and nails him with a cross chop to the throat, resulting in boos from the crowd. While Riley clutches his neck, Page immediately grabs his left arm. He then reaches out, grabs Owens and slams him face-first into the top turnbuckle. After turning Owens around, Page uses his right arm to rattle off a series of stinging knife-edge chops.
Kris Cruise: Look at the welts that are starting to form on Riley’s chest!
Stephy Auger: Page is turning his chest into raw meat!
Page then lunges forward, grabbing onto Riley’s throat and choking him as he leans forward. The crowd boos while Riley tries to pull Page’s hand from around his throat. But it’s to no avail. The ref then gets in and gives Page until the count of five to break the hold.
Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR…
Page gladly lets go… only to sock Owens right a straight right to the jaw.
Kris Cruise: What a sucker punch!
Stephy Auger: And Riley looks rocked!
Owens begins to stumble out of the corner. But Page is far from down. So he takes Owens and hurls him back into the corner. Page then goes back over, sizes up Owens and nails him with a stiff forearm shot, followed by an elbow strike. Page then deliver another forearm shot, followed by an elbow strike. Page then delivers a series of forearm shots and elbow strikes that pick up in speed and intensity. Once Page is done with his assault on Owens, Owens has slumped down in the corner. Page then reaches down, presses his foot across Owens’ throat and chokes him as he pulls down on the top rope with his right arm.
Ref: ONE…. TWO… THREE… FOUR…
Page lets go so he can run into the ropes. When Page comes back, he connects with a running knee facewash. He then drags Owens from out of the corner and makes the cover.

Page lunges forward with another headbutt. But Owens knows it’s coming, so he greets the headbutt with a forearm strike. Owens then nails Page with another forearm… and another… and another. While Page is dazed, Owens runs into the ropes. When he comes back, Page goes for Sole Destruction. But Owens catches his foot.
Stephy Auger: Not so fast, Page!

Kris Cruise: Look at Riley go!
Stephy Auger: He isn’t holding anything back! But I think he’s starting to tire himself out!
Owens appears to slow down… only to pick back up with the speed of the forearm strikes. As Page continues to get clobbered by the forearms, he slowly slumps down in the corner. Once Owens is down, Page shouts at him, daring him to nail him again. So Owens obliges, lunging down and cracking Page across the jaw with a forearm strike. Page then turns to Owens and spits his bloody saliva at Owens.
Stephy Auger: Oh boy...
Owens responds with a series of stomps to the face that leave Page dazed in the corner. As Owens marches across the ring, a closeup of Page reveals him bleeding from the mouth.
Kris Cruise: Those blows did some damage as Page’s lip has been busted open.
After sizing up Page, Owens runs across the ring, leaps up and delivers a corner dropkick. The momentum behind the move sends Page’s head snapping back. But Owens isn’t done. He walks across the ring and holds his index finger in the air. After turning on a dime, Owens charges back across the ring, jumps up and delivers a corner dropkick. This time, Page is sent over the bottom rope and onto the apron.
Kris Cruise: Did you see the way his head snapped back again!?
Stephy Auger: I’d be surprised if Page even knew where he was right now.
Owens steps out onto the apron. He then lifts him up, drops off and plants Page on the apron with a brainbuster. The crowd explodes in cheers as Page’s limp body lays curled up on the apron.
Kris Cruise: My God! Page has just been planted head-first onto the apron with that brainbuster!
Stephy Auger: His body isn’t even moving, Kris! I think he’s done!

Stephy Auger: Oh, I think Riley’s got it really locked in now!
The ref goes over and asks Page if he wants to give up. When he sees the ref within reaching distance, Page grabs the ref by his shirt and yanks him close to him.

While the ref is trying to free himself from Page’s grip, Page nails Owens with a mule kick. The crowd erupts in boos as Owens lets go of the hold.
