Riley Owens vs. Sunshine Scandalous Tony Carmine
As RetcH's "Graceful Jewelry Removal" hits, the lights dim and eventually the crowd will begin to jeer. Pink and purple strobe lights starts to flare. Once the bass drops, Scandalous Tony emerges from the curtains with his arms spread out, accompanied by 3 full-figured women following behind him(never the same group of women). He pops the collar on his furry vest before turning his back the ring and utters something to the women behind him. Suddenly he swings back around and slowly struts down the ramp, repeating the lyrics. He takes his purple pick out and starts picking his hair out.
"n****s pussy I should sprinkle them with glitter, for real my n****."After putting the pick away, he then pulls out a nail filer and starts filing his nails, all the while taking his sweet time to get to the ring as he instructs the females to have the ropes held for him by the time he gets to ringside. With the ladies seated on the middle rope, Tony ignores them and walks up the steps and into the ring on his own. Tony laughs as he stands on the middle rope and looks out to the fans while slowly and seductively taking his furry vest off and throwing it to the group of females as they step off the apron. He backflips into the ring as his music slowly fades.
Cruz: And his opponent from Boca Raton, Florida, weighing in at 154 pounds, "Sunshine" Scandalous Tony Carmine!
Clement: There’s no love lost in this one. Tony can’t stand Riley Owens and Riley doesn’t really care for Tony, either. Both of these men are on hot streaks. Both of these men are two of the more talented grapplers in all of FGA. Yet they are polar opposites about how they go about things.
Grayson: I’m not sure if I agree. On the surface, sure. But Riley is just as cocky as Tony is. He’s just sneaky and hides behind that false modesty. Tonight, Tony is going to expose Riley on his way to the Frontier Lions Cup in Miami.
"De(v)tails" by A Bullet for Pretty Boy begins to play over the speakers. Owens walks out onto the entrance ramp and look at the crowd. He adjusts his wrist tape and then slowly walks down the ramp.
Cruz: And his opponent, now residing out of Miami, Florida! Weighing in at 200 pounds! He is the reigning Pride Champion… RILEY OWENS!
Owens walks around the ring once and wipes his boots before sliding into the ring. Owens climbs the nearest turnbuckle and raises a fist. He hops off, adjust his kickpads, and waits for his opponent.
Clement: There he is, the reigning Pride Champion! Riley Owens is well on his way to becoming the longest reigning Pride Champion in history! But he’s got a date with a man that would love to make HIM history, Kevin Hardaway, at Above & Beyond III!
Grayson: K-Hard is the first ever Pride Champion. And if he gets his way, he’ll be a two-time champion in two weeks time. Riley’s faced some tough competition. Malcolm Drake, Dan Herrera, Sean Sands, Jimmy Page, Dom Harter, just to name a few. The list is long. But he’s never stepped into the ring with a man that’s as dangerous and as calculating as Kevin Hardaway. Those Pride Rules will only go so far in protecting Riley in Miami.
The bell sounds as Tony and Riley lock up. After jockeying for position, Riley moves Tony into the corner. After being pressed up against the turnbuckles, Tony switches positions and presses Riley up against the turnbuckles. But Riley is able to power out, turn and press Tony against the turnbuckles. The ref goes over and gives both men until the count of five to break it up.
Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR…
Both men make a clean break. But Tony is quick to shove Riley back to boos from the crowd. After Tony makes his way out of the corner, both men circle the ring before locking up. After jockeying for position, Tony powers Riley into the corner. The ref again gives both men until the count of five to break things up.
Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR…
Tony then leans into Riley before making a clean break. While Tony’s got his arms in the air, he nails Riley in the jaw with an elbow strike to boos from the crowd. Tony then walks back with a huge smirk on his face. Riley, meanwhile, looks over at Tony while he rubs his chin. After making his way out of the corner, the two men circle the ring.
Clement: You can feel the tension between these two, Evan.
Grayson: I love it!
They then inch towards each other and go for a lock up. But Riley ducks the collar & elbow tie-up, hoists up Tony from behind and throws him down with a waist lock takedown. After turning around on Tony’s back, Riley mounts his backs and repeatedly slaps him upside the back of the head to cheers from the crowd. Riley then gets up off of Tony and walks around with a big smirk on his face.
Grayson: That little punk.
Clement: You know Tony’s not going to like that.
After Tony gets up, the two men circle the ring before going for a lock up. But Tony ducks the collar & elbow tie up, grabs Riley around the waist from behind and runs into the ropes. But Riley underhooks his arms on the top rope and jerks back, sending Tony down to the canvas. After Tony rolls up to his feet, Riley runs over and goes for a discus forearm strike using his right arm. Tony blocks the move by raising both of his forearms. But he’s not able to block the left forearm strike as he gets knocked down to cheers from the crowd. Tony gets back up, but Riley nails him with another forearm strike, sending him stumbling into the ropes. Riley then goes over, grabs Tony, pulls him away from the ropes and places him a cravat. Tony waves his arms as if he’s trying to call Riley off. But it’s to no avail as Riley nails him with a series of knee strikes, follows by a cravat suplex to cheers from the crowd.
Riley goes over to make the cover. But Tony quickly rolls to the outside to boos from the crowd.
Clement: What is this?
Grayson: What do you think it is? He’s rolling to the outside. What, you just want him to lay there and let Riley attack him?
The crowd boos as Tony tries to take a breather. But the boos turn to cheers as Riley rolls to the outside, grabs Tony from behind and rolls him back into the ring.
Clement: Not so fast, Sunshine!
As Riley climbs back up onto the apron and tries to step through the ropes, Tony gets up, darts over and kicks up the middle rope, blatantly hitting Riley between the legs with it to boos from the crowd. Riley cringes in pain as he falls to the canvas. While Riley is curled up in pain, the ref scolds Tony. But Tony tries to play innocent and put his hands in the air.
Clement: Blatant low blow there by Tony Carmine.
Grayson: That’s odd. I never saw Tony kick him between the legs. I never saw Tony drop to his knees and hit him between the legs with his arm. Your definition of a “low blow” must be very different from mine.
Tony then moves the ref out of his way, heads over towards Riley and puts the boots to him. The crowd boos as Tony then kneels over Riley and hammers away with a series of right hands to the face. He then gets up, picks up Riley, heads into the corner and slams his head into the top turnbuckle. After turning Riley around, Tony nails him with a series of shoulder thrusts to the midsection. While Riley is doubled over, Tony delivers a quick rake to the eyes, sending Riley stumbling across the ring into the nearest corner. But Tony isn’t about to let up. He grabs Riley, turns him around and rocks him with a right hand. He then nails Riley with another hard right hand, sending Riley slumping down in the corner. Tony then reaches down with his foot and chokes Riley to boos from the crowd. The ref gives him until the count of five to break the hold.
Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR…
Tony lets go. He reaches down, picks up Riley and whips him into the opposite corner. Tony runs across the ring. But Riley nails him with a boot to the face to cheers from the crowd. As Tony stumbles back, Riley comes from out of the corner and throws out a clothesline. But Tony ducks. When Riley turns around, he turns into a rebound hurricanrana to boos from the crowd. Tony makes the cover.

Clement: Tony’s in firm control of this match right now. We talked earlier about what a win over Chaz Holiday would do for Manny G. But what would a win over Riley Owens do for Tony here tonight?
Grayson: He’d have to be in the conversation of future title contenders. Right at the top of the list, probably. But just think about this. Let’s say Tony wins tonight. Then let’s say he runs the table and wins the Frontier Lions Cup. Not only would he have beaten the current Pride Champion tonight. But he would have also defeated the Mid-Atlantic Legacy Champion, Chaz Holiday, in the quarterfinals.
Clement: That’s quite a tall order. But don’t get ahead of yourself, Evan. Tony’s got to make it past Riley here tonight!
Tony picks up Riley and sets him up for a DDT. But Riley delivers a single leg pickup, runs across the ring and rams him back-first into the corner to cheers from the crowd. After three forearm strikes to the face, Riley takes Tony and whips him into the opposite corner. Riley follows Tony across the ring. But Tony reaches out and puts on the breaks by grabbing the ropes. He then nails Riley with an elbow to the face. Riley reaches up and pulls Tony down into a grounded sleeper hold to cheers from the crowd
Clement: Sleeper! He’s got the Sleeper Hold applied!
Tony frantically waves his arms as Riley locks in the sleeper hold. The ref asks Tony if he wants to give up. But Tony wags his finger at him.
Grayson: Come on, Tony, get to the ropes!
Clement: He can’t!
Riley tries to wrap his legs around Tony’s waist. But Tony is able to block Riley from applying the bodylock. Tony then slowly turns over and gets up on one knee. But Riley still has the hold cinched in good. He then leans over on Tony, applying even more pressure. The ref asks Tony if he wants to give up. Tony wags his finger at him. But he’s much slower to respond that from before.
Clement: I think he’s fading, Evan!
Grayson: Come on, Tony, fight through it!
Riley tries to squeeze as hard as he can. But in a last ditch effort, Tony gets up, grabs Riley by the head and delivers a sitdown jawbreaker to boos from the crowd.
As Tony sits down on the canvas, Riley stumbles into the ropes. Both men try to shake out the cobwebs. But Riley is able to come back to his senses first. He heads back over and goes to pick up Tony. But Tony reaches up and delivers a kneeling jawbreaker, sending Riley stumbling back into the ropes to boos from the crowd. While Riley is dazed, Tony gets up, runs over and connects with a crossbody block, sending both men tumbling over the top rope and to the floor.
Grayson: OH NO!
Clement: Both men just fell over the top and hit the floor hard!
Both men curl up in pain on the outside. The ref then goes to the outside to check on both men.
Clement: This doesn’t look good, Evan.
Grayson: No it doesn’t. Quick, Tony, roll back in before you get counted out!
Tony pulls himself up using the edge of the apron while Riley tries to pull himself up using the guard rail. Tony then turns around, turns Riley towards him, kicks him in the midsection and brings him down with a swinging neckbreaker to boos from the crowd. Riley quickly clutches the back of his neck in pain.
Clement: Tony just hit a swinging neckbreaker on the floor! We’ve heard about how Riley hurt his neck at a recent event. And now, Tony’s taking advantage of that information.
Grayson: It’s not Tony’s fault that Riley put that info out there. He did it to garner sympathy. And if, no, WHEN he loses? He can use it as an excuse.
Tony picks Riley back up. After wrapping his arm around his neck, Tony falls black, planting Riley with a DDT on the outside to boos from the crowd.
Grayson: I bet that hurt.
After getting back up to his feet, Tony rolls back into the ring, then back out. He then reaches down, grabs the mat and peels it back, exposing the concrete floor underneath to boos from the crowd.
Clement: Oh no! Oh come on, Tony!
Tony picks up Riley and sets him up for a piledriver on the exposed concrete to boos from the crowd.
Clement: Don’t do it, Tony! Don’t do it!
Tony lifts up Riley. But Riley kicks his legs widely, causing Tony to put him back down. Riley then counters with a back body drop to cheers from the crowd. But some gasps are heard as Riley drops to his knees.
Clement: Riley counters the piledriver!
Grayson: But he looks hurt!
After Riley gets back up to his feet, he picks up Tony and rolls him back into the ring. After rolling himself back in, he makes the cover.

He then lifts up Riley and places him in a rear chinlock. The ref asks Riley if he wants to give up. But Riley refuses to quit. So Tony gets up, delivers a knee to the spine and reapplies the rear chinlock.
Clement: After all the times that Tony worked over his head and neck throughout this match, you just know that Riley has to be in excruciating pain right now.
Grayson: Which is why he should be smart and tap out. This is a non-title match. He’s got nothing to lose. Tony’s a better grappler than him, anyway. Live to fight another day. The last thing he needs going into that match with Kevin Hardaway is to be banged up.
Tony tugs away at the chin as Riley can be seen cringing in pain. The ref asks him if he wants to give up. But Riley just waves him off. After turning over onto his knee, Riley slowly gets up to his feet. He then delivers four elbows to the midsection, breaking the hold. He then runs into the ropes.
