The arena begins to blare with the tune of "Levels" by Avicii. As soon as the beat begins, Jay James walks out from behind the curtain to applause from the crowd. Jay James smiles at those in attendance before striking a pose, showing off his physique. He then casually walks down the aisle towards the ring. Once he approaches the ring he rolls underneath the bottom rope and pounces up to his feet. From there he looks about the venue, smiling as the crowd continues to cheer for him. He strikes yet another pose, once more showing off his powerful looking physique. After all of this is taken care of Jay James then walks over to his corner and sits on the middle rope, patiently awaiting the beginning of the match.
Ring Attire
Jay James wears white trunks which have a blue stripe down each side of them, along with white wrestling boots and blue knee/elbow pads.
Bio:
The younger brother of Jared James, Jay James knew upon graduating high school in the spring of 2010 that he wanted to follow his brother's path and become a professional wrestler. An accomplished amateur wrestler back in Iowa, Jay James always had a better technical game than his brother Jared and figured he would have an easy time transitioning to professional wrestling. So in late summer of 2010, after only a few months of rigorous training, Jay James drove half way across the country to the state of Connecticut to join his brother Jared in Connecticut Forum Wrestling. From there he saw moderate success, defeating veteran performers like Jackhammer in the ring, and it even seemed at one point as if the young man would claim his first championship gold. Alas, this was not meant to be as CFW folded in October of 2010.
From there Jay James took a bit of a break from active competition, instead opting to continue training as he awaited another opportunity. It was not until February of 2011, when Rocky Mountain PRO and Simcoe County Championship Wrestling came calling, that Jay James would get back into the ring for active competition. He saw modest success, initially, in both promotions but quickly fizzled out and became nothing more than an afterthought in both RMP and SCCW. It was from there that Jay James decided to once again focus on his training, having come to the realization that he had tried jumping into the business far too quickly.
Now, with over a full year of experience, Jay James looks to head back to the east coast and join FRONTIER Grappling Arts in hopes of claiming his first piece of championship gold and prove to all of those in the industry that he is more than just a name... that he too can compete with the best of them.
