Christopher Jenkins vs. Crowe vs. Thaddeus Grey vs. Daniel Christopher vs. Serena Raine
The lights begin to stutter and flicker as the beginning of "Broken Frames" hits the sound system. The lights take on a dark tone and Serena Raine pushes her way through the curtain as the first words kick in. She stands at the top of the ramp, peering around the crowd from behind her mane of multicolored hair. She gives a small nod before beginning to make her way down the ramp, slapping some hands along the way.
Cruz: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, now residing out on Ottowa, Ontario, Canada by way of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Weighing in at 146 pounds... SERENA RAINE!
She reaches the ring and pulls herself on to the apron, where she stops, raising an arm before dipping herself into the ring. She makes her way to a ring post and hoists herself to the top, where she smiles cooly and raises a single arm once more, before dropping back in.
Kevin Clement: Hello FGA fans and welcome to another Frontier Grappling Arts DVD presentation. I am Kevin Clement and joining me as always is my colleague, Evan Grayson. We are coming to you from the Rhode Island Convention Center here in Providence, Rhode Island. Tonight, the road to Above & Beyond II continues with a jam packed card.
Daniel “The Angel” Christopher comes out to a cheering reaction as "Git Up" by D12 starts playing through the arena, and looks to the crowd, while dressed in a jacket with a hood. He then runs into the ring and walks to one of the turnbuckles.
Cruz: And her opponent, from New York, New York. Weighing in at 245 pounds. He is "The Angel" DANIEL CHRISTOPHER!
Daniel Christopher then climbs it and beats his chest twice, before jumping off it. He then takes his jacket off and hangs it to the side of the turnbuckles. Daniel Christopher then turns around and waits for his opponents.
Evan Grayson: We've got two Dynamic Duos matches, plus four Frontier Lions Cup Qualifying Matches. The Murder and the U.K. Dragons have already advanced in the Dynamic Duos tournament. Tonight, they will find out who will be joining them in the semfinals. Tonight, the field of eight will be finalized for the Frontier Lions Cup.
"Pull Me Under" by Dream Theater begins to play as the fans look toward the curtain. After about ten seconds, Christopher Jenkins comes out from behind the curtain to a massive negative reaction from the crowd.
Cruz: And their opponent, now residing out of Des Moines, Iowa by way of Phoenix, Arizona. Weighing in at 220 pounds. He is "The Point Blanl Bastard" CHRISTOPHER JENKINS!
He walks down to the ring, unfazed by the reaction. When he makes it to ringside, he hops up on the apron. He then climbs on the turnbuckle, raising his left fist in the air triumphantly. After a few seconds, he lowers his fist and drops into the ring, leaning against the corner and waiting for the match to start.
Clement: And let's not forget that we have a big match coming up later. A.J. Fairchild goes one on one with Bob Pooler. The winner of that match will face Chris Q at Above & Beyond II for the FGA Championship. For Fairchild, he has a chance to get "his" title back. And for Pooler, it's his chance to get The Murder's "property" back.
The lights dim to near pitch-black levels. After a brief moment of silence, Innerpartysystem's "Don't Stop" blares over the announce system. All eyes are on the entrance area, the only light from a single spotlight above. A very arrogant and very assured Thaddeus Grey makes his way out, much to the chagrin of the fans in attendance. The combat zone is soon affected with a pulsating white light. Walking to the ring to a chorus of boos, Thaddeus Grey is oozing nothing but confidence, the smirk on his face serving as the perfect example of such a statement. Multiple fans may soon be experiencing seizures, but Grey could certainly care less. As he reaches the ring, the fans really let him have it, the boos turning to jeers and insults, but Grey pays them no attention.
Cruz: And their opponent, from San Diego, California. Weighing in at 220 pounds..... THADDEUS GREY!
Methodically, he walks up the stairs, staring into the eyes of his opponent. As he's halfway across the apron, he wipes his feet before stepping into the ring. After a brief pause, he stands in the center, basking in the negative reaction the capacity crowd is giving him. A slight smile forms in the corner of his mouth, as the lights return to normal. Grey turns to his corner and quickly does a few stretches, awaiting the referee to call for the bell.
Grayson: Also we've got a huge main event. It's champion vs. champion as Chris Q, the FGA Champion faces off against the Pride Champion, J.T. Cash. What a contest that one is going to be!
As the house lights dim and the opening chords of “Genesis” rumbles out from the speakers; Crowe emerges, silhouetted by light coming out from behind the curtains. Crowe stands at the entrance way momentarily, head down, arms outstretched with clenched fists until the intro comes to an end the song kicks into life.
Cruz: And their opponent, now residing out of Honesdale, Pennsylvania by way of London, England. Weighing in at 249 pounds.... CROWE!
Only then do the house lights brighten, spurring Crowe into life as he lifts his head, drops his arms and poises himself for the walk to the ring, not reacting to the booing from nearby crowd members. Once at ringside, Crowe rolls into the ring under the bottom rope where he then backs himself into a corner and drops down to a seated position, resting his head on the middle turnbuckle to await his opponent.
The bell sounds as all five grapplers begin to slowly circle the ring. They keep their heads on a swivel, trying their hardest not to take their eyes from off of one another. Suddenly, Jenkins, Grey, Christopher and Raine all dart over and attack Crowe to cheers from the crowd.
Clement: And we go as this match is off and running! Look at all four of them pounce all over Crowe!
Grayson: This isn't fair! They're not even giving him any breathing room. The referee should pull them off of Crowe this instant!
Clement: The referee will do no such thing. This is every grappler for themselves. There are no friends or teammates in this one. It's first fall to a finish. And you can bet that all five of these FGA newcomers are chomping at the bit to make a statement.
Crowe tries to cover up. But it's of no use. The four grapplers nail him with clubbing shots to the head, neck and back. After Crowe is knocked down in the corner, the four grapplers kick him underneath the bottom rope and to the outside. Once Crowe is out of the equation, it's a free for all as the four grapplers turn on each other.
Clement: And now these four newcomers are battling amongst themselves. They've taken out the biggest target in this match. Now, it's game on.
Grayson: If I were Crowe, I'd stay on the outside and let these four beat the hell out of each other.
Raine takes Grey and unleashes a series of knife-edge chops in the corner. Meanwhile, Christopher is delivering a series of shoulder thrusts to Jenkins in the opposite corner. After looking back at each other, Christopher and Raine give each other a knowing nod. They take their opponent and try to whip them towards the center of the ring. But Jenkins and Grey reverse, sending Christopher and Raine colliding in the center of the ring. The crowd boos.
Grayson: Womp womp! So much for that one.
As Raine stumbles back, Grey grabs her and tosses her over the top rope and to the floor. Meanwhile, Jenkins grabs Christopher from behind and delivers a german suplex. The crowd boos as he makes the cover.

Grey again breaks up the pin.
Clement: And Grey again breaks up a pin. It's bad enough when you're fighting one opponent. But in this match, you have four other people to deal with. It definitely makes pin attempts that much harder.
Grey picks up Crowe and begins to deliver a series of knife-edge chops. But the chops have little effect on Crowe, who grabs Grey by the neck and tosses him into the corner. Crowe charges into the corner, but Grey nails him with an elbow to the face, sending him stumbling back. As Grey runs out of the corner and goes for a clothesline, Crowe ducks, counters with a double leg pick-up and rams him back-first into the corner. Crowe proceeds to unleash a series of shoulder thrusts to the midsection, nearly driving all the air out of Grey.
On the other side of the ring, Christopher takes Raine and rolls her back into the ring. After rolling himself back in, he picks her up and whips her into the ropes. When Raine comes back, Christopher knocks her down with a dropkick to cheers from the crowd. He makes the cover.

Jenkins drags Christopher off of Raine.
Clement: And there is Jenkins with the timely save. All five of these grapplers have their own style and skill sets. Who do you think has the edge?
Grayson: It's too early to tell who has the edge of or not. But I know that Serena Raine is looking to get the taste of defeat out of her mouth. She lost the Frontier Lions Cup Qualifying Match to Johnny Karma two weeks ago in Hartford. Another loss here tonight could put her in a hole that she can't get out of.
Jenkins picks up Christopher and nails him with a series of rights and lefts to the face. He then grabs Christopher and goes for an irish whip. But Christopher reverses, sending Jenkins into the ropes. When Jenkins comes back, Christopher bends over to set up a back body drop. But Jenkins stops himself and kicks Christopher square in the face. As Christopher stands upright in a dazed state, Jenkins quickly grabs him and brings him down with a reverse STO. The crowd boos as he turns Christopher over and makes the cover.

On the other side of the ring, Crowe delivers a series of knee strikes to the midsection, followed by a series of elbow strikes to the head. He brings Grey from out of the corner and whips him into the ropes. When Grey comes back, Crowe throws him down with a big back body drop. As Grey gets back up, Crowe runs over and clotheslines him over the top rope and to the floor.
Clement: And there goes Grey with a hard fall to the outside. Grey has been a thorn in Crowe's side throughout this match so far. Maybe with him out of the ring, Crowe can secure victory.
On the adjacent side of the ring, Jenkins takes Christopher and whips him hard into the corner. As Christopher stumbles out, Jenkins goes to lift him up for a vertical suplex. But Christopher slips down from behind and shoves Jenkins into the ropes. When Jenkins comes back, Christopher takes him down with a running hurricanrana to cheers from the crowd. Jenkins gets back up, but Christopher takes him down with another running hurricanrana to cheers from the crowd. As Christopher gets up, Raine goes over and goes for a clothesline, but Christopher ducks. When Raine turns around, he kicks her in the midsection and delivers a snap suplex. Christopher rolls over, pulls her back up and delivers a second snap suplex. He rolls over, pulls Raine back up and goes for a third snap suplex. But Raine blocks it. So Christopher tightens his grip and goes for another snap suplex. But again, Raine blocks it. She quickly counters with the Violent Serenade to cheers from the crowd. She makes the cover.

Crowe drags Raine off of Christopher to boos from the crowd.
Clement: Raine may have very well had the much won.
Grayson: This it's a good thing that Crowe had the presence of mind to make the save.
After picking up Raine, Crowe nails her with a knee strike to the midsection, doubling her over. He then grabs her from behind and applies a full nelson. The crowd boos Raine can be seen cringing in pain. The ref asks her if she wants to give. But Raine refuses to quit. So Crowe presses down harder across the back of her neck. The pain causes her to drop down to one knee. Crowe leans over and continues to apply pressure, now with his full weight pressing down on Raine's neck. The ref asks her if she wants to give up. But again, Raine refuses to quit. Her arms begin to shake as she clinches her teeth. The crowd begins to cheer as Crowe shakes his head in disbelief. The cheers get louder as Raine fights off the pain and slowly rises back to her feet.
Clement: She's making the comeback!
Grayson: I can't believe this. How!?
But Crowe stops her comeback by hoisting her up and throwing her down with a full nelson slam. The crowd boos as he makes the cover.

When Crowe comes back, Grey bends over to set up a back body drop. But Crowe stops, grabs Grey and flings him through the ropes and to the floor.

Grey drags Jenkins out of the ring and then rams him back-first into the barricade.
Grayson: He's got a nack for breaking up pinfalls, doesn't he?
Clement: Apparently.
While Jenkins slumps down against the barricade on the outside, Grey rolls back into the ring. He observes the bodies laying in front of him and quickly goes to work. He goes over towards Crowe and stomps away at his arms and legs. Grey then makes his way over towards Christopher and stomps away at his arms and legs. He then makes a beeline over to Raine and stomps on her arms and legs. The crowd boos as Grey scans the crowd with a snarl.
Grayson: Grey is standing tall amonsgt the pile of bodies around him. But what is he waiting for? Make the cover!
Grey picks up Raine, lifts her up and sits her down across the top turnbuckle. After climbing up to the second turnbuckle, Grey goes for a superplex. But Raine blocks the move. So Grey goes for another superplex but again, Raine blocks the move. After four punches to the ribs, Raine breaks free and then shoves Grey off the turnbuckles and to the canvas. The crowd cheers. As Grey turns over and gets back up, Raine stands up on the top turnbuckle, leaps off and brings him down with a flying hurricanrana. The crowd cheers. Raine then gets up, pick up Grey and plants him with a snap DDT to cheers from the crowd. She quickly picks up the dazed Grey, places him in a guillotine and applies the body lock to cheers from the crowd. But the move is broken as Christopher delivers a jumping stomp to the face.

The ref raises Grey's arm to boos from the crowd.
Clement: Thaddeus Grey picks up the win. But it was Crowe who did all the heavy lifting.
Grayson: Since when do we hand out wins for effort? Grey was always in the mix. He was there making timely saves when he needed to. And when he saw his opponent, he struck with authority.
As Daniel Christopher gets up in the ring and turns around, he turns right into a spear from Evolution J. The crowd boos as J gets up and stares down at Christopher writhing in pain.
Clement: Evo... Evolution J!? What did he do that for?
Grayson: Wait, aren't these two like brothers or something.
Evolution J then picks up Christopher, only to deliver the Spinning Death to boos from the crowd. J gets up and admires his work before slipping through the ropes, hopping over the barricade and taking off through the crowd.
