Ring Entrance:
The lights quickly cut to black, and there is nothing but the small flicker of flame from lighters in the audience. A familiar yet different scream is heard as Trent Reznor and Karen O's cover of "Immigrant Song" starts to play.
“We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs flow.”
As “flow” cuts out, the lights over the entrance way begin to flicker on and off repeatedly, manipulating the world into a series of still shots. We see a figure image from behind the curtain, wearing a black zip-up hoodie with the hood pulled up along with his ring attire. He keeps the hoodie low over his face as he surveys the crowd tonight before walking down the ramp and towards the steel steps. He then quickly jogs up the steps and onto the second turnbuckle, where he poses for the fans in a familiar crucifix position. He then jumps over the turnbuckles and lands firmly in the corner. He walks to the middle of the ring, pauses for a moment, and then lifts the hood to reveal Scott Reave with a shit-eating grin. He then shuffles on over to his corner, where he pulls off the hoodie and leans into the turnbuckle, the lights come up and the music fades as he leans there, awaiting the ring of a bell.
Ring Attire: Black trunks, kickpads, kneepads, and white taped fists. He also wears a large elbow pad on his left arm to hide the track marks.
Bio: Scott Marlon Reave was born on March 19th, 1978 to Anna S. Thompson. He grew up in the Bowery, which had hardened him considerably. Mostly a quiet boy with an inquisitive look, Scott excelled academically and adequately so in physical activities. His passion for professional wrestling wouldn't blossom until his high school years, when he tried out for the high school amateur wrestling team and won his spot. To date he is the only Junior to join the wrestling team at Timothy Eaton High School. It only took him one school year to mature into a fine grappler, becoming captain of the team and leading his school to three municipal championships, and two state championships. Scott Marlon Reave graduated on June 6th, 1996 with honors.
During college, Scott's passion for wrestling was only strengthened, as he won the state championship twice, and even went to the NCAA finals in his senior year, beating William Rogers, Jr to win the NCAA Wrestling Championship. Scott graduated with his B.A. in Law, but did not pursue what seemed to be a promising career as a prosecuting attorney. Instead, Scott chose to train for professional wrestling, following his first passion and the belief that he could become the very best. He debuted in June of 2001.
After five years on the independent circuit, Scott Reave arrived in ROPE Pro-Wrestling with a fire and passion rarely seen in today's pro-wrestlers. He quickly toppled the competition either by means of pure athletic superiority, or by using his brain and taking advantage of the situation presented to him. Scott is rather amoral and looks out for number one, and also has no qualms of breaking the rules in order to get what he wants. After racking up wins, Scott became enamored when he realized that all of his accomplishments were not amounting to much of anything. Furious with ROPE Management for continually denying his bid for a spot higher on the card, Scott Reave recently took matters into his own hands on 9/18/06 when he announced that he was going on strike. On 9/26/06, Scott unveiled that he had kidnapped Murphy Law, and that he would be holding the owner of ROPE hostage until his demands had been met.
In a cerebral piece of brilliance, Scott Reave had orchestrated the meeting and seduction of one Emily Wilson. While he had professed love to her over a period of time, it had only taken two dates for the two to become a couple. As a testament to his skillful manipulation, no one was ever aware of his true intentions for hooking up with Emily Wilson. Randy however, had seen through the facade because "evil knows evil". Although Scott proclaimed his innocence, he allowed himself to be backed into a corner by Randy Wilson, who was in essence playing his part beautifully. The whole plot was to make Randy uneasy enough with the thought of Scott and his sister that he would challenge Scott to a match, a "winner keeps Emily" sort of match. Scott, manipulating Randy and Emily into division had laid the ground work for Rage in the Rising Sun. He would soon have his vengeance for the unjust loss he suffered back at Into the Deep.
At Rage in the Rising Sun 2006, Scott Reave was victorious in one of the most brutal matches in ROPE history. Scott Reave defeated Randy Wilson in the center of the ring. With his goal complete and another road block removed, Scott was now free to rid himself of Emily Wilson, which he did mere moments after he had won the match. Scott now has his eyes set on the North American Championship and the money that goes along with it. Now starting pull himself out of the slums. Scott's aspirations, willingness to do whatever it takes to succeed, and mastery of the art of manipulation have paved a railway of success to the North American Title hunt. For many, the question is not if this master of puppets will win the North American Championship, but when.
That question would be answered on 2/5, Rope's self-proclaimed Superbowl. On the anniversary of ROPE's birth, Scott Reave headed into the main event of A New Dawn to face the current North American Champion Faith Slater. The match was epic in every way fathomable, with Scott Reave and Faith Slater trading holds, brutal assaults, and even respect. The match went the distance and seemed to end with Scott Reave forcing Faith Slater to tap out at the sixty minute mark. However, the time keeper alerted the referee as he handed the North American Championship to Scott Reave that the time limit had already expired. The referee was forced to reverse the decision and declare it a no contest.
Scott Reave looked up at the ref with disbelieving, blood stained eyes. He had sweat, bled, and poured his soul into the match. His blood quickly boiled with the fires of hell itself as he absolutely refused to relinquish the title he just spent a hellacious hour fighting for. Taking out the referee with Brain Damage and nearly breaking his arm, the security force hit the ring, and Scott was quick to act; using "his" North American Title to wipe out all existence of opposition. Scott was soon over come by the security force however, and Scott was forced to endure the sight of Faith Slater holding her North American Championship. Moments later, Alex Riley made his way down to the ring, declaring that he would not allow ROPE's legacy of fairness be tarnished by a "no contest". He then decided to allow the match five more minutes to continue, where Faith and Scott took quite the advantage of. In the end, Scott had managed to wrap Faith into the Voodoo Lock for the final time. She tried desperately to reach the ropes, but Alex Riley pulled them away from her. With no where left to go and no gas left in her tank, she did the only thing she could to allow her to live on to fight another day.
She tapped out.
Scott was almost given the North American Title, but Alex Riley prevented this, and with a grin almost worthy of Scott's, he told the officials to present him with the newly christened World Heavyweight Championship. Scott knelt there in the center of the ring, holding the title tight to his chest as the words echoed throughout the arena. "Your winner, and NEW World Heavyweight Champion... SCOTT REAVE."
The New World, the glory that everyone saw with a twinkle in the eye of Scott Reave was not meant to last. Soon after his meteoric rise to the top of the Indy Circuit, Scott Reave imploded, almost literally. Falling prey to drug busts and sex scandals, Scott Reave soon disappeared from ROPE and vanished into obscurity. Where he went, what he did, has been a mystery, until he showed up in FGA.
