Roberts: We are just a couple of weeks away from 2012: A New Odyssey. And FRONTIER Grappling Arts will crown its first-ever Frontier Heavyweight Champion. There will be an 8-man tournament held on that night to crown the first ever champion. All the details and participants haven't been fully released. But what we can reveal thus far is that Chandler Scott, Blaine Harrison, Jared James and last but not least, Scott Reave will make up one half of that tournament. Who their opponents will be and how the brackets will be determined are still being worked out.
Now, onto our main event. Scott Reave and Blaine Harrison have had words for each other all week. Both of these men are coming into this match with wins. It is truly anyone's match. Both of these men are two of the more experienced wrestlers here, but they're also favorites to win the Chase for the Crown Tournament. This should be a good one. Let's send it down to ringside to kick off this evening's main event......
Main Event
Scott Reave vs. Blaine Harrison
"Let's See Action" by The Who starts playing throughout the arena until Roger Daltrey's vocal booms forth as Blaine Harrison appears at the top of the aisle with Jenny by his side. Blaine poses with his right fist raised to the skies as Jenny stands to his left, lifting her right arm in the same manner. Three seconds later and they're making their way down the aisle, slapping hands with the adoring fans on their respective sides before Blaine slides in under the bottom rope; Jenny takes her place outside the ring as they wait for the match to begin.
Roberts: And here comes Blaine Harrison, the underdog from Santa Barbara, California by way of Akron, Ohio. This man not only has all the tools to get to the top of Frontier, but he definitely has the tools to shut up the ever arrogant Scott Reave. But Blaine has to be careful out there tonight. Scott Reave has some very, very bad intentions in mind. And if Blaine leaves himself open, Scott Reave, being the ultimate opportunist that he is, will surely take advantage....
The lights quickly cut to black, and there is nothing but the small flicker of flame from lighters in the audience. A startling drum beat is heard throughout the PA system, followed by a voice proclaiming
“We put this festival on you bastards
With a lotta love
We worked for one year for you pigs
And you wanna break our walls down
And you wanna destroy us
Well you go to hell!”
As “Hell” cuts out, it’s replaced by the familiar twang of rhythm guitar from “Fuckin’ in the Bushes” by Oasis. The lights over the entrance way begin to flicker on and off repeatedly, manipulating the world into a series of still shots. We see a figure image from behind the curtain, wearing a black zip-up hoodie with the hood pulled up along with his ring attire. He keeps the hoodie low over his face as he surveys the crowd tonight before walking down the ramp and towards the steel steps. He then quickly jogs up the steps and onto the second turnbuckle, where he poses for the fans in a familiar crucifix position. He then jumps over the turnbuckles and lands firmly in the corner. He walks to the middle of the ring, pauses for a moment, and then lifts the hood to reveal Scott Reave with a shit-eating grin. He then shuffles on over to his corner, where he pulls off the hoodie and leans into the turnbuckle, the lights come up and the music fades as he leans there, awaiting the ring of a bell.
Roberts: Scott Reave has made it well known his intentions for tonight's match. He doesn't just want to bet Blaine. He doesn't just want to prove that he's the better wrestler. He plans on breaking Blaine's arm. But as Scott puts it, he's not going to break it for himself. He's goes to break Blaine arm for him, giving him a nice, long vacation. Talk about being full of yourself.
