We slowly open up outside in Newmarket, New Hampshire, where a decent sized home can be made out amongst the darkness. This is due, in part, to the loud blaring music and bright lights that are flashing through all of the windows in this New England home. Young college age students can be seen pouring both in and out of the home, as they go about celebrating the New Year the only way they know how. We watch as the party continues to roar until, after a few minutes, a sole police car can be seen driving up to the house. It is clear that a neighbor has called this collegiate in, which means for some poor folks this could be a rough way to start 2012. As the police car parks alongside the street, various individuals can be seen fleeing the scene through the back as they try to avoid some sort of charge. Two officers exit the vehicle, slowly stroll up to the house, and knock on the door with one stern motion. From there the music dies down, and more students can be seen trying to make their escape before we finally see the host open the door. As the officers stroll inside the home, the door shuts behind them. From there the camera slowly begins to pan outward, towards the police cruiser. Standing alongside the cruiser is none other than FRONTIER Grappling Art’s own, Jared James. James is dressed to the nines, wearing a black suit jacket, black slacks, and a red dress shirt underneath the jacket. His usually disheveled dirty blonde hair is slicked back, giving the usually goofy looking Jared James a much more professional look and feel to his appearance. He smiles at the FGA community, crossing his arms before slowly tilting his head back over to the house. A variety of underage drinkers can now be seen against the lawn, as the officers have started these individuals 2012 off with a night in jail. We shift back over to Jared James, who simply shakes his head in disappointment.
Jared James
“Some people never do learn, do they folks? I mean you would think that for a young college student, who is constantly preached about the dangers of underage drinking and the harm it can have on your future, we would not be seeing the sight we are currently seeing before us, am I right. Unfortunately, however, some people just do not know how to listen… they just do not realize where exactly their actions can ultimately lead them. It is a shame to, as many great people succumb to these inner demons which eventually lead them to being a burden on modern society… rather than be the catalyst for change that they could have potentially been.”
James looks back over at the scene on the lawn, which know depicts the three young people standing up as the officers lead them over to the cruisers. The three of them are placed inside the cruiser, with the officers following suit. James moves away from the vehicle as it zooms off, which causes him to take a nice little stroll through the quiet New Hampshire town of Newmarket.
“It really forces you to wonder just what some people are doing with those noggins of there. Plus, I have not even mentioned what a terrible way to start of the year 2012?! Being a victim of one’s own foolishness… I could not even imagine a worse way to start off the New Year.
Fortunately for yours truly, I have taken some positive steps in what is still a young year in order to make 2012 the best of my entire career. You see ladies and gentlemen, this upcoming May will mark my fifth year in the professional wrestling business. It will be a time for me to reminisce about some of the great things I have done over the course of the past five years, as well as contemplate on some of the blunders I have made as well. Yet there is one thing, and only one thing, which I wish to claim before that special occasion arrives this spring… and that is my first major professional wrestling championship, in this instance the FGA Heavyweight Championship. So far, near the end of 2011, I had been making great strides towards insuring that the FGA Heavyweight Championship belt was placed firmly around my waist, and this upcoming Wednesday night I will be looking to build upon the success I had back in the year that was.”
A sly smirk begins to permeate over the face of Jared James as he continues his early morning stroll through the streets of Newmarket.
“Yet much like those kids we saw back at that house, I know there are a few people on the FRONTIER roster that will more than likely go back to the habits that forced them into a rut back in 2011. Those individuals, much like those kids, will soon realize just how pick of an opportunity they wasted with the arrival of 2012… a new start for all, including myself.
One man on the FGA roster, in particular, is an individual who I could easily see squandering his chance at a fresh start this upcoming Wednesday night on Combat. This is a man who came into FRONTIER talking big, calling me out and proclaiming that he would ultimately show the entire FGA community that it was he, not me, who would end up being the standard bearer for this company. This is also the same man, however, who lost to me at the inaugural episode of Combat… then went on to lose against Scott Reave the following week.”
Shaking his head slowly, James pauses as he reflects on the blunders of his opponent.
“Oh James Weck, look at the irony in all of this. You came into FRONTIER announcing yourself as the top dog, and even went as far as to challenge me to show all on the roster that this was in fact the case. Now? Well now you sit at the very bottom of the roster, and need this new year in order to slowly crawl your way back up the ranks. The only problem with all of this, James, is that I simply do not see you ending my little streak. You see James, I asked for this rematch for one reason and one reason only… to cement myself as the man to beat here in FRONTIER, to show the fans and the men and women in the FRONTIER offices that I have what it takes to carry this company into a promising 2012. I wanted to show to all of them that I, unlike you, can keep my word… something I have often failed to do in the past.
So when you blew me off at the initial episode of Combat, I knew I had the perfect opponent to show my worth against. After all Weck, despite some of your inconsistencies and minor flaws, you are certainly one of the most difficult opponents I have faced over the course of my four and a half year career. You can do things within that ring that I have never seen men, even great ones from my days back in CFW, do. So I truly do understand just how great of a challenge it is to achieve victory over a man such as yourself… and I also realize how much of a sham your last place ranking on the FGA Power Rankings truly are. I truly expect you to turn your FRONTIER career around really soon Weck, because that is just the type of man competitor you are… you look to do whatever is within your power to succeed.”
Yet another sly little smile creeps across the face of Jared James.
“With all of those kind things said, however, this tremendous turnaround of yours will not be taking place this upcoming Wednesday night in the Monroe Township Community Center. Oh no Weck, I instead intend on having you suffer one more loss here in FRONTIER, yet again at the hands of yours truly. I realize it will be a hard fought loss, a match that could go to either opponent, but at the same time this momentum that I currently possess needs to be built on. The moment to crown the first ever FGA Heavyweight Champion is drawing closer and closer with every minute James, therefore I need to be at my peak performance against all comers if I want to succeed in my goal of becoming the best of the best here in FGA. I need to continue to work harder than every single member of this roster… and I need to be able to be as resilient as any member of this roster has ever been. I know I have the capability to do all of this and more James, I have seen just how far I can go when I am at the top of my powers in a variety of matches over the course of my career.
So if you think, even for just a brief moment, you stand a chance of redeeming yourself Weck… well guess again. Because I am Jared freakin’ James, and I am looking to start 2012 off on the right foot. So Wednesday night in Monroe Township, New Jersey James, you will be the first man to endure the wrath of FGA’s ‘Mr. Nice Guy’ here in the year 2012. Whether you agree with me or not is beside the point… because at the end of the day, you will be seeing yours truly outlast you much like I did at the first episode of Combat. And that is a fact.”
With that said the screen fades off into black.
