I'm just going to go ahead and create this one thread and if any of you ever have any feedback or thoughts on any of the RPs I write here in FGA as Ryu Kanata, or even just on the direction of the character himself, feel free to drop it in here.
The RP for Fear Itself was my first with this character, and was really more about getting the right 'atmosphere' around the character than anything else. I know that a naked-shoot style RP probably isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it's likely the style I'm going to lean heavily on for Kanata as a way of illustrating his rather direct, black-and-blood-red view of pro wrestling.
Anyway, I hope you dug it, feel free to fire away with any comments.

I echo what Ryan said. I actually prefer the straight away approach more often than not. But depending on the situation, I may throw some backstory or character stuff in there.

As an old school guy myself, the straight away style still works. Good job.

Very nice. The straight shoot style. I think you can be successful with it. You certainly write with a style that is easy to engage. The piece had a nice flow and didn't last too long and you covered the history as well as your opponent. Even though Kidd has a victory over Ryu, you do a great job maintaining the "monster" role in this little feud.
Can't wait to see Kanata unleashed in this match...

Loved this roleplay for what it was, a straight shoot, but there was also character development in this. We find that Ryu is not just a monster, but a tactful monster. Wins and losses aren't measured necessarily by in the ring victories for Kanata. He's all about the personal victories. He's gotten management to put him in a match that he's clearly been dying to get, and that's not a match with Kidd. He's been waiting for his chance at a match that allows him to be who he is and that's all that matters for him. Regardless of if he wins or not, it's clear that inflicting harm towards people is his main agenda and we may find that Kidd has gotten a little ahead of himself when he agreed to this matchup. We also find that he may be a bit of a masochist as he's willing to be the reason that Kidd turns to the dark side. Really good read in my opinion. Gave me a deeper look inside the thought process of Ryu Kanata without saying too much.

Thanks Gents.
Regrettably, I'm on my way to work and likely won't be home in time to get a second posted. Looking forward to seeing how this match plays out.
