Emery Layton vs. HENNY
Lights down.
As the opening drums of the Kate Bush classic "Running Up That Hill" hit the PA system, excitement fills the air. The song kicks in and standing in front of a single beam of light is the silhouette of Emery Layton. The rest of the lights spring to life with a pink-and-blue tinge and we see Em wearing her black military jacket and beanie over her gear, clearly impressed with the amount of people that have turned out. Holding her arms out, Em struts down the ramp and swaying her head to the beat of the music, her eyes closed and lost in the moment.
J.A. Aldridge: Making her way to the ring - from Anywhere and Everywhere, weighing 135 pounds, "The She-King" Emery Layton!
Reaching the bottom of the ramp, Em skates up the steel steps and into the ring, wiping her feet on the apron. Once she's in there, she runs to the rope right behind her, bouncing off and dropping to her knees with a skid forward, as a single spotlight falls on her. She lets her upper body fall backwards onto the mat as her knees stay in place. After a few moments of just simply soaking in the moment, Emery rises to her feet, removing her beanie and jacket as she backs up into the corner, stretching off and preparing for the battle to come.
Kris Cruise: As Emery Layton looks to wrap things up here, she wanted to make one last stop here in FGA. She had a classic with then-World Champion Lowri’s Moss at last year’s Royal Battle at Royal Albert Hall. This year, she wanted one more and it was HENNY who answered the call.
Stephy Auger: I personally couldn’t have cared less who won between Emery and Lowri so long as they beat the hell out of each other. But tonight, I’m all in on HENNY.
The beginning of AFI's cover of "Just Like Heaven" blasts throughout the arena as HENNY makes his way through the curtain, reaching his mark and posing in time with the music. After holding the final pose for a few moments, HENNY takes a confident glance across the crowd after performing a slow 180, breaking into an assured saunter.
J.A. Aldridge: Her opponent, hailing from Malmö, Sweden! Weighing in at 225 pounds... HENNY!
HENNY proceeds down the ramp, jawing with most of the fans leaning over the guardrail, and even threatening a member of the audience with a sudden movement and a cocked fist, causing them to flinch. HENNY laughs loudly at the fan before making his way to ringside, now waving a dismissive hand at the crowd before climbing up the steel steps.
Kris Cruise: Things haven’t been the greatest for HENNY since losing the war to Owen Gonsalves earlier this year. But I must give credit where it’s due. HENNY’s on a bit of a resurgence of late.
Stephy Auger: You damn right he is! HENNY Heartache has been picking up win after win and that streak will continue tonight when he gets the the W on pay per view over Emery Layton. There are some people that think that HENNY is the underdog in this match. When has he ever been an underdog in his life? This man is a well-traveled veteran. This man has a list of accomplishments a mile long. His list of wives is nearly as along as the list of titles that he’s won! He’s done it all and there are people that continue to sleep on him? HENNY is going to remind you all tonight that he is still truly one of the elite in all of wrestling. Just you watch.
From the apron the Swede scales the turnbuckle, his left foot planted on the second rope whilst his right is on the turnbuckle. He then begins to casually flick his hair around, drawing attention to his gorgeous golden locks, inciting a generally negative reaction from the crowd. HENNY basks in the boos for a few moments before entering the ring.
After hopping into the ring HENNY jogs across to the diagonally opposite turnbuckle before blowing a mocking kiss into the crowd as high pitched jeers rainout from a large contingent of the FGA faithful. As the music slowly fades, HENNY hops off the turnbuckle backwards into the ring and struts to his corner, making himself comfortable on the turnbuckle as he waits for the match to begin.
The bell sounds as Layton and HENNY circle the ring before locking up. Before the action starts, the Manchester crowd continues to get behind Layton as they start singing the following in the tune of KC and the Sunshine Band's "Give It Up
"Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na!
Emery had my Da!
Had my Da!
Emmmery had my Da!"
"Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na!
Emery had my Da!
Had my Da!
Emmmery had my Da!"
Emery had my Da!
Had my Da!
Emmmery had my Da!"
"Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na!
Emery had my Da!
Had my Da!
Emmmery had my Da!"
Layton looks around and nods.
Emery Layton: Why yes, I did!
Kris Cruise: She’s even had your Da, too, Stephy!
Stephy Auger: Oh please! My Da actually has standards, thank you very much!
HENNY quickly uses his strength advantage to muscle Layton across the ring and into the corner.
Ref: ONE... TWO... THREE... FOUR...
Both grapplers make a clean break. HENNY then tries to cheap shot Emery, but she blocks and counters with a forearm smash. The cheers continue as HENNY gets knocked back with another forearm smash. Layton pushes out of the corner, catching HENNY with a quick European Uppercut before following with another forearm smash. She then sets up for an irish whip, but HENNY reverses. When Layton returns, she sees HENNY stepping up for a back body drop. So she counters with a kick right to the face!
Stephy Auger: Watch the moneymaker, Layton! Jesus!
Kris Cruise: Oh no, poor thing. Does he need a timeout to tend to his lip?
Stephy Auger: YES!
HENNY gets knocked upright. He quickly covers his mouth as he staggers across the ring before falling against the turnbuckles. Layton makes her way over, turns HENNY around in the corner before delivering a knife edge chop. HENNY gets doubled over after winding up on the receiving end of another stinging knife edge chop. Layton cups her hand underneath HENNY's chin and lifts him up before delivering a third knife edge chop that echoes throughout the arena. She then takes HENNY and whips him hard into the opposite corner. The crowd cheers when they see HENNY Flair Flip over the top turnbuckle and land on the apron.
HENNY quickly pops back to his feet before running across the apron towards the adjacent corner. He starts to climb the turnbuckles, but Layton is right there to knock him off with a running dropkick!
Kris Cruise: HENNY just went flying to the floor!
Stephy Auger: GAH!
HENNY is slow to pick himself up off the floor. He tries his best to regroup on the outside until Layton leaps through the ropes and knocking him down with a topé suicida!
Kris Cruise: HENNY just got taken out on the outside!
The cheers continue as Layton takes HENNY and rolls him back inside. She rolls back inside for the cover, but there's no one there. The crowd boos as HENNY keeps rolling across the ring before rolling to the outside.
Stephy Auger: Smart, HENNY, smart!
Layton looks out to the crowd before bouncing against the ropes. She picks up speed before she runs across the ring, leaps through the ropes and knocks HENNY down with a second topé suicida!
NO!
HENNY counters with suicide dive with a high dropkick, sending Layton tumbling to the floor!
Kris Cruise: HENNY baited Emery with that one.
Stephy Auger: Ah ha ha! GOOD!
The boos continue as HENNY picks up Layton before planting her with a Snap DDT on the outside.
Stephy Auger: I’d say that DDT knocked some sense into her. But we all know knocking any sense into Emery is a lost cause at this point.
Kris Cruise: Stop it, Stephy.
HENNY rolls Layton back inside. He then slides in, drags Layton away from the ropes and makes the cover.

HENNY Heartache runs across the ring to attack, but Layton knocks him back with a back elbow to the face. HENNY shakes off the blow before rushing back in. This time, Layton turns him around with a boot to the face. HENNY staggers away from the corner. He then quickly turns on a dime, rushes back over and throws out a clothesline. The crowd cheers when Layton counters with a European Uppercut. While HENNY stumbles back, Layton turns to face the corner, springboards to the top turnbuckle and knocks him down with a Moonsault.

Both grapplers run towards the center of the ring, hurl themselves at each other and collide in mid air with Eat the Music (Busaiku Knee Attack from Layton) and If U Seek HENNY (Busaiku Knee Kick from HENNY)!
The capacity crowd is on their feet, applauding the efforts of both grapplers.
Kris Cruise: What a contest we’re seeing between these two.
Stephy Auger: What did you expect? HENNY’s a world class athlete. I suppose Emery’s not so bad, either.
Kris Cruise: Not so bad!?!?
Once they're finally back to their feet, they begin to trade strikes. Layton gains the upper hand until HENNY rakes her across the eyes.
Kris Cruise: Come on, HENNY! You’re better than that!

Kris Cruise: What does he have in mind here?
HENNY pulls up Layton, moves her into the corner and sits her down on the top turnbuckle. After scaling the ropes, the crowd gasps when HENNY takes Layton, jumps off and drives her down with an Avalanche Malmö Driver 91’ (Top Rope Double Underhook Brainbuster)!!! He makes the cover.

The crowd erupts with boos as "Just Like Heaven" blares throughout the arena.
J.A. Aldridge: Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of this bout... HENNY!
The boos continue as HENNY gets his arm raised in victory.
Kris Cruise: What a contest we just witnessed between these two. Both grapplers threw everything at each other. Especially HENNY. Heartache’s Kiss couldn't keep Emery down. A Shot Through the Heart couldn’t finish the job. So he had to bust out the Malmö Driver 91 from the very top to put Layton away.
Stephy Auger: I said it from the start, Cruise. HENNY is a world class athlete and he was going to remind everyone of that here tonight. I think it’s safe to say he did just that.
With HENNY now up the ramp and into the back, the crowd gets to their feet and applauds Layton’s effort. After she returns to her feet, the cheers and applause grow even louder. The She-King salutes the crowd as "Running Up That Hill" blasts over the PA as she bids adieu to FGA.
