ENTRANCE & ATTIRE
ENTRANCE MUSIC:
“Helter Skelter” byThe Beatles
RING ATTIRE:
Enters in a black, hooded jacket which reads “do better” across the chest, and “Est 1989” etched subtly onto the back. Wrestles in long trunks, either black-and-purple, white-and-purple, or white-and-gold. Often the trunks will have the signature “EE” stamped across the back in gold or purple lettering, the E’s facing opposite one another as it appears on his ring jacket. Evan wears white wrist tape, but seldom wears any elbow pads. Has a sick neck tat.
RING ENTRANCE:
The familiar, frantic instrumental slams into the PA system, drawing a pop from the crowd in attendance. Multi-colored strobes dance throughout the venue as the Beatles’ “Helter Skelter” blares throughout. Upon the first hint of vocals, Evan Envi steps through the tunnel and onto the ramp, his signature jacket thrown on, hood pulled up over his head, slightly obscuring the view of his face. He takes a few steps forward, eyes pointed downward… until a smirk crosses his face and he looks up, peeling the hood off of his head..
[ANNOUNCER INTRO]
Raising his signature Double V’s high into the air, Envi makes his way down the ramp. Evan climbs the stairs and finally lowers his arms once he’s climbed the ropes near the turnbuckles as if walking a staircase, standing at the top as he unzips his jacket, shooting a wink toward the audience members nearest to him. Envi tosses his jacket aside and leaps from the top rope down into the ring, running the ropes just once before coming to a stop at the ropes nearest to the hard camera, staring coolly into the lens-- at someone-- before the smallest smile returns to his face and he backs to the center of the ring, music fading.
CHAMPIONSHIP ENTRANCE:
NOTE: Please keep in mind that we don't do pyrotechnics.
[COMING WHENEVER EVAN STUMBLES UPON A TITLE]
CHARACTER BACKGROUND
PERSONALITY:
Quirky at best, mf goofy at worst. Envi is loud, outgoing, and often obnoxious. Since his comeback, he’s constantly trying to challenge himself to accomplish new goals. He’s become outwardly remorseful and guilt-ridden over his past actions and looks to act as somewhat of an anchor in the locker room (though this often backfires). Evan is now constantly trying to better himself, morally.
STRENGTHS:
1. Agility - Evan is incredibly fast and, consequently, evasive-- particularly against strikers.
2. Innovation - When unable to land standard variations of many moves, Evan will, without hesitation, modify his maneuvers appropriately. (This doesn’t mean it’s always successful.)
3. Patience/Methodology - Entering his thirteenth year of wrestling, Evan has grown more patient, allowing for a much more straightforward and methodical approach.
WEAKNESSES:
1. Brute Strength - While his repertoire is extensive, Evan struggles more in “tests of strengths” with larger, stronger opponents. Suffers greatly if a powerhouse dictates the pace of a match.
2. Battle Worn - Envi has missed large chunks of time since 2014, largely due to a recurring back injury-- resulting in some ring rust, and a more obvious target. This might come into play more during long encounters.
3. High-risk style - Self-explanatory. Though Evan’s high-risk maneuvers are less frequent nowadays, they are still a pivotal (and often costly) part of his repertoire.
TAUNTS/MANNERISMS:
1. “Double Vs” Two very presidential-looking peace signs, usually thrown high up.

BACKGROUND:
1989- 2007
Evan Envi (Evan Nicholas Harrison) was born in June 1989 to his second-generation-Welsh-American father and his mother who had emigrated to the District of Columbia from Italy with her family as a child. Rather than choosing to follow the path of law such as their mother or enter the medical field like their father, Evan and his three older siblings became encompassed with the sport of wrestling and--- for lack of a better term--- obsessed through much of their youth and early adolescents.
As well as competing for his high school’s wrestling team throughout his entire four years of public high school, Evan was active in both kickboxing and gymnastics, incorporating all of his backgrounds into his professional wrestling style, even today. For years, Evan and his brothers (Tyler and Jeffrey Harrison) would host “backyard wrestling”, a weekly event, literally in an unused soccer field behind their home. Weekly, the events would be recorded and uploaded via the internet and other forms of media sharing. While a few local wrestlers would occasionally join the mix, the “backyard wrestling” card usually featured rowdy locals with no experience and no desire to incorporate wrestling into their lives farther than watching it on television. Regardless, while Jeff, Tyler, and Sienna Harrison all traveled through the “independents”, Evan found himself hired by the American Wrestling Alliance in February 2007 at just seventeen years old, based off of a pair of tryouts with the company (organized by girlfriend Maria Clarke, who had been hired a few months prior) and the videos he provided.
2007-2008 (Evan Heir/American Wrestling Alliance)
After a devastating series of losses during his first months in AWA, Evan (using the moniker “Evan Heir”, slightly exaggerating the details of his family’s financial prosperity) found himself catapulted to Cruiserweight Championship contention. In a triple threat match, he and rival Jason Storm both pinned the champion, Mark Cross, and were declared co-champions with the caveat that if either of them lost the title, both would lose. The two went on to have successful singles title defenses, with Evan’s first title defense inside of an acrylic cage match (against his future friend and mentor, Logan Alexander) also resulting in his first victory in AWA. From there, Evan would go on to hold the championship on three more occasions, often trading the championship in classic bouts with Alexander before the title’s lineage controversially ended with Evan and Logan as co-champions.
Evan formed a brief alliance with fellow talent Xtreme, and frequented the main event scene against the likes of the Legendary Low and then-AWA Champion, Brian Stevens. Evan also enjoyed success as a two-time (and final) AWA United States champion. He toured the world with and without the American Wrestling Alliance, embracing the fans and earning a rockstar-like reaction in most parts of North America and Europe. Whilst in AWA, Evan would befriend the fan-favorite A.C. Smith, and then-unknown Aubrey J. Parker, who would later become his girlfriend, agent, manager-- and later, rival.
Maria Clarke gave birth to twin boys (Jason Christopher and Jonah Dylan Harrison) in May 2008. The relationship struggled and ultimately fell apart months later, with Evan claiming that the same dream that had been responsible for bringing them together was also responsible for driving a wedge between them. Maria quietly stepped away from the sport altogether while Evan pursued opportunities elsewhere after the closure of AWA.
2009 (Ultimate Wrestling Alliance)
After AWA’s downward spiral and eventual closure in 2008, made official in 2009, Harrison competed in the “Ultimate Wrestling Alliance”, which featured several competitors from multiple different organizations competing in matches, while a tournament for the World Championship was contested later. During this time, Evan (partnered with a bright-eyed, happy-go-lucky Aubrey J. Parker as his valet) became disenchanted with his position in the sport. He left the UWA on a sour note with the audience, locker-room, and management before disappearing from wrestling for roughly eighteen months, partially due to clinical depression, and partially due to a shoulder injury caused by Brian Stevens months prior.
2010-2011 (Evan Harrison/American Championship Wrestling)
In the August of 2010, Evan debuted under his real name in American Championship Wrestling, joining at the urging of A.C. Smith. Again, Aubrey J. Parker was at his side, though much different from the fresh-out-of-college twenty-one year old in UWA. Parker had developed a more sinister attitude, and was often seen as Harrison’s “mouthpiece” and could often be found at ringside shouting commands at her boyfriend. Parker aided Evan to victory in a controversial match against A.C. Smith-- significant due to Evan’s inability to beat the New Yorker before. Despite the finish, Smith would join forces with Evan (and by default, Parker, and Evan’s then-mentor, Logan Alexander).
Despite their company, Smith and Evan remained fan-favorites and formed a successful pairing. Though they wouldn’t go on to hold the tag team championships, falling short in decisions marred by interference, Evan found success holding the United States championship for a brief period before going onto become ACW’s penultimate Specialist Champion before the title was retired. Evan officially (and quietly) severed ties with Logan Alexander after being booked in a match against him on an episode of ACW Shockwave, which Evan won.
Smith would then go onto win the United States Championship, defeating Logan Alexander, and Alexander departed from the company shortly thereafter-- largely due to a throw to the outside of the ring by Smith that many considered unnecessary. Soon, after a series of backstage disagreements and a heated argument between Harrison and several members of the staff, he once again found himself on the outs and abruptly left American Championship Wrestling in the late winter of 2011 after delivering an impromptu, emotional tirade, targeting those in management.
Smith quietly took a hiatus from active competition while Parker found singles success. When Smith returned to ACW in the late summer of 2011, Evan Harrison returned immediately after, acknowledging that he had qualms with Smith, though many of the issues remained private and kept off of camera up until this point. Smith went on to hold the World Championship before ultimately losing it at ACW’s premier Pay-Per-View, Struggle for Supremacy. Seven days later, after being distracted by Evan, Smith was defeated by a newcomer and rookie, Jeff Purse, and was provoked by Evan after the match which led to a confrontation. Immediately, Smith was rushed by former AWA comrade Jason Storm. Smith was assaulted continuously, and taunted by the two via backstage vignettes and interviews from afar. Finally, with former AWA World Champion Brian Stevens at his side, Smith clashed with Storm and Harrison which saw Harrison emerge victorious over Smith before the curtains closed on American Championship Wrestling.
2011 (Unemployment/Sin City Wrestling)
Evan claimed in an interview that he “knew it was coming”, and became very outspoken about his time in ACW-- which, in Evan’s words, had been horrible. Though he later admitted to suffering from depression throughout, Evan wrestled four matches for Sin City Wrestling in a very brief stint, once again under the “Evan Heir” name just days after the closure of ACW. Evan went on an indefinite hiatus from SCW in January 2012, and returned to his home in Los Angeles, giving speeches to other aspiring athletes, while splitting his time between LA and Maryland, with his children.
2012-2013 (Envi/Action Packed Wrestling/Code Red Wrestling/Experts)
On April 1, 2012, Evan told an interviewer that he was “speaking with” Action Packed Wrestling but would not confirm whether he had indeed signed a contract or not. It was speculated that Evan had signed with APW due to his former friend and longtime rival A.C. Smith signing with the company just a few weeks prior.
Evan debuted in Action Packed Wrestling in late April of 2012, suffering a loss via submission to Sam Parker on the first episode of APW's repackaged Monday Night Meltdown. In May 2012 at APW's Mayhem pay-per-view, Evan participated in the inaugural North American Championship match against Yarmouth, winning the championship and successfully defending it again eight days later. Despite being a fan-favorite for a majority of his career, Evan's spiteful attitude toward the profession and the places he performed generated backlash from the fans, turning him into the proverbial villian (though, ironically, the face) of Monday Night Meltdown.
In early June of 2012, after a physical confrontation with World Champion Jason Kash on Monday Night Meltdown, Evan announced his entry into the 2012 Experts' Tournament-- an inter-promotional tournament-- on the same night as Kash. Evan went on to defeat Kash in Experts' Extreme Tournament and advanced to the Quarter-Finals undefeated until suffering a loss to Kurt Noble during a triple threat Street Fight in Siberia also involving Drake Mosa.
Meanwhile, in APW, Evan was drafted to the Overdrive brand and went onto defeat A.C. Smith in an impromptu number-one contender's match for the APW Xtreme Championship at their Shockwave Pay-Per-View, and then defeated Shadow for the championship later that night. From there, Evan became engaged in a heated feud with Nick Watson, battling him to a no-contest once and then suffering a loss to him via-disqualification weeks later.
After Evan publicly and violently severed ties with his sister Sienna on APW television, he was also confronted by Meltdown Megastar Vincent Pennington and longtime rival A.C. Smith, being forced to put his Xtreme Title on the line for the second time, against Nick Watson and A.C. Smith in a triple threat Falls Count Anywhere match at APW's One Night in Hell Pay-Per-View, which he lost to Watson after retaliation from Sienna.
Evan Envi and Delikado would then go onto create the tag team Envikado, picking up three victories in relatively quick fashion and placing themselves on the fast track to the APW Tag Team Championships. Around this time, Evan Envi employed his longtime friends Jenny and Jeremy Knite as his manager/agent and his cameraman, respectively.
Simultaneously, Envi began a rivalry with veteran competitor, Buck Dempsey following the announcement that they would be opponents in a triple threat Experts' Tag Team Championship match, where Evan declared himself the partner of the notorious M.D.K. Evan and M.D.K. fell short, as the titles were won by the team of Scott Rage and Insomnia. Evan eventually signed a twelve-month contract with the New York-based Code Red Wrestling, Dempsey's home-company, on the afternoon of November 13th, going on to defeat Dempsey in a one-on-one match in what would be Evan's CRW debut.
While continuing to feud with the likes of Buck Dempsey, Donovan Davenport, and Talon Wilkinson via CRW, Evan would maneuver into a violent and personal feud with John Dionysus back in APW which lasted from November 2012 until January's Survive & Conquer 2013 event. After leading Dionysus on to believe Evan wished to become his tag team partner, Evan betrayed Dionysus, goading him into a retirement match at the Survive and Conquer event, claiming he refused to be left off the card-- something he feared would happen as Dionysus’ partner. Evan would go onto retire Dionysus in a brutal No-Disqualifications bout, and then set his sights on the APW Overdrive Championship, which he then won from Mark Mania after a lengthy battle at APW's "headline" pay-per-view, Rasslemania. Evan Envi then went onto defend the championship against Megastars such as Buckson Gooch, Amy Zing, Shadow, Johnny Rebel, Tommy Knox, Robina Hood, Nate Havok, Michael Jennings, and others throughout his Overdrive Championship reign.
2013- 2016 (Free Agent/Return to Sin City Wrestling)
On July 11, 2013, Evan Envi allowed his contract with Action Packed Wrestling to expire and remained a free agent, making appearances for Sin City Wrestling and Phoenix Wrestling with the APW Overdrive Championship. On August 13, 2013, Evan Envi finalized a contract with Sin City Wrestling, signing on as a full-time member of the active roster, personally employing Jenny Knite, once again, as his agent and manager. Meanwhile, in Action Packed Wrestling, despite remaining the Overdrive Champion, Evan Envi had the championship belt stolen from him in a July episode of Overdrive, however, regained the championship belt after a Tables' match on the August 8th edition of the program. Evan Envi was scheduled to appear in a Ladder Match to defend the Overdrive Championship at Action Packed Wrestling's August pay-per-view, Shockwave, on August 25, 2013 and it marked the first time that a wrestler not employed with the company had participated in the event, however, Evan lost the championship to Tommy Knox and was effectively banned from APW until its closure two months later.
Meanwhile, after facing a series of setbacks against opponents such as Sam Strachon, Paradox McSweeney, and Drake Mosa, Envi enjoyed success in Sin City Wrestling toward the autumn season. He managed to score victories over opponents such as Tobias Burden, Decker Watts, and former three-time Global Champion, David Cyclone. Things took a turn for the worse, however, as Envi was assaulted at SCW's Legacy event by the mysterious and masked "Bull", who revealed himself to be Rex Evans-- someone Evan had constantly antagonized in CRW. Over the next few weeks, Evan and Jenny Knite were targeted and harassed by Rex Evans. Envi's refusal to face Rex led to Jenny facing Rex at SCW No Limit in December 2013 (with Evan eventually becoming a special referee) in which Rex concussed Jenny by smashing her head between stairs and a steel chair. Seeking retaliation over the next few weeks, Evan and Rex finally met at SCW Jackpot in January, where Evan defeated Rex in one-on-one competition. The following week, Evan defeated Rex, Caroline Stark, and Diego de la Vega in a match to become the number one contender to the Global Championship (which was won by Lucy Jones later that night), though Evan was assaulted by Rex Evans a week after his victory. Rex Evans found a way to guarantee himself a cage match with Evan in the future "as long as the two refrain from any physical contact."
Behind the scenes, Evan Envi was criticized by the wrestling community and friends/family alike after appearing on-camera during a promotional video for an Action Packed Wrestling event. He refused to comment when questioned about it during interviews. This was around the same time that Evan and longtime friend (as well as agent and tag team partner) Jenny Knite became embroiled in a bitter personal feud. Jenny moved out of Evan's house and Evan's friend/Mason's girlfriend, Megan Kiehl, immediately took her place as a roommate, supposedly for financial reasons. After the incident, Jenny ceased accompanying Evan Envi to the ring and began focusing heavily on her own in-ring career.
Evan faced Lucy Jones for the SCW Global Championship in the main event of Cancun Clash 2014, but ultimately failed in his attempt. It was around the same time that he returned to Action Packed Wrestling for its final (post-closure) event Rasslemania X in a victorious effort against Xtreme Champion, A.C. Smith in a non-title match, but Evan would then abstain from in-ring competition for two months for unknown reasons. He remained active on SCW television during the time, however, and his complicated relationship with former best friend Jenny Knite reached dangerous heights-- culminating in a match which saw Jenny Knite not only win the Vegas Championship from Bryan Rodgers at Original Sin, but officially split from Envi. Evan interfered, seemingly in an attempt to get Jenny disqualified during the match-- and as a result, he was involved in an altercation with Rex Evans after the bell. General Manager Sabra later announced that Rex and Evan would compete in the 2014 Double Down match at SCW's June PPV of the same name, with Doug Fresh as the special guest referee, leading to an enraged, mentally-exhausted Evan viciously assaulting Rex on the May 21st episode of Wildcard, hammering a microphone into his skull eighteen times. Eventually (all while both verbally and often physically feuding with the then Skylar-Evans family) Evan, with considerable help from Lani San Diego, was able to defeat Rex Evans at the match and declare himself the (unofficial) "winner of the war."
Evan would ask for extended "vacation time" from SCW for undisclosed reasons, which went into effect immediately after Double Down. Evan would go onto compete in Phoenix Wrestling's Iron King tournament, though after an impressive run, he was eventually eliminated by nemesis Devon Cole. Rather than return to SCW, Evan would quietly undergo surgery for a shoulder injury that had plagued him in the past. During his rehabilitation, the extent of Evan's usually-dismissed neck injuries were questioned by his doctors. It was advised that he remain inactive for upwards of twelve months and undergo full rehabilitation, and thus, Evan, in private, decided on his hiatus from the wrestling business.
Less than two months into his rehabilitation, Evan Envi was approached by Sabra Kellar and warned that she could be dismissed as General Manager, leaving him as an heir to the title. Though Evan would have to share the role of General Manager with Kendall Kingham, he defied the expectations of critics and worked well alongside her, leading Sin City Wrestling to its highest ratings in years-- though eventually, Kingham was forced out of her role by the likes of Chad Carbone and her former namesake, the faction KFC. Evan would eventually find himself involved in a bitter rivalry with his boss, Carbone, leading to a War Games match at the 2015 event, All In, where "Camp Envi" (Whiskey Ayano, Dexter Jacobs, Daniela Lazar, Kendall Kingham, and Rex Evans) defeated "Team CarbDog" (Tabula Rasa, David Cyclone, Dom Harter, Brytain Rollins, and Tarja Harrison).
Despite the highs of his success, Evan struggled immensely beneath the pressure of steering the Sin City ship without assistance. Over months, he would gradually lose the faith of his peers before finally, emotionally quitting days after the 2015 Legacy event on an episode of Wildcard, just a week-and-a-half after suffering a mysterious backstage attack. Though Evan left on bad terms with the SCW roster and fanbase, he would spend the next month training vigorously, before returning to SCW television alongside Xavier Laroux in an “improved, consolidated Camp Envi” in the December of 2015, denouncing the product he'd been "forced" to promote for over a year, vowing to take a stand for the side of the wrestling world with stronger morals.
Evan returned to the ring at the end of 2015, in a losing effort to Whiskey-Dex alongside Laroux. He would spend the next few weeks berating the Sin City crowd for turning their backs on him years ago in favor of Sensei Lucy (formerly Lucy Jones), and would eventually declare himself an entrant in the first ever Jackpot Rumble at the 2016 Jackpot event. Envi entered (after attempting to have the ring "sanitized") though he was quickly eliminated by surprise-entrant Sensei Luci. The two would engage in an bitter, oviolent rivalry in the weeks following. Envi would pick up wins over Cynthia Cross and SCW Global Champion Michael Norcia with assistance from Xavier Laroux and Daniela Lazar, respectively. Envi injured Norcia’s arm during their match, igniting a years-long feud between the pair.
Evan finally faced Sensei Lucy in Hell in a Cell at the 2016 Cancun Clash event. Despite being dominated throughout a majority of the match, assistance from Lazar and Envi’s ring-awareness led him to victory, and Lazar would injure Sensei Lucy after the bell, ending her career.
Following the contest, Envi would “aid” his friend (then-SCW Global Champion) Rex Evans and attack Michael Norcia alongside Lazar, injuring him in the process. Though Rex protested, Envi would eventually deter Norcia from his Global Championship rematch and face him in a match at SCW’s Double Down, though Norcia proved victorious. After the match, upset that the company had been purchased by his ex-fiancé Aubrey Wilkinson and her husband (former CRW owner) Talon, Evan Envi would seek work elsewhere while fulfilling his contractual obligations to SCW. In the late June of 2016, Envi began negotiations with Frontier Grappling Arts.

2016- 2019 (FGA, HKW, RAIDEN, Europe, World Championship, Injury)
Evan began his tenure in FGA (Frontier Grappling Arts) interjecting himself into Molly Reid’s affairs, claiming that he was going to help her achieve the success everyone assumed she would when she was a champion in Insurgency Wrestling-- and partially blaming himself for her “largely uneventful” SCW run. While his interference initially led to tainted victories for Reid, they ultimately began to cost her matches. Incensed at being kicked to the curb, Evan lashed out, assaulting Molly Reid before going on to earn a singles victory over her. At the same time, Evan would also become involved in a brief war of words with Mark Storm, and though Evan lost that battle, he was included in a multi-person match for a shot at Fujiko Mine’s Pride Championship, which was won by Reid.
After Reid captured the Pride Championship, Envi became far more direct in his attacks-- declaring himself “Unmollykickable” for one stretch-- and in his intentions, setting his sights on the Pride Title, but was ultimately bested 2-1 by Reid as a part of a co-main event at 2016’s Final Frontier. Envi would go… literally completely silent for about two months following the loss, claiming that Molly Reid had caused irreparable damage to his body. Around the same time, he introduced Sadie San Francisco to the FGA Faithful, who acted as his mouthpiece and occasional tag team partner. Later, upon “regaining his voice” Evan introduced his girlfriend Neon (or “NEON”) to FGA, forming another incarnation of “Camp Envi”, while he feuded with Noelle Smith, his former longtime girlfriend, earning a singles victory over her at the inaugural Grapple Kingdom event. Throughout the feud, the relationship between Sadie and Neon fractured. Envi competed in that year’s Gold Rush Rumble, achieving the title of “iron man” before being eliminated by Chandler Scott in the final three. Later, Envi would be unsuccessful in a rematch against Smith at All-Star Showdown in 2017-- where Sadie also officially split from the group. During the event, Envi performed a Superplex on Smith from the top rope to the apron, resulting in a back injury that shelved him for six weeks.
Upon being cleared for competition in late August 2017, Evan returned to the ring in a one-off for German-based promotion NKP (New Kingdom Pro) teaming with Julian Tijerina in a losing effort against Annie Zellor and Lowri Moss. During this time, he also made appearances for the SSWA (Shooting Star Wrestling Alliance) and HKW’s (Hard Knox Wrestling) Underground, continuing an ongoing feud with Aries Armadaist.
In September 2017, FGA held a draft between Vertigo (with GM Brandon Macdonald) and its newest program, Flashpoint (with GM Hadley Herrera) to establish separate rosters. Evan Envi was the very last Grappler selected, landing on Flashpoint at #47. Being chosen last proved to motivate Evan and he eventually began to win the respect of the fanbase with a string of performances culminating in Envi winning the 2017 Frontier Lion’s Cup, defeating Owen Gonsalves in the final round. As a result, Evan was declared the number one contender to Johnny Karma’s Undisputed Championship, igniting a rivalry between the two. Around this same time, Neon won the FGA 15 Championship and became directly involved in Evan’s affairs.
The rivalry between Karma and Envi intensified when Neon attacked Karma’s manager Cherry Baum backstage. Evan denied involvement, but still defended his girlfriend and tag team partner over the weeks, during which time Karma became frustrated, making it his mission to destroy Neon. The situation came to a head when Neon and Johnny Karma were booked in a main event match for Neon’s FGA Championship. The match came to a stop when Karma brutalized Neon on the outside of the ring, leading to a pull-apart brawl between Karma and Envi. Though Envi was unsuccessful at Grapple Kingdom 2, he was granted an opportunity to become the number one contender again by GM Hadley Herrera-- as long as Envi could defeat Chandler Scott in a one-on-one match. The two would compete in the night’s main event with Scott evidently prepared to secure victory-- before shock interference by a returning Ricky Valero gave the win to Evan. The two embraced after the bell, declaring themselves the “Good Guys” of wrestling.
During this time Evan publicly severed ties with Neon, who had just lost the FGA 15 Title, claiming she was responsible for holding him back. The Good Guys would continue to antagonize Johnny Karma and Chandler Scott-- eventually leading to Hadley Herrera firing Ricky Valero! Incensed, Evan later lashed out at Karma and confessed to being the one who orchestrated the backstage attack on Cherry Baum, insinuating that the attack should've been “much worse.” In the heat of this, Evan Envi defeated Karma at Only the Strong Survive to become the FGA Undisputed Champion, marking the beginning of his first World Championship reign. Immediately after the show, Envi supposedly signed an “exclusive deal” with the Vertigo brand along with Ricky Valero, making the championship suddenly unavailable to nearly half of the FGA roster.
While continuing a verbal feud with Chandler Scott that (as of this writing) remains unresolved, Evan began a rivalry with the Gold Rush Rumble winner, Jimmy Page, while also being the catalyst for a brand war between Vertigo and Flashpoint. After Karma infiltrated an episode of Vertigo to attack Envi during a main event, Envi would help spearhead an invasion on the Flashpoint roster. While Flashpoint would prove dominant in the brand war, Envi was victorious in a triple threat over Jimmy Page and Johnny Karma at All-Star Showdown in 2018, retaining his Undisputed Championship with the assistance of Natalie McKinley, who would join the Good Guys on the same night.
Around the same time, Evan Envi (who had heckled and goaded owner Chris Strike into signing him) was booked to compete against Michael Norcia in RAIDEN’s inaugural show. After years of antagonizing Norcia, Evan was finally silenced in a one-on-one match, felled by the Hand of God. Soon after, Evan discovered that his next RAIDEN opponent would be his longtime enemy, Savannah Taylor.
During this time, Evan Envi would continue his run in HKW’s Underground, pretending to be a life-sized Deathsteak in an effort to tag with Aries Armadaist, which ultimately fell apart as Envi (a vegan) was exposed. The beef-eating community never forgave him for this perceived slight.
Meanwhile in FGA, Envi would coerce Natalie McKinley into attacking Fujiko Mine, damaging their longtime friendship in the process. In spite of this, Fujiko and Page won a match that ousted Brandon Macdonald from FGA, leaving the board of directors to decide Envi’s next title match-- a Lumberjack match against Jimmy Page at Capital Combat. Back in HKW’s Underground, Envi participated in a triple threat match against Aries Aramadaist and Kamijo at HKW’s “Destiny” in 2018, though Aries ultimately pinned Kamijo to claim victory and bring a temporary end to their rivalry.
Back in FGA, although Envi seemed to have the upperhand after assaulting Page in his hometown, using the citizens of Baltimore as a human barrier between himself and the challenger-- Page proved victorious in the Lumberjack match at FGA’s Capital Combat, winning the World (formerly Undisputed) Championship, despite “The Chief” bringing an assortment of handpicked backup. Simultaneously, Evan was preparing for a match against longtime rival Savannah Taylor in RAIDEN, a bout in which Taylor was victorious.
Envi continued teaming with Valero as a part of the Good Guys throughout the duration of 2018, while finding himself placed in the Frontier Lion’s Cup tournament as a singles’ competitor for the second consecutive year-- a tournament that Envi won at FGA’s Final Frontier, defeating Fujiko Mine, Dom Harter, and finally Logan Alexander to secure victory and earn a match for the World Title. Kol was scheduled to defend his championship against Envi at FGA’s Only the Strong Survive, but after weeks of torment, Kol agreed to put his World Championship on the line against Envi earlier than expected on an episode of Vertigo. On the January 27th, 2019 edition of Vertigo, Envi defeated Kol to begin his second reign as FGA World Champion.
Immediately after winning his second World Championship, Envi became embroiled in a rivalry with Fujiko Mine… someone that he had a tumultuous relationship with. The feud caused rifts within Camp Envi, with Natalie McKinley’s relationship with both sides still strained. Constantly, Ricky and Natalie would bicker among themselves, with McKinley reaching her breaking point during a World Title match between Fujiko Mine and Evan Envi at FGA Revelations. Ricky ran interference at multiple points, but McKinley prevented him from hitting Fujiko with a chair in the match’s final moments. McKinley shoved Valero to the ground and walked out of Evan’s corner, allowing the match to eventually conclude in a disqualification. While Camp Envi experienced infighting, Fujiko made her intentions clear; to challenge one final time for the World Title.
During preparations, Valero pointed out a pattern of behaviors by his tag team partner, openly speculating that Envi harbored feelings for Valero’s longtime sworn enemy Fujiko Mine and vice versa. More and more frequent outbursts from Valero led to McKinley departing the group entirely. Evan struck up a friendship with Kazu Hirano around this same time, further drawing the ire of Valero. Hirano and Envi even created a tag team (seeing Envi dramatically improve his Powerbomb form!) The team was built partially out of necessity as Evan Envi had become entangled in a bitter feud with longtime rival Dom Harter, stemming from Envi’s controversial victory over Harter during the Frontier Lion’s Cup tournament. Envi and Valero (the Good Guys) faced Dom Harter and Annie Zellor (Tenacious Wrecking Crew) in a bout for the Seattle Pro Tag Team Titles, but were unsuccessful. A month later Envi sought the help of Kazu Hirano in a non-title endeavor against the Tenacious Wrecking Crew-- but also fell short, eventually leading to a singles match between Envi and Harter at 2019’s All Star Showdown, which Harter ultimately won.
Afterwards, Envi vowed to focus heavily on tag team competition-- and completely coincidentally, unrelated to the Good Guys in any way, a pair of paint-clad, dimension-traveling warriors named Los Chicos Malos entered FGA’s 2019 Dynamic Duo tournament. Epidemius and Prometheus, however, were ultimately eliminated in the quarterfinals. Evan Envi knows nothing about any of it. He just observed.
In October, on the final Vertigo of 2019 emanating from Birmingham, Alabama, Ricky Valero was scheduled to face Kazu Hirano in a one-on-one match. He lamented to Envi about Kazu Hirano leading up to the match, and Hirano’s impact on Envi. Regardless, Envi and Hirano maintained their friendship, leading to an extra-aggressive Valero attempting to brutalize Hirano throughout their match, and strategically using Evan to distract Kazu for the win. While Envi attempted to reconcile with Hirano, he was assaulted backstage. His head was driven through the rear window of a taxi, resulting in a skull fracture and concussion that would sideline Envi for months at the hands of an unseen assailant.
2020- Present (Return)
Envi spent the remainder of 2019 out of the public eye, healing privately in his home in Ocean City, Maryland, and apparently considering retirement.
