It was a gloomy and bitter cold day in Seoul, as they always are this time of the year. The weather made the mood worse than it could have been, as Yun was visiting a graveyard. It was always gloomy when she came to places like this she thought. Yun was sitting in front of a grave bearing the picture of a young girl, who judging from the tombstone was a little younger than Yun.
The grave belonged to a friend of Yun, a fellow pop star whom had died last year in a car accident. They went through training together and were pretty close up until Yun left Seoul. To the public eye agencies would like you to believe idols from different labels were not friends, but that was further from the truth. Yun had never had to deal with death before and her death hit her pretty hard. She had taken to bringing flowers to her every time she was back in Korea.
Ever since her death a few months ago, Yun had been going through a bit of an existential crisis, trying to find her place in life. She thought about going back to her family, about going back to being an idol full time, about going back to wrestling or just finding a new path. Just anything that made sense to her...
But she was starting to waiver in her thoughts about everything she thought she once was sure of. What made sense to her last year was now in question and almost nothing made sense. An injury to her knee took her out of wrestling for almost a year and she wasn't sure she wanted to risk another injury like that, but she got out of being a idol for a reason and going back to that was... sure she liked the fame there was no way to go around that thought... But she hated everything that came with that fame in Korea.
Low wages. Shit working environments. 20 hour work days. Stalker fans. Being told what to do and when to do it and having not one free moment to your self.
So here she found her self, deep in thought about her life. Wondering if she made the right choice, realizing how quickly it can end. Yun lets out a loud sigh then kisses two fingers and places them on the forehead of the girl in the picture.
"She died doing what she loved, so I do think she was happy." Yun says, "I wish I could say that I was happy..." as Yun says that, footsteps sound out behind her.
Approaching her was Joe Shamrock. He was at its root her bodyguard, a position he took up almost 12 years ago now when Yun was just 10 and still part of SYC Entertainment. But he was so much more to her, friend, father figure, confidant. Shamrock had with him the PDW NBT Championship belt, a title Yun earned twice. It was the first championship she had ever held in wrestling, and because of that Star had let her keep the belt as a memento of her success. Shamrock hands the belt to Yun, then takes a step back.
"One day, when someone is visiting my grave. I want them to say I lived with no regrets, that I was happy. I think I have made up my mind in that regard, so I wanted to come and say good bye to you Eun-Bi. I don't know when I will get a chance to visit you again." Yun says to the picture of the girl as she kneels in front of the gravestone.
Yun unclasps the championship belt and wraps it around the gravestone, clasping it in the back so it holds up right below the picture of the girl. "Keep it safe for me, the next time I visit if I am truly happy, I am going to wait it back." she says with a smile then gets up and walks away with out glancing back.
"So, did you get it?" Yun asks Shamrock, who nods in response.
"I have it in the car." he says in response.
The two walk back to their car, an older blue echo that Yun has dubbed The Blueberry, in silence. Shamrock knew it was best to let her sort out her inner issues on her own and Yun just wanted to reflect. Images of her meeting her friend Eun-bi raced through her mind as she walked by to the car, Yun tried to keep her mind only on the happy memories but no mater how hard she tried, the weight and feeling of her heart dropping when she found out Eun-bi was dead hit her like a ton of bricks.
Yun wanted to leave this behind for the time being, but was finding it very difficult. She was lost in thought when Joe Shamrock snapped her back to reality. "Here it is." he says, handing her a piece of paper.
"If I fax it back by 5pm, they can get you on the next DVD taping. As a wrestler, none of that spot appearances with Sebastian. They want you to face Johnny Karma and really would like to hear back by us by 5, Yun." he says, as Yun slides into the passenger seat of the car looking at the piece of paper that Shamrock handed her.
He rounded the car and got into the drivers seat.
"Did you check it over?" Yun asks.
"Yep, standard. Nothing funny, no fine print. Non-Binding, you show up they pay you. It is a week to week contract. Not the best of money in the world, but you will be doing something you want to do. Will be a bit different than you are used to with PDW and IWF, but I think it will be good for you. Erin and Amy both agree, as does Sebastian. But his involvement with the federation (and you) may have to do with his endorsement... " Shamrock says to her... "I think it would be good for you also, Yun."
Yun looks over the contract a bit her self, but all the legal talk confused the hell out of her. It always has. She has been dealing with contracts since she was 9 years old and was no better at understanding them today than she was then.
"Don't worry, I'm pretty sure the owner isn't going to try to make you give him a blowjob in exchange for more lines in a song... well a better position on the card in this case, nor do I think they are going to try to force you to under go plastic surgery." Shamrock joked with her.
"You know, no one has tried to force me to try to get plastic surgery since that guy in 2007. I believe you broke his jaw and his nose if I am not mistaken?" she asks him, while still looking over the contract.
"And two ribs." Shamrock adds in with a bit of glee, "So what do you think?"
"About the broken ribs? Guy had it coming, he was a creep deluxe." Yun retorts.
"The contract you douche." Shamrock pulls a pen out from his suit pocket and tosses it to Yun over on the passenger seat.
Yun picks up the pen and looks at it, then the contract. "Will you be there?" she asks him. He laughs at her pretty loudly.
"You're not getting rid of me that easy, Yun. I told you all those years ago, and I said it again when you decided to leave Seoul... and I decided to give up a great paying job to baby sit a naive little girl full time WITH OUT pay..." Yun gives him a dirty look, which makes him laugh. "I will always be here to protect you Yun, even if the sky falls down."
"... Thank you." she says, and signs her name on the bottom of the contract.
"So Johnny Karma?" she says questioningly.
"Yep, they were pretty hype to get you into the ring with him too. The guy I talked too sounded beside him self the thought of the match. I cant tell you much about him, but I know he is pretty big in FGA. So it will be just like it always is, thrown into the grinder from the word go." he says to her.
"That is fine. I seem to work better that way... I guess we should book a flight to America... I guess I should also get in touch with Miyoko. She is going to be thrilled to know that I am getting back into the ring finally. She has been calling me non-stop like weekly since the doctors cleared me to wrestle." Yun says with a smile.

Yun Cam: FGA Episode 1
~~~~~~~~~~
The camera comes to life in the living room of Yun Goeun's New York apartment. She is holding it her self, and trying to look at the display to get a good angle on herself. After a few minutes of struggling, and up nostril shots, she screams for Shamrock to come hold the camera. As Yun fixes her hair, the camera moves away from her.
"Hello FGA! Annyeonghaseyo!" Yun says waving both of her hands in front of the camera, giving a double victory V after she is done waving.
"Many of you may not know me, and in turn I may not know many of you. My name is Yun Goeun. I am new around here and I wanted to take this time to say I look forward to working with all of you. Please look out for me!
I am from South Korea, the nice Korea, I am NOT from North Korea, the naughty Korea. I am from the Korea that brought you PSY, not the one from The Interview. I feel that deserves to be said because... well just because. I've faced some stupid people... BUT I am not saying any of you here in FGA would make that mistake!
I am new to wrestling by about 2 years now, and I look forward to furthering my skills with each of you in the ring. This week I get to start my FGA career by facing a guy it seems a lot of people here look up too in Johnny Karma, and I am thrilled to get the chance to face a veteran like him.
Only when I am given a challenge, can I over come a challenge.
I am sure Johnny Karma is looking at this as a easy week, and I do not blame him.
I am not saying he is looking past me, but I am sure he is thinking he is not going to need his A Game.
And again. I do not blame him.
But to me, it is a challenge, I KNOW I am going to need to bring my A Game. I know week in and week out I need to bring my A game because every single wrestler on this roster is better than me. I am comfortable to say that, I am not selling my self short.
What I AM doing is saying I know I have a ladder to climb, a ladder to climb to better my self. Every single match I am going to have in FGA now, I will walk away better from. There is as much to learn in victory as there is in defeat.
So I really asked for this interview today to say one thing.
Always bring your A Game against me, because I am going to do the same to you.
I am going to take every single move you can dish out, and I am going to get back up.
I don't care how beaten I am, how bloody I am, I am going to get back up and I am going to fight.
So please, take me seriously. Know that it is going to take ONLY your 100% effort to stop the fight of Yun Goeun.
I've come a long way to get where I am.
But I have even further to go.
The first rung on my FGA Ladder is Johnny Karma, and I could not be more thrilled to start on such a high note. Because win or lose, I can look my self in the mirror and say I moved up on my ladder. That I am a better wrestler for having wrestled Johnny Karma.
I really do mean it, when I say I look forward to working with each and every one of you. I look forward to becoming better each and every time I step into that ring. I said it since day one, my goal in this business is to feel like I belong, to have people look at me and consider me great, and NOTHING will stand in the way of that fight. NOTHING.
YUN GOEUN. HWAITING!"
Yun pumps her fist in victory as she shouts hwaiting into the camera.
