The head rises...the hood comes down...and we see Johnny Blayze with his short hair and stubble staring right at us.
Blayze: So the truth is out now, isn't it.
"Johnny Blayze…he ain't playin' with a full deck"... at least that's what they say. Well good for them cause maybe now they'll understand there *IS* life after hope.
But it's not what you expect. And it's certainly not what they preach about every Sunday in the stained glass clearinghouses from coast to coast.
Nobody EVER told me the truths -- I had to find them out for myself.
That we as a people can take SO much more pain than one could EVER think.
That we're built for this.
That it's almost like our purpose. Or maybe that we're vessels that exist JUST to be filled with pain.
Depressing as it sounds…it's the truth.
And once you ALL come to terms with it, it WILL change you like it's changed me. After everything is taken from you, like I've experienced many times over, you see that you still have control over SO much. Control over how you cope with misery. You sit there and you realize all the beautiful choices you still own.
Like whether to love or hate.
He smirks.
Blayze: Or forgive.
I can choose to forgive FGA for it's misgreivances towards me. Or I can choose to hate it for every ounce of it's being. Neither really matters though because in this life of ours…love, hate, and forgiveness are all attributed to those with a soul.
And I…
He raises the hood back over his head.
Blayze: Well I don't find it very hard to live without a soul.
And fade.
