[ What an interesting turn of events this is. It wasn't long ago that Pro-Wrestling FRONTIER and Frontier Grappling Arts were at each others throats this past Fall. Lines were drawn. Threats were made. One week, FRONTIER was invading an FGA show. The next week, several of FGA's finest flew across the pond and returned the favor by storming the ring. One of the men caught in the center of the storm was Chandler Scott, the then-FGA Heavyweight Champion. The bickering, the attacks and the invasions stopped at FRONTIER vs Frontier on November 3. It was on that event that the best from both promotions faced off against each other. But in the end, nothing was truly settled as each side won a total of three matches. But it's not about how you start, it's how you finish. FGA definitely didn't start off on the right foot. More like stumbled out of the gate and faced an uphill climb if they had any chance of saving face. But it was the end of the event that would leave a lasting impression. And that lasting image was seeing Chandler Scott rally his team to victory, capping off the evening for FGA. At the time, Chandler thought his dealings with FRONTIER were done and over with. Oh, if he only knew what was to come...
It's funny how things change. A couple of months ago, Chandler would be seen as the outsider if he ever stepped foot into another FRONTIER building. He, much like that vandal Kevin Hardaway, probably would have been cuffed on sight. But in just a short days time, Chandler could very well become the next GFC World Heavyweight Champion. Chandler initially declined FRONTIER's invitation for the GFC Invitational II back in October. Some called him a coward, trying his best to avoid a confrontation with the likes of Gabriel Gambino, Kevin Hardaway, CJ Osborne and the eventual winner, Ben Hanson. But Chandler doesn't jump whenever someone tells him to. He fights at his own pace. He does things on his own timetable. So Chandler waited for his opportunity to come. And when it came, he would strike.
Enter the Open House Battle Royal.
Chandler was sure of himself that he would win. And with the performance that he put forth in that match, it looked like the match would be his to win. But in a rare moment, things didn't go Chandler's way as he had to settle with being the Runner Up. But once Madman Szalinski turned down the title shot that came with winning the Battle Royal, the wheels were put into motion. Chandler sweet talked and did whatever he could to weasel himself into this title match. You could say he doesn't deserve it. You could say he didn't earn in. Bollocks, he says! The only thing that matters is that Chandler has the title match. And now it's time for him to do what he does best when the lights are bright, his name is up in the marquee and he's the center of attention – win
FRONTIER, welcome to the era of the Harvard Elite. Welcome to the era of Chandler Scott. Welcome.... to your next GFC World Heavyweight Champion. You're welcome ]

[ The camera fades open to a shot of the FRONTIER backdrop. No one can be seen or heard. Just the backdrop. Suddenly, the snapping of fingers can be heard off in the distance. The snaps then become louder as humming can be picked up by the camera. The humming gets louder, signally that someone is getting closer to the camera. Just then, someone singing offkey can be heard. ]
Guess who's back? Back again. Chandler's back. Tell a friend...
(And with that, Chandler Scott makes his way into the shot. Chandler is grinning from ear to ear, knowing full well that he probably shouldn't be in this GFC World Title Match. But regardless, he's taking the match, anyway. And if he has his way, he'll take that title, too.)
Chandler: It's me, it's me, it's the man you all want to be. Oh yes, yours truly is returning to the other side of the pond to add another piece of hardware to his résumé. It will be at the SkyDome show in Coventry, England where Chandler Scott will go one on one with Jay Pride for the GFC World Heavyweight Championship. But before I touch on the champ, allow me to address a couple of lingering issues...
Now I've heard all the gossip. I've heard all the smack that's been talked behind my back. I've seen the tweets! It seems as though there's a bit of outrage out there in FRONTIER land. It seems as if the people have taken issue with the fact that I'm being “handed” this GFC World Title Match. You have idiots like CJ Osborne crying their eyes out about how I don't deserve respect.... how I don't deserve this title shot... about how I'm an uninvited guest. First off, you're going to sit here and talk about what I deserve? You're in no position to talk about what I deserve! Let's talk about what you deserve. The only thing you people deserve is a firm backhand across your face. (Chandler raises the back of his hand to add emphasis). Second, who are you people to criticize me? Do you know who I am? Do you not know the worth of my last name? I'm Chandler Scott. I'm the man that put Frontier Grappling Arts on the map! I'm the man that made all the wrestling fans in the states forget about Pro-Wrestling FRONTIER! I'm the man who, in the midst of the FRONTIER vs Frontier war, pinned your then-GFC World Champion Gabriel Gambino in the middle of the ring! I'm the man that is universally regarded as the GREATEST FGA Champion in that company's history! Oh, and by the way, I just so happen to be a graduate of the greatest university in the world. And I'm damn sure not talking some school named Oxford.
(Chandler snickers over the cheap shot.)
Chandler: Uninvited guest? I'm anything but. I have the hand written invitation from your fearless General Manager, one Matt Montell. Now Mr. Montell – can I call you Matt? (Chandler smirks over his blatant sucking up to the GM) Now if Matt thought I was undeserving, if Matt thought I couldn't perform up to his standards, then this match wouldn't have been signed off on. If he thought I couldn't hack it, then I'd be in the opening match facing The Betamax Kid or someone like that. But Matt is no dummy. Not only is he intelligent, but he has great taste and knows how to manage his talent: Just see his public firing of Kevin Hardaway for proof that the man clearly knows what he's doing. Matt knows what he's getting with the Varsity Villain. He's reviewed my record. He's seen the accolades. And more importantly, he knows the talent that he's getting. Hence why I'm competing for the biggest prize in all of FRONTIER.
B-b-b-but Chandler, you didn't win the Open House Battle Royal. Madman Szalinski did.
(Chandler scoffs before rolling his eyes.)
Chandler: And to that I say, so what? You heard the man! He didn't want the title shot. And seeing as how not only was I the runner up but the man who also had the most impressive performance, then it's a no brainer for that title shot to be given to me. Hey, who are we to argue with Szalinski's wishes? If he wants to be magnanimous and give away his shot at the gold, then so be it. I will gladly taken that freebie. Now I'm by no means above starting from the bottom and beating each and every single one of you windowlickers on my way to the top. But at the same time, I'm not going to sit here and look a gift horse in the mouth. You don't have to be a Harvard graduate to take advantage of that opportunity. Why spend the next several months mucking around when I can leapfrog over everyone and be in one of the most enviable spots in the entire company? Seems pretty cut and dry to me. So to the very few of you that have actually shown me the respect that I deserve, I thank you. To everyone else like CJ Osborne out there crying themselves a river, there's two things you can do about me getting this “undeserved” title shot: nothing and like it.
(Chandler snickers)
Chandler: So once again, I'd like to thank Matt - can I call you Matt – for granting me this tremendous honor. Oh, and by the way... have I mentioned how dashing the long gray hair makes you look?
(Chandler gives a big Cheshire cat-like grin. He's really laying it on thick right now. And to be honest, he doesn't care. Chandler has no shame. If sucking up gets him into the good graces of the movers and shakers of FRONTIER, then so be it.)
Chandler: Now onto that little mouthbreather, Jay Pride...
(Chandler rolls his eyes at the mention of his name.)
Chandler: Jay Pride. The current GFC World Heavyweight Champion. The man that ended the reign of Gabriel Gambino. This must be a great time in your life. You worked so hard to get to this point. You sacrificed your personal life for success in your professional career. You turned down those nights out with friends for long study sessions in the training room. You turned down those get togethers for grueling sessions in the gym. And now look at you. You are the man. You have the GFC World Heavyweight Championship. You are on top of the world. Well, buddy, I hate to be the one to rain on your little parade. But you're not going to be looking forward to the upcoming forecast.
(Chandler smirks as he wags his index finger.)
Chandler: If you think the long road is over, then you are clearly mistaken. It has only just begun. You climbed the mountain. You outlasted everyone else. You got the big victory and now you think “that's it”. You've won the belt so now you think you've conquered everything. But that's where you're wrong. Because you've just gone from being the hunter to the hunted. Now is not the time to kick your feet up and get complacent. Now, more than ever, you've got to be on top of your game. Because now you have everyone, and I do mean everyone, gunning for the top spot that you currently occupy. Now you have people not even contracted to the same company as you gunning for your World Championship. Do you have what it takes? Do you have what it takes to fend of all challengers? Do you have what it takes to succeed with the weight of a company on your shoulders? I guess everyone else in FRONTIER will have to wait until the SkyDome show to find out. But I don't need to wait until then. I already know that you don't.
(Chandler snickers over his blatant disrespect of the champion.)
Chandler: But guess who does, Jay? Take a wild guess on who has what it takes? That's right, genius, you're looking right at him. I know what it takes. How? Because I've been there. I've been to the top and stayed there. I wasn't just one and done like you're about to be. Oh no. I lifted Frontier Grappling Arts onto my back and took it to new levels. I renewed interest in that company. I was the reason that FGA became the talk of the independent wrestling scene. I know what it's like to be the franchise, the backbone, the foundation of a company. I did it with one Frontier. Now, I'm about to do it again with another. I've already conquered the Frontier on the west side of the Atlantic. Now I'm about to be crowned the World Heavyweight Champion of this FRONTIER.
I was the leader of Frontier Grappling Arts when it went to war with FRONTIER. A war that you conveniently missed out on, by the way. Nice timing, chump. I'm sure that was completely by design on your end. While you were sitting at home on your couch doubting yourself and contemplating your future in this business, I was on the front lines wearing the FGA colors proud. Even your cohorts like Gambino and Osborne, just to name a few, actually fought for this company. While you were out being completely irrelevant, I was carrying FGA on my back while Gambino was doing the same thing here. But unlike you, who needed Kevin Hardaway to run interference, I beat Gambino in the middle of that ring.... on my own.... at the height of his reign as champion. How does that make you feel, champ? Does it make you feel like less of a man than me? Well it should, because that's what you are.
(Chandler cackles.)
Chandler: Now before you go running off at the mouth about how I'm overlooking you, just stop. No one is overlooking you. Do you see me acting as if this match is some forgone conclusion? Do you see me saying that I'm going to wipe the floor with you? Absolutely not. But I'm a realist, Jay. I tell things like it is. So if I said that you're a good athlete but I'm a great athlete.... that's not me putting you down or demeaning you. No, that's me telling it like it is. Because you are one hell of an athlete, Jay. I'm just that much better. And that little bit, Jay, that little bit is all I need to edge out a win and snatch that belt from you.
Call me spoiled, entitled, call me whatever you want. I know that I've been the recipient of a lot of advantages in life. I was born better than most of you. I was born into wealth. It was Father's money that got me the best clothes. It was Father's money that got me into Harvard. I've been handed wealth. I've been handed material items. I've even been handed this title shot. But what separates me from the rest of the trust fund babies is that I work to get what I want. And I will do whatever I have to do to get what I want. Trust me when I tell you, Jay, I'm not relying on Father's money to win that GFC World Heavyweight Championship. I'm relying on my God given talent to outwrestle you, outwork you and knock you out in the middle of that ring! I don't want that belt for vanity reasons. I want that belt to prove a point. I want that belt so that I can make history. And by beating you at the SkyDome show, I will become the only man in either Frontier to win both the FGA Heavyweight Championship.... and the GFC World Heavyweight Championship. But don't feel so bad, Jay. Turn that frown upside down! Just know that after this show, me and you will be linked for the rest of time. Cool, right? I mean sure, you will have been beaten in your first defense. Sure, you will have lost your title to a superior wrestler. Buuuuuuuuuuut, at least you'll go down in the history books with your name next to a real winner. See, it's not so bad.
(Chandler smirks as his arrogance is on full display.)
Chandler: SkyDome.... Coventry..... I can't wait. I'll see you then, champ. You just keep that belt nice and shiny for me. I want that gold to be glistening when I take my picture for the record books.
[ Chandler snickers as he walks out of view. The scene then fades to crimson. Fading to black is overrated, much like Jay Pride. ]
