[The camera opens up with a long view of Boston’s city skyline that stretches out to both sides, the atmosphere is clean and crisp as there is not even one patch of cotton cloud to decorate the sky. The sun beats down, breaking through the buildings lighting up half this particular rooftop and most of the great city. The camera then pans to show an unfamiliar face to the FGA fans, but the serious and focused look on this young man’s face show that he means business as he begins to speak with a strong English accent.]
“You know it has been almost two years since I have been on American soil and I can say without a doubt I have missed it. This place especially is a place that I can truly call my home away from home…”
[Xavier then faces the camera in a more front on and steady position becoming closer to the camera, as the shadow of buildings covers half of his face. He is wearing a plain black t-shirt with grey Quiksilver cargo shorts and black Nike ‘Satire’ skate shoes.]
“While growing up in London I was always told that I could never aspire to become a great professional wrestler and fill the boots of men like Johnny Saint, the British Bulldogs, Big Daddy or even my trainer and mentor the great Robert Mask. That was until I made it with the now defunct EAW during their tour of Europe and good enough to become a permanent member of their roster and travel with them back to the United States and then becoming their longest reigning Television champion.”
[Xavier then turns side on placing his hands on his hips pushing his chest out a little, showing off a bit so the camera can see his brash and cocky attitude through his body language as he pauses for a moment holding the “Man of Steel” like pose while staring into the distance.]
“That was one of many glass ceilings that no-one said I could break before I shattered it proving everyone wrong and making them put their feet in their mouth. And you know what? Only one man who was well established in that fed saw me for my true talent and that one man soon became a close friend and former tag team partner who most of you already know, Sean Sands.
During my time in the EAW Sean and I traveled up and down the road together even though we had a bit of a sibling rivalry of trying to outdo one another, but as the EAW folded we went our separate ways. Sean stayed in America where as I wanted to expand to bigger and better things, to establish my name across the globe as the future of the sport and the next level in wrestling world.”
[Xavier begins to slowly walk around the rooftop in a circle as lanky shadow of him follows; the camera follows Xavier as well with his eyes locked on the camera’s lens.]
“Japan was a huge step in my career, different language, culture and most importantly wrestling style. I’ll be honest and say that I got my ass kicked night after night while still relatively new to the wrestling scene until something inside me triggered a no fear and never back down attitude as I overcome great odds and defeated the six foot four Takuma Sato and made my mark in Japan. This led me to new heights, I became a finalist in their ninth annual Chojin Crown tournament, and I even defeated four former world champions. I was on a roll until an injury stopped my momentum short of gaining gold.”
[Xavier stops walking to look down at his ankle which is still heavily bandaged as we can see it covering the lower half of his left leg as the camera focuses on foot then slowly rises back up to Xavier with a disappointed look on his face.]
“An Achilles tendon rupture crushed my dreams, and now I have been out of action for three months and itching to get back inside that squared circle and continue to prove everyone wrong. By now you should be able to determine whether or not I am just full of shit with a chip on my shoulder or that I what I say is true and I will stop at nothing to prove myself to the world. And now that I have signed with the Frontier Grappling Arts I can do just that.”
[Xavier then returns back to his upright and steady position becoming closer to the camera once again, as this time the shadow of the buildings covers his whole face and most of his body.]
“In just four days I return to the ring against a man who some people like and some people hate, because of his narcissistic and show pony like persona. Now I’m not stupid I have seen and heard everything that Johnny has said about me in the last couple of days and I can tell you now Johnny you don’t scare me or even intimidate me in the slightest. You brag about beating PGJR and now having two solid wins under your belt, is that really all you have got to put doubt in my mind? I mean pretending you can’t remember my name and calling me ‘Christopher McDaniels’ or whatever it was is supposed to get inside my head?”
“So Johnny in four days as you and I stand across the ring from one another in White Plains, New York. Remember that I will be coming fully loaded and not half cocked as you seem to be and as that bell rings don’t be surprised when you’re flat on your back staring at the ceiling. Because I know you have never faced anyone with a burning desire quiet as strong as mine and in four days Johnny your show pony and all-for-the-fame like attitude will be finished as I gain my first win in the Frontier Grappling Arts propelling myself as a true member of the roster and pushing you back down the ladder where you belong. My name is Xavier Daniels the ‘Next Level’.”
[Xavier Daniels then does his signature face grab taunt as the camera then fades to black.]
End.
