Our camera pans around the BB&T Pavilion. A modified version of FGA’s entrance setup is on the stage, with the large video tron up high. There is a platform ramp that connects the stage to one of the apron to the ring. Despite the closed set, there are a small number of “fans” at ringside and father back in the seats. Making up the “fans” are members of the ring crew, along with some wrestlers in the crowd. Some of the wrestlers are local talent. Some you’ve seen before. Others are unfamiliar to the FGA audience. We finally switch over to the ring, as the United States Open Challenge is about to get underway.
The lights in the arena fade to a rose-gold color as the familiar sound of smooth jazz echoes throughout the building. “Young Nation” hits the PA system and the audience in attendance pops. Sadie San Francisco steps out to the top of the ramp, looking toward the nearest camera with a smirk, turning her gaze toward the United States Championship on her shoulder.
Stephy Auger: Look! LOOK how smug she is!
Kris Cruise: Stephy, please. She just got here.
Sadie makes her way down the ramp, clutching the title tightly as she walks toward the bottom of the ramp.
J.A. Aldridge: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome your FGA United States Champion… Sadie San FRAAAAANCISCO!
Nodding a bit to herself, Sadie strides around to the side of the ring facing the hard camera. She climbs onto the apron, narrowing her eyes at the camera as it pans closer to her, capturing only a quick glance from Sadie before her eyes return to the faceplate of the United States Title. She turns, stepping through the bottom and middle ropes to enter the ring.
Stephy Auger: Even the way she gets in the ring is snobbier! She should be ashamed. She should be ashamed of how she won that United States Championship and she should be ashamed of how she’s gawking at it; ogling it. She didn’t earn it and everyone knows it!
Kris Cruise: You’re really upset by all this, aren’t you? Like-- this really affects you.
Stephy Auger: I’m
livid.
Sadie stands in the center of the ring, slowly raising the FGA United States Championship above her head, gazing up at it with a broad smile. The lights in the BB&T Pavilion seem to focus brilliantly on the championship. Finally, Sadie lowers it, gaze locked on the title for a few more seconds before she slides it onto her shoulder. She walks to the ropes, holding a hand out to accept a microphone from the timekeeper as the music fades.
Sadie San Francisco: ...I love the way this looks.
The camera operator stands on the apron, zooming in on the faceplate of the title, revealing very faint and faded-- but recognizable-- red dye, stained across the word “UNITED”, dripping down to the bottom of the gold. Many members of the audience “WOO!” and applaud for Sadie, though there are a couple of muffled groans of disapproval.
Sadie San Francisco: I don’t want to skirt around any issues here. I know what Nina Stokes has been saying for the past four and a half months. When the time came for one of us to live up to our promises at Grapple Kingdom, with the U.S. Title hanging in the balance, only one of us was gonna be able to follow through. Nina promised that she was going to… bust my head open to the white meat, I think. That-- that is what she said, right?
Some members of the audience shout “yes!”, their voices ringing clearly through the scattered, limited attendance. Sadie merely shrugs though..
Sadie San Francisco: And my promise was way more simple, concise, and to the point.
She smiles softly, glancing down at the title for a moment, tapping the microphone against it for emphasis. Sadie, for her next statement, looks directly into the camera.
Sadie San Francisco: Hm. Guess who kept their promise.
Once more, this rattles some members of the audience, but it earns a pop from some others. Sadie’s lips part into a small, knowing smile but she wipes it away, returning to a semi-serious nature as she continues.
Sadie San Francisco: I get it though. Sometimes when you go out there and lay it all on the line, but your opponent is still a step ahead of you, you get a little choked up-- you get a little emotional. So I understand why Nina is saying these crazy, angry things right now… because when you find yourself
at the back of the line, you tend to lash out or scream out in anger. I’ve been there. For so long.
Sadie seems to hug the title closer to herself as she continues.
Sadie San Francisco: But I figured out that no matter how mad you are, life goes on.
Without you, Nina.
The champion’s gaze lingers on the camera for a moment, stoic, save for the slightest twitch of her lips-- and she brings the mic to her lips, continuing.
Sadie San Francisco: You hurt me at Grapple Kingdom. You did everything you possibly could to make sure that I didn’t walk out of there with your-- with
this-- United States Title. You picked me apart and you demonstrated, in front of the last paying crowd we’ve seen,
why you’re one of the most lethal stars in this company. For a few minutes, I was convinced that you were just making an example out of me. I was-- I was almost broken.
Sadie’s thoughts race. She closes her eyes for a moment, calling back to the match at Grapple Kingdom III and many members of the audience whoop and applaud, filling the silence.
Sadie San Francisco: ...but then I found out how strong I actually was.
She opens her eyes, smirking slightly toward the camera.
Sadie San Francisco: And I know-- you call it “cheating”, Nina, and that’s a really strong word. I feel like it’s an easy thing to say when you didn’t think of it first. I think it’s an easy thing to say when it happens to
you. But let’s not pretend that you didn’t know who you were fighting. Let’s not pretend that I haven’t been using the same tactics for
four years.
Sadie runs her free hand down the faceplate of the U.S. Title again, her finger trailing the dye-- the stained red mist.
Sadie San Francisco: I studied you. I prepared for you. I had an answer for
anything you were ready to throw at me. Know why? Because I paid attention. Because I had enough
respect to know that I had to be willing to dig DEEPER than I ever have in the past four years if I wanted to beat you-- if I wanted to
survive you. I knew what you were capable of. When you said you were gonna maim me in that ring, I knew you could. I knew it. So--
Sadie inhales sharply.
Sadie San Francisco: So for you to get mad at
me and the
officials for how you lost that match is ridiculous. You should be mad at yourself, Nina, because while you were so worried about your own ego being trampled on, you didn’t take the time to find out what I was about. You didn’t have enough respect to FULLY prepare yourself for me and THAT is why you lost. You
lost because of
you. And now I have this. And unlike you, I know how to protect it.
The crowd grows quite loud at this proclamation. Most cheer, agreeing with the champion-- but the boos are prominent.
Sadie San Francisco: And I think that’s about all the time we owe to somebody that finds themself
firmly at the bottom of the contender’s list.
The mixed reaction grows steadily louder, and the champion grows steadily louder, talking over them, turning her attention to the ramp.
Sadie San Francisco: So let’s talk about this Open Challenge and what that means.
Sadie takes the title from her shoulder, shifting it into the grip of her free hand instead.
Sadie San Francisco: If you’re back there and your name is
not Nina Stokes, then I invite you to come out here at any ti--
As Sadie is issuing her challenge to those in the back, she is cut off by a familiar song. “No Regrets” by the Sohodolls. Months have gone by since this song was last heard and since the appearance of Jaelynn Ramsey.
Kris Cruise: There she is. This is not an error from the sound guy.
Stephy Auger: What’s Jaelynn doing here?!
Kris Cruise: She’s no Nina Stokes, so what do you think?
The blonde Utahn is received with boos and gasps from those that have not forgotten her. She makes her way down the ramp with a microphone in hand donning a pair of skinny jeans, a neon green top and a leather jacket to top it all. She enters the ring, keeping her gaze on Sadie. As soon as the music fades, she raises the microphone to her lips to address the United States Champion.
Jaelynn Ramsey: Hello, Sadie. Isn’t it nice to see you here gushing over your victory. Defeating Nina Stokes isn’t something you just dismiss and make nothing of. Congratulations, champ!
There’s a mix of reactions as some of Sadie’s loyal fans cheer in agreement, while others boo in protest of Sadie’s actions. Jaelynn looks at the fans from side to side before continuing.
Jaelynn Ramsey: Now you would know that I wouldn’t make my way to New Jersey during these times simply to congratulate you when a tweet or email would suffice. So, let’s get to it...you’ve issued a challenge, and I’m not one to refuse any opportunity to hurt you. Makes sense, right?
A smirk escapes Jaelynn as she lowers the mic to give Sadie a chance to respond. Sadie rolls her own microphone around in her hand for a moment, apparently unprepared for Jaelynn’s arrival. Sadie looks down, shaking her head for a moment before looking back up at Ramsey, eyes narrowed.
Sadie San Francisco: How many times do we have to do this before you learn…
Sadie cuts herself off, taking a breath. She turns, pacing the ring for a moment before looking up at Jaelynn and sighing loudly.
Sadie San Francisco: I shouldn’t even be surprised. Here I am, back on top, and here you come running, ready to leech whatever light-- whatever clout you can. Why didn’t I expect this sooner, right?
Jaelynn Ramsey: Clout? Don’t flatter yourself, Sadie. Despite my absence, the same company you work for did not close its doors on me, and that doesn't seem to sit well with you? Hmph.
Ramsey pauses briefly to study Sadie and her demeanor
Jaelynn Ramsey: You looked so confident and dare I say radiant until the moment you heard my theme song play throughout the arena. What happened? Was it the sheer disappointment of not seeing Nando or the local talent coming down to accept your challenge? Today is not that day and one thing you should know about issuing these challenges is that you should be prepared for anyone and anything.
This earns an
“OOOOHHH…” from members of the audience. Sadie scratches the tip of her nose, distracting herself for a few seconds as she searches for a response.
Sadie San Francisco: You’re right.
The champion huffs a little and shakes her head.
Sadie San Francisco: You’re right. You’re
obsessed with me and clearly you were gonna jump at the chance to get in my business. Smart of you to wait until a title opportunity fell into your lap-- but not at my expense, Jae.
Sadie’s eyes drift toward ringside as a referee makes his way to ringside, then back to Ramsey. Sadie clenches her jaw, silent for a few moments before continuing in a lower voice.
Sadie San Francisco: You thought you were gonna come out here and catch me off guard. And it almost worked. But you will
always be who you are... and I’m gonna embarrass you.
Jaelynn Ramsey: So much for absence making the heart grow fonder...No, no, it’ll never be that way and this encounter is indicative of that. Instead, I’ll continue being me. Time apart can lead to one changing, yet I’m still a nightmare to you. And today’s visit confirms I wouldn’t have it any other way.
And with that, Jae drops the mic, allowing it to roll away from her. A production assistant is quick to remove it to clear the ring as the referee arrives.
Kris Cruise: These two have been bitter rivals for the longest. The feud between these two dates all the way back to their battles over the Mid-Atlantic Legacy Championship over two years ago!
Stephy Auger: Well, a new chapter gets written tonight and in the end, it’ll be Jaelynn that emerges victorious.
Kris Cruise: The referee is ready. Both Jaelynn and Sadie have signaled that they’re ready! Here we go!
UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP
(c) Sadie San Francisco vs. Jaelynn Ramsey
The bell sounds as San Francisco and Ramsey face off in the center of the ring. Two continue to have words for each other until Ramsey pushes San Francisco back. The Pope regains her footing after a coming of steps before moving forward and piefacing her challenger!
“OOOOOOHHH!”
Ramsey rushes back over and locks up with San Francisco. After jockeying for position, it’s Ramsey that gains the advantage. Ramsey is able to move the champion across the ring and into the corner. With both grapplers tied up in the corner, the official is quick to rush over and start a five count.
Ref: ONE… TWO…
Ramsey slowly breaks the count before cheap shotting Sadie with a back elbow strike!
Kris Cruise: Oh come on!
Stephy Auger: Protect yourself at all times, Cruise! It’s not Jaelynn’s fault that Sadie didn’t keep her hands up!
The boos continue when Sadie gets doubled over with a throat thrust. Ramsey starts to unload with clubbing strikes across the back. With Sadie still doubled over, Ramsey takes her and chokes her across the middle rope by pressing down across the back of her neck!
Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR…
Sadie crumbles to the mat as Jaelynn releases the choke. Ramsey keeps on top of San Francisco with multiple stomps to the body. The boos grow louder as Ramsey continues to lay in the boots. She then drops down to her knees before grabbing Sadie by the throat to choke her.
Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR…
Jaelynn breaks the choke. She keeps her arms in the air while slowly getting back to her feet. Ramsey starts to step away from San Francisco… only to rush back over and apply a foot choke while pulling up on the bottom rope.
Kris Cruise: Come on, ref!
Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR… FIV-
Ramsey reluctantly breaks the choke.
Kris Cruise: Jaelynn has been trying to choke out Sadie every chance she gets.
Stephy Auger: I’m sure Nina Stokes isn’t complaining.
Kris Cruise: I’m sure Nina would rather be the one in there trying to choke Sadie out.
Stephy Auger: True.
The official is quick to reprimand Ramsey over pushing her luck with the choke. But the challenger pays him no mind as she pulls Sadie back up by the hair. After slamming the champion face-first into the top turnbuckle, Ramsey turns Sadie around before delivering a knife edge chop. A second chop connects before Sadie’s whipped into the far corner. Ramsey then comes running across the ring to attack until a boot to the face turns her around. Ramsey staggers back towards the center of the ring. After shaking off the blow, she turns back around and rushes back in to attack. This time, San Francisco knocks her back with a back elbow to the face. Ramsey shakes off the blow before rushing back in. She motions for a strike until The Pope ducks and dumps her over the top rope. Ramsey lands safely on the apron before San Francisco knocks her off with a spinning backfist!
Kris Cruise: Oh! Sadie got all of that one!
Ramsey gets up to a knee on the outside before checking to see if she’s bleeding from the mouth. While Ramsey starts to stand back up, San Francisco takes off into the far ropes. The champion comes back across the ring before leaping through the ropes and knocking Ramsey down with a suicide dive. The Pope pulls Ramsey back up before rolling back inside. Sadie takes off into the far ropes, comes back and knocks Ramsey back down with a second suicide dive! Ramsey gets pulled back up by the hair before San Francisco heads back inside. Sadie hits the far ropes, charges back across the ring and knocks her into the guardrail with a third suicide dive!
Kris Cruise: A trio of dives from The Pope!
Stephy Auger: One dive was enough! How many times did Sadie have to dive on her?
Kris Cruise: How many times did Jaelynn have to choke her?
Stephy Auger: ...
Sadie pulls Jaelynn up off the floor before throwing her down across the guardrail with a reverse suplex! While Ramsey hangs over the guardrail, San Francisco backs up down ringside. She lines her challenger up before running back over and knocking her off the guardrail with a bicycle kick to the side of the head! Sadie yanks Jaelynn up off the floor, slams her face-first onto the apron and pushes her back inside. She then rolls back into the ring, drags Jae away from the ropes and makes the cover.

Ramsey is moved into the corner before San Francisco fires off multiple forearm strikes. After Ramsey is whipped into the far corner, The Pope charges across the ring. Ramsey is able to counter by dumping Sadie over the top rope. But when Ramsey turns around, Sadie catches her with a rope-assisted gamengiri! While Ramsey stumbles back, San Francisco starts to climb the turnbuckles. As soon as The Pope climbs up to the top turnbuckle, Ramsey dives over and yanks down the top rope. The crowd boos when Sadie slips and ends up crotched on the top turnbuckle. The boos continue as Ramsey heads into the corner before climbing up to the middle ropes. She fires off multiple right hands before trying for a superplex. San Francisco blocks the move. Ramsey then tries to muscle San Francisco up for another superplex. Again, she gets blocked. So Ramsey lets go to nail Sadie with another throat thrust. After San Francisco gets caught with an elbow strike, Ramsey climbs up onto the top ropes.
Kris Cruise: This is unsafe territory...
Ramsey pulls San Francisco up to the top turnbuckle before throwing her down with a superplex! She turns over and makes the cover.
Stephy Auger: YES! We’re about to have a new champion...

San Francisco gets her shoulder up.
Sadie gets pulled off the mat before being doubled over with multiple knees to the midsection. Ramsey then hits the far ropes, comes back and knocks her down with a Scissors Kick! Instead of going for the cover, Ramsey decides to lock Sadie in a Cross Legged STF!
Stephy Auger: Our Lady of Sorrows!
Kris Cruise: Jaelynn’s adding insult to injury here! She’s locking Sadie in her own move!
Stephy Auger: And she’s doing it better, too!
Kris Cruise: Stop it.
San Francisco groans as Ramsey pulls back on the hold. The referee gets down and asks Sade if she wants to give up. The Pope refuses. She reaches up with her free arm and tries to pull Ramsey’s arm from around her neck. But it’s to no avail. Ramsey continues to fight for the submission as pulls back on the hold over and over.
Stephy Auger: Sadie’s stuck in the middle of the ring. Even the crowd can’t help her now. Half of them were booing her just before the start of this match! HA!
Kris Cruise: Some may not have agreed with Sadie’s demeanor. But one thing is for sure. No one here wants to see Jaelynn walk out of here the new United States Champion!
Stephy Auger: I can think of one person.
Kris Cruise: Who?
Stephy Auger: ME!
Kris Cruise: …
Sadie reaches out for the ropes. But she’s not there. So she reaches her free arm forward, puts it on the mat and struggles to drag herself forward. The champion groans as she reaches out and slowly drags herself forward again. Ramsey hangs on for dear life. She keeps the hold locked on as tight as possible. But Sadie continues to slowly pull herself forward. Ramsey yells at her to tap. But The Pope won’t give her the satisfaction. The crowd is now solidly behind Sadie as she gets closer and closer to the ropes! San Francisco slowly drags herself forward before reaching out… and grabbing the bottom rope! The call for the rope break is met with cheers. But those same cheers are replaced with boos when Ramsey refuses to break the hold.
Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR…
Ramsey reluctantly breaks the hold. She yanks San Francisco up, marches into the corner and slams her face-first into the top turnbuckle. After turning Sadie around, Jaelynn sends Sadie slumping down in the corner with a barrage of elbow strikes. From there, Ramsey stomps away at San Francisco’s chest until the official has to step in and move her back.
Stephy Auger: Look at this official stepping in to help Sadie. He should be fired!
Ramsey nudges the official out of her way before marching back over into the corner. She drags Sadie back towards the center of the ring. Jaelynn attempts a figure four until Sadie reaches up and reverses into a small package!

After both grapplers scramble back to their feet, Ramsey quickly gains control of San Francisco’s wrist. She then throws out another short-arm clothesline. This time, Sadie ducks before immediately knocking her down with a Northern Lariat! Ramsey is then pulled up to her feet by the back of the tights before being thrown down with a German Suplex! Sadie pulls Jae back up, brings her down with a Downward Spiral and immediately spins over into a front facelock. From there, Sadie downs to town with sharp elbows strikes to the back of the head and neck! San Francisco slowly pulls Ramsey up off the mat before throwing her down with a release vertical suplex! She then pulls Ramsey up to a seated position before hitting the ropes, coming back and flattening her with a bicycle kick to the face! She makes the cover.

Kris Cruise: Sadie only got a two count, but she’s got control back of this match!
San Francisco pulls Ramsey back to her feet before doubling her over with a boot to the midsection. The Pope then takes a few steps back before rushing forward and going for a Fame Asser. Ramsey slips out of the way, grabs Sadie from behind and throws her shoulder-first into the ring post!
Stephy Auger: You were saying something about Sadie having control of the match?
San Francisco slowly steps away from the corner. As soon as she turns around, Ramsey catches her with a superkick, knocking her through the ropes and to the floor. Ramsey sets up shop on the far side of the ring while she waits for San Francisco to get back to her feet. As Sadie starts to pick herself up on the outside, Ramsey runs across the ring before leaping her through the ropes and knocking her into the guardrail with the Jagerbomb (suicide dive)! Ramsey rolls back into the ring, hits the far ropes, comes back and knocks her down with another Jagerbomb! Jae slips back in underneath the bottom rope and circles the ring with her arms spread out to her sides.
“BOOOOOOO!”
Stephy Auger: Listen to these ingrates! I’d expect nothing less from New Jersey trash.
Ramsey looks out and sees San Francisco struggling to pick herself back up off the floor. So she hits the far ropes once again. Ramsey picks up speed as she runs back across the ring. Ramsey leaps through the ropes for a third Jaegerbomb, only to get countered with a snap powerslam to the floor!
Stephy Auger: GAH!
Kris Cruise: Jae went to the well one too many times and she paid for it dearly!
Sadie pulls Jaelynn up before rolling her back inside. She then rolls back in to make the cover.

After a spinning back elbow catches Ramsey right in the face, The Pope follows up with a bicycle knee that snaps Ramsey’s head back! Ramsey then collapses into San Francisco. Sadie does a double take when Ramsey gets her shoulder up just in time.
Kris Cruise: How was that not a three count!?
San Francisco gets up and argues with the referee that she got a three count. But the official stands his ground and lets her know that it was only two. The usual calm, cool and collected champion slowly runs her fingers down her face in frustration.
Stephy Auger: HA! She can’t believe it! Maybe she’ll get desperate and spit that nasty fist again like she did against Nina Stokes!
Sadie then heads out to the apron before making her way towards the ring post. She wastes no time climbing the turnbuckles. Once Sadie has scaled to the top, she leaps off for a diving knee drop… and misses when Ramsey rolls out of the way.
Kris Cruise: Oh no!
The crowd gasps after the miss. Sadie howls out in pain as she immediately hugs her left knee.
Kris Cruise: This isn’t good, Stephy!
Stephy Auger: They don’t call it high risk for nothing, you know.
Ramsey gets to her feet before marching over to put the boots to Sadie. She then lifts up Sadie’s left leg before delivering three elbow drops across it. Ramsey lifts up the leg once more before applying a figure four leglock!
Stephy Auger: There you go, Jaelynn! Make her tap! Make her tap right in the middle of the ring!
San Francisco immediately tries to turn over to reverse the pressure. But Ramsey is right there to turn back in the opposite direction to stuff the reversal! The champion continues to howl out in pain as Ramsey repeatedly drops onto her back. The referee asks her if she wants to give up. The crowd gasps when Sadie lifts her hand up. Instead of signaling to give up, she wags her finger at the official.
Kris Cruise: Sadie wants to hang on!
Ramsey sits back up and starts to taunt San Francisco. Sadie reaches over to grab Jaelynn. But Jae is quick enough to lean back. She then quickly leans forward and slaps Sadie across the face!
Stephy Auger: Good! Slap her again, Jae! Slap the tasty right out of her mouth!
The boos grow louder when she slaps Sadie again! Jaelynn goes for a third slap when Sadie reaches up and grabs her by the wrist! San Francisco then takes her other hand, grabs onto Ramsey’s middle & ring fingers and bends them back! Ramsey cries out in pain before breaking the figure four. San Francisco keeps hold of Ramsey’s fingers as she gets back to her feet. Sadie then places Ramsey’s hand down on the mat before delivering a jumping stomp!
Kris Cruise: Oh my!
Stephy Auger: More dirty tactics from Sadie San Francisco!
Ramsey remains on her knees until San Francisco rushes forward and flattens her with another bicycle knee! Instead of going for the cover, she pulls Ramsey up off the mat before moving her into the corner. Sadie lifts Jaelynn up to the top turnbuckle before carefully climbing the ropes. Once she scales to the top, she hops up onto Jaelynn’s shoulders. Instead of hitting a super frankensteiner, Jaelynn counters with a powerbomb!
Kris Cruise: Oh no!
Stephy Auger: YES! YES YES YES!
San Francisco slowly rolls away from the corner. Ramsey continues to recover before slowly standing up on the top turnbuckle. She then turns to face away from the ring before flipping off and landing right across San Francisco with Down by the Jae (Moonsault)! She hooks the leg…

Frustrated, Ramsey yanks Sadie up by the hair and goozles her with a two handed choke! Ramsey continues to try and choke Sadie out until Sadie counters with a bell clap to the ears! After a gamengiri catches Ramsey in the side of the temple, Sadie sets up for an Exploder Suplex. She’s about to lift Jaelynn when Jaelynn counters with elbows to the side of the head. She then turns and motions towards the far ropes when Sadie reaches for, grabs her by the back of the tights and yanks her back over towards her. Sadie hooks both of Jae’s arms from behind and starts to slowly turn her into position for Vanity (Inverted Double Underhook Facebuster aka the Unprettier)! Before Sadie can hit the move, Jaelynn slips out from behind and pushes her into the ropes. She goes to catch Sadie off the rebound with a superkick when Sadie catches her foot. The crowd cheers as “Young Nation” blasts over the PA!
J.A. Aldridge: Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of this contest… aaaaaand STILLLLLL the FGA United States Champion, SADIE SAN FRANCISCO!
The cheers continue as Sadie raises the United States Title over her head.
Kris Cruise: Sadie San Francisco successfully dispatches her first of what may become many challenger in her US Open Challenge. Jaelynn Ramsey pushed Sadie like she always does. But Sadie was with able to withstand the moonsault off the top before bringing her down with Vanity.
Stephy Auger: Jaelynn should be champion right now! This is an outrage!
Kris Cruise: Like I said, Jaelynn gave Sadie a hell of a fight. But she lost, so now she has to go to the back of the line.
Stephy Auger: Speaking of “the back of the line,” did you hear how that coward talked about Nina Stokes? She’s lucky to have made it out of that match with her head attached, let alone leaving with the US Title. She doesn’t know how to win with grace. She keeps flaunting her victory in Nina’s face. It’s like the old saying goes, Cruise. You don’t poke the bear! If Sadie keeps this up, she’s going to get mauled, hopefully sooner than later, by The Kodiak!
Kris Cruise: Well that remains to be seen. Speaking of Nina Stokes, she will be in action later on tonight when she takes on Ashlyn De Luca! These are two of FGA’s top talents. Neither have exactly endeared themselves to the face, especially Ashlyn over the past year. I’m looking forward to a hell of a match. But I know the crowd in attendance are looking forward to these two ripping each other apart!
Stephy Auger: Of course they’d want to see Nina and Ashlyn tear each other limb from limb. They don’t know how to appreciate greatness! They’d rather cheer the likes of Neal Durden and Lowerence Moss!
Kris Cruise: Speaking of Pendragon, they will be defending their World Tag Team Titles in our main event against World Champion Fujiko Mine and the International Champion, Cordy Stevenson! It’s been years since you could say that Fujiko or Cordy pulled off an upset. But that’s exactly what they did on the last episode of Vertigo by beating Pendragon in non-title action. Tonight, the titles are on the line! I know Pendragon was looking forward to mixing it up with the Hellcat Spangled Death Squad and Silk & Cyanide. But if they lose again here tonight, that Triple Threat Rag Match will not be for the World Tag Team Titles! What a predicament that would be.
Stephy Auger: It sure would suck for the Hellcats. But at least Silk & Cyanide would still have their US Tag Titles!
Kris Cruise: Well that remains to be seen, Stephy. Later on tonight, we will also see Erin Mariani and Sara Mason defending their US Tag Titles against the Hellcats, Lisa Seldon and Ana Hayden!
Stephy Auger: I can’t believe management is forcing them to defend their Tag Titles here tonight. Silk & Cyanide have been disrespected for the better part of a year and this is just another instance of the injustice against them!
Kris Cruise: Injustice? They’re the tag champions for crying out loud! They have to defend those titles, whether they like it or not. If they didn’t want to face the Hellcats, then they should not have stuck their nose in business it didn’t belong way back at Grapple Kingdom Three! But they let their ego get the better of them and now, they have to face whatever consequences come their way later on tonight! But those aren't the only championship matches on the card. Also on tap, we’ve got Ace Voltage defending his Mid-Atlantic Legacy Championship against Nando Fresno: Alien Hunter!
Stephy Auger: Every now and again, that little runt squeaks out an upset. He did it against Seth Iser. He did it against Silk & Cyanide and last show, he did it against Ace Voltage. But trust me, Voltage is going to run away with this one.
Kris Cruise: That remains to be seen. We’ve got all that and much more tonight here on Vertigo. Stay tuned! We’ll be right back after this short break...
