Sadie San Francisco vs. Kendall Kingham

The match starts with both Kingham and San Francisco shaking hands to start off the match. But The Pope isn’t quick to let go of Kingham’s hand. She eventually lets go before locking up. They both jockey for position until Kingham gains the advantage with a side headlock. She then quickly performs a standing switch and transitions into a hammerlock from behind. After turning San Francisco towards her, Kingham goes to bring her down with a single arm DDT. But San Francisco is able to slip out in time. The two circle the ring before locking up again. This time, Kingham muscles San Francisco into the corner. After a clean break is made, Kingham delivers a knife edge chop. The Pope then takes Kingham, switches positions and nails Kingham with a knife edge chop of her own. After Kingham is whipped into the far corner, San Francisco rushes across the ring to attack when Kingham cuts her off with a boot to the face. Kingham delivers a European Uppercut before switching positions and delivering another knife edge chop. The Pope then quickly takes Kingham, switches positions in the corner and lights her up with knife edge chops to the chest and face. A knife edge chops to the throat doubles Kingham over. From there, The Pope places Kingham in a front facelock before delivering sharp elbows to the back of the head and neck. The last strike drops Kingham down to a knee. San Francisco then drops down and wrestles Kingham flat to the mat with a front facelock before delivering more sharp elbows to the head and neck. While San Francisco takes off into the far ropes, Kingham tries to get up to her feet. But San Francisco knocks her through the ropes and to the floor with a bicycle kick to the side of the head! Kingham then gets tackled down on the outside with a suicide dive through the ropes! San Francisco brings the action back inside and makes the cover. But Kingham gets her shoulder up at two.

As the match continues, San Francisco goes to work on the arm. She wrenches it multiple time before Kingham rolls forward, leans back, kips up and reverses into an arm wrench of her own. The Pope quickly reaches over, reverses into another arm wrench and throws out a spinning backfist. But Kingham blocks and counters with a three quarter facelock russian leg sweep for a two count. After an armbar is applied, San Francisco battles back to her feet and moves Kingham into the near ropes before shoving her off into the far ropes. When Kingham returns, San Francisco knocks her down with a spinning back elbow. She then executes a headscissors into an armbar. The Pope fights for the submission. But Kingham is ultimately able to maneuver herself so that she gets her foot on the bottom rope, forcing a rope break. San Francisco reluctantly breaks the hold once the ref’s count reaches four. San Francisco once again attacks the arm with multiple arm wrenches until she follows up with a wristlock into an inverted foot stomp, knocking Kingham into the ropes. While Kingham tries to shake out the cobwebs, The Pope rushes over and clocks her with a bicycle knee strike, causing Kingham to slump down against the ropes. San Francisco hits the far ropes, returns and places Kingham in Alcatraz (tiger feint crucifix armbar). San Francisco fights for the submission. But it's an illegal hold, due to both grapplers being tied up in the ropes. So the official gives her until the count of five to break it up. This time, San Francisco breaks the submission just after the ref’s count reaches four.

The Pope reluctantly breaks the hold before bringing Kingham out to the apron. She lifts Kingham up before bringing her down with a back suplex across the apron. While Kingham tries to pick herself up on the floor, San Francisco takes off into the far ropes, comes back, leaps through the ropes and takes out Kingham with another suicide dive! Kingam tries to get back to a vertical base as The Pope hits the far ropes once more. Sadie bounces back and picks up speed before leaping through the ropes for another suicide dive, only for Kingham to leap out of the way, causing San Francisco to crash to the floor! Kingham then goes after San Francisco’s arm by bringing her down with a single arm DDT on the padded floor! Kingham brings the action back into the ring and brings San Francisco back down with a double knee armbreaker! She then brings San Francisco back down with a hammerlock back suplex before making the cover. ONE! TWO! San Francisco gets her good shoulder up.

Kingham takes The Pope and moves her into the corner. After sitting her down on the top turnbuckle facing away from the ring, Kingham climbs up to the middle ropes and tries to go for an avalanche hammerlock back suplex. But San Francisco is able to counter with back elbows to the face using her free arm. The last elbow shot knocks Kingham off the ropes and sends her to the floor. While Kingham tries to crawl across the canvas, San Francisco stands up, turns around, leaps off and flattens Kingham with a diving knee drop! Instead of making the cover, San Francisco places Kingham in a Fujiwara Armbar! Kingham howls in pain while San Francisco pulls back on the arm. The official asks Kingham if she wants to give up. But Kingham refuses. So The Pope repeatedly yanks back on the arm. She continues to try and get Kingham to tap out. But Kingham continues to hang on. Kingham refuses multiple opportunity to tap out while she struggles to pull herself across the ring with her free arm. The capacity crowd is solidly in support of both grapplers. Kingham continues scratch and pull herself towards the side of the ring. She reaches out… and grabs the bottom rope! But San Francisco refuses to let go. So the official gives her until a count of five to break the hold. ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FI-

San Francisco breaks the hold, rolls across Kingham’s back and grabs her by the ankle before dragging her back towards the center of the ring. She drops down and places Kingham in another Fujiwara Armbar! The Pope places her feet flat on the mat while she bridges back and pulls back the arm. Kingham continues to howl in agony while the ref asks her if she wants to quit. Kingham is tempted. She raises her arm. She starts to lower it, then stops. Kingham waves off the official. San Francisco continues to fight for the submission. But she ultimately becomes frustrated when it’s clear that Kingham won’t tap out. So The Pope pulls Kingham back to her feet before driving her down with a Fameasser! She makes the cover. ONE! TWO! T-NO! Kingham gets her good shoulder up.

San Francisco pulls Kingham back to her feet and doubles her over with a hard knee to the midsection before hitting the ropes, When San Francisco returns, she throws out a bicycle knee. But Kingham slips out of the way and counters with a Brazilian Kick that rocks San Francisco. Kingham follows up with a Samoan Spike that knocks San Francisco down. A European Uppercut using her good arm returns The Pope to the mat. San Francisco then reverses an irish whip, sending Kingham towards the ropes. Kingham uses the momentum to knock San Francisco down with a springboard European Uppercut (using the good arm)! She goes for the cover. ONE! TWO! San Francisco kicks out. Kingham stays in control, whipping San Francisco into the corner. Kingham rushes in to attack when San Francisco ducks and dumps her over the top rope. Luckily for Kingham, she lands safely on the apron. When San Francisco turns around, she gets caught with another European Uppercut before Kingham brings her down with a Slingshot Spear through the ropes. She goes for the cover. ONE! TWO! San Francisco gets her shoulder up.

Kingham continues to stay on offense as she lifts San Francisco up across her good shoulder before bringing her down with a Canadian Backbreaker Drop! She makes the cover. ONE! TWO! San Francisco gets her shoulder up. Kingham sets up shot in the corner of the ring. Once San Francisco is in position, she rushes over and throws out a Knee Trembler, only for The Pope to slip out of the way, take control of her back and deliver a bridging German Suplex. Instead of staying bridged for the cover, San Francisco turns over, pulls Kingham back to her feet and lets go to run into the ropes. When San Francisco returns, she knocks Kingham down from behind with a Northern Lariat! She then drops down and locks Kingham in Our Lady of Sorrows (STF)! San Francisco cinches in the hold while Kingham howls in the pain. The official once again asks Kingham if she wants to give up. Once again, Kingham refuses. So San Francisco starts to tug back on the hold in the hopes that the added pressure will force Kingham to submit. But Kingham continues to hang on. Somehow, someway, Kingham fights through the pain that she’s in! She then slowly reaches forward and tries to pull herself across the ring. Kingham reaches forward before slowly pulling herself across the ring again. The vocal Kingham supporters here in the Flashpoint Zone continue to voice their support as Kingham scratches and claws her way across the canvas. Kingham reaches out, but she’s not there. So Kingham pulls herself forward again. She’s not quite there just yet. Kingham slows down. The Pope can feel it. She can feel the submission coming from Kingham. The official asks Kingham if she wants to quit. But she doesn’t! Once again, Kingham turns down the chance to quit! Kingham pulls herself forward and latches onto the bottom rope! The ref goes to force a rope break when Kingham doesn't stop there. The former two-time 15 Champion starts to crawl between the middle and bottom ropes! The crowd gasps when both San Francisco and Kingham hit the floor moments later. But San Francisco still keeps the STF applied! San Francisco fights like hell for the submission. Both with both grapplers on the outside, the referee won’t be able to stop the match if Kingham taps or verbally submits. While San Francisco keeps Our Lady of Sorrows applied, the official has no choice but to start counting them out.

The sound of spirited laughter can be heard far before the picture comes to life. That laughter? It’s coming from Nina Stokes, of course. She’s seated in an empty locker room arena and already dressed in her ring attire. And that ring attire? An ominous shade, a black on black variant of her usual.

That laughter of hers continues for about ten more seconds. At that point, she takes a deep breath and runs her fingers through her hair. Afterwards, Nina turns towards the camera.

NINA STOKES: Salem, Salem, Salem.

There’s a small pause before she carries on.

NINA STOKES: I said it once before, but I feel it bears repeating—thank you.

A moment passes.

NINA STOKES: Tonight is a night of freedom. A night of unsullied liberation. No rules to chain me. No love to lessen my steps. My violence will only be limited by my creativity. And you are the reason for it all, Salem.

Nina thinks for a second.

NINA STOKES: You and your stubbornness.

She continues to contemplate.

NINA STOKES: Though, I suppose it has been the catalyst behind everything, hasn’t it? You’ve always been too stubborn, haven't you? Too stubborn to pull back and clear your mind. Too stubborn and bullheaded to let your loved ones know that you needed aid. Too stubborn to fully recognize your mistakes.

A shake of the head follows.

NINA STOKES: You made a mistake when you betrayed people’s trust. You made a mistake when you got yourself disqualified in our singles match—

At this point, Nina stands to her feet. She gives her neck a good crack before she returns her gaze to the camera.

NINA STOKES: You are a grown woman, Salem. I’m not your mom or your instructor, so I’m not going to lecture or preach to you. However, I’ll leave you with one nugget of knowledge before we meet in the ring.

There’s a small pause.

NINA STOKES: There are consequences to being foolhardy and making blunders, Salem. And oftentimes, they are costly.

The camera starts to fade out. Nevertheless, one more line slips through.

NINA STOKES: It’s time to pay up, Salem.

As soon as the bell sounds, Salem and Stokes rush towards the center of the ring. The crowd erupts with cheers when Salem and Stokes begin trading forearm strikes! Chants of “LET’S GO SALEM!” are nearly deafening as The Phenomena stands toe to toe with The Kodiak. The two former friends continue to trade strikes until Salem gains the upper hand. Stokes motions for a forearm strike, only for Salem to cut her off! Stokes goes for another forearm strike, only for Salem to cut her off again! Stokes motions to deliver a blow, only for Salem to cut her off with two forearm strikes! Stokes motions to deliver a strike, only for Salem to cut her off with three forearm strikes! The Phenomena then cuts Stokes off with four elbow strikes before sending spittle flying out of her mouth with a high-impact spinning backfist! With Stokes dazed, Salem turns and hits the ropes. When she comes back, she slows down and stops once she sees Stokes running past her into the ropes. When Stokes returns, Salem lifts her up across her shoulder before bringing her down with a Ushigoroshi!

Stokes clutches the back of her head as she rolls across the ring and to the outside. Stokes tries to recover on the floor. But unbeknownst to her, Salem is running into the far ropes. The US Champion picks up speed as she comes back across the ring before tackling Stokes down with a slingshot plancha! Salem mounts herself on top of Stokes before raining down a flurry of right hands to the face! Salem then grabs two handfuls of Stokes’ hair before repeatedly ramming the back of her head against the padded floor! Salem then pulls up Stokes by the hair before flinging her down ringside. The Witch marches over, pulls Stokes back up by the hair and flings her down ringside again. But Salem’s not done. She marches over, pulls up Stokes by the hair and then flings her towards the ring post. Stokes bounces off the ring post before hitting the floor! Salem takes Stokes, grabs her by the hair and flings her against the guardrail. While the challenger is seated against the guardrail, Salem walks down ringside before climbing the apron. She then backs up against the ring post. She sizes up Stokes before running all the way across the apron, leaping off and nailing Stokes with a shotgun missile dropkick!

Salem pulls up Stokes by the hair and rolls her back inside for the cover. ONE! TWO! Stokes gets her shoulder up. The Phenomena takes her challenger and moves her into the corner. From there, she unleashes a hard chest kick…

Stokes is then whipped into the far corner. Salem runs across the ring, bashes Stokes with a corner space rolling elbow. NO! Stokes ducks the elbow, catches Salem and counters with an Exploder Suplex into the turnbuckles! Salem slowly rolls away from the corner before slowly pushing herself up on all fours. Stokes reaches down, latches onto her wrist and nails Salem with repeated wristlock face kicks. Stokes continues to nail Salem with kick after kick. Suddenly, the kicks get faster and faster until Stokes lets go and backs up against the ropes. The Kodiak bounces off the ropes, leaps into the air and flattens Salem with a jumping senton! Stokes gets back to her feet before delivering a second jumping senton across the back. She then pulls Salem over and makes the cover. ONE! TWO! Salem gets the shoulder up. Stokes makes the cover again. ONE! TWO! Salem beats the count and gets her shoulder up at two. This time, Stokes makes the cover by pressing her forearm down hard across Salem’s jaw. ONE! TWO! Salem kicks out. Stokes then rains down repeated forearm strikes across the face. The Kodiak then returns to her feet before hitting the ropes. When Stokes returns, she goes for a third jumping senton. This time, she lands across Salem’s back after the champion gets her knees up in time. Stokes favors her back while Salem slowly rolls over towards the side of the ring. The US Champion then proceeds to slowly pull herself up using the ropes. Once Stokes is back to a vertical base, she rushes over to attack when Salem ducks and dumps her over the top rope. After Stokes lands safely on the apron, she doubles Salem over with a shoulder thrust through the ropes. She then pulls Salem out through the ropes before delivering a Wrist Clutch Apron Exploder Suplex on the apron! The crowd erupts with boos after Salem bounces off the apron and hits the floor.

While Salem writhes in pain on the floor, Stokes climbs back up onto the apron and lines herself up before hopping off and delivering a third jumping senton across Salem! The challenger the pulls Salem back to her feet before whipping her hard against the guardrail. She then takes Salem and whips her hard against the side of the ring. Stokes takes Salem and whips her hard back against the guardrail. The Kodiak then takes the champion and whips her back against the side of the side. Stokes pulls Salem away from the ring, lifts her up across her shoulder, runs over and drops her ribs-first across the top of the guardrail. Salem remains across the top of the guardrail before Stokes takes her by the legs and carelessly dumps her into the crowd. Stokes leaps over the guardrail before driving down repeated vicious knees into the ribs of Salem. Stokes then pulls Salem up into a seated position. After grabbing Salem’s wrists, Stokes unleashes a series of stomps to the face! Each stomp knocks the back of Salem’s head against the guardrail! After a good ten seconds of strikes, Stokes backs up. The Kodiak continues to back up, causing the surrounding fans to part like the Red Sea. Once she’s got Salem lined up, Stokes charges forward. The challenge picks up speed before lunging at Salem’s face with the Amidst the Shadow of Sorrows III (Boma Ye)! At the last second, Salem rolls out of the way, causing Stokes to crash into the guardrail! The crowd erupts with cheers after the miss. Salem tries to pull herself up using the guardrail while Stokes crumbles to the floor. Once the champion is back to her feet, she gingerly makes her way over to Stokes before putting the boots to her. She pulls Stokes back up to her feet before delivering a shinbreaker into a Saito Suplex, sending Stokes down to the ground!

Stokes doesn’t stay down for long as the challenger tries to slowly pull herself up using the top of the guardrail. Once Stokes is finally back to her feet, she turns around into a charging Salem, who sends them both flipping over the guardrail and back to ringside with a Cactus Clothesline! Salem pulls up Stokes, rushes over towards the side of the ring and slams her face-first onto the apron while the crowd counts along.

Stokes is then pushed back into the ring. Salem reaches back in, grabs Stokes by the hair and pulls her head out onto the apron. The champion then climbs up onto the apron. After backing up against the ring post, Salem pushes forward and goes for a jumping knee drop across the back of the head… only for Stokes to slip back inside, causing Salem to hit her knee on the apron before crumbling to the floor. Stokes turns over onto her back while Salem clutches her knee on the floor. The reigning US Champion is able to slowly pull herself back up using the edge of the apron. Salem then slowly pulls herself back up onto the apron. The Phenomena goes to slowly step back inside the ring when Stokes darts over, grabs her leg and delivers a dragon screw leg whip across the middle rope! Salem immediately drops to the canvas before slowly rolling off and hitting the floor. Stokes rolls back to the outside, grabs Salem and rolls her back in. She then grabs Salem’s ankle before dragging her into the corner. Stokes holds her leg back before swinging it hard against the ring post! The boos continue as Stokes pulls the leg back before swinging it hard against the ring post a second time. Stokes then swings the leg against the ring post a third time. Stokes then frantically undoes the laces on one of Salem’s boots before trying it around her ankles! With Salem trapped, Stokes rolls back inside the ring. She then reaches down and grabs a hold of Salem’s wrists before holding her arms out. From there, the crowd erupts with boos when Stokes delivers double wrist clutch curb stomps to the face! The stomps continue while Salem’s nose gets bloodied! Stokes ultimately stops the stomps once she sees the official head to the outside and untie the lace around Salem’s ankles! The Kodiak rolls to the outside to confronts the official. Before the official can explain himself, Stokes piefaces him down to the floor! She then makes her way over to Melanie Sierra and yells at her to get up. The ring announcer wisely does what The Kodiak says. Stokes snatches up the chair, slams it shut and slips back into the ring.

When Stokes is back to a vertical base, she sees Salem trying to crawl across the ring. So Stokes puts a stop to that with a hard chair shot across the back, flattening Salem on the canvas!

*THWACK*

Salem slowly pushes herself back up to all fours, only to get flattened with another chair shot across the back!

*THWACK*

After a few moments, Salem goes to start to slowly push herself back up. But Stokes is right there to crack her across the back wit another chair shot!

*THWACK*

Salem arches her back in pain as she slowly turns over into the prone position. Stokes doesn’t let up, raising the chair high above her head before swinging it down hard across Salem’s midsection!

*THWACK*

Stokes then delivers a chair shot across the legs!

*THWACK*

… then another chair shot across the midsection…

Stokes stands over Salem, grips the chair and raises it high above her her before bringing it down hard, repeatedly jabbing Salem in the ribs with the top rail of the back of the chair! Stokes turns the chair around, raises it high above her head and swings down violently at Salem’s head with one of the chair legs. But The Phenomena is able to slip out of the way in the nick of time. Stokes turns around, raises the chair high above her head and swings one of the legs of the chair down violently at Salem’s face. Once again, Salem’s able to roll out of the way in time. Stokes then throws down the chair out of frustration before marching over and snatching up Salem. The Kodiak moves the champion into the corner before sending her slumping down with boxing forearm strikes. Salem gets pulled back to her feet by the hair before being sent slumping back down in the corner with another flurry of boxing forearm strikes. The challenger pulls Salem back up by the hair again. This time, Stokes returns the favor with repeated shoot kicks to the chest that send Salem slumping down in the corner. Stokes follows up with a rolling solebutt right to the face! Stokes pulls up Salem again. This time, she follows up by sitting Salem down across the top turnbuckle. Stokes then turns around before carefully climbing up onto the middle ropes. After lifting Salem up across her shoulders and standing up, Salem tries to counter with multiple elbows to the side of the head. But Stokes is able to fight through the elbows, jumps off and deliver an avalanche fireman’s carry gutbuster! Salem curls up in pain while Stokes clutches her knee. Stokes is ultimately able to fight through the pain as she drags herself over to Salem before making the cover. ONE! TWO! TH-NO! Salem gets her shoulder up.

The match continues as Stokes takes the chair and sets it up near the center of the ring. She then heads over into the corner before she starts to undo the top turnbuckle. Stokes then pulls off the top pad to expose the steel turnbuckle. She then heads back over and pulls Salem back up. After taking control of Salem back, Stokes charging forward, sending Salem sternum-first into the corner before delivering a release Chaos Theory (front turnbuckle smash into a back roll German Suplex), leaving Salem folded up after flattening the steel chair!!! Stokes heads over and makes the cover. ONE! TWO! THR-NO! Salem gets her shoulder up! Stokes pulls Salem back to her feet. After hooking her arm around Salem’s neck from behind, Stokes lifts her up before bringing her down with the Requiem Aeternam (Inverted Implant DDT)! She makes the cover. ONE! TWO! THR-NO! Salem beats the count again by getting her shoulder up. Stokes then takes Salem and tosses her through the ropes and to the floor. The challenger then steps off the apron before pulling Salem back to her feet. Stokes hooks Salem from behind and goes for a half nelson suplex off the apron! But Salem wisely blocks by wrapping her free arm around the top rope. Stokes try to hurl Salem off the apron with another half nelson suplex attempt. But once again, Salem blocks the move. So Stokes lets go, turns Salem around and goes for the Divine Night (Elbow Smash). Salem ducks the blow, grabs Stokes and returns the favor with an Exploder Suplex to the floor!

Salem grabs a hold of Stokes and pulls her up onto the apron. The US Champion rolls back inside. After climbing up onto the middle ropes, she grabs Stokes and pulls her back to her feet. The crowd then erupts with cheers when Salem brings Stokes back inside with an inverted exploder superplex!!! She makes the cover. ONE! TWO! T-NO! Stokes gets her shoulder up. Salem takes Stokes and moves her back into the corner. After sitting Stokes down on the top turnbuckle, Salem climbs up to the middle ropes. She then looks around before stepping up onto the top ropes. She then pulls Stokes in place before throwing her down with a Falcon Arrow superplex! ONE! TWO! THR-NO! Stokes kicks out, only for Salem to transition into an ankle lock. Salem keeps the submission applied while she cranks away at Stokes’ ankle. The ref asks The Kodiak if she wants to give up. Stokes refuses. After pushing herself up onto her hands, she rolls forward, sending Salem through the ropes and back to the outside Stokes then rolls back to the outside before throwing Salem down with an STO on the floor. Stokes pulls Salem back to her feet and repeatedly slams her face-first onto the announce table. She then reaches over, takes the cord from one of the monitors and chokes Salem with it! Salem reaches up and frantically tries to pull the wire from around her neck. But it’s to no avail! Stokes eventually lets go before pushing Salem up onto the table. Stokes lifts Salem up across her shoulders and is about to go for a move when Salem counters with multiple elbows to the side of the head. After slipping down from behind, Salem turns Stokes around, doubles her over with a boot to the midsection and hooks both arms. Stokes tries to break free. But its to no avail. The crowd erupts with cheers after Salem lifts Stokes up before driving her down with the Hijack Kevrokian (Berkocet) through the table!!!

Both Salem and Stokes lay amongst the debris until Salem returns to her feet. She then drags Stokes back towards the side of the ring before slowly pulling her up and rolling her back inside. Salem rolls back in and makes the cover. ONE! TWO! THREE!









NO!!!

Stokes just barely gets her shoulder up in time! Salem pulls Stokes back to her feet and delivers four forearm strikes. A high-impact spinning backfist follows, followed by a roundhouse kick that knocks Stokes down. Salem then steps out to the apron. The fans in attendance stand up while Salem ascends to the top turnbuckle. Once Stokes is back to her feet, Salem leaps off for a diving overhead chop… only for Stokes to sidestep, catch Salem on the way down and follow up with a Snap Saito Suplex! Stokes heads into the corner before crouching down. The Kodiak waits impatiently for Salem to get into position. Across the ring, Salem slowly turns over into the prone position. The moment Salem starts to push herself up on all fours, Stokes comes charging across the ring. She motions for Amidst the Shadow of Sorrows III when Salem turns around and throws the steel chair right into her face, knocking the challenger down! The crowd erupts with cheers when Salem gets back to her feet, takes the steel chair and swings it down across Stokes’ torso!

Salem raises the chair before swinging it down across Stokes’ torso again!

Salem throws the chair down in frustration before slowly heading to the outside. The Phenomena kneels down next to the ring before pulling up the ring skirt. Salem reaches underneath the ring… and slowly pulls out a sledgehammer! The Witch slowly rolls herself back into the ring. Stokes can be seen writhing in pain while she guards her midsection. While Stokes slowly turns over onto a knee, Salem can be seen pacing back and forth with the sledgehammer. Salem slowly comes to a stop. She slowly looks down at the weapon before looking over at her former friend. Tears start to well up as Salem keeps a tight grip of the handle while gripping the steel head with her other hand. She then motions to rush over and bash Stokes with the sledgehammer… only to stop! Salem tosses the sledgehammer to the side! The US Champion drops down to a knee as she buries her head in her hands over this conflict of conscious. The capacity crowd starts to applaud and cheer for Salem in a show of support. The moment Salem lifts her head back up to look over at Stokes…

*CRACK*

Stokes takes advantage of the opening and blasts her in the face with a bicycle kick!

Stokes heads over, takes the steel chair and positions it between the middle and top ropes. She then goes back over, pulls Salem up and launches her towards the corner with a double underhook suplex. Salem lands on the mat before rolling over into the prone position. The Phenomena slowly starts to push herself up. The crowd buzzes with an uneasy anticipation as Stokes lines up the champion. As a groggy Salem slowly looks up and sees the steel chair in front of her. It’s the last thing she sees as Stokes charges forward and bashes her in the back of the head with Amidst the Shadow of Sorrows III, driving Salem face-first into the steel chair!!! The boos continues as Stokes makes the cover.

After the match, Stokes waits in the middle of the ring for the ref to hand her the championship. Once the referee hands the belt over to her, Stokes raises the United States Championship with one arm while the referee raises her other arm in victory. Stokes then makes her way over to her former friend and looks down at the unconscious and busted open Salem. Unlike when Salem had Stokes lined up for that potential sledgehammer shot, there isn’t a hint of remorse on the face of The Kodiak. In fact, she purposely steps over the downed Salem before exiting the ring. The capacity crowd continues to boo Stokes as she makes her way up the ramp. She leaves the crowd with one last parting shot: her standing at the top of the ramp with her newly won United States Championship raised above her head...
