(c) Jimmy Page vs. Annie Zellor
J.A. Aldridge: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is the MAAAAAIN EVENT!
The announcement draws a pop from the audience within the Ryan Center, but quickly the sounds of “Devil’s Bleeding Crown” by Volbeat begins to play and the crowd immediately begin to boo. The lights go down; red spotlights flashing on the entrance ramp, keeping in time with music before the vocals finally kick in. Zellor emerges from behind the curtain, her back facing the ring. She stands with her arms held out to either side, spinning on her heel to suddenly face the ring. With a smirk on her face, Annie begins her slow approach down the aisle.
J.A. Aldridge: Ladies and gentlemen, making her way to the ring from Staten Island, New York, weighing in at one hundred and twenty-five pounds … ANNIE ZELLORRRRR!
Some diehard Anniemaniacs reach out for the high five, and for those fans Annie happily obliges. But the majority continue booing the crow as she struts down the aisle.
Kris Cruise: This is a totally different environment… a totally different atmosphere than the last time Annie and Jimmy squared off one-on-one.
Stephy Auger: And Annie is a different competitor. She’s better than she ever was, Cruise.
Kris Cruise: Well… some might argue that our new World Champion is at the best
he’s ever been.
Zellor leaps up onto the apron, taking another moment to look out across the crowd before she flips backwards over the top rope to enter the ring. There, Annie heads to her corner and climbs a turnbuckle, before removing her leather jacket and bandana, ready for this match to get started.
J.A. Aldridge: And her opponent…
A song crashes into the P.A. system that sounds of static and a guitar. The lights begin to flash a violent red frantically. As the song "Murdered Out" by Kim Gordon really kicks in, the lights continue to flash red. A silhouette appears at the entrance. With a controlled stagger, Jimmy Page comes from the back, head down and arms out from his sides to a roar from the crowd. The camera pans down, revealing the FGA World Championship around his waist.
J.A. Aldridge: Hailing from Flint, Michigan and weighing in at two hundred and thirty-seven pounds, is the
new FGA World Champion… JIMMMMYYY PAAAAGE!
Page swaggers down to the ring in at a methodical pace. The camera gets a close up of his hair covered face as he makes his way down the aisle. He stops at the top of the ramp, flinging his hair from his eyes and glaring a hole through Annie Zellor, chewing on a piece of gum. Through the static red, a spotlight follows Page as he makes his way to the front of the ring. He takes a running start, sliding on top of the apron. He stands, gets in the ring, then climbs on top of the turnbuckle. Page spits his gum outside of the ring and unhooks the FGA World Championship, raising it high above his head.
Stephy Auger: Uuugh.
Kris Cruise: That’s no sound to make at our new World Champion.
Stephy Auger: UUUGH.
Jimmy leaps down from the turnbuckle, and begins to slither down into a seat on the lower turnbuckle; placing his head against the middle turnbuckle, knocking the back of it against the corner gently as the timekeeper come toward the ropes and collects his belt.
Kris Cruise: And the referee’s wasting no time getting this one underway!
The bell sounds to a roar from the crowd and Annie Zellor is the first to stride forward, darting right at the World Champion-- but Page explodes out of the corner and smashes into Annie with a Clothesline, sending Zellor corkscrewing through the air before crashing to the mat!
Kris Cruise: THAT QUICK!
Stephy Auger: What?! No! Annie!
Page drops down and makes a cover, hooking the near leg as the audience counts along with the ref!

THRE-!
Annie throws the shoulder up and immediately rolls away, beneath the ropes, and down to the outside of the ring with wide eyes while the audience roars at the display! Jimmy Page stands in the center of the ring, glaring out toward Annie as she leans against the barricade, muttering to herself while the ref begins to count her out.
Kris Cruise: Annie Zellor wants no parts of Jimmy Page right now! These two have a storied history. These two--
Stephy Auger: “Storied history”? You mean the “storied history” of Jimmy Page terrorizing Annie Zellor and her friends? Page was and IS a monster, Cruise, and-- and look! Look at him!
At the referee’s count of four, Page slides out of the ring and rushes Annie, but she pivots with a shriek and runs away, rounding the corner, using the ring post to swing herself into the ring under the bottom rope! Page enters after her and Annie turns around, looking to blast him with a kick to the face, but Page wisely leans back, avoiding it by inches! He hops to his feet and leans in for a forearm, but this time it’s Annie that takes a stride back, the two earning a round of applause for the standoff-- but the moment Page takes a millisecond to look out into the lively crowd, Annie hits a Step-Up Enzuigiri, sending the champ to the ground!
Kris Cruise: Oh, come on!
Stephy Auger: “Come on”, what? Page knows better!
Boos rain down as Annie mounts Page and begins laying into him with rights and lefts, leaving the ref unable to determine which shots are legal. He begins a five count and Zellor raises her palms, climbing off of Page at four… before laying into him again, landing stiff closed fists wherever she can!
Ref: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR!
Zellor raises her hands again and this time Page nails a forearm strike, catching Zellor right across the throat! Annie rolls off, gasping for air. The two reach their feet at the same time, Annie clutching her own throat-- but she hits a stomp to Page’s gut before he can regain composure, following up with a second Step-Up Enzuigiri! Instead of going down, Page stumbles back into the ropes. Annie rolls to her feet and rushes forward, hitting a running double knee strike! Page falls through the middle and top ropes, landing hard on the apron. Annie delivers a shoot kick to his right leg through the ropes, then the left… then the midsection! Page groans, hunched over the middle rope. Annie hits the ropes and rebounds, nailing a Bicycle Knee Strike to the side of Page’s head! Page slumps against the ropes and falls down to the apron again. Annie drags him into the ring by an arm and a leg before dropping down for a tight cover!

Kickout!Stephy Auger: Annie used to be known as the “Giant Killer” and this is exactly why! Look at how she’s breaking Jimmy Page down right before our eyes!
Kris Cruise: Annie Zellor hasn’t given Page a moment to breathe! Imagine what this would mean to Zellor tonight though, Stephy. A win here puts her right behind Kol in line for a shot at Jimmy’s World Championship.
Stephy Auger: Imagine what that would do to the psyche of Jimmy Page! Baha!
Zellor rolls her eyes at the chants of
“LET’S GO JIMMY!” echoing throughout the arena, delivering a stomp to the World Champion for good measure before stepping over him and backing into the corner, going up to the second rope. Zellor shouts for Page to get up and groggily the World Champion does, glaring up at Annie-- only to be taken down with a Diving Knee Strike! Page hits the canvas in a heap and Zellor quickly scrambles out to the apron, going to the top turnbuckle, grinning to herself before sailing from the top for a Diving Elbow Drop!
Kris Cruise: Nobody home!
Page rolls out of harm’s way and Annie’s mouth opens in a silent “O” of pain as she bounces off the mat! Both Grapplers struggle to their feet with Annie being the first, moving over to Page with outstretched hands-- and Page yells out, rushing forward to nail Annie with a Big Boot! Annie is thrown to the mat, hands over her face, rolling out of the ring as Page crawls for the cover.
Kris Cruise: Again, Annie running away from Page!
Stephy Auger: She just got kicked in the face, Cruise! Give her a second, my God!
The referee tries to warn Page off, but the World Champion shakes his head and drops down, rolling out of the ring on an adjacent side.
Stephy Auger: Oh n… Annie… ANNIE, LOOK OUT!
As if hearing Auger, Annie turns around and Page grabs her, launching her into the barricade with an Exploder Suplex! The crowd in the front row roar and slap their hands against the barrier. Page runs a hand through his hair, ignoring the yells of the referee as he forces Annie up again, this time Irish Whipping her into the steel steps! The stairs disconnect as Annie makes impact, crying out in pain!
“LET’S GO JIMMY!”
“LET’S GO JIMMY!”
“LET’S GO JIMMY!”
Stephy Auger: Do you hear these savages?! Do you see what he’s trying to do to Annie?!
Kris Cruise: Look!
Stephy Auger: Huh?
Kris Cruise: Look at the ramp!
The reaction grows mixed as many see what Cruise has seen-- the number one contender, Kol, making his way down the ramp, steel chair gripped in his left hand. Jimmy Page looks at Kol in silence, glaring at him. Kol pauses at the bottom of the ramp before calmly looking away from Jimmy and walking around the far side of the ring toward the announce table.
Stephy Auger: It’s Kol! Page got the chance to scout his match earlier so now he wants the same opportunity. Don’t you dare speak an ill word, Cruise!
Kol opens the chair and places it down, calmly taking a seat at ringside, hands crossed behind his head as Page looks back at him. The referee turns to Kol for a moment, warning him to stay away while Jimmy picks Annie up, moving her toward the ring-- and Annie delivers a quick kick to the nether-regions!
“BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”
Kris Cruise: A low blow! Annie had a two second window and she took advantage! Disgusting!
Stephy Auger: Uh. Annie had a two second window and she took advantage.
Genius.
Annie grins at Page as he sinks to his knees. She rushes forward, nailing a knee strike, sending the World Champion to the ground as the referee finally begins to administer a ten count! Annie stomps away at Page viciously for good measure before rolling inside at the count of three, laughing as she paces the interior of the ring, serenaded by deafening boos.
“...FOUR!”
“FIVE!”
“SIX!”
“SEVEN!”Page uses the ring apron to pull himself to his feet, rolling into the ring at the ref’s count of eight-- and Zellor immediately scrambles for a pin hooking both legs!

Kickout!Kris Cruise: Quick thinking by Annie, but the champion powers out at one.
Zellor lays into Page with kicks to the ribs, backing him into the corner in a seated position before driving a knee against his jaw, pressing his temple against the bottom turnbuckle, forcing his face in Kol’s direction. Page grunts in pain and the ref begins to count Zellor out.
Ref: ONE! TWO! THREE! F--!
Zellor breaks and hits the ropes, rebounding full force and hitting a Basement Dropkick to the face! Spit flies out of Page’s mouth and Annie yanks him away from the corner before stepping out to the apron and moving toward the turnbuckles. She ascends to the top rope, remaining perched there for a moment… before leaping off for a Diving Elbow Drop, crashing down across the World Champion’s chest! Page rolls onto his side, gasping for air, but Zellor rolls him up with a La Magistral cradle! The ref counts!

Page kicks out emphatically, shoving Annie clear off of him!
Kris Cruise: Annie tried to put Page away three times and the champion won’t stay down!
Stephy Auger: He’s gonna walk into his first title defense already a broken man!
Annie stalks the rising Page to his feet and immediately tries to wrap him up in what looks like a Sleeper Hold, but Page reaches back and grabs her by the head, nailing a Snapmare! Annie climbs to her feet and ducks under a right hand from Page! She shots the ropes and leaps onto the middle, rebounding for a misdirection Springboard Cross Body-- only to be caught by Page and nailed with a Pendulum Backbreaker! Annie cries out in pain, staggering to her feet. This time it’s Zellor that goes for a right hand, but Jimmy blocks it and pulls her into a short-arm Lariat, turning Zellor inside-out!
Kris Cruise: Page is fighting his way back into this!
Kol watches with curiosity as Page shoots the ropes and hits the rising Zellor with a second Lariat, and then a third! Zellor writhes in the center of the ring and Page rests against the ropes, catching his breath-- before shooting a look directly at the number one contender.
Stephy Auger: Hey! Remember what happened last time you took your eye off the ball, jerk!
As if on cue, Annie Zeller rushes the distracted Page and leaps onto his shoulders for a Hurricanrana-- but Page plants his feet and counters by rushing across the ring and launching Annie with a Turnbuckle Powerbomb! Annie hits the corner and stumbles out of it with wobbly legs, right into a Snap DDT! Page nods his head vigorously as the audience roars, beginning to clap, willing him to victory. Kol rubs his jaw, watching with an intent look as Page pulls himself up in the corner, readying himself for a charge as Zellor pulls herself up. Page cries out and rushes forward, delivering the Boma Ye, driving his knee between Zellor’s eyes, sending her down to the canvas!
Kris Cruise: TRAUMA SYMPHONY!
Annie’s eyes roll into the back of her head, but she flails, trying to push herself back upright. Page leans against the ropes and points directly at Kol, who rises to his feet, calm expression still across his face as Page turns back to Annie-- and blasts her with the Gamengiri as she rises to her feet!
Kris Cruise: And the Aneurysm! Cover!
Page hooks the far leg, looking right at Kol as the ref makes the count!

THRE-!
Annie shoots her shoulder up off the mat to a mixed reaction from the audience! Page sighs, shaking his head… and Kol smirks faintly, sitting back down.
Stephy Auger: Gross. The arrogance of our World Champion is absolutely astounding.
Kris Cruise: Annie Zellor is not one to be made an example of. Jimmy Page needs to remember that and put Zellor away, instead of letting Kol occupy space in his mind.
Page picks Zellor up and throws her into the corner. He hits her with one knife-edged chop… then a second… then a third… fourth… each one inspiring the crowd to cheer louder, many even delivering an obligatory
“WOOOO!” while Annie’s legs fly up with each shot. A fifth chop connects with a sickening
SMACK! and Page rears back for a sixth despite the ref’s scolding-- but Annie ducks under it and moves past Page, blasting him with a heel kick that sends him slumping into the corner!
Stephy Auger: And just like that, Annie turns this in her favor!
Annie nails a knife-edged chop of her own… then a second… a third…
“BOOOOOOOOOOO!”
Annie goes to hit a fourth-- but Page delivers a thunderous kick right to her chest, sending the crow staggering backwards with a shriek of pain! Page rushes at Annie and grab her wrist, swinging her into the ropes with an Irish Whip. She rebounds and Page goes for the Rolling Big Boot-- but Annie catches his foot, grinning wickedly! She spins Page around-- but he throws out the Rolling Elbow out of nowhere!
Kris Cruise: CONCUSSION--no!
Annie ducks under the shot and Page turns around, right into a right hand from Zellor, earning divided reactions from the live audience!
“POW!” “BOOOOOOO!”
And another…
“POW!” “BOOOOOOO!”
And another...
“POW!” “BOOOOOOO!”
And another!
“POW!” “BOOOOOOO!”
With Page stunned, Zellor turns and shoots the far ropes-- returning to deliver a headscissors takeover that sends Page stumbling onto the middle rope! Once he’s in position, Annie’s eyes widen. She then looks around the arena before throwing up the #GRRFACE, earning a thunderous 60/40 reaction with most raining down boos. She pivots and runs back into the far ropes.
Stephy Auger: I’m getting this weird sense of deja vu, Cruise!
Zellor rebounds at full speed and swings through the middle and top ropes, going for the Tiger Feint Kick-- the Rough ‘n’ Tumble-- but Page catches her legs to a monstrous pop!
Kris Cruise: I guess so was Jimmy Page, because he had Annie scouted!
Shaking his head at Zellor, Page then stands up, shifting the weight of Annie in his arms before throwing her up onto his shoulders for a Powerbomb-- and charging the ropes on the far side of the ring! Those in attendance come to their feet in anticipation of the carnage, but Zellor reverses into a Hurricanrana at the last moment, sending both herself and Page tumbling over the top rope and down to the floor with a sickening thud!
Kris Cruise: Did you hear that landing?!
Stephy Auger: These two are gonna take years off each others’ careers!
Annie Zellor yells out through the pain as she pushes herself up to her feet. She glares at the rising FGA World Champion, seething as he begins to pull himself up. Annie grabs Jimmy by the hair and points to the announce table, whispering something into his ear before getting a running start, prepared to throw Page right into the side of the announce desk!
Kris Cruise: Look out!
The commentators brace themselves, but Page pivots at the last moment and launches Zellor right into the seated Kol, causing the two to knock heads! Zellor, the number one contender, and the chair he was sitting on go tumbling across the floor to a roar from the crowd!
Stephy Auger: HE DID THAT ON PURPOSE!
While Kol looks to be temporarily disoriented, Page grabs Zellor by the back of her tights and the base of her neck, turning, rolling her into the ring beneath the bottom rope! Zellor clutches her own head, stumbling to her feet. She turns, watching as Page slides into the ring before striding forward and blasting him with a shoot kick to the jaw! Page reels, not even up to his feet yet!
Stephy Auger: Yes… YES!
Kris Cruise: Page is in trouble!
Zellor shoots the ropes on the far side of the ring and rebounds-- right into a Roaring Elbow that sends her flipping onto her stomach as she connects! Zellor smashes into the canvas, completely limp!
Stephy Auger: …
Kris Cruise: CONCUSSION!
Page pushes Zellor over onto her back and hooks the far leg while the audience shouts along with the ref!

The bell sounds and “Murdered Out” hits the PA as Page rises to a knee, taking a deep breath.
J.A. Aldridge: Here is your winner, the FGA World Champion… JIMMMMMY PAAAAAGE!
The audience roars and Page nods to the referee as he’s handed his FGA World Championship and has his arm raised.
Kris Cruise: What a match. What a win by the World Champion in his first singles match since winning that championship at Capital Combat. Take nothing away from Annie Zellor though. This was-- hey!
As Annie rolls out of the ring on one side, Kol slides into the ring on the other side, making a beeline for the champion-- but Page turns to meet his gaze as Kol is less than a foot away. Kol stops in his tracks and Jimmy takes a step forward, getting right into the number one contender’s face! Jimmy’s music fades and though tired, breathing heavily, he stands nose-to-nose with Kol, mouthing “do it.” Kol clenches his jaw, glaring at Page, face growing red, abandoning his normal cool demeanor.
Stephy Auger: What’s gonna happen?! I can’t look!
The audience roars for the altercation… but Kol takes a step back, shaking his head, earning thunderous boos. He steps through the ropes and drops down to the floor, shaking his head again as he points to his wrist, simply saying “the timing isn’t right” before turning his back on the champion and walking up the ramp.
Kris Cruise: Well, the fans don’t like it, but this might be the best decision for both men.
Stephy Auger: Jimmy Page is lucky!
Kris Cruise: Jimmy Page, tonight, is victorious, Stephy.
Page stands on the second turnbuckle, staring Kol down until he departs. We zoom in on the FGA World Championship held in Page’s hand as we fade to black.
