ENTRANCE & ATTIRE
ENTRANCE MUSIC:
"Rock You Like A Hurricane (Comeblack 2011 version)" by Scorpions
RING ATTIRE:
Delikado wrestles in a suit/tie combo in replica of José Martí, an apostle of Cuban freedom who probably wasn’t a professional wrestler. Probably.
RING ENTRANCE:
“Rock You Like A Hurricane” echoes throughout the arena, generating a respectable pop. All eyes turn to the entrance, where an utterly catatonic Delikado is literally dragged along the ground in chains by a group of six Swedish security guards. Though he’s cheered by fans, many look upon the grayed, motionless Cuban in equal bewilderment as he is limply pulled down to ringside, and their cheers are mixed with boos as "King" Eric Otto steps out and gives a mighty "king" pose, in fitting royal robes not to mention the crown atop his head.
Melanie Sierra: On his way to the ring, accompanied by "King" Eric Otto of Sweden, from Pinar del Rio, Cuba, he is…..DELIKADO!!!
As they approach the ring, the guards stop and turn to Eric Otto, bowing and awaiting their monarch's command. Eric Otto takes his time walking down to the ring, eventually stopping and smugly holding his head high as he absorbs what he believes is the people's love, before he waves a dismissive hand to his guards. Together Delikado’s handlers promptly unchain and unceremoniously hoist the corpse-y Cuban up, right before they dump him through the ropes into the ring, well, like trash. Flopping not unlike a fish before coming to a stop, Delikado lays face down for several moments…
…
….
….RIP?
No! Life becomes apparent! It’s as if he’s seemingly activated by the “magic” of the squared circle. The right pinky finger on his hand grips the mat and single-"handedly" pulls Delikado up to his feet with the nimbleness of a cat. The crowd cheers as Delikado stretches out his joints and prepares to do battle. He climbs to the nearest top rope and poses smilingly for the people he loves, even as he flashes a murderously threatening look to the manager he hates.
CHAMPIONSHIP ENTRANCE:
TBA, although it would essentially be the same as the regular entrance minus Eric Otto carrying the belt and then chucking it in the ring with Deli, who hoists it up once he “revives”.
CHARACTER BACKGROUND
PERSONALITY:
Delikado is an over-the-top, borderline cartoon character-esque leader of shenanigans who lives by his own rules, ideas, and methods. He expertly wields a strength of spirit and personality the Cuban race is proud of, as well as a performer’s creativity that cannot be easily matched. At the same time, Delikado’s also DEEPLY flawed in his mannerisms and beliefs (not to mention the “old age curse” that has brought him back to the ring), to the point he’s as much a threat to his own career as he is to his opponents.
STRENGTHS:
1. Persistent SOB – If any trait describes Delikado best, it’s his stubborn nature. A spirited soul, he will fight on and talk on until the outcome he desires is achieved. He can lose 1000 times in a row and be degraded to the lowest of the low, but his personal resolve will not falter. No one denies he isn’t a bold, passionate son of a bitch.
2. Exceptionally crafty – Delikado is a major schemer, with a plan or a method that is never quite clear yet somehow seems to leave him two steps ahead. Some of his ploys are downright silly but oftentimes even at his most random, the Cuban is at his most dangerous. Even those who deny all that is supernatural and magical have declared Delikado has the power to pull the proverbial rabbit out of the equally proverbial hat, as if out of thin air, whenever he truly needs it.
3. Veteran’s charisma – Doing this for over a decade means you have to be doing something right, right? Though he has many “dumb” or “cartoony” elements to him, he’s still quite intelligent in his own way. Delikado knows the insides and outsides of wrestling, with much of it amazingly being self-taught, and it’s given him a stage presence that can buy a lot of support and inspires many to like/love him when they should theoretically hate him. He’s the life of the party, charming when he wants to be, the zany foreigner so to speak, and his persona alone has been shown to turn the surest defeat into a victory.
WEAKNESSES:
1. Petty as shit – This dude will NOT let sleeping dogs lie. Some of that mentioned persistence comes from a desire to avenge what is easily the stupidest, most superficial of “slights.” It can be in the ring or backstage, but if you say or do something (or don’t), the Cuban doesn’t like, he may not immediately say or do anything about it, but he could still be planning to destroy your whole life. Granted, some of the things he seeks to “avenge” are entirely his own fault or even straight up invented in his warped mind, but that doesn’t matter. Friends and allies have been left high and dry, or even turned on, because Deli wants things his way. He’s extremely childish and he would ruin his own top title match because “that guy who’s 100% unconscious and ready to be pinned didn’t appropriately appreciate my moonsault I did six months ago so I gotta do it again but this time off this flaming barbed wire ladder I just set up for no reason!” #DelikadoLogic
2. Lover of spectacle – Along with an adoration of the personal dramatic, Delikado is an artist who believes in the mantra “go big or go home and boil your flat head.” He is a man of EVERY vice and embraces them without shame, from drinking to smoking to womanizing, but he also incorporates alter-egos and numerous pop culture influences into his work. Additionally, he pursues elaborate scenes that are over-the-top (like the time he bought a hot air balloon and flew it over a show just to sprinkle raccoon hair “laced with rabies” onto a foe). Similar to his pettiness, this love of flair and show can (and has) cost him deeply because he gets so absorbed in it, he forgets why he started it to begin with.
3. Believes in own infallibility – Carrying over from his days in a “Pope Delikado XXX” gimmick, Delikado believes he can’t be wrong. Everyone OBVIOUSLY thinks the same as he does and will agree with whatever he says or does, and if you don’t, well screw you you’re stupid and just being petty! Even a defeat doesn’t necessarily mean someone is “better” or “more right-er” than he is, just that the “Wrestling Gods” are choosing to elevate Delikado to something beyond that person’s comprehension because he’s so, SO infallible. This is not simple arrogance: Deli could be shown incontrovertible evidence something won’t work or people aren’t okay with what he’s doing—hell, that what he’s after will kill him—and you know what he’d say? “Nope.” It can be quite off-putting.
4. BONUS Weakness: Delikado’s current OMEGA age – Due to shenanigans making him old, when Delikado is not competing in an official match, his body almost completely shuts down, save for the pinky of his right hand, which is capable of Superman-like strength and many other abnormal feats yet to be explored [it's known as The Pinky That Was Promised]. Still, if you can avoid or subdue the pinky, Deli is basically defenseless behind-the-scenes.
TAUNTS/MANNERISMS:

2. Lays in a corner (or on a top rope if in-ring) and naps

BACKGROUND:
ewrestling.wikia.com/wiki/Delikado
The above link will give you some background, though it’s not in any way up-to-date or definitive. For convenience the necessary info will be placed here as follows:
In 2006, Delikado appeared on the wrestling scene for the very first time and began a career—a saga, really—comprised of victory, defeat, and more outrageous hijinks than you could shake a baby at. Titles and other goodies were amassed over the years, making Deli more or less a super-star, before he finally up and bailed on the squared circle like it was child support in 2015, reckoning he’d done everything that deserved to be done in the business. The Cuban Warrior vanished without a trace…….until now.
(Side-note: while there were alleged sightings of Delikado competing in companies throughout 2016-2017, this was ultimately revealed to be a “robo-legged clone” taking credit for the Cuban’s legacy, who was ultimately put down)
Now Delikado has reappeared, seemingly the classic old-school figure people knew and loved, but something is very, VERY wrong. He’s a grey haired, wrinkled, wheelchair-bound relic, old waaaaaay beyond his years, no doubt nearing 100! How this has come to be is a simple, quaint tale, but it makes up the core of why Delikado is returning to the sport he had done away with.
See, one day after participating in typical Delikado madness, in order to satisfy his desire for food, Delikado went to a restaurant and tried to get the Early Bird Special. The waiter denied the Cuban this due to his age. Angered, Delikado decided he would show that elitist waiter and the imperialistic restaurant with its Early Bird Special by “aging up.” How? By finding the legendary Fountain of Old of course! Upon finding the Fountain and bathing in it, Delikado was in fact aged by its magic, and he returned to the restaurant to smugly enjoy his Early Bird Special. However, once he went back to try and reverse the Fountain’s effects, he discovered nothing changed—if anything, Deli felt worse! As he bemoaned this trauma, the worst thing that ever happened to anyone ever, a shadowy figure appeared claiming to speak for the fates that had put this curse on Delikado. With a thunderous declaration the figure explained that the only way Delikado could undo the Fountain of Old’s magic was by engaging what was truest to his heart: Professional wrestling.
Yes, as he was now 100 years of age, it would take 100 wins—not just official wrestling matches, but WINS—to return Mister Cuba to his youthful self, with each triumph removing a year off the age frame. Think like a Benjamin Button “getting younger while everyone else ages and you’re Brad Pitt” thing.
And yet Delikado, decrepit as he was, could not do it alone. By the words of the shadowy figure, only in the ring would the magic temporarily relapse and allow the Cuban to compete not unlike he did in his heyday (I mean, the fates can’t be TOTALLY unfair, right?) Beyond that, until he hit a safer age Delikado was overwhelmingly weak and utterly at the mercy of a world he had used and abused for years. After bribing his longest-lived friends…well, enemies really….Sofia Monzón and Ewan Jakeway to physically support him through this trial, Deli sought out a wrestling company that would give him the opportunity to undo his latest mess. As luck and a homophobic youngster’s profanity-laced insult would have it, Frontier Grappling Arts appeared and gave our hero (ehhh…) the perfect place to begin.
Once he settled in to FGA, Delikado formed an alliance with Susan Kent, and after defeating both The Resistance and The Fam in an extended series of matches, they began to pursue the FGA US Tag Team Titles. Along the way, Delikado waged a behind-the-scenes war with a pretender to the throne of Sweden, Otto Sonsson. Through trickery and violence he ultimately lost Sofia and Ewan as managers as well as support during this time, leaving Delikado to be "traded" over to Otto as a client--though the chaining up and abusive mistreatment he receives from Otto (now known as "King" Eric Otto due to him officially claiming the crown) has established a relationship built entirely on mutual hatred. Still, the team of Delikado and Susan Kent carries on its journey for greatness, with all the trials and tribulations that accompany such a journey.
