Backstage, Ashley Sullivan is standing leaning up against the wall. Dressed in her ring gear, she stands on one foot with her other booted foot propped up against the wall behind her as she looks confidently into the camera with her arms crossed over her chest.
Ashley Sullivan: Savannah Taylor. Our FGA United States Champion. This main event tonight is easily the biggest match I’ve had since I’ve come back to FGA. It’s not for her precious United States title that she’s managed to cling on to for the last few months but it’s still my chance to make a statement about my climb up the ladder. Slowly and slowly, I’ve been making my way up. While there’s been a few stumbling blocks created by people that are only jealous because they don’t have the will to do the same, I’ve still kept my eyes turned upward, focused on only one thing… the climb. Because I know when I finally reach the top, being at the peak will feel oh so sweet.
Pausing for a moment, Sullivan looks down at her waist. The area between her wrestling top and tights left bare, where a championship belt would rest.
Ashley Sullivan: Ending tonight here with my hand raised will be a step up from where I’ve been. A victory over the United States champion will be a statement about just how serious I am and just what I aim to accomplish. That begs the question though. Just what does this match mean to Savannah? Does she look at this at a mere inconvenience to her schedule? A warm up for bigger and better things? Consider this a warning if you take the time to watch this, Savannah. Don’t underestimate me. I just might surprise you just like I’ve done to a number of people before. If you’re not careful, you’ll see the ref holding my hand up tonight and then even you’ll have to see the same thing that more and more people are starting to wake up to… that I’m here to finish what I started years ago. And I hate to leave a job unfinished.
Bringing her foot away from the wall, Sullivan nods at the camera before she walks off camera as the video fades out.
