The sun is beating down outside the Cajundome on this warm Saturday afternoon. Outside, in the parking lot, the pair of Dan and Peaches Herrera, as well as some other helpers, are hosting a tailgate party for the FGA fans. Several grills have been set up to cook all the burgers and hot dogs needed. A couple of locals are making an authentic Cajun crawfish boil. And there are beers and sodas aplenty. A couple of hundred fans are circling around the parking lot as Peaches and Dan are seeking some shelter beneath a cover, hiding from the sun with sodas in hand.
Peaches: How long’s that crawfish boil gonna be?
Local Man: Two more minutes, Peaches.
But they’re interrupted by Amanda Johnson as the intrepid interviewer finds her way through the crowd. She greets the former tag champs, who both seem pleased to see her.
Amanda Johnson: Dan! Peaches! Looks like the tailgate party is a big hit.
Dan Herrera: Thanks Amanda. There’s been a few hundred fans so far, but it’s all for a good cause.
Amanda Johnson: Yeah, about that…is that Aries Armadaist?
Amanda asks as she turns around to see the HKW Underground wrestler manning a grill. Several #DEATHSTEAKS on the go - and definitely not the soy based products that some recent customers may have been tricked into buying?
Dan Herrera: Yeah, he heard we were having a cookout to support Evan and he just...showed up with a grill and some #DEATHSTEAKS.
Peaches: Real tasty though. Ain’t gonna complain ‘bout havin’ more help to help support Evan and his fellow vegans.
Amanda pauses for a moment, glancing between Dan and Peaches. They’re both sipping their soda, smiling to themselves as Amanda begins to sense that things aren’t what they might seem. Between the steaks, burgers, hot dogs, and the crawfish, this doesn’t seem very Evan Envi friendly.
Amanda Johnson: Hang on a second. You guys said this was to show your support of Evan, but--
Peaches: There’s a ton of meat, huh? Imagine that. It’s like I said before though, I ain’t ‘bout to support someone who’s dragging my sister in law’s name through the dirt like Evan and his friends have been lately. Hadley’s doin’ her best, an’ she’s doin’ a damn fine job as General Manager of Flashpoint. If only two people on the whole roster have a problem with the way she’s been runnin’ things, then chances are the problem ain’t on Hadley’s end.
Dan Herrera: But Evan and Ricky aren’t about to admit they were out of line. They won’t admit they overstepped their bounds. But they’re on Vertigo now, with the Undisputed Title and their sights set on those new United States tag titles.
Peaches laughs harshly as she shakes her head. She takes the last bite of a burger she had been eating moments before, swallowing it and washing it down with more Pepsi Max as Amanda speaks up.
Amanda Johnson: I was going to ask you about those. Brandon Macdonald took fire at you two on Vertigo last weekend, claiming you’ve been involved in Flashpoint hogging the FGA World Tag Team titles. How do you feel about that?
Peaches: What a load--
Dan Herrera: We, uh, we disagree with the statement.
Dan interrupts his wife, saving her from going off on one. Peaches shakes her head again before speaking.
Peaches: An’ that’s puttin’ it mildly. Brandon Macdonald wants to talk ‘bout how Flashpoint has been getting all the shots - an’ it looks like RIP have bought into that already - but he ignores the fact that he failed to sign Smart Style to Vertigo when they were free agents. He wants to say where are the shots for people like Shootcamp, Firin’ Squad, Maritza & Pedro. Do you think he even realizes Ace left, an’ the Shootcamp members still in FGA ain’t even had a match together lately? Probably why they’ve been replaced in that tournament they just announced, huh?
Dan Herrera: And don’t get me wrong, I like Firing Squad. I like Maritza & Pedro. They’re talented young wrestlers, hungry young talent. But where I come from, you need wins to earn a title shot. Maritza & Pedro’s only recent win was against Ricky & Charlie from SCCW. Same thing for Firing Squad. Pendragon, as much as I like them, I think they’ve only managed draws in tag matches this year? But the real shame of it all is, none of them have been positioning themselves for title shots.
Peaches: RIP might have a shout, they’ve got some decent wins under their belt. But Vertigo wants their own tag titles? Macdonald wants to make some new titles to try and revitalize the tag division over there. Bless his heart. But while they’ve got tag teams, they ain’t got a real tag division.
Dan Herrera: Bristow and Barnes have reappeared though.
Peaches: Don’t get me started on those two. An’ I’m sure the Good Guys bein’ entered in this tournament ain’t just ‘em bein’ catered to, right? Ain’t even had a match together an’ they’re being touted as champions an’ people’s favorite tag team. An’ they had to bring in The Saturnian Connection an’ The Keisters to fill out the tournament bracket too. Nah, you want proper tag wrestlin’, you watch Flashpoint.
Dan Herrera: If they want to try and prove their superiority, they’re welcome to try. Be it with their own tag titles, or trying to make Evan exclusive to Vertigo - I’m sure Hadley can handle that. If they’re putting together a team for a big match at All Star Showdown - Ricky Valero, Kol, Molly Reid and whoever else - then Flashpoint will put together an even better one. Because, at the end of the day, Amanda, the fans know which brand is truly better. And I’ll give you a clue, that brand is right here in Lafayette, Louisiana to put on a show tonight!
With that, Dan & Peaches ‘clink’ their soda bottles together, before Peaches looks over towards the crawfish boil again. The man appears to have made very little progress in the time that’s passed.
Peaches: Chase, how long ‘til those crawfish are ready?
Local Man: Five minutes!
Pause. She turns back to her husband and asks.
Peaches: ...how can it be five minutes, when it was two minutes five minutes ago?
Dan just shrugs his shoulders, unable to properly answer the question before his attention is caught by Aries yelling at a man in a Metallica t-shirt. Fortunately, the show cuts elsewhere before the rant really begins.

Fading in Amanda Johnson is standing by with an excited looking Sage Clark.
Amanda Johnson: Sage, we saw you tonight against Cassius Reed, your first in ring action in over three months. So the question on everybody's mind here is how are you feeling right now?
Sage's smile is an ear to ear grin and he bounces from side to side on the balls of his feet like he is still ready to go despite already been in a match. Seeing Sage on the Jumbotron back in the Cajundome causes an audible roar from the crowd who were clearly happy to see the All-American back in action tonight.
Sage Clark: Are you kidding man, I couldn't feel any better than I do at this moment. I mean did hear this crowd Amanda? They were absolutely unbelievably! Hearing the roar of a live audience that is absolutely amazing and really I have to say more than anything else that is why I became a wrestler, to make the fans lose themselves for just a little while cheering for me. They are what drives to become a better wrestler each and every week and really I just can't thank the fans once again for a really incredible night here in Lafayette, Louisiana!
The crowd pops again at the name of Lafayette, Louisiana causing a bright smile from Amanda who then nods towards Sage and continues.
Amanda Johnson: Now we heard talking in the ring earlier on and from what I can see here you don't look like you're going anywhere.....
Sage is still grinning as he shakes his head no.
Sage Clark: That's because I am not going anywhere anytime soon. I'm a wrestler and this is a wrestling event and so sure I thought I might take in a few matches, maybe grab some soda and a popcorn, you know something like that. The possibilities are endless really when you think about it.
Amanda Johnson: Well then with that being said, is there any match in particular that you would be interested in watching the rest of the night, we do
Sage smirks and shrugs his shoulders.
Sage Clark: I don't know, is there anybody left on the card the recently cost me oh I don't know about three months of my career? Three months where I couldn't here the response from the fans because he was paid to put me on the shelf, so that could say it was nothing personal, just business?
Amanda Johnson: BROOKFORD is who I believe you are referring to yes?
The fire in his eyes is increasingly evident as Sage speaks with conviction.
Sage Clark: I guess if I was BROOKFORD then and I wanted continue to be successful in FGA, then I think he might have to be concerned with what I, Sage Clark am doing, lest he end up losing three months off of his career. I would certainly hate to see something like that were it to happened.
Sage starts to walk off but then comes back, his wide smile back.
Sage Clark: Oh but don't worry because this time Amanda? I will make sure BROOKFORD sees me coming, and this time this is NOT just business because at Only the Strong Survive in the Gold Rush Rumble when I distracted him so he was eliminated we were just getting started because this is damn sure personal!

★★★ SINGLES MATCH ★★★ Tristan Ambrose vs. A.C. Smith The match starts with Smith tossing Ambrose around after three attempts at a collar-and-elbow tie up. Ambrose then charges at Smith for a running shoulder block. But Smith stands his ground as Ambrose bounces off of him. When Ambrose gets back to his feet, he nails Smith with three punches to the face that fail to damage the big man. Ambrose then turns and runs into the far ropes. When Ambrose returns, Smith throws him down with a big back body drop. Ambrose gets a ton of hang time before crashing back-first onto the canvas! The Big Apple Asskicker then takes Ambrose and flings him into the corner. After connecting with a running clothesline, Smith delivers a series of back elbows to the face, followed by a series of knee strikes to the midsection, followed by a series of shoulder thrusts. He then grabs Ambrose and tosses him towards the center of the ring with a release belly to belly suplex. He makes the cover. But he only gets two. Smith continues to exert his dominance by delivering a delayed vertical suplex after holding Ambrose in the air for ten seconds. He turns over for the lateral press. But he only gets a two count. Smith then goes for a belly to back suplex. But Ambrose rolls over his shoulder, lands on his feet, turns and runs into the ropes. When Ambrose returns, Smith throws him down with a thrusting spinebuster! He rolls across Ambrose and hooks the near leg for the cover. But Ambrose gets his shoulder up at two. Smith then scoops Ambrose up across his shoulder and goes for a running powerslam. But at the last second, Ambrose slips down from behind and pushes him into the ropes. When Smith comes back, Ambrose nails him with a roundhouse kick! He then nails Smith with a flurry of forearm smashes. After placing Smith in a clinch, Ambrose delivers knee strikes to the head. He then steps back and hits Smith with a running high knee lift, sending the big man stumbling back. Ambrose then turns and runs into the far ropes. When he returns, he connects with the Lethal Dose (jumping knee strike), sending Smith through the ropes and to the floor! While Smith is down, Ambrose raises his fist in the air to boos from the crowd. The Big Apple Asskicker stirs on the outside while the ref starts counting him out. When the ref’s count reaches ‘seven’, Smith pulls himself back up using the ropes. Ambrose then heads over and connects with a discus clothesline. He then tries to bring Smith back inside with a vertical suplex. But Smith blocks and counters with a vertical suplex to the floor! Smith brings the action back inside and goes to town on Ambrose with rights and lefts to the body. He then sends Ambrose down to the mat with a single leg takedown. The Big Apple Asskicker mounts himself on top of Ambrose and rains down rights and lefts to the face. He pulls Ambrose back up before hitting a DDT for a two count. A Samoan Drop gets a two count. After an irish whip, Smith delivers a clothesline that turns Ambrose inside out! He makes the cover. But Ambrose gets his shoulder up at two. Smith then sets up for a German Suplex when Ambrose blocks. Ambrose continues to counter Smith’s attempts at a German Suplex. He then nails Smith with three back elbows to the face. After delivering a stomp to the foot, Ambrose points to the ref and then points something out in the crowd. When the ref turns to look, Ambrose takes advantage of the distraction and low blows Smith with a mule kick. He follows up with a pelé kick that knocks Smith. He then runs over and connects with another Lethal Dose, which turns Smith around before he drops to a knee. Once Smith gets back to his feet, Ambrose connects with a springboard forearm, knocking him down! After Smith turns over and gets up on all fours, Ambrose runs over, leaps up and drives him down with The Cure (Curb Stomp)! He makes the cover. ONE! TWO! THREE! At first the shot backstage at the Cajundome is rather empty. Then, an exuberant Kendall Kingham bursts into view, seeming fired up and not at all discouraged by her recent bumps in the road.
Kendall Kingham: What's up guys? Last you saw me, it was the Gold Rush Rumble aaaand not gonna lie, didn't accomplish everything I hoped to there. But--
She raises an index finger.
Kendall Kingham:--here’s what I did do. I made sure if Mark Storm was gonna take me out, I was taking him with me, and that was maybe the most important thing. Might not seem that way from the outside, but it's about sticking to my word, about sticking up for myself and just like the Flashpoint Zone has to do as a whole with everything going on right now? About making sure if someone starts a fight with you, that you see it through to the end.
A nod.
Kendall Kingham: That continues tonight when I tag in the main event against him, the doggos and Savannah and it'll keep continuing until I get the job done. And I know it's not all about me. There's plenty more bad blood in this match. But like I tweeted, I'm ready to go to battle alongside Noelle Smith, Brian Stryker, James Edwards-- unanimously voted on Twitter to be known as the Fast & The Furious.
Whirling around, she uses both thumbs to point to the back of her jacket which is airbrushed with a picture of Paul Walker along with the caption ‘it's been a long match without you my friend’. Turning back around to face the camera, she pulls her shutter shades down.
Kendall Kingham: So we’re gonna go out there, and with the big match spotlight on us, no matter the outcome, we’re going to bring the fight to our opponents and show what the Flashpoint Zone is all about-- settling things in the ring! Count on that!

The camera opens on a smiling Amanda Johnson
Amanda Johnson: Please welcome my guest, “Terrific” Terrence Tillman.
The camera turns to Triple T who looks like he wants to smile but doesn't have the strength.
Amanda Johnson: Terrence, your name and success went hand and hand for quite some time. From LDFC to 3GW to right here in the FGA. However recently the opposite can be said. Many of your fans…The T Unit…want to know what’s going on.
Terrence Tillman: You know what I wish I had a good answer for that question. I wish I could say it was all a long con and that I was just waiting for the right moment to spring some amazing game changing moment that I had planned all along. I wish I could say that I am fine…that I’m okay…But Amanda I can’t do that.
Terrence Tillman: See the truth is I lost my way. I lost my drive. Hell real talk…I just lost. A year ago around this time I was the 15 Champion. I was proud, I was respected. I was where I wanted to be. But since then I’m not even in the running for a title. I’m barely even on the card. My team up with Robbie Black amounted to nothing, and at this point I only have a couple of options.
Terrence Tillman: The easy option is to let it get to me. Turn my back on the fans that still rep T–Unit when they see me. Hell let’s be real I’ve done it before right? It’s the reason why to this day I don’t have many friends in the locker room. Another easy option is to just chalk it up to not being good enough. Just giving up and giving in to the rigors of being in this profession. Go home and pretend it was the best thing.
Terrence Tillman: Or I could just stay complacent with making everyone else on the roster look good at my expense. Stop aspiring to be the “top” guy. And just be happy to be here until the higher ups cut the budget and trim me off like fat on a steak.
Triple T chuckles to himself, finally mustering a smile for the first time.
Terrence Tillman: Or you can do what I did. You dig deep and search for that fire you once had. You search your soul, you search your heart and when you can’t find it you keep searching and you ask for help. You look to people that know you. People that had your back from day ZERO. Someone who understands blood, sweat and tears...because that same blood courses through their veins. Amanda I may not have a whole bunch of friends…but I do have family.
T looks past Amanda causing her to turn around only to be face to chest to Triple T’s massive cousin, Former SAP National Champion Vince Steel. Steel, wearing his Eastside Beast tank top smiles down at Amanda while flexing his arm and pecks.
Vince Steel: ‘Sup Ma?
With that the cousins walk off leaving Amanda stunned at the arrival of Vince Steel.

After Sullivan bounces off his knees, BROOKFORD lifts her up and throws her down with a sitout powerbomb! He then drags Sullivan back over towards the ropes. BROOKFORD drapes Sullivan across the top rope and has her set up for the Problem Solved (Dragon screw neck whip) when Sage Clark climbs up onto the apron. Incensed at the sight of The All-American, BROOKFORD lets go of Sullivan, runs over and tries to grab Clark. But Clark jumps down to the floor. BROOKFORD and Clark continue to argue when Sullivan connects with a spinning heel kick to the back of the head! As BROOKFORD tries to pick himself back up, Sullivan heads into the ropes, bounces back and brings BROOKFORD down with Pink Velvet (Lethal Injection! While the majority of the Flashpoint roster are either preparing for their matches or are winding down having already competed, elsewhere in the Cajundome we find Johnny Karma holding open the door to his locker room so that Cherry Baum can follow him into the room - and it soon becomes obvious why, as her arm is still clad in a cast she'd worn since NEON assaulted her the last time she was able to attend a Flashpoint taping
Once Cherry is inside, Karma lets go of the door so that gravity can do its work and let the door swing shut, at which point he turns around to check on her
Johnny Karma: How're you feeling?
Cherry Baum: I'm not made of glass you know.
Cherry shoots Karma a smile, letting him know that her last comment wasn't as critical as it may have sounded
Cherry Baum: So what have I missed since I've been away?
Johnny Karma: Well there's the obvious...
Letting out a subtle - but not that subtle - sigh, Karma gestures towards the spot on his shoulder where a title belt used to reside
Johnny Karma: ...and the other major headline at the moment is it only took three months before Brandon Macdonald went mad with power, not only calling a bunch of power plays to try and spirit the Undisputed Championship over to Vertigo so half the roster would never see it again, and because he had a little extra madness to go around he decided that he also wanted his own tag team titles so he could turn his brand into his own personal fiefdom. So...yeah, it's been a little busy around here while you've been out, all things considered.
It looks as if Karma's finished, but then he remembers something else
Johnny Karma: Oh yeah, I nearly forgot, our GM is currently thankful that authority figures don't receive performance evaluations in the middle of the ring during shows, because a lot of what's happening over on Vertigo comes in no small part to an admin error that, frankly, Hadley should've spotted. I'm sure there's half a dozen members of the roster either resisting the urge to mention this to her right now in spite of really wanting to, or they thought they may as well throw it in as they lobby for...whatever they're lobbying for.
Cherry Baum: I'm going to guess he didn't like you showing up on Vertigo, then?
Johnny Karma: Oh no, he was very accommodating. In fact he made sure there were half a dozen arena staff there to take care of my every want and need, that is assuming my every want and need involved leaving the arena whether I wanted to or not, or having half a dozen guys drag me out of the arena via the loading bay.
Cherry Baum: I don't think sarcasm is the best coping mechanism, J-K.
Johnny Karma: Probably not, but I figure it's best to at least try and see the funny side of what's going on around here, at least while it's still possible to because things like this don't resolve themselves in a couple of weeks. Besides, much as he wants to deny it, it's still possible that Macdonald's grand plans could be derailed before they ever got started when Envi learns he can't kick two opponents in the beytsim at the same time, rendering his most effective tactic next to useless.
Karma looks like he's going to continue, but he notices Cherry grimace - and this isn't a grimace to indicate he's said something dumb, more one of genuine discomfort
Johnny Karma: Are you okay?
Cherry Baum: Just a little...yeah, I should've taken one of my painkillers before we left the hotel, but I thought I could get by. Can you pass me my bag?
Quick as a flash, Karma grabs Cherry's rucksack and unzips it, carrying it over and placing it as near as possible to her. Using her good hand, Cherry rummages through the contents of the bag, but can't seem to find what she needs
Cherry Baum: Goddamn it...
Johnny Karma: What happened?
Cherry Baum: I must've left the bottle back at the hotel.
For a moment Karma is quiet, save the exhalation through his nose when faced with the problem, and he considers the options
Johnny Karma: Then we'll go back and get them.
Cherry is taken aback by Karma's suggestion, performing a genuine double take
Cherry Baum: ...are you sure?
Johnny Karma: Unless you've got the scrip on you, it's the only option we have.
Cherry Baum: No, I mean...are you sure it's okay to bail on the show? It's not like this is an emergency.
Without a second's thought, Karma makes his intentions clear
Johnny Karma: If anyone has a problem they can dock my salary, because there's no way I'm going to hang around backstage knowing you need help, not anymore. In fact, wait here a moment...
Immediately turning on his heels, Karma steps out of the locker room into the corridor, pulling out his phone and having a barely-audible conversation with (presumably) Hadley Herrera and, based on how short the conversation is before Karma's already walking back into the locker room, it's a pretty one-sided one
Johnny Karma: Are you ready?
Cherry Baum: How'd the conversation go?
Johnny Karma: I'll probably get yelled at later, but later's later.
Without another word, Karma zips up Cherry's back and lifts it onto his shoulder, before grabbing his own bag and wheeling it along the floor as he heads for the door. A second later, Cherry lifts herself off the bench and follows him, absent-mindedly trying to rub some feeling into her arm even though she’s wearing a cast, still looking in some discomfort as the pair head towards the arena exit.

MAIN EVENT ★★★ EIGHT MAN TAG TEAM MATCH ★★★ Savannah Taylor, Mark Storm, Liam Richardson III, Qiang Chen vs. Noelle Smith, Kendall Kingham, Brian Stryker, James Edwards They match starts with an all out brawl between the two sides. Noelle Smith goes back and forth with Savannah Taylor. Mark Storm trade blows with Kendall Kingham. Liam Richardson III exchanges blows with Brian Stryker. James Edwards lets out a ballistic combination of rights and lefts to the body of Qiang Chen. But The Golden Bull knocks him down with a headbutt. He then picks up Edwards, launches him into the corner, runs across the ring and connects with a corner body avalanche. Across the ring, Smith takes Taylor, whips her into the ropes and throws out a hurricanrana. But she does so too early, allowing Taylor to hang onto the ropes and watch her crash onto the canvas. After Smith smacks the back of her head against the canvas, she slowly turns over on all fours. As the former U.S. Champion tries to get back to her feet, the reigning two-time U.S. Champion runs over and brings her down with The Gamble (corkscrew neckbreaker)! Across the ring, Kingham takes Storm and whips him into the ropes. When Storm returns, Kingham throws out a Samoan Spike. But Storm ducks, lifts her up from behind and throws her down with a Sitout Face Slam! Meanwhile, Stryker is lighting up Richardson with repeated knife edge chops. He then turns and heads into the ropes. When Stryker comes back, he goes for a crossbody block. But Richardson catches him in mid air. The Assassin then lifts Storm up across his shoulders, runs across the ring and brings him down with a rolling fireman’s carry. Richardson pops up to his feet, leaps onto the middle ropes, flips back and connects with a moonsault! As the match continues, Taylor and the Dogs of War are going to town on their respective opponents in each individual corner. Taylor, Storm Richardson and Chen all turn and look back towards each other. On cue, they go for an irish whip. But Smith, Kingham, Stryker and Edwards reverse, sending their opponents crashing in the middle of the ring. Taylor, Storm and Richardson all crumble to the mat after colliding with The Golden Bull. Meanwhile, Chen is dazed on his feet. So Kingham runs over and connects with a European Uppercut, which knocks him back. Smith then runs into the ropes. When she returns, she connects with an uppercut elbow, which knocks Chen further back. Edwards then runs over and blasts him with the Double Tap (consecutive spinning backfists). As Chen is knocked back towards the ropes, Stryker turns and runs into the far ropes. When he comes back, he executes a running hurricanrana, sending Chen through the ropes and to the floor. Richardson then runs over to attack Stryker. But Stryker ducks and dumps him over the top rope, sending him falling to the floor. Kingham then takes Storm and whips him into the ropes. When Storm returns, Kingham rocks him with a roundhouse kick before knocking him down with a Samoan Spike. She then stomps the FGA 15 Champion to the outside. Smith then takes the Las Vegas Siren and sends her into the ropes. As soon as Taylor bounces off the ropes, Smith connects with a running front dropkick, knocking Taylor through the ropes and to the floor. As Taylor and the Dogs of War get up on the outside, Stryker, Smith, Edwards and Kingham all run into the far ropes. When they return, Edwards leaps through the ropes and takes out Richardson with a suicide dive! Kingham leaps through the ropes and takes out Storm with a suicide European Uppercut! Smith flips over the top rope and takes out Taylor with a topé con hilo! Stryker then takes out Chen with a springboard Shooting Star Splash! As the match continues, Kingham works over Richardson’s arm. She delivers a japanese arm drag into an arm bar. After Richardson battles back to his feet, Kingham delivers an armbreaker across her shoulder before bringing him down with a double knee armbreaker for a two count. A single arm DDT also gets a two count. Kingham sends Richardson shoulder-first into the canvas with an arm wringer. She then gets down, applies a grounded hammerlock and delivers repeated knee drops to the arm. Tag out to Smith, who puts Richardson in a Muay Thai Clinch. The former U.S. Champ moves the Dogs of War member into the corner and delivers multiple knee strikes to the midsection. The last of which, a jumping knee strike, doubles Richardson over. She then brings him out of the corner with the Flip Trip (snapmare) before following up with a dropkick to the back of the head for a two count.
