Amanda Johnson: Ladies and gentlemen, Chandler Scott...

The crowd roars with cheers as Chandler Scott enters the picture. There are some noticeable catcalls from the females in the crowd. But Chandler is all business here tonight and doesn't play up to the FGA fans.

Amanda Johnson: Chandler, it was recently announced that you will be going one on one with Heather Lasiewicz for the first time ever at Trouble in Paradise. Any nerves heading into such a big match?

Chandler Scott: Nerves? No nerves at all. As I've said in the past, I get up for matches like this. You look forward to being matches like this. When the spotlight is shining bright and all eyes are on you and your opponent. This is a match that could headline a pay per view. That's the level of skill that's involved here in this match.  I'm looking forward to it. But nervous? No. Big Shot Scott doesn't get nervous. In fact, I tend to do pretty well in these "First Time Ever" matches. I'm pretty sure we all remember All-Star Showdown. But the difference between that match and this is simple. You see, even though things got testy towards myself and Felicity Banks towards the end, at the end of the match, there was still mutual respect. At the end of the day, she still shook my hand. And had I been the one that lost that night, I would have been man enough to shake her hand. In this match? There's not going to be any handshakes. But there will be plenty of neck wringing when I get my hands on heather Lasiewicz!

A pop is heard from the crowd.

Chandler Scott: See, Heather thinks this is all one huge game. The taunts, the mockery. She thinks she's being cute being this rabble rouser. This mischief maker. This agent of chaos or whatever the hell she's calling her little subservient role to Izzy Anders. But she's not being cute. She's not being clever. She's a damn irritant. It's clear that Heather hasn't lost any physical abilities in the ring. But it's also clear that she's lost her mind. If Heather thinks that playing with me is going to result in anything other than her getting knocked out, then she's in for one hell of a wakeup call on September Ninth.

Another roar of cheers from the crowd.

Chandler Scott: You know, Amanda, most people go to Hawaii for a little R & R. Most people go to Hawaii to take in the sights, you know? But Heather isn't flying to Hawaii for a vacation. Heather isn't flying to Hawaii to get her tan on. Heather is flying to Hawaii to get her ass kicked by the DNA of FGA! Which is exactly what's going to happen at Trouble in Paradise - which is such an appropriate name for this event. Last year, her husband and SalTal flew to the island, put on a hell of a match against TROUBLE and got himself a win. She won't be so fortunate on September Ninth.

Chandler Scott: But it doesn't stop here. Oh no it doesn't. Because you see, once I get done with that trashbox in three weeks on Pay Per View, I'm turning my attention to our "esteemed" Undisputed Champion, Uggo Anders. Oh yeah, she thought it was real funny when she had Yun and the Prideless Champion hold me up after their gang attack. She thought it was real funny as she had me at her mercy. She laughed. She chuckled. She snickered. She giggled. Izzy was smiling so hard, you would have thought that piece of trash McHannon walked right back through those doors. You know what I find funny? Izzy Anders getting dumped right on her head...

Another pop.

Chandler Scott: ... which is exactly what was going to happen until, SURPRISE SURPRISE, she needed someone to save her at the last second yet again. Well let me just send a message to our prestigious Champion. I don't know what my fate holds on September Tenth. No one knows where we're going once this draft happens. But you better hope and pray that the two of us don't land on the same roster. Because if we do, title or no title, you're up next.

[FGA Office]

We cut to another area backstage where our Baltimore audience immediately unleashes a mixed reaction upon seeing the Evan Envi. The Chief is seated somewhere in the backstage area, just a few steps from catering. He is still using a hand-towel to wipe the stained black mist off of his face, muttering under his breath.

???: Ah. There he is!

Evan Envi lowers the towel and looks up in the direction of the voices with a glare. The camera pans out a bit and the Baltimore crowd cheers as Ashlyn De Luca and Logan Alexander of Chaotics step into view. Ashlyn gives Evan a once-over and winces a bit.

Ashlyn De Luca: Rough night?

Evan doesn’t say anything but continues to glare up at the two. Several moments pass with the three in silence before Evan takes a breath and lowers the towel, folding it up in his hands. He stares forward and shakes his head a little. Ashlyn raises a brow, glancing toward Logan with a shrug before looking back at Evan.

Ashlyn De Luca: I know what’ll make it better.

Evan tiredly looks up at her.

Ashlyn De Luca: Watching us smack the holy hell up out of Chainsaw & Rowe and walk right into Patriot Games. I mean-- I dunno how well you’re gonna be able to ‘see it’ but if you turn the volume way, way up, Geoff does a pretty sick job on commentary. You’ll know what’s goin’ on.

Logan winces slightly in response to that barb.

Logan Alexander: Easy there partner. He’s had a rough night. He really doesn’t need that much sarcasm.

Evan slowly looks from Logan to Ashlyn and back.

Evan Envi: All I wanted was to be a part of this.

Evan, with less patience, wipes at his eyes again with the towel, face growing a bit red.

Evan Envi: Even when you both snubbed me when signing up for this, and even when you didn’t wear my shirt, I just wanted to at least be there for you guys. Because I figured no one else WOULD be. But you know what I’ve learned today? You know what the heck I figured out in UnCharming City?

The besmirching of the name draws a loud chorus of boos from Envi’s hometown crowd, but he continues.

Evan Envi: You put too much faith in your friends and it comes back to bite you. Or comes back to spit poison mist in your face-- even the ones that don’t want anything from you! So you know what? I don’t care. I don’t care if you guys don’t make it to Patriot Games. You don’t care what I think anyway. You guys are selfish.

Logan raises an eyebrow.

Logan Alexander: Says the pot to the kettle.

The crowd lets out a loud ‘OHHHHH!!’ in response to that. Evan looks back down at his towel, wiping his fingertips on it, avoiding immediate eye contact with Logan. Logan moves closer and crouches down to get eye level with Evan. Evan takes a small breath and narrows his eyes at Alexander.

Logan Alexander: You reap what you sow in this business Evan. How many years have you been going around telling everyone that things are all about you? You’re always bragging and boasting. You talk yourself up incessantly. Are you really that surprised when people don’t consider your support to be genuine? That they suspect that all you’re really looking to do is use them to prop yourself back up? Do I even need to go and list the people that you’ve brought in around you over the years that you had hang around for a while, and then you casually discard them when you feel they aren’t of any use to you?

Ashlyn speaks quietly behind her hand.

Ashlyn De Luca: It’s a long list, I think.

Logan Alexander: I’m sure that this is all stuff that you really don’t want to hear. It’s stuff that you need to hear though. If you want people to trust you and really believe you, you are going to have to do a lot of work to change their minds. And don’t forget that with Dom playing a lot of people recently, that everyone is going to be more skeptical of anyone claiming to turn over a new leaf now.

Logan stands back up.

Logan Alexander: One thing you need to keep in mind though… is that we didn’t close the door on you when you came to see us the first week of Dynamic Duos. We heard you out and we said we’d consider everything you said down the line, after the tournament was over. And here you are, display exactly why I told you that you’d have to wait. We don’t need this extra distraction right now.

Ashlyn subtly nods in agreement, still speaking behind her hand as Envi’s eyes quickly drift toward her.

Ashlyn De Luca: He’s right. It’s a bad look.

Envi rolls his eyes, looking back toward Logan.

Logan Alexander: I’ve done a lot over the years with you Evan, and I’ve never attempted to lead you astray. You really should step back from all of this right now. You’ve done a lot of damage and meddling further in things isn’t going to help you or the people involved, regardless of what your motivations are behind it.

Ashlyn nods again once Evan’s eyes inevitably drift back toward her. The Chief’s expression is one of annoyance, but thoughtfulness.

Logan Alexander: Come September, after Trouble in Paradise, after Patriot Games, we can have a more in depth discussion about all of these things. I’d suggest you make use of that time and get yourself sorted out.

Once he’s certain neither of the two are going to continue, Evan finally places his hands on his knees and pushes himself up to his feet. Gaze still down at the towel in his hands for a moment, Envi balls it up and holds it aside, looking directly into Logan’s eyes.

Evan Envi: Yeah.

Envi blinks rapidly, possibly due to the mist. He moves past Logan.

Evan Envi: Yeah. Think I will.

He lets the hand-towel fall to the ground and continues to walk past the two… but his shoes screech across the floor as he comes to a stop. After a few seconds, Evan finally turns and looks at Ashlyn, who gives a faint smile. Evan nods a little, looking at Logan one final time.

Evan Envi: Be safe out there.

He turns and continues down the hall, still moving slowly, shoulders still lowered in defeat. Logan watches Evan leave then glances to Ashlyn. Ashlyn winces a bit at what’s just transpired but can merely shrug in response. She turns, looking at Logan, giving him a solid smack on the bum.

Ashlyn De Luca: Good talk. Letsgitit.

Ashlyn strolls off down the corridor without another word. Logan snorts softly, smirks at his partner and then follows her as they head out for their match.

Logan Alexander: As you say, mayor. It shall be done.

We fade to black on now-empty corridor.

DDT3 QUARTERFINALS
The Chaotics vs. Chainsaw & Rowe

As the house lights fade, Feel Good Inc. by Leo Moracchioli blasts out through the arena, as out from the back come two thirds of the SSWA Trios Champions: Holly Chainsaw and Kenzie Rowe! The pair stomp around the entranceway, flipping the bird to the booing crowd as they go.

Melanie Sierra: On their way to the ring, at a combined weight of 267 pounds… “HORRORSHOW” HOLLY CHAINSAW… AND KENZIE ROWE!

The pair pose together a moment, Kenzie crouching low, Holly standing tall, before they both head down to the ring. As fans reach out to them, they brush them off, concentrating on approaching the ring. Holly slowly climbs the ring steps, before walking out onto the apron, whilst Kenzie hops up there in a single bound, the pair each hooking one leg over the middle rope before turning back out to the crowd. They flip them off, before slipping into the ring under the top rope, and making their way to a corner, the pair sharing a private joke with each other whilst waiting.

Geoff Penzer: The team of Chainsaw and Rowe have made it here to the quarterfinals by defeating the likes of Hereditary Beerage, as well as the random pairing of The Crimson Baroness and Jensen Banks. Is this where the road ends? Here tonight in Baltimore? Or will they be the third team to advance to the Semifinals of the 2017 Dynamic Duos Tournament?

The lights in the arena slowly fade to darkness. While this hushes some members of the audience, others grow loud in anticipation. “Deadcruiser” hits the PA system and a silver-blue strobe begins to dance near the top of the ramp, revealing a feminine figure with a hoodie thrown over wrestling gear, back turned toward the ring. As the lights in the arena begin to systematically brighten, it becomes clear that the figure is Ashlyn De Luca. The arena plunges into darkness once more, earning a cheap pop from the live audience for theatrics-- before all of the lights scream to life, casting a blinding glow down on the pair at the top of the ramp. While Ashlyn De Luca now faces the ring, arms still above her head, our camera swing to reveal Logan standing with his back to hers, arms held out straight to the side. Ashlyn lowers her arms, pointing a two-handed “finger gun” toward the camera with a smirk, though she abandons it as she and the hooded Logan Alexander abruptly part, marching toward the ring with a purpose.

Melanie Sierra: And their opponents, making their way to the ring at a total combined weight of 368 pounds! They are the team of Logan Alexander and Ashlyn De Luca… THE CHAOTICS!

Reaching the bottom of the ramp, Ashlyn pauses just once to survey the audience while Logan walks to the ring apron, stepping inside. Ashlyn ever-so-faintly smiles into the audience again before rushing to the barricade. Our hard camera takes over, with Ashlyn leaping onto the barricade, arms wide as she screams back out into the raucous audience. Behind her, Logan mounts the bottom-and-middle ropes, arms held to his side in a similar pose. Ashlyn drops from the barricade, sliding into the ring beneath the ropes and Logan, hopping to her feet on the opposite side of the ring, screaming out into the other side of the audience as they rise to their feet. Logan drops down from the ropes and bumps forearms with De Luca in the center of the ring as they pass each other, mounting opposite corners to look out into the masses. The Chaotics remove their hoodies, tossing them simultaneously into the crowd as their music fades.

Geoff Penzer: Years ago, Logan Alexander had one heck of a run as part of “M&M” with Aubrey J. Parker. Thus far, he has found tag team success here again with the reigning SSWA World Champion, Ashlyn De Luca. This duo has defeated GBH, as well as Tommy & The Guns. Tonight, they face a team that it not only tough, but has championship experience as well. With the distraction that is Evan Envi behind them for now, their sole focus will be on Chainsaw & Rowe.

The bell sounds as Alexander and Rowe start things off. After jockeying for position, Rowe gains the advantage with an arm wrench. Chaos Stryke can be seen cringing as Rowe delivers two more arm wrenches. The ref asks him if he wants to give up. But he refuses. Alexander then reaches over, reverses into an arm wrench of his own and transitions into a side headlock. After delivering a couple of shots to the ribs, Rowe pushes Alexander off and into the ropes. When he returns, he knocks her down with a running shoulder block. Alexander then runs into another set of ropes as Rowe returns to a vertical base. When Alexander comes back, he runs over Rowe with another shoulder block. Alexander runs into a third set of ropes while Rowe picks herself up off the mat. When Alexander returns, the crowd boos when Rowe knocks him down with a dropsault. She makes the cover.

Rowe picks up Alexander and goes for an irish whip. But Alexander reverses, sending her into the ropes. When Rowe returns, Alexander goes for a back body drop. But Rowe slips down from behind. After wrapping her arms around Alexander’s waist, he runs towards the ropes, wraps his arms around the top rope and yanks back, sending Rowe flying off his back. After Rowe hits the canvas and rolls up to her feet, Alexander runs over and throws her down with the Chaotic Impact (STO). He makes the cover.

Rowe gets her shoulder up.

Alexander picks up Rowe, wrenches her arm, drags her over to the Chaotics corner and tags in Ashlyn De Luca. The crowd cheers  as “Ash Shmurda” gets in the ring and nails Rowe with a boot to the midsection. She then rattles off a series of quick jabs before knocking Rowe down with a European Uppercut. Rowe returns to her feet only to get returned to the mat by another European Uppercut. Once Rowe gets back up, De Luca sends her back down to the canvas. This time with a side headlock takedown. De Luca keeps the move applied while she talks all the trash to Rowe. But Rowe is able to grab a hold of De Luca and turn over into a pinning combination.

After both grapplers scramble back to a vertical base, Rowe sends De Luca flipping down to the canvas with an enzuigiri. She makes the cover.

Rowe picks up De Luca, runs across the ring and slams her face-first into the top turnbuckle before tagging Holly Chainsaw in.

The crowd boos as Chainsaw gets in, turns De Luca around and nearly drives the air out of her with several shoulder thrusts to the midsection. She then nails De Luca with a series of clubbing shots across the back before bringing her out of the corner and whipping her into the far ropes. When De Luca returns, Chainsaw throws out a running lariat. But De Luca ducks and runs into the opposite set of ropes. When she comes back, she brings Chainsaw down with a running hurricanrana. When Chainsaw gets back to her feet, De Luca runs over and connects with a front dropkick, knocking Chainsaw through the ropes and to the apron. As Chainsaw pulls herself up using the ropes, De Luca runs over and rocks her with an elbow smash. She then nails Chainsaw with another elbow smash before following up with a stiff European Uppercut. De Luca then turns and runs into the adjacent sets of ropes. When she returns, she leaps over the top rope, lands on Chainsaw’s shoulders and delivers a hurricanrana that sends her to the floor.

Geoff Penzer: What a move by De Luca!

De Luca picks up Chainsaw on the outside and rolls her back in before sliding in and making the cover.

De Luca picks up Chainsaw, wrenches the arm, drags her over into the Chaotics corner and tags Alexander back in. Once Alexander gets in, he wrenches the arm before bringing Chainsaw to the mat with a russian leg sweep. He makes the cover.

Alexander picks up Chainsaw and whips her into the ropes. When she returns, Alexander doubles her over with a punch to the midsection before delivering a pendulum backbreaker. He then heads into the corner, hoists himself up onto the middle ropes and delivers an elbow drop. Alexander makes the cover.

Alexander picks up Chainsaw whips her arm into the corner and runs into an adjacent set of ropes. As Chainsaw staggers from out of the corner, Alexander grabs her and goes for a running bulldog. But Chainsaw shoves him off of her and into the ropes (where Rowe kicks him in the back). When Alexander returns, Chainsaw delivers a lariat takedown. After returning to her feet, she runs over and follows up with a senton. The boos continue as she turns over and makes the cover.

Chainsaw picks up Alexander, moves him into the corner and tags Rowe back in. The crowd boos as Chainsaw & Rowe stomp Alexander down into the corner before Rowe applies a foot choke.

Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR…

Rowe lets go. She then steps back towards the center of the ring, runs towards the corner and connects with a running crossbody. She then drags Alexander from out of the corner before making the cover.

Rowe picks up Alexander and delivers a straight jacket neckbreaker before stepping back out onto the apron and delivering a slingshot senton. She turns over and makes the cover.

Geoff Penzer: The team of Chainsaw & Rowe are really starting to fire on all cylinders after The Chaotics got the better of them early on.

Rowe picks up Alexander and goes for an irish whip. But Alexander reverses, sending Rowe into the ropes. When she comes back, Alexander stuns her with a superkick before stepping back and knocking her off her feet with a second superkick. As Chainsaw gets in the ring and rushes over to attack, Alexander turns around and knocks her off her feet with a superkick. When Alexander turns around, he gets knocked down to a knee after a low dropkick to the leg. Once Rowe returns to her feet, she nails Alexander with a superkick… then a second… then a third. While Alexander is dazed, Rowe heads over, places him in a front facelock and plants him with a kneeling DDT. The boos continue as she pushes Alexander over and makes the cover.

The crowd cheers when De Luca goes over and breaks up the pin with a stomp to the back.

Geoff Penzer: Good save there by De Luca.

While De Luca heads back to her position on the apron, Rowe picks up Alexander and throws out a step-up enzuigiri. But Alexander ducks and quickly applies an ankle lock.

Geoff Penzer: Alexander ducked the enzuigiri and catches Rowe in an ankle lock!

The crowd cheers as Alexander tries to twist the ankle. The ref asks Rowe if she wants to give up. After she refuses, Alexander applies even more pressure. The crowd continue to cheer Alexander as he fights for the submission. But the cheers turn to boos when he gets knocked down with a missile dropkick from Chainsaw. The boos continue as Chainsaw taunts them by flipping the double bird.

Geoff Penzer: Chainsaw came flying out of nowhere and made the save!

While Chainsaw’s back in the corner, Rowe rolls out onto the apron and pulls herself up. She can be seen waving up Alexander while he turns over onto all fours. Once he gets back to his feet and turns around, Rowe goes to a springboard dropkick. But Alexander swats her down and quickly locks her in the Perfect Chaos Theory (Edgecator).

Geoff Penzer: Alexander counters into another submission!

The crowd cheers as Rowe can be seen howling in pain. The ref asks Rowe if she wants to give up. When she refuses, Alexander applies even more pressure.

Geoff Penzer: He’s got Rowe trapped with nowhere to go!

Having seen enough, Chainsaw gets back in the ring and goes over to attack. But she’s cut off by De Luca, who leaps up and catches her in a front guillotine choke.

Geoff Penzer: De Luca’s got the guillotine choke on Chainsaw!

Alexander continues to fight for the submission while De Luca tries to choke out Chainsaw. The Horrorshow is then able to fight through the pain, grab De Luca and runs forward, ramming her into Alexander and breaking the hold. The crowd erupts with boos.

Once Chainsaw and De Luca get back to their feet, Chainsaw nails her with a right hand. De Luca comes back with a punch of her own. Chainsaw then nails her with another right hand. De Luca comes back with a right of her own. Chainsaw then socks De Luca with a right hand. After shaking off the punch, De Luca socks Chainsaw with a punch of her own. She then cuts off Chainsaw with repeated elbow smashes. Each elbow  knocks Chainsaw back closer and closer to the ropes. De Luca then runs over and connects with the Syxx Kick (running double spinning wheel kick), knocking Chainsaw through the ropes and to the outside.

Back in the ring, Rowe runs up from behind and rolls up Alexander with a schoolboy.

Alexander kicks out

After both grapples scramble back to their feet, Rowe rushes back over to attack. This time, Alexander scoops her up across his shoulders to set up the Chaotic Revolution (Cradle Shock). But Rowe is able to nail him with repeated elbows to the side of the head. After slipping down from behind, she shoves Alexander into the ropes. When he returns, he leaps over and spears her down.

While Rowe is curled up in pain, Alexander turns over onto all fours and starts to crawl over towards the Chaotics’ corner. De Luca can be seen with her arm held out. Alexander then leaps over to make the tag. Just as his palm is about to slap De Luca’s, she’s yanked off the canvas by Chainsaw. The crowd erupts with boos as De Luca smacks her face on the apron before crumbling to the floor. Chainsaw picks up De Luca and whips her hard into the guardrail. After her body crashes into the steel guardrail, the SSWA World Champion crumbles to the floor. Chainsaw basks in the boos as she makes her way back over on the outside towards her corner.

Geoff Penzer: Chainsaw just prevented Alexander fro making a much needed tag!

Back inside, Alexander turns around and gets caught by a springboard dropkick from Rowe. She then heads across the ring and waits for Alexander to get back up. Once Chaos Stryker returns to his feet, Rowe runs over before bringing him down with a Sling Blade. She then returns to her feet before heading into the ropes and connecting with handspring Phoenix Splash. The boos continue as she hooks the far leg for the cover.

The crowd cheers when Alexander gets his shoulder up.

After bringing Alexander back to his feet, Rowe nails him with a hard punch to the face before turning and running towards the ropes. Rowe goes for a handspring back elbow. But Alexander counters by grabbing her in mid air and delivering a backdrop suplex all in one smooth motion. Cheers and applause are heard while both grapplers are down. After checking on both participants, the ref starts his count.

Alexander and Rowe slowly pick themselves up off the mat. Rowe rushes over to attack. But she doubled over with a boot to the midsection before getting spiked with the Chaotic Shockwave (impact DDT). He turns over and makes the cover.

The crowd boos when Chainsaw breaks up the pin with a senton across the back.

Geoff Penzer: Another timely save from Chainsaw! She’s been in all the right places in there tonight!

While Chainsaw heads back out onto the apron, Alexander rolls off of Rowe. After the two grapplers lay there for about three seconds, Rowe turns over and gets back to a vertical base. She then stomps away on Alexander before heading over and tagging Chainsaw back in. Rowe heads back over, picks up Alexander and whips him over towards the corner, where Chainsaw knocks him down with a springboard lariat. The boos continue as she moves him into position before stepping back out onto the apron. After scaling to the top turnbuckle, Chainsaw dives off for a senton bomb. But instead of hitting the move, she crashes across Alexander’s knee, results in cheers from the crowd.

Geoff Penzer: He got the knees up!

Chainsaw archers her back in pain as Alexander begins to drag himself across the ring. The crowd leaps to their feet once they see De Luca pulls herself up onto the apron.

Geoff Penzer: There’s De Luca! She’s back up!

Chainsaw turns over and pulls herself up using the ropes while Alexander continues to drag himself across the ring.

Geoff Penzer: Alexander’s almost there!

Chainsaw looks over at Rowe, who is frantically pointing across the ring. When Chainsaw turns around, she sees Alexander nearing the Chaotics’ corner. So she rushes over to go and drag him back. But just as she’s about to grab a hold of his ankles, Alexander dives over and tags De Luca back.

Geoff Penzer: De Luca’s back in!

The crowd explodes with cheers when De Luca gets in and bashes Chainsaw with a running elbow strike. She then knocks Chainsaw back down with another running elbow… and another. De Luca then runs over and knocks Rowe off the apron with a running elbow strike. Before De Luca can turns around, Chainsaw throws her down with a release German Suplex. Chainsaw picks up De Luca and whips her into the turnbuckles. She then runs across the ring and goes for a running double knee in the corner. But De Luca rolls out of the way, causing Chainsaw to crash into the turnbuckles. As Chainsaw picks herself back up, De Luca rushes over and plants her with a springboard Tornado DDT. Chainsaw slowly turns over and gets up on a knee. But she’s quickly knocked back down by a Shining Wizard. Alexander then gets in and whips Chainsaw into the ropes When Chainsaw comes back, the Chaotics deliver the C5 (flapjack/leaping high faceplant combination). The cheers continue as De Luca makes the cover while Alexander stays on lookout.

[FGA Office]

The show fades back in from commercial. Already in the ring are Nate Bristow and Tully Barnes. Still fresh off their match earlier in the evening, the tag-team duo of Thy Kingdom Come are ready to fight once again. There’s no chuckling between friends. No nonsense. The look in their eyes now is far more focused on dismantling their forthcoming foe as they bask in the fury of the capacity crowd on hand.

Geoff Penzer: Look at these two savages ready to tear into anyone who dares cross their path. They are despicable!

That’s when the music hit, sending the fans into a frenzy. “Adrenaline” by Nine Lashes blares over the speakers and within seconds, Elon Elysian emerges from the back with fire in his hands and a plan of action ready in his mind.

Geoff Penzer: I can’t believe Elon is really coming out here to fight these two monsters by himself!

Elon is walking at first, eyeballing his nemeses inside the ring. They’re staring right back with devilish smirks, ready to devour Elon the moment he hits the ring. And with a deep breath, that’s exactly what he takes off for, sprinting to the ring and sliding under the bottom rope. When he does, Bristow & Barnes pounce.

Geoff Penzer: Here we go!

They quickly put the boots to Elon as he valiantly fights them off. He connects with a strong right hand that staggers Barnes, then starts exchanging blows with Bristow, knocking him back into the corner. The crowd is on their feet as Elon continues to rally, but his onslaught is cut short when Barnes clubs Elon across the back. Once again, Bristow & Barnes go on the offensive, stomping a mudhole in Elon in the corner of the ring as the crowd boos.

Geoff Penzer: Elon is in a world of trouble right now. The odds are just stacked too high against him. He can’t do this by himself!

Barnes picks Elon up and irish whips him face first into the ring post. Elon stagger back towards the center of the ring and walks into a spinning spinebuster from Nate Bristow. Elon writhes in pain as Bristow and Barnes circle their prone prey. Barnes mounts Elon and begins to rain down on him drawing boos from the crowd. He stands up and delivers a pointed elbow drop. Then another. Then a third. Barnes disrespectfully slaps the taste out of Elon’s mouth while screaming at him that Thy Kingdom Come are the best in the world. He asks Elon if he understands before slapping him again to a chorus of boos.

Geoff Penzer: Tully Barnes is unleashing hell on Elon! And wait- Oh my God!

A loud bang rings out from the ring as Nate Bristow wacks Elon Elysian on the back with a chair he got from ringside. Elon tries to crawl to ropes, but Bristow gives him another shot to the back with the chair. Bristow gives him another shot, then another. He raises the chair to deliver a fifth strike, but he’s forcefully tackled to the ground by Emery Elysian!

Geoff Penzer: The cavalry has arrived! Emery and Effie Elysian have seen enough and have come to the aid of their brother!

The crowd cheers as Emery mounts Bristow and begins raining down elbow shots. Barnes moves to pull Emery off of his partner, but Effie whacks him on the back of the head with the chair! The crowd cheers as Bristow drops to one knee. Effie moves in front of him, the chair raised for another shot. Bristow holds his hands up and begs her for mercy. The crowd chants for her to do it, and Bristow tells her not to listen to those idiots. She lowers the chair which causes Bristow to lower his hands. He lets out a sigh of relief before Effie delivers shot to the top of the cranium with the chair! The crowd goes nuts as Bristow drops to the canvas.

Geoff Penzer: What a deafening shot to the head by Effie!

Effie drops the chair to check on Elon. Meanwhile, Emery and Tully Barnes are jockeying for position on the ground near the ropes. Neither man seems be able to get an edge before they both tumble out of the ring. Barnes gets to his feet first and delivers a nasty right hand to Emery drawing boos from the crowd. He delivers another right hand before following that up with a vicious short-arm lariat that sends Emery back first to the ground. Barnes picks Emery up and brings him over by the barricade. He goes for a belly-to-back suplex to the barricade, but Emery blocks it. He tries again, but it’s blocked. Emery delivers three back elbows to Barnes to get loose. Emery goes for an elbow strike, but Barnes ducks and counters with a belly-to-back suplex onto the barricade!

Geoff Penzer: My God! Emery is now a member of the audience thanks to that suplex by Barnes!

The crowd boos as Barnes taunts Emery. In the ring, Effie runs the ropes. When Barnes turns around Effie launches herself between the ropes to deliver a suicide dive to Tully Barnes sending them both crashing into the barricade!

Geoff Penzer: Effie just threw all caution to the wind with that suicide dive! She’s had enough of the abuse to her and her family and she’s taken things in her own hands!

The crowd cheers Effie while back in the ring, Elon and Nate are stirring. Both men use the ropes to get to their feet. The chair that has caused all of the damage is just a few feet away from both men. Elon and Nate look from the chair to one another and back before running at each other instead.

Geoff Penzer: And here we go! Elon Elysian and Nate Bristow are trading blows in the ring!

Lefts and rights are thrown out until Nate Bristow blocks a right hand from Elon. Bristow goes for a short-arm clothesline, but Elon counters with a fireman's carry slam onto the steel chair! Bristow rolls around in pain until he’s finally rolled himself out of the ring. Elon rolls out of the ring as well. Elon looks over to his downed siblings before tracking down Nate Bristow. When he’s in range, he goes for a running knee, but Bristow counters with a stiff European uppercut to boos from the crowd. Bristow nails Elon with another European uppercut. Then a third. Bristow then brings Elon over to the steel ring steps and drives Elon face first into them with The Final Hour (Full-Nelson Facebuster)!

Geoff Penzer: Elon just tasted cold hard steel there! Nate Bristow looks like he’s got a reprieve from the madness, but what is Emery Elysian doing?

Emery Elysian has climbed on top of the barricade behind Nate Bristow. When Nate turns around, Emery nails him with a diving flying knee to cheers from the crowd! When Emery gets up, Tully Barnes rocks him with a charging clubbing blow to the back of the head. Barnes then lifts Emery up and drops him neck first onto his knee with the Cataclysm (Cross-Legged Air Raid Crash Neckbreaker)!

Geoff Penzer: My God! I think Emery Elysian may have a concussion! Both Elysian brothers have been taken out now!

A shower of boos rain down from the crowd as Barnes looks like he wants to inflict more damage, but he sees that Effie has gotten the chair from the ring as is making her way toward him. Barnes quickly gets a groggy Nate Bristow to his feet and the two men retreat. Effie waves the chair daring Bristow and Barnes to come back and fight. Bristow and Barnes stand at the top of the walkway with satisfied grins on their faces as Elon and Emery are still motionless on the ground. Pleased with the damage done, the duo make their way to the back. Effie drops the chair and exits the ring to check on her brothers.

After what feels like months of separation as a result of Izzy Anders' brutal assault, Johnny Karma and Cherry Baum are reunited once more - ironically after Cherry's surprisingly brutal assault on Izzy Anders at the most recent Vertigo taping

As Karma sits on one of the locker room benches Cherry removes a pile of folding chairs from another, which causes the majority of the pile to go crashing to the floor so when Karma looks up due to being startled by the sound he sees Cherry standing with just the one chair in her hands, and for obvious reasons he's a little perturbed...

Johnny Karma: Steady there, Miss Baum, you can't go cracking Izzy's skull on a weekly basis.

Cherry Baum: I wasn't, I mean...

Rather than try and put her response into words, Cherry gestures towards the pile of chairs that currently reside on the floor, at which point she places the solitary chair back where she picked it up and decides the best course of action would be to head back across the room and sit down next to Karma, since this side of the locker room is intent on making her look like some slasher film villain

Cherry Baum: It did feel good, though.

Rather than argue the point Karma lets it slide

Johnny Karma: I doubt Izzy would agree with you on that one, but then again she'd probably say that payback is actually a very nice person and one of her best friends just because that's the most needlessly contrary response she can give.

With a roll of the eyes, Karma continues

Johnny Karma: Of course this probably means the Dear Leader's minions are on the warpath since they'd like to make up their failure to protect her by going out and doing something stupid, which normally wouldn't be an issue since they know that if they lay a hand on me Izzy loses the title - but that doesn't cover the match I have with Yun Goeun tonight, and there's no doubt she'll be looking to not only redeem herself in the crossed and slightly glassy eyes of Izzy Anders, but there's no doubt she's been told to soften me up ahead of our match.

Cherry Baum: So what's the plan if she does?

Taking a moment to consider both the question and how he'll answer it, Karma goes over his strategy in his head before saying...

Johnny Karma: Make sure she doesn't have the chance.

Cherry gives Karma a quizzical look, almost as if she can't believe his strategy is something that basic

Cherry Baum: Are you sure that's all you're planning? Haven't you got a backup plan in case she finds a way?

Johnny Karma: I know it sounds simple, but when you boil it down that's all I need to do: make sure she doesn't get the chance. If she wants to try kicking my head off, either I make sure I get out of Dodge or I worked over her leg so she can't get enough behind it as she can't stand on one leg. If she wants to try and stretch me out, either I make sure I'm close enough to the ropes or I know how to get out of the hold quickly. If she wants to back over me with a truck, make sure she doesn't have her keys.

Karma then thinks that maybe the last comment was not the best choice of words, all things considered

Johnny Karma: If I go on attack, then she has to go on defense and when she's on defense, any plans she had to put the hurt on me become secondary because now she has to try and keep up with me. That's the way things should be, how they need to be: one-on-one, nobody interfering, and so much of the alta kaka I've had to put up with rendered impossible. The fact I had to go so far as to have that in writing says far too much about what I'm having to deal with, but if I have to drag an actual match out of somebody who thinks a mugging is the way to go then I am dragging them along the canvas for as long as it takes until that's what happens.

The hint of a rueful smile breaks out across the corner of Karma's mouth

Johnny Karma: And after I've done that, all I have to look forward to is stepping into a steel cage with somebody who has made it their life's work to make me miserable just so I can challenge for the title once more. And when I phrase it like that...

Karma can't help but laugh, mainly because the other option is crying...

Johnny Karma: ...who needs to make things even more complicated than they already are?

Chandler Scott vs. Stunray

The signature guitar riff of “Psycho” by Muse blasts into the excited air and a chorus of boos emanates from the sold out arena. The drums start pounding away and Stunray strides out onto the stage with his arms outstretched into the air. The camera zooms up to him as he stops dead center on the FGA stage. He moves his outstretched hands inward multiple times as if he’s asking for more negativity. He puts his arms down and begins to walk down the ramp towards the squared circle. He ignores the outstretched hands of adults and children alike as he focuses on the ring.

Melanie Sierra: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Rochester, New York! Weighing in at 235 pounds… STUUUUNRAAAAAY!!!

He reaches it, climbs the stairs and walks along the ring apron. He lifts his arms again as he reaches the center of the apron and looks upwards towards the lights to the tune of an unimpressed crowd. He slowly drops his arms before climbing between the second and third ropes, into the ring.

Geoff Penzer: The deep personal issues between Daniel Widdel and Stunray took yet another interesting turn when Delta Madison appeared earlier in the ring tonight and said that she’s going to choose a side between her brother-in-law and her former beau at Trouble in Paradise. But that was before the heated argument turned into a brawl where Delta could accidentally punched by Daniel Widdel. We all know how strongly Stunray feels about both Delta and Widdel. But he’s got to focus here tonight as he’s about to face Chandler Scott!

The lights dim as the sound of a guitar plays throughout the arena. Red lasers soon begin to shoot out from the stage. Once their attention has been captured, the crowd turns to the entryway to prepare for the man that's about to walk out. At the 25 second mark, “Animal Ghosts” bursts through the speakers. Chandler Scott pushes through the curtain to a loud ovation from the crowd.

Melanie Sierra: And his opponent, from Westwood, Massachusetts! Weighing in at 226 pounds! He is the “DNA of FGA”, CHANDLERRRRR SCOOOOTTTT!!!

Chandler makes his way down to the ring with a smirk on his face. After slapping hands with one or two lucky fans, he leaps onto the apron and enters through the ropes. Chandler times his ascension onto the middle ropes with the beginning of the chorus. The crowd sings along with the chorus while puts his hand above his eyes to scan the crowd. He smirks as he slowly slaps his chest three times before pointing to a lucky fan in the crowd. When the chorus ends, Chandler hops off the middle ropes, turns and lands on his feet. He begins slipping off his jumpsuit and tosses it to the outside as he waits the opening bell.

Geoff Penzer: Last week on Vertigo, Chandler Scott, Noelle Smith and the Elysian Empire were on their way to winning that eight man tag against Heroes Never Die when Noelle was dragged to the outside. After the Elysian Empire took off after Bristow and Barnes, Heroes Never Die attacked Noelle until Scott made the save. He was able to fight off Yun Goeun and Heather Lasiewicz and was seconds away from giving Izzy Anders the Burning Hammer when he was kicked right between the legs by Savannah Taylor. Things between Scott and Lasiewicz have gotten heated with all the games Lasiewicz has been playing. But the time for games will be over at Trouble in Paradise when Scott and Lasiewicz go one on one for the first time ever.

The bell sounds as Scott and Stunray start things off with a lock up. After jockeying for position, Stunray moves Scott across the ring and into the corner. While Stunray has Scott pressed up against the turnbuckles, the ref heads over and gives them until the count of five to break it up.

Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR…

Both men appear to make a clean break. Stunray then throws a right hook at Scott’s head. But Scott ducks and is able to make his way out of the corner and towards the center of the ring.

Geoff Penzer: Scott was close to getting rocked by that right hand from Stunray...

After Stunray makes his way out of the corner, he and Scott circle the ring. They then size each other up before heading into the corner and locking up. After jockeying for position, Stunray places Scott in a side headlock. Scott groans as Stunray wrenches the headlock. The ref heads over and asks him if he wants to give up. Scott refuses before shoving Stunray off into the ropes. When Stunray returns, he runs Scott over with a shoulder block. The boos continue as he drops down and makes the cover.

Stunray picks up Scott and places him in another side headlock. Scott goes to shove Stunray off. But Stunray keeps the hold locked on tight. So Scott gives him a couple of shots to the ribs before trying to shove him off. This time, Stunray drops down to a knee while keeping the hold applied. The ref checks in with Scott and asks him if he wants to give up. He refuses. After battling back to his feet, Scott grabs Stunray and goes for a belly to back suplex. But Stunray is able to roll over his shoulder, land on his feet and reapply the side headlock. Before Stunray can get it cinched in tight, Scott shoves him off into the ropes. When Stunray returns, Scott drops down to the canvas. So Stunray hops over him and runs into the ropes. When Stunray comes back, Scott leaps to his feet and leapfrogs over him. Stunray continues to run into the ropes. When he comes back, Scott knocks him down with a running European Uppercut. He then scurries over and makes the cover.

As Scott stands up, Stunray turns and runs back into the ropes. When he returns, he sees Scott run past him. So Stunray slams on the brakes. When he turns around, the crowd cheers when he gets knocked down with a springboard European Uppercut.

Geoff Penzer: Scott can nail you from pretty much anywhere with those European Uppercuts! He makes the cover...

Scott picks up Stunray and sets up for a snap suplex, but Stunray blocks it. So Scott tightens his grip and goes for another snap suplex. Again, it gets blocked. Stunray then quickly reverses into a small package.

After both men scramble to get back to a vertical base, Stunray doubles him over with a boot to the midsection. He then takes Scott, runs and tosses him through the ropes. As Scott pulls himself up on the apron, Stunray runs into the corner and connects with a springboard rebound dropkick, knocking Scott off the apron and to the floor. The crowd boos while Stunray begins to taunt them. On the outside, Scott starts to pick himself up. So Stunray turns and runs into the ropes. When Stunray comes back, he knocks Scott down with a baseball slide.

Stunray picks up Scott and slams him face-first onto the apron before shoving him back inside. Stunray then slides back in, drags Scott away from the ropes and makes the cover.

Stunray picks up Scott, moves him into the corner and slams him face-first onto the top turnbuckle. After delivering a series of elbow smashes to the back, Stunray backs up towards the center of the ring before running back over towards the corner and connects with a Stunray Splash (Stinger Splash) to the back. He then pulls Scott away from the corner, scoops him up from the side and hits a backbreaker. He makes the cover.

As Stunray picks up Scott, Scott begins to nail him with punches to the midsection. He then takes Stunray and goes for an irish whip. But Stunray reverses, sending Scott into the ropes. When Scott returns, Stunray lifts him up, throws him down with a spinebuster and then turns him over into a Boston Crab. The crowd boos as Scott can be seen grimacing from the pain.

Geoff Penzer: Stunray’s got Scott locked in the center of the ring in a Boston Crab!

The ref gets down and asks Scott if he wants to give up. But Scott refuses. So Stunray pulls back even more on the hold.

Geoff Penzer: You can see the pain written on Scott’s face! He’s really feeling it now! Will he tap out right here tonight to Stunray!?

Stunray can be heard yelling at Scott to give up. But Scott doesn’t give into Stunray’s demands. The ref gets down and asks Scott if he wants to give up. Again, he refuses. The boos begins to turn to cheers when Scott starts to drag himself towards the ropes. Stunray can be seen shaking his head in disbelief as Scott continues to scratch and claw his way to the side of the ring. He then reaches out… and grabs the bottom rope. The crowd cheers when Scott makes it to the ropes. But the cheers quickly turn back to boos when Stunray refuses to release the hold. So the ref gives him until the count of five or else he’ll be disqualified.

Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR…

Stunray lets go. He then picks up Scott and lifts him up for a vertical suplex. But Scott is able to slip down from behind. He then spins Stunray over towards him, delivers a kick to the midsection, lifts him up and brings him down with a Shotgun Stunner! Scott then sits up Stunray before heading into the ropes. When Scott returns, the crowd cheers when he flattens Stunray with a sliding forearm smash. He makes the cover.

Geoff Penzer: Stunray got caught with that forearm flush across the jaw! But it only gets two!

Scott picks up Stunray and whips him into the ropes. When Stunray returns, Scott sets up for a back body drop. So Stunray stops, places Scott in a front facelock with one arm, hooks Scott’s leg with the other and delivers the Moss Covered Three Handled Family Gredunza.

He then turns over, pulls Stunray back to his feet, quickly backs up towards the corner and hits a snap suplex into the turnbuckles. After holding his lower back, Scott picks up Stunray, brings him from out of the corner, flips him into the air and delivers the CRS-Two (End of Heartache). Stunray howls in pain after bouncing off of Scott’s knees. As Stunray begins to slowly pick himself back up, Scott runs over and brings him down with a Sling Blade. He then picks Stunray back up, delivers an irish whip, follows him across the ring and nearly takes his head off with a running European Uppercut. Scott then grabs Stunray and delivers an irish whip into the opposite corner before running across the ring and connecting with a flying corner elbow smash. The cheers continue as Scott sits Stunray on the top turnbuckle, turns away from him, places him in a three quarter facelock, takes a few steps from out of the corner and drops him with the Mass Spike. Scott then brings Stunray over towards the center of the ring, hooks the arm, lifts him up and plants him with the DNA Driver (Bloody Sunday) to an explosion of cheers from the crowd. He turns over to make the cover.

Melanie Sierra: The following contest is a Quarterfinal Round match in the Dynamic Duos Tag Team Tournament!

The arena lights slowly dim as the doom-laden synths of “Another Chance” blast out across the arena, and as they dim blue lights fill the entranceway, growing in brightness as the music gets more intense, and as the main hook grows the pairing of Mark Bisley emerge at the top of the ramp, Bisley with an arm raised as he surveys all before him while Majima wears a stony expression.

Melanie Sierra: Introducing first, at a combined weight of four hundred and forty-three pounds, Mark Bisley and Shintaro Shajima… SMAAAART STYLE!

As they walk down the ramp, Bisley stops and holds his arms apart and tilts his head back to tell the entire arena he is here, while Majima stands directly behind him with his arms held aloft as he looks directly towards the ring, with the pair almost resembling the Vitruvian Man as they do this.

Geoff Penzer: People have been anxious to see Majima here on the main roster for some time and so far he hasn’t disappointed. Tonight he looks to advance in Dynamic Duos and make his way to Patriot Games alongside Mark Bisley. But they have a hell of a team to go through to achieve that.

Making their way to ringside, Bisley lifts himself onto the apron and adopts a kneeling position, pointing to the side of his head a couple of times, while Majima stands beside him and removes his sunglasses, looking out into the crowd. A moment later, Majima steps into the ring while Bisley rolls under the ropes before getting back to a knee in the ring, running his hand on the canvas to say “this is my ring” while Majima stands behind him rubbing the back of each hand in his palms.

Melanie Sierra: And their opponents…

The opening lyrics to “You Want A Battle? (Here’s A War) by Bullet For My Valentine begins to echo throughout the arena as FGA rise to their feet and sing along. The lights dim and smoke begins to overtake the entranceway. Chris Madison and Mark Storm emerge and stand shoulder to shoulder as they look out into the live audience. Mark Storm closes his eyes and hold his arms outward as Chris Madison bounces from side to side on the balls of his feet. Madison clenches his fists, raises them up to his head and pounds both sides of his jaw before letting out a roar.

Melanie Sierra:  Fighting at a combined weight of four hundred and twenty five pounds, the team of Mark Storm and Chris Madison, INVICTUS FIGHT CLUB!!!

Madison and Storm make their way down to the ring and Madison immediately marches up the steel steps and climbs through the ropes. He hops up onto the middle rope and looks out towards the crowd, raising both arms above his head as Mark Storm stops on the steps facing the audience and lets out a triumphant roar, with the audience roaring back to him. Storm joins his partner in the ring and the duo turn their attention to the task at hand, immediately putting their game faces on, looking ready to scrap!

Geoff Penzer: And these teams wasted no time getting ready with Madison and Majima starting things off!

The bell sounds with Chris Madison starting in the ring against Shintaro Majima. Madison and Majima both pace, circling the center of the ring for a moment before sharply locking up. Madison seems to win the test of strength, forcing Majima to a knee but Shintaro hooks Madison’s leg and rises up, forcing him overhead with a Leg Capture Suplex! Madison scrambles up to his feet but as he turns around, he stops himself before running straight into a roundhouse kick from Majima. He captures the leg and drops down to the canvas with Majima to apply the heel hook!

Geoff Penzer: Close call there for Madison this early! In the opening moments, you could see that Smart Style scouted their opposition before making their way out here but we can clearly say the same for Invictus Fight Club! Majima is in trouble! Imagine if he taps in the first minute!

The audience roars as Majima tries to crawl toward the ropes! Chants of ”TAP!” echo throughout the Royal Farms Arena, but within moments, Majima grips the bottom rope with both hands. He begins to kick at Madison violently as Chris releases-- prompting Madison to leap on top of Majima again, beginning to lay into him with hard elbow strikes! The referee loudly shouts a warning at Madison, counting toward a disqualification.

Ref: HEY! ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR!

Madison rises up and Majima pulls himself out to the apron. Madison shoots the ropes on the far side of the ring and rebounds-- right into an STO from Majima who scrambles into the ring! Madison is folded up from the shot, rolling all the way over onto his stomach!

Geoff Penzer: Uragaeshi!

Madison begins to push himself to his feet as Majima shoots the ropes again. A stiff forearm smash sends Madison head-over-heels. Majima pivots and shoots the ropes again, but Madison captures him and nails a Spinebuster on the rebound! He staggers to his feet and immediately slaps the outstretched hand of Mark Storm!

Geoff Penzer: And here comes Your Hero and Mine, the other half of Invictus Fight Club and… what’s going on here?

Storm steps over the ropes and stands on the bottom turnbuckle. Madison rushes his own partner and hits a Monkey Flip that launches Storm high overhead-- allowing him to flip and hit a Headscissors Takedown to the rising Shintaro Majima! Majima hits the canvas hard and Storm slides into a cover, hooking the far leg!

Majima gets the shoulder up and Storm picks him up in a front facelock! Bisley paces on the apron  with a relatively calm look as Storm drives a knee into Majima’s ribcage and nails a Snap Suplex! He floats over into the cover, hooking both legs!

Majima throws his shoulder off the mat and sets upright, but Storm takes Majima into a waistlock from behind and forces him up to his feet! He nails a German Suplex to a pop from the crowd! Clutching his hands, Storm rolls through for a second one, but Majima wildly tries to fight out of it with elbows to the side of the head and face!

Geoff Penzer: No wasted motion by Mark Storm! He’s looking for that second German!

Majima rocks Storm with a third elbow shot… but Storm repositions Shintaro, going for a Back Suplex! Majima rolls through and lands on his feet behind Storm, hitting a Release Tiger Suplex! Storm’s head hits the bottom turnbuckle and he slumps against it in a daze while Baltimore erupts!

Geoff Penzer: Shintaro Majima with the Tora O Rirīsu! A sickening one that might’ve knocked Storm out cold!

Majima pulls himself to his feet and points both fingers at Storm. He backs up, close to IFC’s corner, shooting a cautious look over his shoulder at Madison-- before sprinting forward at Storm for a knee strike! Majima connects and sends a shot echoing throughout the arena! Storm goes limp and Bisley applauds loudly while Shintaro yanks Storm out of the corner and hooks the far leg, grapevining the near one for the cover!

Geoff Penzer: Noshinto by Majima but it wasn’t enough! You can see in the corner of your screen, Chris Madison was thinking about rushing in there but his partner was able to kick out himself. Storm looks dazed though and he’s definitely on the wrong side of the street. Now the tag to Mark Bisley.

Boos resonate through the venue as Majima makes the tag to Mark Bisley. Instead of immediately stepping out of the ring, Shintaro Majima hoists Mark Storm up in a deadlift and bridges into a German Suplex while Bisley steps into the ring and rushes forward for a Baseball Slide to Storm’s head! Storm flops to the mat and Bisley immediately hooks both legs while Shintaro slides out to the apron.

Chris Madison drops to a knee, sighing in relief on the apron as Mark Storm kicks out again. Storm sits up and reaches out for Madison but he’s yards away! Bisley hits crossface forearms to the head of Storm before locking in a side headlock, using it to bring Storm to his feet. Bisley grabs a handful of Storm’s hair and rushes him into the top turnbuckle in his own corner where Shintaro places his foot! Storm staggers back in pain from the added impact and Shintaro tags himself in! Storm turns around into a Double Snap Suplex! Bisley smirks and rolls out to the apron, extending his hand and allowing Majima to tag out once more-- only for Bisley to nail a Slingshot Knee Drop to Storm’s back!

Geoff Penzer: Incredible teamwork by Smart Style here, completely isolating and overwhelming Mark Storm! Interestingly though, Mark Bisley isn’t going for the cover, but he’s keeping an eye on Chris Madison as he gets ready, presumably, to inflict more punishment.

Bisley locks eyes with Madison as he pulls Storm up by the hair, ignoring scolding from the referee. Bisley locks Storm’s arms and hits the Double Underhook Suplex-- before looking to secure the Front Guillotine Choke, but Storm uses the momentum to his advantage and forces himself to his feet, picking Bisley up wit him and nailing a Northern Lights Suplex! He bridges for the cover!

Storm falls to the mat, taking deep breaths as Bisley rolls away.

Geoff Penzer: Amazing, effective counter into the Northern Lights there by Mark Storm but he couldn’t sustain the bridge for the cover after the abuse! That knee to the back from Bisley looks like it did some damage. Storm needs to worry now about making the tag.

The audience rallies behind Invictus Fight Club with a clap. Storm rolls onto his stomach and begins crawling for his corner, making longer strides as the audience grows louder!

Geoff Penzer: Baltimore is firmly behind Invictus Fight Club, but look at Mark Bisley!

Bisley grabs the ankle of Storm before rolling over the entirety of his back up to his head. Bisley applies the cravat but before he can capitalize, Storm rises to his feet yet again, hoisting Bisley up for a Suplex-- and transitioning into a Neckbreaker into the canvas! The audience roars and Storm pops up, slapping the outstretched hand of Chris Madison!

Geoff Penzer: Tag made!

Madison ascends to the top rope upon the tag, narrowing his eyes at the writhing Mark Bisley.

Geoff Penzer: We don’t see this from Madison right out of the gates very often but--!

Madison leaps from the top rope and nails a double foot stomp to the heart of Mark Bisley! Bisley cries out in agony and Madison drops down, hooking the far leg for the pin!

...and Mark Bisley rolls Madison up from behind, grabbing a handful of tights unbeknownst to the referee!

Geoff Penzer: Schoolboy! The ref doesn’t see the trunks!

Geoff Penzer: What a save by Mark Storm! Out of nowhere!

Mark Storm groans at his own landing, rolling back out to the apron. Madison and Bisley both reach their feet simultaneously-- and Madison grabs Bisley, pulling him forward into the Muay Thai Clinch! Bisley fights wildly but Madison drives repeated knees into his body! Bisley’s flailing stops and he sinks to a knee. Madison cries out and shoots the ropes, rebounding for a Bicycle Knee Strike that sends Bisley to the mat! The audience roars at the impact and Bisley shakily begins to pull himself up. Madison grabs Bisley in a front facelock and applies the Front Guillotine Choke, but begins to throw the slightly smaller competitor around violently!

Geoff Penzer: Good lord! The Helicopter Guillotine by Chris Madison! He said at this morning’s press conferences that he was looking at Smart Style like they were the favorites, and he’s certainly living up to that!

Madison turns toward Bisley’s corner to keep an eye on Majima…

Geoff Penzer: Enzuigiri!

Majima uses his own trapped partner to nail a vicious, punt-like Step-Up Enzuigiri to Madison who immediately crumbles to the mat! Bisley lands on top of Madison by chance and the referee immediately counts!

Bisley coughs, gasping for air as he crawls to his corner. Shintaro gets in position and grabs the tag rope, wide eyes focused on his partner.

Shintaro enters the ring and races to the far side while the groggy Bisley turns to face the now-seated Madison. Bisley rushes forward and hits a Soccer Kick to the chest while Shintaro nails a harder, faster soccer kick to the spine simultaneously! Madison cries out in pain! Bisley falls to his knees and exits the ring after a warning from the referee but Shintaro pulls Madison back into a modified Crucifix Pin!

Geoff Penzer: East Meets West and another cover!

Madison throws the shoulder off the mat once more! The audience roars and an ”I-F-C!” chant begins to surface! Shintaro audibly groans and looks toward Bisley, who simply taps a finger against his temple and mutters something to Majima that the cameras don’t pick up. Majima rises to his feet and slowly backs away from Madison… before turning and going to throw a bunch at Mark Storm! Storm ducks under the fist, just barely, to a whisper from the crowd! Bisley smirks at Storm from the other side of the ring and Majima glares at him, backing away. He turns toward Madison who slowly begins to push himself up. Shintaro extends an arm, slowly beginning to curl his fingers into a fist as the audience grows loud.

Geoff Penzer: Shintaro Majima’s setting up…!

Madison stands upright and Shintaro swings for the Lariat-- but Madison ducks underneath and shoots the ropes, allowing Storm to tag himself in!

Geoff Penzer: Tag! Mark Bisley’s trying to warn Shintaro Majima, who might not have seen it!

Madison rebounds toward Shintaro, who goes for the Lariat again!

Geoff Penzer: And again, Shintaro misses with the Kurimuzon Kasai!

Shintaro’s eyes widen as Mark Storm blasts him with a high knee strike! Storm bounces back into the ropes and rushes forward, hitting a Bicycle Knee Strike to the face as Madison nails one to the back of Majima’s head! Mark Bisley’s eyes grow wide as his partner collapses!

Geoff Penzer: INVICTUS FIGHT CLUB! An East Meets West of their own! This has to be it! Madison and Storm advance in Dynamic Duos Three!

Storm makes the cover as Madison exits the ring! The audience counts along with the referee!

Shintaro Majima weakly gets a shoulder off of the mat to a deafening mixed reaction from the crowd! Mark Storm buries his face in a hand for a moment before shaking off the emotion and pulling himself up to his feet with Majima-- but Majima shoves him away and nails a Lariat! The shot sends Storm corkscrewing through the air and to the canvas!

Geoff Penzer: KURIMUZON KASAI!

Bisley grins, kneeling on the apron, chin on the middle rope as he watches. We pan out to show both Storm and Majima, however, completely out!

Geoff Penzer: Shintaro Majima has no idea where he is. Storm is down for the count but Majima doesn’t know that. Bisley looks calm but Majima is all the way on the other side of the ring.

The audience begins to stomp and clap for Invictus Fight Club again as Shintaro begins to stir. Madison yells for Storm to “crawl!” but it’s to no avail. Majima pushes himself up onto an elbow and realizes his situation. He pushes Storm over onto his back and hooks the near leg!

Geoff Penzer: And it wasn’t enough! Bisley finally looks a little frustrated here, calling for the tag. Those knees have completely rocked Shintaro Majima and his partner knows it.

Madison stomps his foot on the apron, yelling for Storm to make the tag, but Shintaro rolls toward his corner, reaching up to tag in Bisley! Bisley enters the ring and races, sliding on his knees between Storm and Madison as Mark Storm begins to crawl! Bisley forces Storm up to his knees-- but Storm delivers a simple, stiff right handed slap to the jaw to a roar from the crowd!

Geoff Penzer: ...always works!

Bisley fires back with a knee to the jaw of the kneeling Storm, but Mark Storm yells out and rises to his knees, redfaced. He smashes Bisley across the jaw with a forearm, then an elbow, then a forearm, then an elbow! Bisley is knocked into the ropes and Storm performs an Irish Whip, sending him across the ring! Storm goes for the Belly-to-Back Suplex on the rebound but Bisley reverses and twists, nailing an Overhead Belly-to-Belly Suplex! The audience roars at the athleticism as Storm rolls through! Bisley rushes at him to follow up-- and Storm nails a Slingblade!

Geoff Penzer: Back and forth! And now the tag!

Storm dives into the corner and slaps the outstretched hand of Chris Madison to a massive roar from the audience! Shintaro Majima rushes in to cut him off but Chris Madison takes him down with a Lou Thesz Press and a barrage of elbows to the head and neck! The audience counts along, all the way to ten as Madison lays into Majima! Nose busted open, Majima rolls away as the wide-eyed Madison rises to his feet. Seconds pass and Bisley stumbles to his feet as well to a grin from Madison! The former Pride Champion signals for the end!

Geoff Penzer: Chris Madison is ALL fired up! The ref is checking on the bloodied Shintaro Majima, but this one may be in the bag! Madison’s signaling to Mark Storm!

Storm positions himself on the apron, grabbing the top rope as Madison hoists the groggy Bisley up onto his shoulders in the Electric Chair position!

Geoff Penzer: Mark Bisley’s set up-- WHAT THE HELL?!

Leaping the barricade behind Mark Storm is the Pride Champion Savannah Taylor! One hand clutching the title belt, she yanks the unaware Storm’s ankle, tugging him from the apron! Storm’s jaw smashes against the apron and he hits the mat!

”BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”

Geoff Penzer: The FGA Pride Champion, Savannah Taylor from Heroes Never Die! What is she thinking?!

A camera briefly focuses on the referee, now wearing plastic gloves as he continues to check on Shintaro Majima-- who now looks to be intentionally distracting the referee! Madison hits the Electric Chair Drop on Mark Bisley anyway, but rises to his feet and rushes the ropes toward the grinning Savannah Taylor…

..and she swings for the fences, smashing the Pride Championship into his skull, sending a clear THUD! throughout the Royal Farms Arena. Baltimore boos loudly and Madison goes limp in the ropes. Savannah Taylor calmly walks away from the ring, back the way she came, climbing over the barricade.

Geoff Penzer: You’ve gotta be…

The ref finally turns once Majima informs him that he’s “okay.” Bisley groggily pulls the limp Chris Madison out of the ropes and hooks the near leg! Boos continue to rain down as the referee drops down to make the count!

A roar surges throughout Baltimore as Chris Madison’s shoulder rises off the canvas! Bisley’s eyes widen, but Shintaro screams for the tag! Without hesitation, Bisley scrambles for his corner! The bloodied Majima enters the ring and forces Madison upright, holding him upside-down for a Vertical Suplex! With one last gasp, Bisley hits a roundhouse to the heart of Madison, causing Madison to contort as Majima drives him down with the Sheer Drop Brainbuster!

Geoff Penzer: The Essence of Smart Style!

Majima hooks both legs for the cover! Storm slides into the ring beneath the bottom rope but Bisley throws himself against him, using his body to block him!

Geoff Penzer: Storm!

The bell sounds and the crowd boos loudly! Bisley and Majima immediately roll from the ring as Storm reaches his feet, eyes wide with rage and realization.

Melanie Sierra: Here are your winners… Mark Bisley and Shintaro Majima… SMART STYYYYLE!

The ref raises his fist, pointing at the quickly departing team to signify victory. Bisley grins, falling to a seated position at the top of the ramp as Majima kneels behind him.

Geoff Penzer: Savannah Taylor has just screwed Chris Madison again! This is the second time now that she’s robbed him! Smart Style fought for this victory but they owe an assist to the Pride Champion! Smart Style have advanced to the semifinals in Dynamic Duos! You have to feel for Madison and Storm! You could hear it in their voices how much they wanted this! If they lost to a better team, then so be it. But not like this! Not like this! I don’t think the Las Vegas Siren has any idea of the hell that’s coming her way. But she’s going to find out the hard way on September 9, I can guarantee you that!

We see Savannah Taylor standing near an exit, smirking toward the ring as Chris Madison rises to his knees, shaking with rage, immediately aware of what’s happened. Storm leans against the ropes, sighing heavily. Taylor raises the title in the air, turning her back as she departs. We fade away on the glare of Chris Madison.

"FxxK Wit Us" by Lee Hi plays over the PA system as Yun Goeun comes out from the back to a chorus of boos. Yun smirks and ignores the boos as she walks down to the ring. As she hits the ramp and continues to make her way to the ring, not once even so much as looking to the fans.

Melanie Sierra: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is your main event of the evening! Introducing first, from Seoul, South Korea… YUUUUUN GOOOOEEEUUEUN!!!

As Yun reaches the ring she slides in and quickly walks to her corner and sits down, crossing her legs as she does, leaning back against the lower turnbuckle.

Geoff Penzer: Yun Goeun has a date with Noelle Smith at Trouble in Paradise in three weeks. But before she gets to that match, she had to get through Johnny Karma here tonight. If anyone interferences at Trouble in Paradise, then Izzy Anders automatically loses the championship. With that being said, what does Yun have up her sleeve her tonight? We know that she would do anything to make sure Izzy Anders stays champion. The current #1 contender heads into tonight’s main event against an opponent with nothing to lose. If you ask me, that’s the most dangerous kind of opponent you can go up against!

The arena lights flash in a myriad of different colours in time with John Bonham's quite remarkably epic drum intro that is filling the arena, and just as it reaches a crescendo Johnny Karma walks out at the top of the ramp, and as he walks out he pauses, his eyes are fixed on the ring, but he doesn't play to the crowd as he usually does

Melanie Sierra: And her opponent, from Queens, New York! Weighing in at 233 pounds… JOHNNYYYYYYY KAAAAAARRRRRRRRRMAAAAA!!!

As he begins to walk down the ramp, Karma unfastens the cuffs of his ring jacket, still focusing on the ring.

Geoff Penzer: Johnny Karma is three weeks away from finally getting his rematch! He was screwed out of the FGA Undisputed Championship this past June by Heather Lasiewicz and the woman standing in the ring right now. At Trouble in Paradise, Heroes Never Die, and anyone else, will be a non-factor thansk to the Steel cage and the stipulation he slipped into the contract. But what about tonight? He knows that he’s got huge targets on his back. Johnny Karma was one step ahead of Izzy Anders last week. But can he make it out of the arena in one piece here tonight?

Karma tries to get into the ring, but Yun swings the chair at the ropes. So Karma goes to another side of the ring and tries to slide in. But again, he’s cut off as Yun swing the chair down at the canvas. So Karma slips back to the outside. Karma circles the ring as he tries to find his opening. But Yun follows him every step of the way with a steel chair in hand.

Geoff Penzer: Yun won’t even let Karma get inside to fight!

The ref tries to get Yun to move back and allow Karma inside the ring. But Yun quickly shoves him out of the way.

Geoff Penzer: Yun should have been disqualified for putting her hands on the referee! But the match hasn’t even started yet. When Yun turns back to Karma. The 2017 Gold Rush Rumble winner slides halfway into the ring. Yun quickly grips the chair and swings down, causing Karma to slip back to the outside. As soon as Yun raises the chair back up, Karma reaches back in, grabs her by the ankles and yanks her down to the canvas. The crowd cheers as Karma drags Yun to the outside and slams her face-first onto the apron. He then takes Yun and whisp her hard into the ring steps. The crowd cheers as the sound of Yun crashing into the steps can be heard throughout the arena.

Geoff Penzer: Karma’s had enough of Yun’s crap and now he’s about to unleash all of his aggression on her!

Karma picks Yun back up and slams her face-first into the steps steps before rolling her back inside. Once Karma rolls back in, the bell rings to officially start the match. Karma picks up Yun and whips her into the ropes. When Yun returns, the crowd cheers as Karma throws her down with a back body drop. Yun arches her back as she turns over onto her knees. As The Karmic Lion approaches, Yun pleads for a timeout. But Karma isn’t having any of it. So he picks up the pace to go over and attack. Yun then leaps to her feet and tries to sucker punch him. But Karma blocks and knocks her down with a right cross. Yun gets back to her feet, only to get knocked back down by another right cross. Once Yun gets back to her feet, Karma fires off three quick jabs before socking her with a right hook.

Geoff Penzer: Instant Karma from the #1 contender!

As a groggy Yun gets back to a vertical base, Karma takes her and whips her into the turnbuckles. He then runs across the ring and nearly takes her head off with an NYC Uppercut. Karma then takes Yun and whips her hard into the opposite corner. As Yun staggers from out of the corner, Karma runs over and knocks her down with a clothesline. Karma reaches down, picks up Yun and delivers an atomic drop. While Yun howls in pain, Karma grabs her from behind, runs across the ring, leaps over the top rope and drops her throat-first across the top rope with Macho Karma. As Yun stumbles back, Karma climbs up onto the apron, scales to the top turnbuckle and leaps off for a diving double ax handle smash. But Yun reaches over and pulls the ref in the way, causing Karma to pull back.

Geoff Penzer: Karma almost hit the referee!

After Karma lands on his feet, he moves the ref out of the way. He then gets quickly nailed by a roundhouse kick by Yun. The crowd erupts with boos while Karma is down on the canvas.

Geoff Penzer: Yun just took advantage of that opening and clocked Karma with that roundhouse kick!

While Karma tries to shake out the cobwebs, Yun circles the #1 contender before putting the boots tom him. She then pulls Karma up onto his knees and hammers away with a flurry of punches before sliding off to the side and connecting with a standing side kick.

Geoff Penzer: Yun’s got Karma down. But she hasn’t even attempted to make the cover. We all know what her intentions are, so we shouldn't be surprised. Yun essentially declared that she’s made it her life's work to make sure that Izzy Anders stays FGA Undisputed Champion. She isn’t interested in getting a victory here tonight over Karma. She’s only interested in making sure that Karma doesn't even make it to Trouble in Paradise!

Yun takes Karma, drags him over towards the side of the ring and places him throat-first across the middle ropes. After rolling to the outside, Yun grabs Karma by the back of the neck with both hands and pulls down, choking him across the rope. The crowd boos while the ref gives Yun until a count of five to break the choke.

Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR… FIV-

Yun breaks the chokes. She then hops onto the apron before running over and knocking Karma back inside the ring with a running knee lift. She then steps back inside, brings Karma back to his feet, marches into the corner and slams him face-first into the top turnbuckle. After sending Karma slumping down in the corner with a flurry of right hands, she applies a foot choke while pulling down on the top rope.

Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR…  

Yun turns and runs into the adjacent set of ropes. When she comes back, she bashes Karma with a running knee to the face. Yun runs back across the ring. When she comes back, she bashes Karma with another running knee to the face. The Heroes Never Die member runs back across the ring. When Yun comes back, she connects with another running knee to the face. The crowd boos as Yun drags Karma away from the ropes and makes the cover.

The crowd gasps, then cheers when Karma gets his shoulder up.

Geoff Penzer: Karma’s not done! He’s not out of it just yet!

Yun picks up Karma and says something to him before doubling him over with a boot to the midsection and following up with a single knee facebreaker. While Karma is dazed, Yun turns and runs back into the ropes. When Yun returns, Karma lifts her up, turns and throws her down with a spinebuster. The crowd explodes with cheers as Karma nearly slammed Yun through the ring.

Karma picks up Yun and whips her into the ropes. When Yun returns, Karma sets up for another back body drop. This time, Yun counters with a kick to the face. She then turns and runs back into the ropes. When Yun returns, Karma connects with Check Your Chiclets (superkick). The crowd explodes with cheers as Yun nearly gets her face kicked off.

As Karma pushes the offense against Yun, she manages to take a moment to slide out of the ring to catch her breath. Karma, not waiting around though, slides out after her and quickly grabs her and whips her into the guard rail, Yun's back colliding with it in a sickening thud. Johnny rushes right back to Yun and grabs her again and with more force than the last one, whips her back into the guard rail. The crowd lets out a light groan as Yun's back impacts with the guard rail again. Karma, still not letting up grabs her again and this time turns around and whips her into the ring.

...CRACK.

Yun's back smashes right into the ring post and apron, as does her head. Yun collapses to the floor almost at once. The referee who had been pretty lenient on starting his count, now slides out of the ring just as Karma goes to grab Yun again. The referee forcefully pushes Karma away from Yun, and bends down to check on her.

As the referee checks on Yun, Johnny is hovering over her, waiting to get back to work. Again though, the referee shoves Karma away, pointing to the other side of the ringside area now. Karma, looks upset, but does not want to get DQed so he obeys.

You can see the referee shake his head as he gets up from checking on Yun, and walks over to the time keepers table, the cameras picking up the referee telling the time keeper she's not responsive, Karma uses this chance to rush back in on the attack. After everything Izzy has put him through, he was damn sure going to take this chance to take out one of her goon squad.

Johnny grabs a handful of hair and just as he does...

....THUD.

Closed fist... Yun punches Johnny Karma straight in the dingle berries.

Karma bends over in pain almost right away as Yun jumps back to her feet and grabbing Karma in a head lock jumps up onto the apron, runs along it for a second then spikes him down hard with a DDT, allowing Karmas body to flow through the DDT.

The referee who was about to end the match turns to realize Yun is up, and that Karma is down. The referee goes to check on what just happened, but Yun simply shoves him out of her way and grabs Karma, dragging him with her as she goes. Yun makes her way to the commentary table, with Karma being dragged behind her the whole time. Once she gets there, she manages to lift him up and dump him unceremoniously face down onto the announce table and slides back into the ring.

As the referee starts his count at one, Yun climbs to the top turnbuckle, and just perches there. The referee looks from Karma, then to Yun and starts telling her "No!" Yun just kicks him square in the face to a loud echoing pop to knock him away from her, and down to the mat.

Yun just waits, perched on the top turnbuckle, her eyes never leaving Johnny Karma...

The referee, able to pull himself to a sitting position, calls for the bell.

...Ding Ding Ding.

Not even this breaks Yun's focus at Johnny Karma, who now starts to stir. Trying to get himself up to all fours so he can slide off the table. But just as he starts to push himself up...

Yun Goeun: HWAITING!

Yun comes jumping off the top turnbuckle and flies through the air, dropping both of her knees onto the back of Johnny Karma's skull, executing the All-Kill to picture perfect perfection, smashing Karma face first violently into the commentator's table which shatters under the impact of Karma and Yun, driving Karma's head all the way through the table and to the ground below.

The referee almost at once calls for medical attention, as he slides out of the ring and looks in the wreckage that is the announcers desk. Johnny Karma has not moved since it happened, and close by him Yun is moving, but only grasping her knees in agony.

As medics arrive on the scene, some go to look at Karma, others go to look at Yun, who is now fighting them off of her, and crawling to the guard rail. Using the guard rail, Yun is able to pull herself back to her feet, shoving another medic off of her.

Yun Goeun: I'm fine, get the hell off me!

Yun, visibly limping, takes a few steps away from the wreckage then looks back to survey the damage she had done, then with a smile walks off, still limping, to let the medics work on Johnny Karma. The camera then switches to the scene being watched on a monitor backstage. As the camera zoom out and swivels around, we see Izzy Anders watching intently with her Undisputed Championship clutched in her arms...
