We go backstage where Neal Durden is seen sitting in front of his locker room. His head hang low, his eyes closed and his headphones on. He’s humming whatever song he might be hearing. He knows he needs to be well within his zone before his match tonight.
Through his career he has been a kamikaze like figure, putting his body on the line both for the delight of the crowd and the benefit of his team - Pendragon -. Tonight, he’s on a similar spot. He has to sacrifice himself once more if he wishes to have any semblance of an opportunity to emerge with, if anything else, a moral victory by virtue of hurting The New Murder.
It’s a tall task and he knows it. He’s in a gauntlet match against three members of the team he, alongside Lowri Moss, Jimmy Page and Sadie San Francisco, will be facing at Steel Warfare. This is kind of a death sentence and he knows it; as he continues humming.
Neal Durden: “I don't want to bother, but I know that I've found...A place I need to be…”
His humming is interrupted by the appearance of Lowri Moss behind him. She poked him in the back, prompting Neal to take off his headphones and turn around to look at her. He smiled at Lowri as she asked him.
Lowri Moss: “Are you ready?”
The question sparked a lot of doubts in Neal’s mind. He bit his bottom lip, before letting out a sigh.
Neal Durden: “Now I am…”
There was a bit of doubt in Neal’s answer, yet the fire and desire was there. All his life he has been this daredevil inside the ring, tonight he had the chance to prove himself to the world. He had failed to defeat Molly, he knew he was on a suicide mission tonight… yet, somehow, he felt he needed to work his ass off to survive the night. He knew The New Murder were salivating at the prospect of taking him out completely for Steel Warfare.
Neal stood up and walked out of the locker room with Lowri by his side. As they walked down the hallway, Jessie Pederson approached them, much as she had done earlier when the whole team was together.
Jessie Pederson: “Neal, is there anything you want to say going into your match against Fenrys, Dom Harter and Chris Bond of The New Murder tonight?”
Neal closed his eyes before a faint smile appeared on his face. His grip on Lowri’s hand tighten before he let go of it. He looked at Jessie and then to the camera.
Neal Durden: “Jessie, on paper this might look like the type of night The New Murder would love to have. They have matches all over the place, including the Main Event. Hell, they even have the opportunity to gang up on one member and take him out… that member, obviously being myself.”
Neal took a moment to look at Lowri, before turning his attention back to the camera. A renewed fire appeared in his eyes before he spoke.
Neal Durden: “Of course, the odds are completely against me. I’m coming back from an ankle injury, so the three of them know where to target if they want to take me out of Steel Warfare, don’t they? I’m seemingly the weakest link on Page’s team both physically, for what I just said… and in terms of name value. After all, Page, Sadie and Lowri have all done more in their careers than what I have done so far.
“I can see why their mouths might be watering about this opportunity. Hell, I’m not an idiot. But I’ll be damned if I didn’t stand up and fight tonight.”
Durden took a deep breath, as he turned his head down and to a side before returning his sight to the camera.
Neal Durden: “Jessie, tonight I will fight like I have never fought before in my life. This is my shot to take out the anger that has been building up since THEY took me out with an ankle injury. Results be damned tonight, Jessie… because not only will I survive to help Team Page take The New Murder out at Steel Warfare… But I’ll also make sure the whole world knows… that I mean business.”
After he said that he smiled and walked off, as Lowri walked behind him.

Static fills the screen for a moment, before some grainy footage starts playing.
Laughter can be heard, a maniacal cackle reverberating around the room as the footage ends, bringing The New Murder into focus; Dom standing in the center of the room with Molly Reid on one side, and the new FGA Mid-Atlantic Legacy Champion, Jaelynn Ramsey on the other. Fenrys stands next to Molly, while Chris Bond and The Crimson Baroness stand on the other side of Jaelynn. All dressed in their ring attire ahead of their matches later tonight, all with determined expressions on their faces except for Dom.
Dom Harter: I remember a time when people thought they break me. When they thought I was just a tool, a follower…
The word is said with derision as Harter shakes his head. His tongue runs around the inside of his cheek as he chuckles again.
Dom Harter: When people thought they could go toe-to-toe, that they could wage a war with me!
He jabs a finger at his own chest for emphasis.
Dom Harter: And you saw how that worked out! What you saw was All Star Showdown II, the night that Pat Gordon Jr. realized what a terrible mistake he had made. That through the months of me toying with him. Lulling him into that false sense of security, of having Pooler stab him in the back! After all those months of him thinking it’d be worth it in the end … if he could just bring down Dom Harter.
Another chuckle from The Tenacious Little Bastard.
Dom Harter: If he could just end Dom Harter. AND HOW DID THAT WORK OUT?! He watched his friend, Ryan Kidd, get driven face first into that canvas! He watched his friend sacrificed before his eyes! Pat Gordon Jr. was never the same after that night. The Unbreakable got broken that night! BY ME! BY DOM HARTER!
He raises his voice again, jabbing a finger at his own chest as he yells. The other members of The New Murder look towards Dom, but The Tenacious Little Bastard recomposes himself quick enough.
Dom Harter: But some people don’t learn from history. Do they Jimmy? Some people are doomed to repeat the mistakes of others … of those who came before them. Because now, after months of toying with you, of lulling you into a false sense of security, of having Bond stab you in the back … you still think you can win this. You still think it’ll be worth it in the end, if you can just bring us down.
Harter chuckles again, rubbing his knuckles along his stubbled jaw as he turns to face the camera head on. That familiar crooked grin plastered on his face as Harter speaks, pointing at the camera for emphasis.
Dom Harter: And you chose Steel Warfare to try and do it…
Harter chuckles again.
Dom Harter: And … these people thought it’d be a good idea to follow you. Three miserable excuses for human beings, all being dragged to hell. People like Lowri Moss thinking she can get revenge for Final Frontier. For what we did to her new boyfriend. What Lowri Moss doesn’t understand … is that she’s already made the worst mistake of her life. She has already pissed me off. She has already pissed us off! And let this be a lesson to you all – you need to let some things slide. Instead of escalating every little thing…
With that, Dom grabs the bleached blonde streak of hair that hangs in front of his eyes.
Dom Harter: Just think, Lowri. Just think of the pain you could’ve been saved had you let things go back then. Think of the pain you could’ve saved your beloved. Those months you lost, Neal, the time that was taken from you because your girlfriend doesn’t know when to stop. And now, Neal, and this is very important, so listen. What’s in store for you at A New Odyssey: what you’ve been through elsewhere won’t compare.
Dom shakes his head dismissively.
Dom Harter: Some nutjob with a weedwhacker, thumb tacks, tables, barbed wire. Whatever you’ve done to your body. Whatever you’ve put yourself through. Trust me when I tell you being locked in a steel cage with The New Murder will be worse than it all! Trust me when I tell you that you have well and truly f*cked up right now. And the shame of it all, is that you’re getting yourself killed over a piece of ass…
Harter shakes his head as he looks out across his fellow crows. A smirk on his face as he turns back to the camera.
Dom Harter: …and not even a good piece of ass. You couldn’t have found yourself someone worth a damn, instead of Welsh trash like Lowri Moss? Instead of the pedantic little bitch who wants to cost me entry into the World Cup? Instead of the selfish, vengeful little bitch who’s signed your death warrant! That’s who you’re willing to die for…
Dom scoffs as he shakes his head again.
Dom Harter: And Sadie … the former Mid-Atlantic Legacy champion. Those people who tell you that you’re better off now, that your career is the best it’s ever been. That breaking free from NEON was the best decision of your life? Liars. Deceivers. Run to Flashpoint, Sadie; run there and beg Evan to take you back. Beg NEON to forgive you. Tell them that you’re willing to play third wheel, and help them chase those titles they crave so much. Because that’s still a better existence than what’s in store for you after Steel Warfare! Because when we’re finished with you, when Molly, or Jae, or Bond, or Fenrys are done with you … there’s nothing Evan or anyone else can do about it.
Silence descends upon the room as The New Murder members look at each other. The determined looks that they wore at the start of the segment have all relaxed – except maybe Fenrys. But who can tell? Dom and Molly share a look, both smirking before Dom looks back at the camera.
Dom Harter: And last, but by no means least, is you, Jimmy Page…
Harter cackles again, running a hand through his hair as he speaks.
Dom Harter: Much like those who came before you, A New Odyssey will be your undoing. It’ll be the night you watch your world crash down around you. The night you watch those who came to your aid, watch them fall at our feet. Your friends, Jimmy. Watch as each and every one of them break before your very eyes. And now this, Jimmy, listen very carefully. We’re saving you for last…
Harter points at the camera. The members of The New Murder behind him all nod in agreement.
Dom Harter: …and we’re going to take it slow. Draw it out. We’re going to make you suffer, Jimmy. And every minute, every second, every moment of it … we’re going to enjoy it all. Every scream, every cry, every time you wince in pain. And it will be painful, Jimmy. Like it was for those who came before you. For those who thought putting me in a steel cage would be a good idea. For those who dare to cross The New Murder! And when – WHEN – we are rid of you, Jimmy Page. You and your motley crew, and whoever is dumb enough to take that fifth spot. When we are rid of you, and we’ve wiped you, and Pendragon, and Sadie, and whoever else off the face of this Earth. When we’ve run you out of FGA … there will be NO ONE on Vertigo. No one on Flashpoint. No one to stop us…
With that, Dom throws his arms out to the side, as do the rest of The New Murder as the scenes fades out.

Not ones to stick around and watch the show unless they had a reason to, both Joey Perello and Ryder McKnight found themselves in the parking lot of the arena. The two Reapers in Pride members talked amongst one another and paid no mind to the camera team following them until they heard a gasp from one of the men holding the camera. Perello turned around to see what was going, but Ryder got his attention by patting him on the shoulder and pointing in the direction of the RIP bikes.
Joey Perello: Well, isn’t this a pleasant surprise...
The camera panned around to reveal both Ace Watson and Owen Gonsalves standing just ten feet away from the Reapers, both men with their hands taped and ready to fight.
Joey Perello: Doesn’t seem like this is going to be a friendly talk, does it, Ryder?
Perello dropped the bag he was carrying and began cracking each individual one of his fingers by pressing down on them with his thumb.
Owen Gonsalves: You know, Ace...There's a really popular phrase that's used, almost too much on this business. I believe it goes something like “Be careful what you wish for". And now...now it seems like our friends Joey and Ryder, finally...FINALLY get what they wished for.
Gonsalves and Watson take just a few steps forward, but the Reapers don't back down. The two teams start inching closer and closer to one another until Perello throws his arm to the side to hold Ryder back.
Joey Perello: No. Week after week we’ve called you out and you didn’t come running. We’re not on your time, boys. You are on ours.
Perello gestures to the opposite direction with his head, Ryder looking like he still wants to fight. Owen and Ace continue to stare down both Perello and Ryder until Perello turns around and Ryder reluctantly follows along. Owen and Ace whisper something to one another, shrug their shoulders, and eventually pounce on the Reapers with rights and lefts!
Kris Cruise: We have a fight on our hands!
Stephy Auger: A cheap attack you mean!
Shootcamp begins taking it to the Reapers, Ace throwing Perello shoulder first into the nearest card door while Owen delivers a fury of punches straight to McKnight’s face! Ace pulls Perello away from the vehicle, but Perello catches Ace with a left hook to the body and proceeds to throw him into the same car door! Perello moves toward Owen and begins raking his eyes, leaving him open for Ryder to deliver a kick straight to the gut!
The Reapers in Pride set Owen up for a double team suplex onto a number of pallets directly behind them, but before they can lift him up, Ace charges forward and spears McKnight straight onto the pallets! Perello tries to rip Ace away, but Owen pulls Perello back and the two begin exchanging blows!
Kris Cruise: We had to have known this was coming! After a number of sneak attacks, Shootcamp is finally getting their revenge!
Stephy Auger: How could you cheer this on?! This is criminal! You don’t just attack someone in the parking lot as they’re leaving their place of employment! This is assault!
The teams continue to exchange blows, Shootcamp getting the better of the exchange until Ryder McKnight grabs a two by four lying in the parking lot and blasts Ace Watson in the ribs! The sound of the shot is enough to make Owen turn around, which gives Perello the opening to push forward and blast Owen with an elbow to the back of the head!
McKnight goes to hit Owen with the two by four, but Owen kicks it out of his hand and catches McKnight with a roundhouse kick with the opposite leg! Perello sees and charges in to save his club brother, but Ace steps in front of his partner, picks Perello up and uses his own momentum to spinebuster him straight onto the pallets!
Stephy Auger: WILL SOMEONE STOP THIS!
Kris Cruise: You know what they say about karma, Stephy.
Owen and Ace try to bring the fight to McKnight and Perello some more, but a number of officials come running into the picture and step in between the members of Shootcamp. It takes a half a dozen of them to stop the tag team, Ryder McKnight helping Perello to his feet, both men waving Shootcamp to say they want more!
Another half a dozen officials run into the parking lot, these ones stopping Perello and McKnight from reaching Shootcamp until Vertigo returns to ringside while all four men shout threats at one another.

Page sets up to deliver the Trauma Symphony (Boma Ye) when Chris Bond climbs up onto the apron! He gains Page’s attention and quickly pays the price with a straight jaw to the jaw that knocks him down to the floor! But Bond was able to provide a timely distraction, allowing Harter to roll into the ring, run over and clip the back of Page’s knee from behind! When Page crumbles to the canvas, the ref calls for the DQ! Jimmy Page def. Molly Reid via DQ (14:47) The crowd erupts with boos as Harter and Reid stomp the hell out of Page. The boos turn to cheers as Pendragon make their way down to the ring. As soon as they slide in, Reid and Harter meet Durden and Moss with stomps to the back. Bond then rolls back in, mounts himself on top of Page and rams the back of his head against the canvas while Harter & Reid continue to put the boos to Pendrago. Jaelynn Ramsey climbs back over the guardrail and slides back into the ring with the stolen Mid-Atlantic Legacy Championship belt. She begins to whip Moss with it while Harter and Bond double team Page. Racing down the aisle is Sadie San Francisco. She slides into the ring, spins Ramsey around, and blasts her with punches to the face. But she gets attacked from behind by Fenrys. As the crowd rains down a deluge of boos on the New Murder, the lights go down and some music starts playing over the sound system. There is a momentary pause from both the crowd and the New Murder at the unexpected interruption, until long-time fans and the long-tenured Harter and Bond reach a moment of revelation. Harter and Bond’s faces go pallid as they turn toward the entrance ramp. “I’mmmmmm the maaaaaan in the box…”
“Buuuried innnnnnnnnn my pit…”
“Won’t you coooooome and saaaaaaave me…”
“Save me…” As the lyrics “won’t you come and save me…” fade into the crowd, the lights come back up, and a man emerges from behind the curtain, wearing a weather-beaten black motorcycle jacket, black jeans, boots and – most ominously – dragging a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire. In the ring, the fear is evident on the face of Dom Harter; the color having drained from his face as if he’s seen a ghost. He staggers towards the ropes furthest away from the ramp, holding on with both hands as most of the rest of his crows continue on undeterred. Kris Cruise: Who…who is that? Stephy Auger: Is it…OH! MY! GOD! The man whips back a cascade of dirty locks from his face, and under a thick, scraggly beard is the familiar visage of the Murder’s original “Head Crow,” Malcolm Drake. Kris Cruise: No… Stephy Auger: Malcolm Drake! Malcolm Drake is back! A sinister smirk curls under the beard, as Drake saunters towards the ring, the sound of metal grating against metal following him as he drags the barbed-wire bat behind him. Reid, Ramsey, and Fenrys look confused but ready to fight, but Bond and Harter look as if they’re staring down a living nightmare; all their worst fears marching stoically towards them. Bond turns to Dom, asking him what to do – but Harter is frozen in fear. His wide eyes staring at Malcolm Drake as he marches down the aisle. Halfway to the ring, Drake darts forward, sliding under the bottom rope and popping to his feet before the New Murder can descend on him. With reckless abandon, he wields the barbed-wire bat in wild arcs. The whirling weapon connects only with air, narrowly missing Harter’s face by inches! Dom rolls out under the bottom rope, followed close behind by the rest of the New Murder as they realize that Malcolm Drake didn’t come here to mess around. Harter, Bond, Fenrys, Molly, Jaelynn and TCB start regrouping at the ramp. The cavalier assault on the ring gives Page, Lowri, Sadie, and Durden a chance to slowly regain their feet, as Drake motions for a microphone from ringside. Retrieving it, he turns his attention back to the New Murder, but his piercing blue-grey eyes fall on no one except Dom Harter. The two men staring at each other as if nobody else exists in the world. Drake drops to his knees, laying the bat down and sticking his torso between the second and third ropes; arms outstretched as if ready to take flight. On the outside, Dom can be seen standing in front of his fellow crows, almost as if to protect them from what’s in the ring. Slowly, Malcolm draws his arms back in, leaning his chest against the middle rope and bringing the microphone to his lips. In his singular, sing-song cadence he speaks. Malcolm Drake: What do we do, with little birdies who won’t behave? Hmmm? A cage! A cage! We lock them… in… a… cage. The crowd cheers briefly, but subsides into baited silence. Malcolm Drake: The Murder used to FLY as one… At Steel Warfare, the New Murder will DIE as one. Drake flips the microphone to the outside, rising to his feet with his arms outstretched and slowly steps backwards until he is surrounded by Page, Lowri, Sadie, and Durden… signaling himself as the fifth member of Team Page. Stephy Auger: Oh! My! God! Malcolm Drake is the fifth member of Team Page!? Kris Cruise: Looks like Dom was right when he said nobody on the roster would step up, but it turns out nobody would have to! Jimmy Page has managed to find the one man who could turn this whole thing on its head! At ringside, Dom can be seen and heard screaming “no!” repeatedly at the ring – or more specifically, at the man in the box. But “Man In The Box” starts up again as Team Page stand tall, and The New Murder begin to back track up the aisle.
