☆ Quarterfinals of Rel del Aire ‘18 ☆The match starts with Cassius Reed apologizing for all his showboating at the Press Conference and offers a handshake as a sign of respect. Jack Tillman turns to Chris Constantine and motions to Reed, as if to ask, “is he serious?” Constantine is hesitant to trust Reed. Tillman narrows his eyes before slowly nodding his head. He goes in for the handshake when Reed pulls his hand back and moonwalks away from Tillman while he runs his hands through his afro. Annoyed, Tillman charges over to attack. But Reed ducks and dumps him over the top rope and to the floor. While Tillman is getting up on the outside, Reed runs into the far ropes. When he returns, he takes out Tillman with a slingshot hurricanrana! Reed brings him back inside and makes the cover. But it only gets a two count. As the match continues, Reed lights up Tillman in the corner with a flurry of right jabs. An irish whip then sends The Ripper into the opposite corner. Reed runs across the ring to follow up with an attack when Tillman returns the favor by dumping him over the top rope. Instead of crashing to the floor, Reed lands safely on the apron. When Tillman turns around, Reed doubles him over with a shoulder thrust through the ropes before bringing him down with SWEET CHRISTMAS! (sunset flip powerbomb). But it only gets a two count. Tillman is then sent into the ropes with another irish whip. When he returns, Reed tackles him down with a Lou Thesz Press! The Funky Dragon mounts himself on top of Tillman and rains down with punches to the face. But Tillman’s able to roll over, mount on top of Reed and return the favor with open palm strikes. He then grabs Reed by his afro with both hands and repeated rams the back of his head against the canvas. Tillman pulls up Reed before bringing him back down with a swinging neck breaker for a two count. A russian leg sweep also gets a two count. Tillman sets up for a German Suplex when Reed blocks it with multiple elbows to the face. Once free, Reed runs into the ropes. When he returns, Tillman throws him down with an STO for another two count! In the sixth minute, Tillman goes for a vertical suplex. But Reed slips down from behind and follows up with a reverse DDT for a two count. He then delivers an inverted facelock backbreaker for a two count. A bridging northern light suplex also gets a count of two. After a scoop slam, Reed heads out onto the apron before scaling to the top turnbuckle. He flips off for a diving somersault leg drop. But Tillman rolls out of the way, causing Reed to crash onto the canvas! Tillman then drags Reed back into the corner before rolling to the outside. He then pulls Reed even closer into the corner before applying a figure four leglock around the ringpost! Reed howls in pain while Reed cinches in the hold. Due to the illegal nature of the hold, Tillman reluctantly breaks the hold just before the ref’s count reaches five. Tillman rolls back inside, picks up Reed and delivers a bridging fisherman suplex for a count of two. Tillman brings Reed back into the corner and nails him with alternating European Uppercuts and elbow strikes. He then scoops Reed up from the side, heads out of the corner and delivers a sidewalk slam for another two count. Tillman picks up Reed, hooks his arms from behind and goes for a Dragon Suplex. But Reed reverses into a wheelbarrow victory roll before transitioning into an Indian Deathlock! Tillman howls in pain as Reed applies pressure. The ref asks the founding Dogs of War member if he wants to give up. But Tillman refuses. He then begins to scoot himself backwards towards the side of the ring. Chris Constantine then takes the bottom rope and pushes it forward, making it easier for Tillman to reach out and grab. The ref scolds Constantine for his interference before turning to Reed and giving him until the count of five to break the hold. Reed let’s the ref know that, “I’ve got ‘till five, fool!” Once the ref’s count reaches four, Reed reluctantly breaks the hold. After pulling Tillman back up, Reed hits him with the Spanish Archer (Bionic Elbow), sending him stumbling backwards into the corner. Reed heads into the corner and unleashes body blows before following up with the Pimp Slap (backhand slap). An irish whip sends the DoW member into the opposite corner. After massaging his leg, Reed runs across the ring to attack. But Tillman knocks him back with a back elbow to the face. Tillman then runs out of the corner and throws out a clothesline. But Reed ducks. When Tillman turns around, Reed hits him with a quick right hand slap. After a right jab-right jab-left hook boxing combo, Reed spins in place before whacking Tillman across the face with a spinning backhand slap! Reed then delivers Johnny Cage (split-legged punch) before following up with What The Funk? (kip up hurricanrana). Once Reed returns to his feet, he goes for Funky Knee, Funky Do (standing moonsault knee drop) when Tillman rolls out of the way, causing Reed’s knees to crash on the canvas! Reed howls in pain as he rolls over towards the ropes. As Reed pulls himself up to a knee using the ropes, Tillman runs up from behind and clobbers him with the Mind Eraser No Chaser (V-Trigger)! Tillman pulls a groggy Reed up from off the mat, grabs him from behind, rolls him out in front of him and throws out the Ballroom Blitz (Rainmaker). But Reed ducks and counters with a floatover DDT! With Tillman down, Reed rolls out onto the apron. After pulling himself up using the ropes. He slaps his leg before waving up Tillman.
