Mark Storm vs. James Edwards
The house lights go down, and the arena stays black during the garbled opening guitar rift, then, "Okay." Strobe lights move with the easy beat of the song. James appears at the top of the ramp with the hood on his ring jacket up. He takes a few moments survey everything before him. The hood goes down with the opening lyrics. Moving with the meandering pace of the music, his eyes never leave the ring.
Melanie Sierra: Ladies and gentlemen, this contest has been scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Lexington, Kentucky! Weighing in at 204 pounds! He is “The Burning Heart” JAAAAAMES EEEDWAAAARRRRDSSS!!!
He laps the squared circle, slides under the bottom ropes, and bows martial arts style to all four corners before settling into his own.
Short Change Hero by The Heavy begins to play through the speakers and the lights in the arena simultaneously dim down. Smoke begins to rise from the top of the stage and appearing on the screen above are the following words;
YOUR HERO, AND MINE
A massive pop ensues as emerging from the back is the self proclaimed "Prince of CHAOS", Mark Storm; who keeps himself composed as he stands at the top of the entrance ramp. He can't help but allow his sadistic signature smirk to appear upon his lips as he closes his eyes and spreads his arms out wide, soaking in the energy that the audience are giving him as they applaud and cheer.
Melanie Sierra: From New York, Brooklyn.. weighing in at 220 pounds - Your Hero, and Mine.. MARRKKKK STORMMMMMM
He begins his walk down the entrance ramp, with a leather coat completing his attire as he comes down the entrance ramp.
This ain't no place for no hero.
This ain't no place for no better man.
This ain't no place for no hero
To call "home."
At this point, Storm is by the edge of the ring; allowing a smile to embed on his face before he jumps onto the apron and holds onto the ropes, using them to help himself up onto the turnbuckle. He's grinning from ear to ear, soaking in the rest of the cheers coming from the audience, shaking his head sideways as he lowers it, before jumping into the ring.
Taking off his leather coat, he hands it to the ring announcer before walking over to his designated corner and hoisting himself up onto the second ropes, a smirk upon his lips as he holds his arms up; his theme song slowly diminishing.
Geoff Penzer: These two put on a heck of a contest last week on Vertigo. However, the match didn’t meet a satisfying conclusion as both men were unable to answer the referee’s ten count, resulting in a Draw.
The bell sounds as both men start thing off with a handshake, which results in cheers from the crowd.
Both men then step back and begin circling the ring before locking up. After jockeying for position, Storm places Edwards in a side headlock. Storm tries to really lock in the hold. But Edwards slips out and reverses into a hammerlock. The ref asks Storm if he wants to give up. But Storm refuses. He then reaches back with his free arm and reverses into another side headlock. But it doesn’t stay on for long as Edwards shoves Storm off of him and into the ropes. When Storm returns, Edwards knocks him down with a standing shoulder block. He then quickly drops down into a lateral press.

Edward spicks up Storm and places him in a side headlock. Storm can be heard groaning as Edwards wrenches in the hold. The ref goes over and asks if he wants to give up. But Storm refuses. He then goes to shove Edwards off into the ropes. But Edwards keeps the hold locked on. So Storm wraps his arms around Edwards as he moves him into the ropes. He then goes to get a running start before shoving Edwards off into the far ropes. But Edwards keeps the hold locked on as he drops down to a knee. Edwards continues to wrench in the hold. The ref asks Storm again if he wants to give up. But just like last time, Storm refuses. As Storm tries to slowly battle back to a vertical base, Edwards is quick to throw him down with a side headlock takeover. Storm then quickly reaches up and reverses into a headscissors. Edwards then tries to escape with a kip up. But he can’t. After shifting around on the canvas, Edwards goes for another kip up. But again, it gets blocked as Storm keeps the headscissors locked on tight. He then slaps his thigh as he tightens the hold.
Edwards can be seen gritting his teeth while he groans. The ref asks him if he wants to give up. But once again, he refuses. After slowly turning over onto his knees, Edwards reaches over and presses down on Storm’s thighs. After Edwards quickly slips out, he pops back to his feet, grabs Storms’ left leg and drops down into a leg grapevine. Storm can be seen grimacing as Edwards pulls back on the leg. The ref gets down and asks Storm if he wants to give up. But Storm refuses, Edwards arches back, increasing the pressure on the leg.
Storm can be seen shaking his head in between grabbing his hair with his hands. The ref asks him if he wants to give up. But once again, Storm refuses. He then uses his right leg to repeatedly kick away at Edwards. Once the hold is broken, both men scramble back to a vertical base. But Edwards beats him to the punch with a knee to the midsection. He then follows up with a high knee lift that knocks Storm back down. He drops down and makes the cover.

So Storm goes for another irish whip attempt. But again, it gets blocked. Edwards then quickly lets go of the rope, grabs Storm and tosses him against the ropes. The crowd cheers when Edwards unleashes a ballistic combination of rights and lefts to the body. He then takes Storm and whips him into the far ropes. When Storm returns, Edwards throws out a lariat. But Storm ducks and runs into the ropes. When Storm comes back, Edwards throws him down with a snap powerslam. He hooks the leg for the cover.

Geoff Penzer: Edwards with yet another nearfall. Storm continue to avoid the dreaded three count. As much as Edwards is cool under pressure, the inability to put away Storm has to be starting to get to him.
Edwards picks up Storm, moves him against the ropes and unloads on him with five forearm strikes to the face. While Storm tries to shake off the cobwebs, Edwards runs into the far ropes. When Edwards returns, Storm knocks him back with a front kick. Storm then uses the momentum to roll over the top rope and land on the apron. As Edwards heads back over to attack, Storm springboards onto the top rope, dives over onto Edwards’ shoulders and flips back for a hurricanrana. But Edwards counters with a folding powerbomb.

Edwards pulls back on the head and neck while Storm can be heard groaning in pain. The ref then gets down and asks Storm if he wants to give up. When he refuses to quit, Edwards begins to repeatedly yank back on the hold.
Geoff Penzer: Edwards is really starting to fight for that submission. Both of these men are competing over in Pride of Puroresu’s round robin tournament. I’m not advising Storm to give up. But maybe he has to think about trying to avoid further damage.
Edwards continue to pull back on the hold while Storm groans. The ref asks Storm if he wants to give up. But again, Storm refuses.

Crowd: “MY HERO!!!”
Storm begins to feed off the energy of the crowd and uses his left arm to pull himself sideways. Edwards grits his teeth and pulls back as he tries to slow down Storm. But he only does so temporarily. Storm continue to fight through the pain as he slowly drags himself towards the side of the ring. He then blindly reaches his left arm over to the side… and grab onto the bottom rope. The ref then gives Edwards until a count of five to break the hold.
Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOU-
Edwards lets go. Edwards picks up Storm, leans him against the ropes and delivers a knife edge chop that doubles him over. But Edwards isn’t done. He pulls Storm back up by the hair, leans him against the ropes and delivers a blistering knife edge chop that drops Storm down to one knee. But again, Edwards isn’t done. He reaches down and slowly pulls up Storm by the hair before whipping him into the far ropes. When Storm returns, he throws out a bicycle knee strike. But Edwards sidesteps and swats his knee down. After Storm lands on his feet, Edwards quickly grabs him from behind and throws out the Second Gospel (Rainmaker Bicycle High Knee). But Storm catches his knee. While Edwards hops on one leg, Storm throws him down with a dragon screw leg whip before turning him over into a single leg crab.
Geoff Penzer: Edwards now finds himself on the receiving end of a submission!
Edwards groans while Storm keeps the hold locked on. The ref gets down and asks Edwards if he wants to give up. But Edwards shakes his head, refusing to quit. So Storm leans further back, increasing the pressure.
Geoff Penzer: Edwards brought this match to a slow pace as he tried to wear down Storm. But Storm battled back and now he’s in the driver seat!
Edwards groans through gritted teeth while Storm has him trapped in the center of the ring. The ref asks Edwards if he wants to give up. But once again, Edwards refuses. The Burning Heart tries to fight through the pain by pulling himself towards the ropes. But Storm drags him back towards the center of the ring before transitioning into a Muta Lock.
Geoff Penzer: Storm just switched over into another submission!
The ref gets down and asks Edwards if he wants to give up. When he refuses to quit, Storm begins yanking away on the head and neck.
Geoff Penzer: Storm is fighting like hell for the submission! But The Burning Heart will not tap out.
Edwards continues to groan while Storm continues to yank away on the hold. The ref asks him if he wants to give up. Edwards lifts his right arm up… and wags his finger at the ref. He then tries to fight through the pain while he drags himself towards the ropes. The crowd continues to cheer as The Burning Heart continues his trek towards the ropes. He then reaches out… and grabs the bottom rope, resulting in cheers and applause from the crowd. Storm then releases the hold before letting out a disappointed sigh.
Storm picks up Edwards, moves him into the corner and delivers a kick flurry in the corner. He then takes Edwards and goes for an irish whip. But Edwards reverses, sending him into the turnbuckles. After reaching down and massaging his knee, Edwards charges across the ring. But Storm counters with a back elbow to the face before following up with a springboard backflip into a reverse DDT. As Edwards starts to pick himself up on the outside, Storm returns to his feet and runs into the ropes. When Storm returns, the crowd explodes with cheers as he runs full steam ahead, hurls himself over the top rope and flattens Edwards with a somersault dive.

Melanie Sierra: Ladies and gentlemen, the referee has informed me at this time that a decisive fall could not be reached in the allotted time for this matchup. Therefore, this contest has been ruled a TIME LIMIT DRAW!
The crowd erupts with boos at the decision. Storm drops his head while Edwards slowly lowers his arm.
Geoff Penzer: The fans have once again been robbed of a conclusion between Mark Storms and James Edwards. As bad as I feel for the fans, I feel even worse for them. Maybe one day we’ll find out who the better wrestler is between those two.
