Cyncity vs. Pedro Gonzales
It starts the way all life starts. A heartbeat, heavy breathing, and darkness. The bass kicks in doubling the beat, the groove sneaks itself inside as a random assortment of lights flicker on the ramp way before a spotlight hits on a lone figure with a red hooded cape who shuffles his feet atop the ramp.
Melanie Sierra: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is your main event of the evening! Introducing first, from Mexico City, Mexico! Weighing in at 115 pounds! He is “The New Pride of Mexico” PEDRO GONZALES!
He keeps his head down before unveiling himself as Pedro Gonzales by taking off the cape with a flourish. He spreads his arms out as he races past, slapping as many fans hands as possible before sliding into the ring. Cue face like theatrics.
Geoff Penzer: Pedro Gonzales is looking to gain a measure of revenge here tonight against Cyncity. It was two weeks ago that Cyncity attacked Maritza, forcing her out of action with a knee injury. Will justice be served here tonight? Or will Da God smite down another non-believer?
The beginning of "Gangstas Paradise" by Coolio fills the arena speakers, the crowd coming alive with different sounds and reactions. The lights in the arena dim down just enough for different parts of the building to fill up in various colors forming a rainbow all around the arena.
"There are no heroes left..."
Cyncity's voice echoes over her theme song, the tron showing visuals of her retirement night. The first clips features an emotional Cyncity hugging fans outside the arena, but then quickly transitions to the same fans cheering the likes of Zero McHannon, Johnny Karma, and many others who Cyn battled against.
"Because of you..."
Cyn's voice is heard once more, the visual turning into her bright blue eyes, a tear sliding down her cheek. Her eyes close, and the rainbow filling the arena turns black.
"You won't forget about me this time."
Right after her final words, a spotlight hits the top of the entrance ramp to illuminate Cyncity, her hair drenched in water and her eyes fixed on the ring. She pays no mind to the screaming fans, methodically stepping toward the ring as her theme song hits its chorus.
MASCOT STITCH: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls! YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO CHEER FOR THIS WOMAN ANYMORE!
She makes it to ringside, scans the crowd, and scoffs at their existence. She places her knee on the apron and uses the ropes to pull herself up.
MASCOT STITCH: With that said, LET IT BE KNOWN THAT YOU ARE IN THE PRESENCE OF GREATNESS! LET IT BE KNOWN THAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO WITNESS THE B.I.T.W. BEAST IN THE WIIIIIIIIIIIILD!
She motions for the referee to hold the ropes open for her, refusing to enter the ring until he does so.
MASCOT STITCH: FROM KILLA-DELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA. SHE IS NO DVD TAPINGS OFF. THE THREEPEAT KILLER. MISS WHAM-BAM-THANK YOU-MAM! CYNNNNNNNCIIIIIIIIITYYYYYYYYYYY!
Finally entering the ring, she moves toward the corner of the hard cam, climbs up to the middle ropes, and slowly raises her arms in the air to fill the arena with light. She throws up two C's with her hand, then hops back into ring to get loose for her match.
Geoff Penzer: Cyncity’s having her first match here on Thursday Night Challenge. The Paramount Champion hasn’t competed in 3GW since winning the Red Carpet Rumble to win that very title. Cyncity doesn’t look nervous. But neither is Gonzales. He doesn’t look nervous or intimidated. If anything, he’s prepared to fi-
The match starts with Pedro immediately going after Cyncity. But Cyncity is able to stick herself halfway through the ropes, which forces the ref to move Gonzalez back. The crowd erupts with boos as Cyncity shoos the non-believer away.
Once Gonzales is a safe distance away from her, Cyncity gets back in the ring. The two then begin to circle the ring before motioning for a lock up. But at the last second, Cyncity opts out in favor of a stomp to the foot. She then takes Gonzales and goes for an irish whip. But Gonzales reverses, sending Cyncity into the ropes. When Cyncity returns, she delivers a spinning headscissors takedown. Gonzales returns to his feet. But Cyncity runs over and connects with a dropkick, sending Gonzales through the ropes and to the floor.
Geoff Penzer: The champ quickly sends Gonzales out to the floor.
Cyncity steps out onto the apron and waves up Gonzales. After Gonzales returns to his feet and turns around, Cyncity runs along the apron before flipping off and knocking him down with a senton.
Geoff Penzer: Cyncity knocks Gonzales down with that flip off the apron!
Cyncity picks up Gonzales and slams him face-first onto the apron before rolling him back inside. She then rolls herself back in and makes the cover.

Gonzales kicks out.
Cyncity picks up Gonzales, moves him into the corner and unleashes a series of knife edge chops that echo throughout the arena. She then hears a non-believer in the crowd and asks for Mascot Stitch to point him out. Once Stitch points out the non-believer in the crowd, Cyncity points her finger at him and gives him a talking to.
Geoff Penzer: Cyncity is reading the riot act to that fan. But she better not take her ey-
When Cyncity turns her attention back to Gonzales, the New Pride of Mexico grabs her, tosses her into the corner and delivers a series of knife edge chops of his own. He then takes Cyncity, delivers an irish whip and follows her into the corner. But at the last second, Gonzales slams the brakes when Cyncity performs a headstand on the top turnbuckle. As Gonzales heads into the corner to attack, Cyncity knocks him down with a mule kick to the chest.
Cyncity steps through the ropes, springboards onto the top rope and teases going for the Standing Ovation (shooting star diving double foot stomp). But instead, Cyncity nonchalantly hops down and kicks Gonzales in the head. The crowd boos.
Cyncity picks up Gonzales and whips him into the ropes. When Gonzales returns, Cyncity brings him down with a drop toe hold. After making her way across his back, she applies a grounded side headlock. The ref then kneels down and asks Gonzales if he wants to give up. When Gonzales refuses, Cyncity thumbs him in the eyes. The ref admonishes Cyncity for the illegal tactic. But she shakes her head while pretending not to hear him.
Gonzales begins to battle his back back to his feet. Cyncity tries to hang on. But she can’t as Gonzales pushes her off of him and into the ropes. But instead of coming back, Cyncity hangs onto the ropes. So Gonzales runs over to attack. But Cyncity grabs the top rope, sending Gonzales down to the floor. While Cyncity raises her arms in the air and walks away from her, Gonzales stays on the floor having landed safely on his feet.
Geoff Penzer: Cyncity thinks Gonzales crashed on the floor. But she has no idea he landed safely on the outside!
Mascot Stitch can be seen frantically pointing behind Cyncity. Once she finally notices, it’s too late as Gonzales connects with a dropkick from behind. After Cyncity is knocked through the ropes and to the outside, Gonzales takes off into the far ropes. When Gonzales returns, he hurls himself over the top rope and connects with a no hands topé. But instead of knocking down Cyncity, he knocks down Mascot Stitch, who moves himself into the way.
Geoff Penzer: Mascot Stitch just took one for the team!
As Gonzales tries to get up off the floor, Cyncity rushes over and puts the boots to him. The Paramount Champion then picks up Gonzales and goes to slam him face-first onto the apron. But Gonzales blocks by putting his hands out on the apron. After an elbow to the midsection, the crowd cheer when Gonzales slams Cyncity face-first onto the apron. He then slides back into the ring and runs into the far ropes. When Gonzales returns, he knocks Cyncity back with a baseball slide.
But Gonzales isn’t done!
He turns to his feet and runs back into the far ropes. When Gonzales returns, the crowd erupts with cheers as he knocks Cyncity down with a double rotation tornillo to the outside!
Geoff Penzer: What a move by Pedro Gonzales!!!
Gonzales picks up Cyncity and rolls her back inside. He then slides back in and makes the cover.

The crowd boos when Cyncity gets her foot on the bottom rope.
Gonzales picks up Cyncity and whips her into the ropes. When Cyncity returns, Gonzales throws her down with a back body drop. After crashing onto her back, Cyncity turns and scoots herself backwards into the corner. She calls for a timeout. But Gonzales is having none of it. As Gonzales approaches, Cyncity pulls herself up using the ropes. Gonzales then throws out a punch. But Cyncity cuts him off with a poke to the eyes. She then slams him face-first into the top turnbuckle before turning him around and lighting up his chest with another series of chops. However, Gonzales is quick to respond with chops of his own. Each chop knocks Cyncity back towards the center of the ring. He then takes the champ and whips her into the ropes. When Cyncity returns, Gonzales goes for another back body drop. But this time, Cyncity slips down from behind and knocks him down with a superkick to the back of the head.
Geoff Penzer: Gonzales went to the well one too many times there and the champ made him pay.
Gonzales gets up on all fours and tries to shake out the cobwebs. But Cyncity nails him with a punt kick to the head. She then pulls Gonzales back up on all fours before rolling him up with la magistral.

Gonzales kicks out.
Cyncity picks up Gonzales and delivers another hard knife edge chop. She then takes Gonzales by the arm and whips him into the ropes. When Gonzales returns, Cyncity doubles him over with a spinning back kick to the midsection before delivering a single knee facebreaker. The crowd continues to boo as she makes the cover.

Gonzales gets his shoulder up.
Cyncity heads into the corner, hoists herself up onto the middle ropes and waits for Gonzales. Once Gonzales gets back to his feet, the crowd boo when she leaps off and plants him with a diving DDT. She makes the cover.

Geoff Penzer: Another close call there for Gonzales.
Cyncity picks up Gonzales and brings him into the corner. After slamming him face-first into the top turnbuckle, Cyncity turns him around before climbing through the ropes and locking on the Tarantula. The crowd boos as Cyncity’s got the illegal hold applied.
Geoff Penzer: Cyncity’s got the Tarantula locked on!
Cyncity rocks back and forth while Gonzales can be seen wincing in pain. The ref quickly gives her until the count of five to break the hold.
Ref: ONE… TWO…. THREE… FOUR…
Cyncity reluctantly breaks the hold. She then takes Gonzales and hoists him up onto the top turnbuckle before stepping out onto the apron. Cyncity then climbs up the ropes, sits on Gonzales shoulders, pins and brings him down with a dragonsteiner. The crowd continue to boo as she crawls over and makes the cover.

The crowd gasps, then cheers as Gonzales gets his shoulder up.
Cyncity sits up Gonzales and places him in a sleeper hold.
Geoff Penzer: Cyncity’s through with this back and forth. She’s ready to put Gonzales away.
Gonzales tries to pull Cyncity’s arm from around him, but it’s to no avail. The ref begins to ask Gonzales if he wants to give up. When he refuses, Cyncity squeezes even tighter.
Geoff Penzer: She’s really got it locked in now. The pain is written all over his face. But The New Pride of Mexico is refusing to throw in the towel.
Cyncity yells at Gonzales to tap. But Gonzales refuses. Mascot Stitch can be seen shaking his head in disbelief as Gonzales slowly turns over onto his knees. Once Gonzales gets back to a vertical base, he elbows Cyncity three times in the midsection. He then motions to run towards the ropes. But Cyncity leaps up onto his shoulders before spiking him with the Cynderana (reverse hurricanrana). The crowd boos as she makes the cover.

The crowd explodes with cheers as Gonzales gets his shoulder up.
Geoff Penzer: I thought that was it right there. But Gonzales still has some fight left in him!
Cyncity picks up Gonzales and doubles him over with another spinning back kick to the gut. From there, Cyncity takes off into the ropes. When she returns, Gonzales knocks her down with a flying cross chop. When Cyncity gets back to her feet, Gonzales knocks her down with another flying cross chop. Gonzales takes Cyncity and whips her into the ropes. When the champ returns, Gonzales throws her down with an STO. He makes the cover.

Cyncity gets her shoulder up.
Gonzales takes Cyncity and goes for an irish whip. But DA GOD reverses, sending Gonzales into the corner. She rushes into the corner, but she ends up eating a boot to the face. As Cyncity turns and slowly staggers from out of the corner, Gonzales runs up from behind and brings her down with a jumping reverse bulldog. The crowd continues to cheer as he makes the cover.

The crowd boos when Cyncity gets her shoulder up.
Gonzales picks up Cyncity, marches into the corner and slams her face-first into the top turnbuckle. He then turns Cyncity around, climbs up onto the middle rope and punches her while the crowd counts along.
Crowd: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE! SIX! SEVEN! EIGHT! NINE! TE-
The crowd boos as Cyncity grabs Gonzales, runs out of the corner and delivers an inverted atomic drop. While Gonzales is doubled over, Cyncity runs into the ropes. When she returns, Gonzales sends spittle flying out of her mouth after cracking her with a bicycle knee strike.
Geoff Penzer: Gonzales caught her with that knee strike!!!
Gonzales picks up Cyncity, doubles her over with a kick to the midsection and brings her down with a The Ecstasy of Gold (rolling cross armbreaker).
Geoff Penzer: Gonzales has it locked on! He’s got his submission locked in!
Cyncity can be seen kicking her legs as she howls in pain from the hold. The crowd is yelling at her to tap while Gonzales fight for the submission. But the submission is broken once Mascot Stitch pulls Cyncity to the outside.
Geoff Penzer: What the heck is this!
The crowd erupts with boos as Cyncity marches down to the timekeeper's table, snatches up her Paramount Championship belt, and makes her way down ringside and up the aisle.
Geoff Penzer: No she isn’t… no, yes she is! Cyncity is walking out on this match!
The crowd continues to boo as Cyncity makes her way with her mascot in tow. They both turn and shout as they make their way up the aisle.
Cyncity: I HAVE NOTHING TO PROVE, PEDRO! I HAVE NOTHING TO PROVE, 3GW! I HAVE NOTHING TO PROVE, NON-BELIEVERS!”
Mascot Stitch: “SHE HAS NOTHING TO PROVE!”
As the two make their way through the curtain, the ref calls for the bell.
Melanie Sierra: Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner as a result of a countout, PEDRO GONZALES!
“The Wages of Sin” blasts over the PA upon Gonzales being announced as the winner. The ref raises his arm. But Gonzales pulls it away from the ref. Clearly he’s not in the mood to celebrate.
Geoff Penzer: Pedro Gonzales isn’t satisfied with this win and neither are the fans. But they’re not mad at Gonzales. They’re mad at the Paramount Champion, who just walked out on this main event! She might have slithered her way out of this one. But something tells me she won’t be so lucky at Showdown in the Sun, when she’s in the ring with five other people who are gunning for her championship!
