“What? I endured a 15 hour flight from my hometown of Sydney, Australia.” Mercy retorted.
Mercy was dressed down in a beanie and a graphic t-shirt. A far cry of Mercy’s glamorous self of leaving a little to the imagination. Mercy had spent the last 10 days in her hometown of Sydney for Christmas having just arrived back to California in time for the final Thursday Night Challenge of 2016. For some reason, Mercy didn’t want to waste time getting ready for her promo time, allegedly setting up the 3GW crew to film her as soon as she arrived at the arena. Mercy removed her beanie and ruffled through her thick light brown hair and adjusted her graphic tee into a crop top to show off her toned stomach.
“I suppose that’s better.” Mercy motioning for a mirror off camera to gussy herself up even more. Mercy could see her jetlag was all over her face, but she remembered that she’s a professional. She had to make a smooth recovery to the cameras. Mercy echoed for the makeup crew to do some final touches to her makeup. Mercy returned her attention back to the camera with a big smile upon her face when the makeup artist left the frame.
“Hope everyone had a good holiday yada yada, etc… etc..” Mercy’s voice trailed off, with a big groan. Mercy already appeared sick of being fake nice to the camera.
“Like i care if you guys had a good holiday or not. I mean, my holidays were fantastic because I spent it in the summer sun in my bikini, rather than cooped up in the ridiculous cold. But alas, I’m am glad to be back in California because I’m on the card for the next Challenge. After my impressive showing at the Red Carpet Rumble, it’s not even hard to believe that yours truly is appearing on the show. I give the show ratings.”
“I mean, you guys should be thanking me for saving 3GW from premature closure. Even though I didn’t win the Paramount Championship, I saved you guys from having a champion like…”
Mercy paused for a moment before she could say the name was she was referring to. “The name I should keep nameless. Because really, she doesn’t deserve my attention. I don’t want to give her that gratification of giving her the mention.”
Mercy pressed her lips together to avoid saying the name was was thinking of. Mercy took a deep inhale and spoke again.
“But you know, I’m facing a chick named Peaches on TNC.”
Mercy took another pause. “Peaches.”
Peaches and cream
I need it cause you know that I'm a fiend
Gettin' freaky in my Bentley limousine
It's even better when it's with ice cream
Know what I mean, peaches and cream”
Mercy sang the lyrics of the 2001 hit from 112. She couldn’t help to be reminded of the song she used to jam to when she was an innocent 8 year old.
“This is supposed to be our first square off, I think. I never actually paid attention to her, to be honest. From what I’ve heard, she’s really sweet and apparently she is friends with Dom Harter, but that’s already her first mistake. But really, what she’s heard from Dominic about me doesn’t really matter.” Mercy rolled her eyes, shaking her head.
“All I can say that he missed his opportunity and he just needs to move on.” Mercy flicked long her hair away from her shoulders.
“But moving onto more important things. I can say that I’m sort of aware that she was bulldozed by Macy Dover. Macy took care of her and now I guess little Peaches probably wants to get a special W over moi. Do you really think I want to allow little sweet ol’ Peaches to score a win over me.”
Mercy snorted laugh. “Please.”
“Ah it’s adorable when the ones who think being nice will get ‘em far. Too bad, for me I learned that the hard way. All I can do is guide Peaches as her teacher and show her how it’s really done. You gotta play dirty to get far in this business, no matter what. How does that saying go? ‘Nice people finish last’?”
Mercy let out a loud ‘HA’
“Miss Peaches and Cream. I’ll see ya’ out there.”
Mercy clapped her hands together and made the cut motion her hands to to signal that she was done.
