★★★ 3GW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH ★★★
Bueno Club vs. Gold Star Connection
Melanie Sierra: The following contest, scheduled for... ONE FALL, is for the 3GW Tag Team Championship!
Cheers and applause can be heard throughout Center Stage Arena. Two ringside attendants walk along opposite sides of the ring apron holding up the newly revealed 3GW Tag Team Championship belts.
“Get Fresh With You” by Teddybears feat. Laza Morgan begins to play as The Gold Star Connection explode through the entrance. Layla is whipping around in circles to make the tassels on her legs and arms swing wildly, while Lukas displays her with pride. They continues this down the ramp, bouncing along and occasionally slapping a hand or two until they reach the steps, bouncing up them and then posing on the apron, arms extended straight out to the sides, feet wide to form a ‘star’ shape, then Layla climbing on the top rope and repeating the pose before leaping down into the ring and twirling around.
Melanie Sierra: Introducing team number one! Weighing in at a total combined weight of 310 pounds! They are the team of “Glorious” Lukas Gold and “Interstellar” Layla Star… the GOOOOOOLD STAAAAAR CONNEEEEEECCCCCTIOOOOOON!
Lukas leaps over the top rope and heads up the turnbuckle, posing for the fans with his arms raised high again, before finally backflipping off the turnbuckle and landing on his feet as the music fades.
As the music starts, El Grandé Malo bounces out, Bueno Club shirt and all to the beat as a multitude of lights blink along. A moment later, Pedro Gonzales swaggers out and kneels down, sliding off his ring robe revealing his own Bueno Club shirt before popping back up to his feet.
Melanie Sierra: Introducing team number two! Weighing in at a total combined weight of 320 pounds! They are the team of the “Pride of Mexico, Maine” El Grandé Malo and “Mexico City’s Favorite Son” Pedro Gonzales… the BUEEEEEEENOOOOO CLUUUUUUB!!!
They both hop about before heading to the ring, weaving back and forth in each other's paths all the way down giving some love to fans on both side of the rampway before sliding into the ring.
Geoff Penzer: These two teams are no strangers to one another. They’ve been trading some victories back and forth. But what’s interesting to note is that Layla Star is currently winless against both members of Bueno Club. Meanwhile, El Grandé Malo has defeated both members of the Gold Star Connection. Some have argued that both Pedro Gonzales and Layla Star are the weak links of their respective teams. Do Gonzales and Star feel like they have something to prove here tonight? Have those alleged “weak links” been strengthened? We’re about to find out.
The match starts with Gonzales and Gold circling the ring before locking up. After jockeying for position, Gold places Gonzales in a side headlock. But Gonzales doesn’t stay trapped for lock as he’s able to slip out and reverse into a hammerlock. He then quickly spins Gold around and catches him in a side headlock before throwing him down with a side headlock takeover. Gold then reaches up with his legs before reversing into a headscissors. The ref then gets down and asks Gonzales if he wants to give up. After Gonzales refuses, he escapes with a kip up.
Gold scrambles back to his feet, where he gets caught in another side headlock. But Gold quickly shoves Gonzales off of him and into the ropes. When Gonzales returns, Gold leapfrogs over him. Gonzales continues to run into the ropes. When Gonzales comes back, Gold goes for a hip toss. But Gonzales steps through it before throwing him down with a hip toss. Gold gets back to his feet, but Gonzales is quick to throw him back down with an arm drag. After Gold gets back to his feet, Gonzales grabs him by the arm, wrenches it, drags him into the Bueno Club corner and tags EGM in.
The crowd cheers when EGM gets in, grabs Gold by the arm, wrenches it and tags Gonzales back in. When Gonzales gets back in, he wrenches Gold’s arm and tags EGM back in. After wrenching Gold’s arm, Gold reverses into an arm wrench of his own. EGM then rolls forward, leans back, kips up and throws Gold down with a wristlock takedown. After Gold gets back up, EGM throws him down with an arm drag. Gold returns to his feet. But EGM is quick to return him to the mat with another arm drag. When Gold gets back to his feet, EGM delivers an overflow armdrag, which sends Gold rolling to the outside.
As Gold gets back to his feet, EGM runs into the far ropes. When EGM comes back, Star gets in and goes to cut him off with a running high knee. But EGM ducks before hurling himself over the top rope and knocks Gold down with a leaping somersault plancha!
Geoff Penzer: Malo ducks the high knee from Star before taking it to the air and knocking down Gold!
As soon as EGM returns to his feet on the outside and turns around, he gets knocked down by a suicide dive from Star!
Geoff Penzer: Now Star is taking it to the air.
As Star gets back to her feet, Gozanles runs towards the ropes, leaps over the top and knocks her down with a no hands topé!
Geoff Penzer: It’s looking like a pileup on the 405 outside the ring!
All four wrestlers remain sprawled out on the floor until Gold is the first to get back to his feet. After pulling himself up using the edge of the apron, he goes over to EGM, slams him face-first onto the apron and shoves him back into the ring. While EGM tries to shake out the cobwebs, Gold climbs up onto the apron, walks across and goes to make his way up to the top turnbuckle. But before he can dive off, EGM runs into the corner and shoves Gold’s legs out from under him. Gold howls in pain while he’s crotched on the top turnbuckle.
Geoff Penzer: I wouldn’t exactly call that screaming for joy.
EGM makes his way up onto the middle ropes and tries to lift Gold up for a brainbuster. But on the way up, Gold knees him in the head. After EGM is forced to lower him down, Gold takes EGM and shoves him down onto the canvas. After EGM bounces off the canvas and turns over onto his back, Gold can be seen waving him up. As EGM gets up off the mat and is hunched over, Gold leaps off and drives him down with a diving legdrop bulldog.
Geoff Penzer: Gold just took a page out of his girlfriend’s book with that move! He makes the cover.
