Seek nothing outside yourself

Having taken a few days to collect his thoughts about what happened in his rematch against Becker Gaines, a match marred both by Gaines’ constant use of shortcuts as well as the unwanted interference of Terrence Tillman, Shintaro Majima appears to have calmed somewhat
It should be noted, however, that a few days ago he was willing to sully his hands with the blood of those who have wronged him – so that calming “somewhat” does not mean he is an island of tranquillity situated upon a turbulent ocean…
Thieves.
Normally this is where Majima would calmly fold his hands on his lap, but this time he brings down one hand onto the back of the other with more force than necessary, causing an audible of flesh on flesh
If you asked an honourable man what should happen to thieves, they would tell you they deserved to be punished for their actions while also being made an example of, not only telling them their actions have consequences but also give that same message to others. Yet in Jordan Cain’s world, thieves are to be protected at all costs and even rewarded. This says more about Jordan Cain than anybody else... tapping a finger against the back of his hand, Majima considers his next action, Am I expected to sink to that level to survive, to rely on underhanded tactics or to interfere in other people’s matches? Is that what Jordan Cain wants from me? It would not surprise me if that was the case, yet that does not mean I should like it? Accept it, even?
Rising from his seat, Majima paces for a few moments, his body tense as thoughts of Becker Gaines and Terrence Tillman flow through his mind, As much as it pains me, I am in no position to focus on the 15 Championship this weekend – yet I am able to focus on the Paramount Championship. Taking a moment to consider the impending battle royal to crown the new champion, a malicious glint appears in Majima’s eye, Considering what has been taken from me, I am not going to prioritise the Paramount Championship as I enter the match, as there is something more important for me to do: to take the Paramount Championship away from both Becker Gaines and Terrence Tillman.
As the two of them revel in stealing from me, it is time they both felt what it is like to have something they worked for snatched from their hands, and before they can react they find themselves kicked to the ground and left to sit in the dirt, where they will sit and think of what they could have had. Pausing for a moment as he considers the image he is painting, a brief flash of a satisfied smile appears on Majima’s lips – until he suppresses it, To twist the knife further, perhaps I should gloat about what I had done on social media afterwards, calling them weak and pathetic, to mock them for failing? I wonder how they would react. Would they accept that they deserved it, or would they continue claim innocence and act as if they were the victims?
As he leaves the question to float in the air, Majima returns to his seat where, once again, his body language is a lot less restrained than usual, Of course the prize of the Paramount Championship interests me, not least as it would be the perfect symmetry to be the first to hold both belts in this company, and yet I have to ask what is the purpose of doing so? How long before somebody else stole the title from me, with Jordan Cain manipulating the strings from behind the scenes so he can watch the performance he and he alone wishes to see? Majima shakes his head, One way to guarantee that he will not see this is to be directly involved in the moment where Becker Gaines fails to achieve what he and Jordan Cain had set their hearts upon… Majima pauses for just long enough to let a question formulate, as for Tillman, I shall consider his elimination to be something long overdue.
Pausing once more, Majima looks directly towards the camera, It may sound a bizarre path to you, but consider this: there are times where the small battle affects the larger war, and this is one of those times. By winning those battles of mine I will be able free my mind and focus my energies upon the Paramount Championship. To approach this match in any other way would be as foolish as expecting that I will not be seeking vengeance against those who truly deserve it.
