Who's Better?

“Shit, I really fucked him up.”
Jensen Banks lets out a sigh, which can be heard all around the warehouse. He moves forward cautiously, keeping his eyes locked on his former friend Rhys Baines. The Welshman has been patched up as best as possible by some of Jensen’s former “colleagues”, but his ring gear is still stained with blood and he actually looks worse for wear than when Jensen dropped him with a Bank Shot 24 hours ago.
Leaning over, Jensen tries shaking Rhys awake. It takes a couple of seconds, but the Welsh native eventually comes to. The two stare at each other...before Rhys spits right in Jensen’s face. Banks, showing a look of disgust, extends his hand out for something to wipe the bloody spit off before he’s handed a handkerchief. As he’s wiping the spit off his face, he looks at Baines and shakes his head.
“That was unnecessary. But I guess it’s something I should have expected from this new you. Too bad the new you couldn’t beat me last night at Illusions.”
Rhys snarls, clearly furious that he fell to his former best friend at the Hard Knox Wrestling pay-per-view, thus losing official custody of his son, the one he abandoned, to Jensen. After Banks wipes the spit off of his face, he rises and turns, walking away from Baines, who continues to snarl at him. Once he’s out of Rhys’ earshot, Patrick walks up to Jensen, looking at the stitches on his forehead.
“Jesus, you got fucked up.”
He shrugs, but Patrick looks past him towards Rhys.
“What are we going to do with him?”
“I’m going to try and bring the old him back.”
“And if that fails?”
Jensen lets out another sigh.
“If that fails...then I’ll do what I’m supposed to do.”
He takes one last look at Baines.
“I’ll kill him.”

“Here we are again.”
The video opens up to the current LDFC Old North champion, Jensen Banks, standing in front of the LDFC banner in the LDFC gym, his title slung over his right shoulder.
“It feels like it honestly was just yesterday when I was booked to face Terrence Tillman. We had both said some words and we were ready to fight. You were ready to prove that you are still one of the top dogs in LDFC while I was ready to prove that I could be a champion, my title match against Skylar Cloud being just around the corner of that match. It was a match that had a lot of heated words behind it and we actually went in that ring and threw everything at each other. You got some near falls and I got some near falls. We had the audience on their toes. And just when I thought I was going to put you away...Skylar and her cronies dragged me out of the ring and attacked me.”
He scowls.
“Of course, you did nothing to really help me that night, but I don’t really hold that against you. You didn’t owe me your help. We aren’t and will likely never be friends. And it really wasn’t any of your business to get involved in it anyway. But that attack? It left one big unanswered question.
And the question is who is better?
See, I believe that I am better than you and you believe that you are better than me. It’s a common thing that happens between two wrestlers, especially when they’re considered closer to the top of the mountain than most of their peers, like you and I are. Now, I say that I was seconds away from putting you down with a Bank Shot, but we don’t really know that, do we? For all we know, you could have reversed and taken me down instead. The ending of this match left us with that unanswered question...and in two days, we answer it.
This time though, we are going to find out who is better. There’s no Skylar Cloud or a group of goons there to jump me and ruin a perfectly good match. Neither of us has really gotten on the bad side of anyone to the point they would try to interfere, though knowing you, this might not be the case by the time our match comes around, Terr.
Make no mistake about it, I know you’re talented. I know you can go with the best of them, as proven with your matches against Nest. But the only thing your talent is about to get you is another loss on your record and a trip. A trip straight to Bank Shot City.”
Jensen winks.
“BANK ON IT.”
