MAIN EVENT
Jimmy Page vs. Ricky Valero
Jimmy Page vs. Ricky Valero
"Cinderella Man" by Eminem blasts throughout the arena. White and pink strobe lights flash as Ricky makes his appearance and stands through a cloud of fog bouncing on his toes with a sly grin on his face. He makes his way toward the ring high fiving fans along his route. He circles the ring, before reaching the far corner. Slowly he climbs up the steps and leans his back against the ropes, bouncing against them a few times with his arms wrapped over top of them before spinning on his heels and hopping into the ring.
J.A. Aldridge: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Staten Island, New York! Weighing in at 227 pounds! He is one-half of the FGA World Tag Team Champions… RICKY VALERO!
Ricky spins around in the center of the ring with his arms extended out, absorbing the crowd's cheers. He walks towards the ropes on the far side of the ring and simply smiles. The music slowly quiets down as Ricky turns and leans against the ropes closest to the entranceway, awaiting his opponent.
Kris Cruise: It’s main event time here tonight as Ricky Valero takes on Jimmy Page! Not to look ahead. But in two weeks, Valero and Luke Jackson will be taking on a team that they know very well. That’s right, Valero and Jackson will be taking on the Rising Circus, the team of Mr. Rottentreats and Mistress Ai, in non-title action! Valero was very adversarial towards Treats in the build towards the Joker’s Wild Tag Tournament finals. You have to wonder if those words will come back to bite him.
Stephy Auger: If Page has his way, Valero won’t even make it to the next Vertigo.
The eerie cue up of "They Are Lost" by Last Remaining Pinnacle plays for ten seconds...then dies down, along with the lights. Suddenly the sound of drums and a electronic melody plays. The lights flash in red to the melody of the song. The song, "Can You Feel My Heart" by Bring Me The Horizon plays as a silhouette appears from out of the red. In his signature controlled stagger, Page comes out, hands extended, head down. Slowly his raises his head, soaked in the red lights. Fans boo him as he makes his way to the ring. He whips his hair out of his eyes as he snatches away from of the extended hands, almost threatening to hit someone. Page stops from time to time, swearing at some of the fans who chant "FUCK YOU JIMMY!!" and "PAGE SUCKS!!!" getting in their face. As Page finishes his march of ridicule, he stops at the top of the ramp. His eyes dead, his expression stoic as he glares around the arena, the lights still radiating that deadly red.
J.A. Aldridge: And his opponent, from Flint, Michigan! Weighing in at 236 pounds! He is the self-proclaims “KING OF THE F’N WORLD”... JIMMY PAGE!
Page goes in front of the ring, slides onto the apron on one knee and quickly gets inside. He goes to his right and climbs the turnbuckle and stands on top of it, swearing at the fans, pointing at himself, talking to them, taunting them, mocking them. He stands there for a moment, then routinely spits his gum at the crowd. Page leaps down, slides down into the corner, and sits on the middle turnbuckle. He rests his left hand on his cheek nonchalantly, waiting for the match to begin.
Kris Cruise: The wrestling world is still buzzing over Page’s vicious attack on LDFC’s Emily Carter from a month ago. From what we’ve heard, she’ll be appearing at their At All Costs supercard to discuss her future in LDFC. But one person that hasn’t been discussing anything is Chandler Scott, who hasn’t been seen or heard from in weeks.
Stephy Auger: You know, I really didn’t want to believe it. But the more and more he remains quiet, I’ve got to admit that Page was right. He is a coward. If he’s smart, he’ll stay gone. Unfortunately for everyone else, that means that Page will have to let out all that pain, hurt and aggression out on the rest of the roster. Like “Pretty” Ricky here. Well, he won’t be so pretty once Page gets done with him tonight. I can guarantee you that.
The bell sounds as both men make their way towards the center of the ring and lock up. After jockeying for position, Page moves Valero into the corner. The ref quickly gives them until the count of five to break it up.
Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR…
Both men appear to make a clean break. Page then throws out a right hook. But Valero ducks. When Page turns around, the crowd cheers as Valero nails him with a series of right hands to the face. He then takes Page and goes for an irish whip. But Page reverses, sending Valero into the opposite corner. But Valero puts on the brakes by putting his foot on the middle turnbuckle. He then greets an oncoming Page with a back elbow to the face. Valero then knocks Page with a series of knife edge chops. Valero then turns to run into the ropes. But before he can bounce off the ropes, Page darts over and doubles him over with a knee to the midsection. Page then takes Valero and tosses him through the ropes and onto the apron. After pulling Valero’s upper body through the middle & top ropes, Page steps back, runs over and nails him with a big boot to the side of the head. After knocking Valero back down into the ring, Page makes the cover.

Page lets go. He then takes Valero, brings him from out of the corner and whips him into the ropes. When Valero comes back, Page goes for a tilt-a-whirl slam. But Valero counters with a tilt-a-whirl headscissors takeover. Page returns to his feet, but Valero returns him to the mat with a dropkick. Page gets back up, but Valero knocks him back down with another dropkick. As Page gets up, Valero grabs him and goes for an irish whip. But Page reverses, sending Valero into the ropes. When Valero comes back, Page goes for a back body drop. But Valero slips down from behind. He immediately grabs Page to set up a German Suplex. But Page nails him with an elbow to the face. After performing a standing switch, he grabs Valero from behind, runs and tosses him over the top rope.
Stephy Auger: There goes Valero...
Page turns and walks away from the ropes. But unbeknownst to him, Valero is hanging onto the ropes. Valero then slowly pulls himself over the top rope and back into the ring. When he turns around, he sees Page charging at him. So Valero pulls down the top rope, sending Page tumbling to the floor. Once Page slowly gets up on the outside, Valero takes off into the far ropes. When Valero comes back, he leaps over the top rope and knocks Page down with a plancha to a roar of cheers.
Kris Cruise: Valero flattened Page with that dive to the floor!
Valero picks up Page and nails him with a knife edge chop. He then nails Page with another chop... and another... and another. After a kick to the midsection, he slams Page face-first onto the apron before shoving him back into the ring. Valero then rolls himself back inside and makes the cover.

Kris Cruise: Valero’s holding his own in there against Page. The man is more than just a tag wrestler. He’s a world traveled vet with a wall full of titles.
Stephy Auger: Good for him. But what has he been doing for these last several months? That’s right, tag team wrestling. He’s used to tagging out when he gets tired. He’s used to tagging out when his body is so worn down that he can’t continue. Let’s also remember that Valero isn’t a spring chicken. He’s getting a little long in the tooth. So yeah, he’s doing well for now. But the longer this match goes, the more it favors Page.
Valero picks up Page and whips him into the ropes. When Page returns, Valero delivers a bridging northern lights suplex.

Stephy Auger: … which is just going to slow down Valero even more.

But as he turns, Page uses his free leg to kick him square in the face. As Valero stumbles back into the corner, Page turns over and tries to get back to his feet. Once Page is back to a vertical base, Valero runs from out of the corner, hops onto Page’s shoulders and flips back for a hurricanrana. But Page blocks it. He then hoists Valero back up, runs forward and delivers a turnbuckle powerbomb.

The ref kneels back down and asks Valero if he wants to quit. Valero refuses to quit in between guttural wails.
Stephy Auger: Go ahead, Ricky. Just quit. Save yourself for another day. You won’t be doing yourself or Luke Jackson any good by taking more punishment.
Valero begins to feed off the energy of the crowd. He slowly turns over onto his knees before getting back to his feet. He then nails Page with five elbows to the midsection. While Page is doubled over, Valero takes off into the ropes. When he comes back, Page throws him down with a high-speed tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. The crowd boos as Page makes the cover.
