“Heyyy guys,” Annie chirps cheerfully from her perched position on the edge of her bed. She waves at the camera before glancing down to her left side, scowling as her attention is drawn by the beeping of her cell phone. “Seriously…” she scolds herself before quickly turning the phone onto silent and focusing on the camera once again.
Her hair is straightened today, hanging low over her shoulders, partially covering her sequined ‘Rotten to the Core’ t-shirt that J.B. Ronie gave her as a gift earlier this year. “Soooo, 2nd Impact is coming up soon and as I’m sure you all know, I’ve got a huuuge match against Hana Song on the show. And, like, loads of people have been coming up to me and asking me why I’m competing on an LDFC show, and why I really felt the need to challenge Hana to this match.”
“And I’ve kinda been wondering the same thing, but I guess what it really comes down to is what some people like Laurel and Tony have been telling me for a while…” she pauses, not quite sure how Laurel and Tony both gave her the same advice, “…that I’ve gotta fight my own fights.”
“Like, ever since last year when The Black Hand thought they should attack me backstage, and then everybody jumped on them on Twitter. I never wanted that. And I never really got the chance to have a proper match against them ‘cause the only time we got to face them after that, it ended it DQ.” She shakes her head.
“But whenever someone like The Fratdaddies has tried to put me down, I’ve done my best to stop them. Like, I’ve wrestled against them probably five times this year…” Annie giggles; she doesn’t mind that she lost most of those matches, it’s just that she stood up to Tony, Seth and Chandler whenever she needed to, “…and when Jimmy Page attacked me recently … well I still need to pop him pow!” Annie feigns a right hook, “Right in the kisser!”
“So when you decided to sneak attack me, Hana, for whatever reason you wanna say it was for, you had to know that I’d fight back. And it’s probably what you were wanting. But I’m not gonna sit here and, like, lecture you about how what you’re doing is wrong. Or about how you’d be better off fighting the fair fight.” She shakes her head. “‘Cause you’re not interested in that, and you’ve made that really clear. And I’ve seen you wrestle against Bert, The Baroness, Bree Nelson so I know you’re an awesome wrestler. That’s probably why you’re in the best developmental promotion around, LDFC!” Yes, she winks at the camera as she says that, and gives it a thumbs up. Annie giggles before recomposing herself.
“But I’m not here ‘cause you fight dirty. I’m here ‘cause you picked a fight with me, and I’m gonna answer that challenge, Hana. You’re not the first one to try it, and you’re not gonna be the last,” Annie shakes her head again, a scowl crossing her lips as she does so, “but I’m gonna do something about it this time. Which is why this Wednesday I’m going down to Gibsonville, North Carolina to compete on the LDFC supershow, 2nd Impact. And if you think I’m just some unsuspecting prey walking into your territory, then you need to know I’m not going down without a fight, Hana. That if you think you’re gonna be the snake lying in wait to strike, I’m gonna be that angry cottontail rabbit fighting with everything she’s got to make sure that you never mess with her again!”
“This isn’t gonna be my funeral. This is just gonna be me standing up for myself, and fighting my own fight. This isn’t about standing up to bullies, it’s about not being a victim when you can do something about it.” Annie says, sternly, “So I’ve got a special #grrface saved just for this very event, Hana. So when you’re standing across that ring from me, you’ll know you picked on the wrong person. And this Wednesday night on 2nd Impact, you’re not gonna be the one striking or biting, nuh uh…” Annie shakes her head, “…you’re gonna be the one getting bit! And when it’s all said and done, you should know better than to try this the next time our paths cross, ‘cause otherwise I’mma pop you again, pow!” she throws a straight left at the camera, “Right in the kisser! And knock those fangs out so you can’t bite anyone else either…” Annie pulls a #grrface, her top lip curled upwards, her brow lowered, as she raises the devil horns to the camera, and the scene fades to black.
