Shintaro Majima is once again in the Lion's Den performance centre, and he looks noticeably calmer than he was the last time we saw him - however, he may look calmer, but that doesn't mean he is the pillar of stoicism we know him to be
Can somebody tell me what Terrence Tillman wants? If he is not spoken about, he complains - yet when I speak of him, he complains. Does he even know what he wants, or is he the arrogant fool that I said he was?
Majima takes a moment to contemplate the charges against Tillman, before reaching an answer on his own: Yet he is content to confirm that he is an arrogant fool all by himself. He is content to find ways to speak down about me defeating Butcher, yet he leaves a question that he does not think will be asked: if he says it does not matter when one person wins a match, does that not mean that Tillman's wins do not matter? Or is it that, in the arrogant fool's eyes, the only wins and losses that matter are his? That is not the opinion of someone that people should take pride in, that is the opinion of somebody that should be ignored, shunned, and forgotten. The failure that awaits him will make that happen sooner than he would dare think.
Majima ruefully shakes his head at the mere thought of Tillman's childish ignorance
Perhaps my time is better spent speaking of those worth talking about, rather than those who are desperate for attention because their lives lack worth.
Majima pauses, letting the comment - and the implications about who he is talking about - sink in
For example, Endee Leights feels this match is hers to lose, that she is there to make up the numbers before somebody else gains the victory. It says so much that somebody with such a negative outlook, who feels they are wasting the time of everybody else, deserves respect far more than certain other competitors in this match - even if she doesn't feel it is worth her time to study her opponents.
Yet the one thing Endee Leights should worry about is not feeling that winning is out of her reach, but the knowledge that I have scouted her well, as there will be a moment when she thinks that things are going her way at last - but I knew what she wasgoing to do, and I will take away her momentum and, with it, her hopes of overcoming the odds.
Yet she can take comfort in knowing that if Skylar Cloud attempts one of the cheap tactics against me, she will regret it. I know this won't comfort Endee at the time, but in time she may find herself remembering the time that I destroyed Skylar Cloud in front of her, and will smile at that thought. I am sure she will not be the only one.
Majima pauses and almost cracks a smile at that last point
Miss Cloud, you think your name means everything, but your name will not serve as a distraction when your opponents are taking it in turns to shut your mouth, nor will it protect you when you when your opponents hit you with all they can muster, which they will wish to do once you open your mouth. As you may have noticed, I have no time for opponents who have nothing beside their empty words - except the urge to silence them. Permanently.
Majima gives the merest hint of a nod to camera
Which leaves the final opponent worth speaking of, Serenity, who deserves the gratitude of the whole of Lion's Den for shutting the mouth of the ignorant brat, so if anyone thinks of ruling her out as she is primarily a tag team competitor they are making a mistake as she has proven herself to be a capable performer in her own right. Unlike Endee Leights, I have done my research.
The arrogant fool may be talking down to us with talk of brass rings and chasing gold, but my focus is more straightforward: correcting mistakes, not just mine but of the many who have tried and failed to defeat Nest for the Apex Championship.
Looking for a fresh start for myself is the immediate goal, but in doing so I wish to give Lion's Den a fresh start - not as a means to allow my ego to swell as certain people clearly would, but because I wish to prove myself as the true warrior of Lion's Den, and the Apex Championship will not only give me the chance to prove this, but also the opponents to confirm it without question.
